Generals & Majors
Generals and majors ah ah
Theyre never too far
From battlefields so glorious
Out in a world of their own
Theyll never come down
Till once again victorious
Generals and majors always
Seem so unhappy less they got a war
Generals and majors ah ah
Like never before are tired of being actionless.
Calling generals and majors
Generals and majors everywhere
Calling generals and majors
Your world war iii is drawing near
Generals and majors ah ah
Theyre never too far
Away from men who made the grade
Out in a world of their own
Theyll never come down
Until the battles lost or made
Generals and majors ah ah
Like never before, are tired of being in the shade

In Operation
Soldiers are in operation, all-through,
Like a war so bound to disbelieve in wars.
Unmistakable are the immaculate generals
To thinkers and to philosophers and guests.
Agree to them whilst your stay on this world
Is conquering the animals and workmen.
The figure is an impressive poison for the purpose
Of war and battles raging in History.
Bless the serenity, the absolute creation of will-power,
Blessing us as well, forming collisions
And afterwards there are mountains to climb.
Drifting is a soldier, drifting is a war
So conquering you, and the whole light of the world.

Song of the Bowmen of Shu
Here we are, picking the first fern-shoots
And saying: When shall we get back to our country?
Here we are because we have the Ken-nin for our foemen,
We have no comfort because of these Mongols.
We grub the soft fern-shoots,
When anyone says "Return," the others are full of sorrow.
Sorrowful minds, sorrow is strong, we are hungry and thirsty.
Our defence is not yet made sure, no one can let his friend return.
We grub the old fern-stalks.
We say: Will we be let to go back in October?
There is no ease in royal affairs, we have no comfort.
Our sorrow is bitter, but we would not return to our country.
What flower has come into blossom?
Whose chariot? The General's.
Horses, his horses even, are tired. They were strong.
We have no rest, trhee battles a month.
By heavn, his horses are tired.
The generals are on them, the soldiers are by them.
The horses are well trained, the generals have ivory arrows and
quivers ornamented with fish-skin.
The enemy is swift, we must be careful.
When we set out, the willows were drooping with spring,
We come back in the snow,
We go slowly, we are hungry and thirsty,
Our mind is full of sorrow, who will know of our grief?

War Is Over
Old soldiers talk about the battles fought
To build a better world for me and you.
They sacrificed their lives to make a dream come true.
Now theyre forgotten men remembered by so few.
But the war is over and the fighting ended many years ago.
The war is over. the battles won but what is there to show?
Side by side they marched together fighting so their children
Could be free,
To build a better world, a new society
All classes unified to live in harmony
Now the war is over so lets forget and leave the past alone.
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
Rich men, poor men make history,
Fighting for the land of hope and glory
A nations voice will sing as one,
A battle cry until weve won
The was is over and the patriotic comrades are no more.
The war is over
Now theyre going home to live just like before.
Arm in arm we sang our patriotic songs of love and sentiment.
Tears of joy to hide the sorrow,
New tomorrows till we meet again,
With a new world to build well say auf weidersein.
What did they do for us?
What did it prove to us?
As we stand beside the silent grave
The unknown soldier cant be saved.
The war is over
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
The war is over.

Won are the battles
I like you to my heart;
I can’t spell it out;
I won’t let it out.
Our sojourn is so short;
Our relation is so subtle;
We both know it to be futile.
Sir, why should I care you,
Whom I can’t carry with me,
And with whom I can’t journey?
To love you is a scandal;
To have you in bed is a brothel;
To own you my own is illegal.
Neither single, nor youthful,
Nevertheless with powerful
Spirit and mind, me you rule.
Of what wood was it made?
How old was it in use?
To know you, I have no mood,
For the spear that you pierced
Into my heart is so venomous
That I lost all my senses.
Sojourn is over forever.
It is time for you to depart
For home which is too remote.
Without knowing, you go,
That you punctured my whim
And that you committed a sin.
In a war one alone can win;
Only in courtship can both win.
Still why did you let me lose?
Maybe I lost you in war;
Maybe I lost to you in war.
Still I had won many battles.
Meaningful glances and gestures,
Heartfelt talks and tacit touches
Are those battles to my credit.
Let me be content with the lost war
In that many battles that I won
Stand sweet memories ever as my own.

As I Ponder'd In Silence
AS I ponder'd in silence,
Returning upon my poems, considering, lingering long,
A Phantom arose before me, with distrustful aspect,
Terrible in beauty, age, and power,
The genius of poets of old lands,
As to me directing like flame its eyes,
With finger pointing to many immortal songs,
And menacing voice, What singest thou? it said;
Know'st thou not, there is but one theme for ever-enduring bards?
And that is the theme of War, the fortune of battles, 10
The making of perfect soldiers?
Be it so, then I answer'd,
I too, haughty Shade, also sing war--and a longer and greater one
than any,
Waged in my book with varying fortune--with flight, advance, and
retreat--Victory deferr'd and wavering,
(Yet, methinks, certain, or as good as certain, at the last,)--The
field the world;
For life and death--for the Body, and for the eternal Soul,
Lo! too am come, chanting the chant of battles,
I, above all, promote brave soldiers.

Soldier (not really a poem)
the american revolution was fought witha new breed of soldier.
this country was founded on that soldier.
that soldier is the one that those on the front lines calls the coward
that soldier is the one that those on the front lines call when they need help
because these soldiers dont miss.
these soldiers are trained harder than the most elite frontline man
these soldiers are tought to kill their enemy before there enemy sees them.
these soldiers are the ghosts in the night,
these soldiers are the wind in the day
these soldiers are everywhere.
these soldiers are the bush next to u.
these soldiers are the the tree across the field.
these soldiers are the lump of snow in the flat plain.
these soldiers are snipers.
snipers are the reason we are free.
snipers stop the enemy before the enemy gets close to u,

Whats Gonna Happen To Us
I saw on the tv were sellin arms to the enemy
So he can blow us all down
When we charge with the cards in our hands
And men in power places are resigning
cause even in high seats the woman is still fighting with the man
And tho I thought the time of the tough guy was just about over
Here comes another savior to stir the soldiers in the field
But what do the generals think about while the soldiers are dying
cause the rallying cries dont reach em
And if they could feel theyd say
Whats gonna happen to us
Does your shrink say find out who you are
Before you try to become a part of me
Id think youd want to anyway
She cant help you live out a middle-class fantasy
But can she talk you into leavin
When your heart tells you to stay
Just when I thought the era of the guru was over
Here comes another savior to stir the soldiers in the field
What does the teacher care about while the student is trying
cause your crying mind dont reach her
If she could feel shed say
Whats gonna happen to us

Credit In The Straight World
And I will awake
Your highness- Im so high I cannot walk
And I will awake
You cripple, you take away my time, my peace, my empathy
No babies sleep on atrophy
Your unborn love and fetals dree
My bitter [ ] legless caress
Go for credit in the straight world
Look a dealer in the eye
Go for credit in the real world, wont you try?
I got some credit in the straight world
I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world you will die
Its the credit in the straight world
Leave your money when you die
Lots of credit in the straight world gets you high
I got some credit in the straight world
I lost a leg, I lost an eye
Go for credit in the real world, you will die

Camps Of Green
NOT alone those camps of white, O soldiers,
When, as order'd forward, after a long march,
Footsore and weary, soon as the light lessen'd, we halted for the
night;
Some of us so fatigued, carrying the gun and knapsack, dropping
asleep in our tracks;
Others pitching the little tents, and the fires lit up began to
sparkle;
Outposts of pickets posted, surrounding, alert through the dark,
And a word provided for countersign, careful for safety;
Till to the call of the drummers at daybreak loudly beating the
drums,
We rose up refresh'd, the night and sleep pass'd over, and resumed
our journey,
Or proceeded to battle. 10
Lo! the camps of the tents of green,
Which the days of peace keep filling, and the days of war keep
filling,
With a mystic army, (is it too order'd forward? is it too only
halting awhile,
Till night and sleep pass over?)
Now in those camps of green--in their tents dotting the world;
In the parents, children, husbands, wives, in them--in the old and
young,
Sleeping under the sunlight, sleeping under the moonlight, content
and silent there at last,
Behold the mighty bivouac-field, and waiting-camp of all,
Of corps and generals all, and the President over the corps and
generals all,
And of each of us, O soldiers, and of each and all in the ranks we
fought, 20
(There without hatred we shall all meet.)
For presently, O soldiers, we too camp in our place in the bivouac-
camps of green;
But we need not provide for outposts, nor word for the countersign,
Nor drummer to beat the morning drum.

When The Generals Talk
Up there on the platform
He is speaking to the people
The people are responding
With clapping and acheering
But the meaning of the message
Not revealed to those assembled
Theyre taken for a ride
Taken in his stride
When the generals talk
You better listen to him
When the generals talk
You better do what he say
Theres a rumour in the ranking
Someones talking insurrection
So the general has a purge
cos he wants to win elections
With the certain satisfaction
That the people are appeased
Long live the revoluton
The generals very pleased
Sitting on the fence both ears to the ground
The fat cats still push the thin cats around

We Battle To See Acts Of Love
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can fill you mind with terrorists...
That keep your fears endearing.
But the fact your battles fought have no love.
And don't you know that you...
The giving up of anything,
Will return.
So why not battle with the act of love.
Burdens carried on one's back,
Seem to be attached...
'Cause they don't do their,
Battles with love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If there is love,
There is a battle...
But the battle can be won,
With a love that's felt in everyone.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If we pick our battles,
We must be matter of fact....
That we battle to see acts of love.
We battle to see acts of love.
Let's say we do it...
That we battle to see acts of love!

Strict Dangers
Strict help may cause alarm,
How do we forget and be warm?
My help strengthens the fearless soul,
Like no mind has ever, no control.
I say this may song and sing
In heavenly dreams, too rampaging.
Let birth strongly forgive as feathers
Are among the few structures and hunters.
How do soldiers be troops for generals,
When dangers belong to the marshals?

My Almighty Comes To Defend With A Rescue
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
I...
Do believe,
My Creator has a plan for me.
Without those battles,
Fought straddled to a saddle.
And I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
No I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
