Respond
You text me
You call me
You email me
You must be
Wondering
Why I don't
Respond to you?
The reason is
My dear,
I'm too hurt
To come back
To you.

Turn It On
Every day just turn it on
Place it upon
the desk or in my pocket
That's what I do with it
Every day, just waiting for a call
Waiting for a text for your text, for your call, but it shall
Not come, it will not it just won't
Because you really don't
Text me or call me
But I'll turn it on and wait, you know just to see
In fact I'll keep hoping it's you
With every beep and even ring too
When I check it'll be like a reality check
It'll only take a sec
Before I realize it's not you, it will not be you, it won't
I wonder if you don't
Turn on your phone, but then again maybe you don't care
Maybe because I'd never dare
To complain to you about this to your face
I can't take the disgrace
I'll let you talk to me as much as you like, not as much I do
My feelings don't matter much in this situation, maybe not even to you
I pray they do, that they do mean something to you
But the longer you don't respond, it makes me wonder who
You think I am, or how you think of me
I wish I could see
How you see, but every day I'll turn it on
Take a breath with every sound hoping it's you, but then the moment's gone
Now it's just on
Placed upon... why do I even bother?

Not A Second Time
(j. lennon/p. mccartney)
You know you made me cry
I see no use in wondering why
I cry for you yeah
And now youve change your mind
I see no reason to change mine
My cryings through ooh ooh
You were giving me the same old line
Im wondering why
You hurt me then youre back again
Oh no no not a second time
You say you spoke too soon
And now you want to change your tune
Well I do too yeah
You wanna try again
I got no reason to pretend
I aint your fool oh oh
You were giving me the same old line
Im wondering why
You hurt me then youre back again
Oh no no not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time
Not a second time, not a second time

My Dear Friend
you have been there for me no matter what
you have pick me up when i fall down
my dear friend
you are the reason why i am still alive
you are the reason why i can love again
because of you i have the strength to fight against enemies
you understand the pain i'm going through
you make me stand up on my feet
my dear friend
you have always there waiting for my call
you have always put a smile on my face when i feel sad
my dear friend
what would i do without you
who would i be without you
you never avoided me like everybody else
god drift us apart
we no longer see each other face again
my dear friend
everything seems different and harder when you're here
my tears are like waterfall
they keep on falling
my dear friend
please come back into my life
holding hands in the darkness
sing our favorite song until we fall asleep
my dear friend
let finish what we has started together
alone it will take years
my dear friend
you fight my fight
you got my back
my dear friend
how could i thank you
what should i do to please you
oh my dear, dear friend
it is a pleasure to have you as a friend
thank you my dear, dear friend

The Declining Art Of Communication
We all seem to be living our lives
At an ever increasing pace.
We are finding less and less time
To meet up with people face to face.
You often read stories in the press,
About people being fired or dumped by text.
The way in which we communicate has changed so much,
That you do find yourself wondering 'Whatever next? '
There are some things, which by text or email,
You just really shouldn't say:
Like, if you're telling someone that they're no longer wanted,
Or that someone they know has just passed away.
You can check your email at your leisure,
Unlike if someone contacts you by phone,
But like they say, it's good to talk,
So you really shouldn't moan.
I love receiving letters on fancy paper from my friends,
And hear them dropping through my letterbox,
But the whole idea of 'snail' as opposed to email,
Is a concept which, nowadays, is often mocked.
If you're talking face to face,
You're less likely to get the wrong impression.
You can connect more to people's thoughts and feelings,
If you are able to read their facial expressions.
Tackling a sensitive subject with someone,
Often has us trembling with fear,
But is it really better for it to be discussed
Electronically, rather than ear to ear?
Sometimes, you can spend hours together,
During which time, very little of importance is said.
Then, later, you log on to your computer,
And discover all the gossip is on there instead!
If you put all of your news on Facebook,
You may find your face to face conversation is suddenly dead.
When you next meet up with someone and mention your news,
They will turn to you, and say 'Yeah, you said'!
The world of communication has come on in leaps and bounds,
But, in some ways, it has advanced too much.
Communication can now be so impersonal,
That we seem to have lost the human touch.

I Remain, Yours Truly
If you want me to accept and believe,
You are there caring and in my corner...
With a watching my back to protect.
I suggest giving me a hint or clue,
As to when you do this.
And it doesn't have to be often.
Not at all.
Even done on a semi-annual basis,
Would be quite nice to know...
You can actually show me.
I am sure from your prospective,
Your feelings for me should be clear.
But when I am asked by others,
If we still are together and a couple in love...
I would like to answer those who question,
With a more decisive response.
Please call, email, text or fact...
At your earliest convenience.
I remain,
Yours Truly.
PS...Will I get to see you,
BEFORE your 'next' business trip?
Just curious.

Remedy? See it, Read It And Delete
Why send a message,
With an expectation to receive a response.
If your 'email' box is full and blocked.
And when you confront people,
You ask of them...
Why has their communication stopped.
Why bother to have email at all?
If this instant way of keeping in touch,
Is quicker than making a telephone call.
Or if someone says,
'I answered your message...
Why haven't you responded? '
And that person says...
~Time has prevented me to do it.~
And this is the same person heard to say...
~No one ever tells me what's going on.
And if they did...
I haven't reviewed my email for weeks.~
Remedy?
See it, read it and delete!

I Can't Text You Roses
I cant text you roses,
or fax you my heart.
I'd email you kisses,
but we'd still be apart.
I love you to pieces,
and just wish you'd see
that I care for you so much
'cause you mean the world to me.

Reasons For Rapture
there were reasons for rapture
more are coming and the heart merely listens
weak, and submissive to the speed of the
brain's efficient delights: logic, pertinence,
materiality, relevance,
reason brags, a smooth line, without curves,
a stare of the eyes, unblinking to emotions,
if this is this, then this must be that,
and given the facts, these are the only
possibilities, nothing obscure, nothing absurd,
and everything went on smoothly like a jet
propulsion creating a smoke sort of impression
on the clouds on that clear day when you held
your hand at the tip of your cap, solid and stable,
on the day of the hearts, where can reason be?
you receive no calls, no text, no card, this is passe,
no rose, no email, no greetings from the gate or
the path where you pass your life, tears flow like
regret that came late, always late, well, this is not
the end, you are strong, you know what to do,
embrace reason again, and feel like a new machine.

I Dont Want To Hurt
I don't want to hurt
I don't want to love
Every time
I get hurt
When I fall in love fast
I get hurt the same way
Fast
It seems like when I try
His love seem to die
He leave has me wondering why
Do you feel the same way?
I say I won't do it again
But I find myself
Back in love again and again
I don't want to hurt anymore
So why am I back in love?
Simple just to
See if any man will ever love me
Like you did before

Money and Friends
When I was a teen my mom would say
“If you know someone you dislike
Loan that bright person some money
And he’d sure disappear from site”
“People that owes you money
Would not call or email to say hello
Would not send a card on a holiday
They’d rather wish you’d go away”
“Friends that asked you for a loan
And you happened to be broke
Would not call or email to say hello
Would not send a card on a holiday”
My smart mommy is always right
I think I’d rather keep happy friends
Ones that don’t need my money and
Ones I like to call and love their emails

Text
I text you
The words i mime
There is really no reason or rhyme
To persist after all this time
But can't resist as my love still stands
Clings to hope with two bleeding hands
And when i ask 'am i still in your heart'
You depress with your silence
And depart.
I text her
And sometimes for days
She leaves me in deepest malaise
Then answers when my last nerve end frays.
And the light that i saw in her eye
Gently flickers and threatens to die
As my memory, tired and vexed
Sees me through
'Til she sends the next text.
I text you
Think maybe you care
That some day or year we will share
our one love extraordinaire
But time eats away at our life
Cutting with razor sharp knife
And our old dream of husband and wife
Faces the gallows next
Yet absurdly i send you a text.

I Got An Email Today
I got an email today
It said an old friend of mine
Had died today
God had drawn the line
And his weary body
Was finally ready to cross
His family is at a loss
But just maybe
His spirit is ageless
I got an email today
It made me think of tomorrow
And to reflect back at the time borrowed
What would you do
If the doc told you
Your time has grown short
Get your life in order
And say your goodbye's
To your husband or wife
Say your goodbye's
To your kids
When they were your life
I got an email today
It told me life is too short
Too short to sit back to waste

I've Cried My Eyes Out
I've cried my eyes out
Wondering why
I've thought of every reason
Why I dont deserve you
I've made reasons why no one should get close to me
I've cried my eyes out
Wishing we could be together
Wondering why we aren't
I've cried my eyes out
Wishing I could take back everything that I have done or said that has hurt you
I've cried my eyes out
Knowing that I have made your life a living hell
I've cried my eyes out knowing nothing
I do or say will ever get me closer to you

Dear Abbie
(kinky friedman)
From a friend of yours in texas
Whos had a little trouble finding love.
Im considered quite attractive
And Ive always been quite active at the club.
But the life I leads so lonesome
That I wonder, abbie, if youve ever known
What its like to live in others dreams
And never have a dream to call your own.
Theres a divorcee in dallas,
Theres a girl whos much too young in idaho.
London bridge is falling down
And the clergyman is out of town
And theres a daughter no one wants in buffalo.
And Im wondering bout america,
Wondering if we lost more than the war.
Im just wondering if theres any silver lining left
Behind the golden door.
And dear abbie, abbie I just had to write.
Dear abbie, abbie is there any love in sight ?
Well, the last time that I saw you
You were living at the old chelsea hotel.
Even though its been a while, hell
Even now it makes me smile
To think of how you tennis-shoed the bill.
And it seems like only yesterday
You fell off of the sea-saw and you cried
And your daddy lit the fireworks
In the backyard on the fourth day of july.
And dear abbie, abbie I just had to write,
Dear abbie, abbie, where are you tonight ?

Your My Everything
Your everything to me,
Your the reason I wake up,
your the reason for my smile,
your the reason for my laughs,
your the reason I am living,
With out you:
I would be a freak,
I would be a nobody.
If I lost you:
My eyes would become a river,
My heart would break,
My mind would go crazy,
my soul would die,
I would become limp
a total wreck,
I would need cpr,
I would have to go to the emergancy room,
My world would perish,
Come tumbling down,
it would be wwIII
Cuz Id be fighting who/what ever jus to get you back,
Even if I had to kill someone or end up hurt or die, I would stop at nothing jus to get you back.
Cuz I love you soo that with out you, it makes the phrase impossible to live come true.

4 Am
Terry turns, he just cannot sleep
From the ceaseless noise out on the street
Its too hot, its too late
Theres nothing he can do but wait
Terry says Im going nowhere fast
Nobody hears, theres no-one there
Julie wakes to find herself alone
Which comes as no suprise, no suprise
No suprise to be on her own
Its four in the morning,
Why dont you call me
Im sorry I hurt you
I still want you back
Its four in the morning
Julie wakes to find herself alone
Which comes as no suprise, no suprise
No suprise to be on her own
Its four in the morning,
Why dont you call me
Im sorry I hurt you
I still want you back
Its four in the morning
Waiting, Im so tired of waiting
Its four in the morning,
Why dont you call me
Im sorry I hurt you
I still want you back
Its four in the morning
I know what youre thinking
Youre alone now
Im sorry I hurt you
I still want you back
Its four in the morning,
Why dont you call me
Im so tired of waiting
I still want you back

Got Your Digits
You have my digits right?
(Your number oh yeah I do)
You know my email addy also?
(Yup Ditto Messenger, Yahoo and ICQ)
You can text me, call me, or buzz me.
(I can beep you I betcha too)
You can catch me any time.
(Oh Lord I know that’s true)
I am always within reach never out of touch
(Or so you like to think but really not so much)
For you I’m always in I can always make the time.
(That’s your latest spin so my hopes might climb)
Catch you later babe now I really have to fly.
(Uh huh I’m sure that’s true you’re a very busy guy)
Me?
I’m in the book
Still on the same old page
Don’t read too much between the lines
My address hasn’t changed
My calendar is usually open
Just as my door is too
Nothing has been rearranged
(But you knew that didn’t you?)
