My Almighty Comes To Defend With A Rescue

No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.

No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.

I...
Do believe,
My Creator has a plan for me.
Without those battles,
Fought straddled to a saddle.

And I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.

No I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.

My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.

My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.

No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.

No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.

My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.

My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.

My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.

We Battle To See Acts Of Love

You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.

You can fill you mind with terrorists...
That keep your fears endearing.
But the fact your battles fought have no love.

And don't you know that you...
The giving up of anything,
Will return.
So why not battle with the act of love.

Burdens carried on one's back,
Seem to be attached...
'Cause they don't do their,
Battles with love.

Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.

If there is love,
There is a battle...
But the battle can be won,
With a love that's felt in everyone.

Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.

You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.

You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.

Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.

Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.

If we pick our battles,
We must be matter of fact....
That we battle to see acts of love.

We battle to see acts of love.
Let's say we do it...
That we battle to see acts of love!

The Gash

Is that gash in your leg
Really why you have stopped?
?Cause I've noticed all the others
Though they're gashed, they're still going
?Cause I feel like the real reason
That you're quitting, that you're admitting
That you've lost all the will to battle on
Will the fight for our sanity
Be the fight of our lives?
Now that we've lost all the reasons
That we thought that we had
Still the battle that we're in
Rages on till the end
With explosions, wounds are open
Sights and smells, eyes and noses
But the thought that went unspoken
Was understanding that you're broken
Still the last volunteer battles on
Battles on
Battles on

God's Protection

Each of us has a course to follow,
God knows every cross I bare,
God knows the battles brewing,
He protect me with His care.

God has set the course I follow,
He knows how much that I can bare,
God will help me fight my battles,
When I go to Him in prayer.

God has given me the power,
He has set the course we share,
God will keep me in the battles,
He protects me with His care.

God protects me with His Spirit,
He delivers me from care,
God defends me in my valleys,
When I go to Him in prayer.

God rejoices in my worship,
He protects me from all harm,
God has helped me win my battles,
Wrapped securely in His arms.

Soldier

The soldier, he has many battle scars.
But there's only a few, others can see.
The wounds, they did not kill him,
They made him who he was called to be.
Although some of his battles were easy,
Through each of his battles he died.
The pieces, which were his true enemy.
Were the pieces that did not survive.
When the soldier, he goes into battle,
He must know who his enemies are.
They are the ones that would harm another,
And make the soldier, seem like he, was the star.
It is only once you discover the enemy,
The march to victory, then can begin.
For the war that the soldier is fighting.
Is the battle he fights from within.
In each of us there is a soldier.
And each day, we fight the good fight.
For the ones who walk into victory,
Are the ones who find their true light.

My Grandfather – I

Oh how I miss him
A man of wisdom
His stories I heard
With the mind of a child
And the love of a grandson

Our fishing trips
Vacations in Boston
Baseball in the backyard
Football on the weekends

When I was older we talked
Spoke of his younger days
Spoke of my days to come
From grandfather to grandson

Yet days he did not speak of
Days of death and days of war
Battles on the beaches of the pacific
Battles of the Second World War

Fighting for our freedom
Fighting for those who live today
Not for honor or glory or power
But for the blessings of liberty

A man of wisdom
A man of honor
Oh how I miss him
My Grandfather

War Is Over

Old soldiers talk about the battles fought
To build a better world for me and you.
They sacrificed their lives to make a dream come true.
Now theyre forgotten men remembered by so few.
But the war is over and the fighting ended many years ago.
The war is over. the battles won but what is there to show?
Side by side they marched together fighting so their children
Could be free,
To build a better world, a new society
All classes unified to live in harmony
Now the war is over so lets forget and leave the past alone.
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
Rich men, poor men make history,
Fighting for the land of hope and glory
A nations voice will sing as one,
A battle cry until weve won
The was is over and the patriotic comrades are no more.
The war is over
Now theyre going home to live just like before.
Arm in arm we sang our patriotic songs of love and sentiment.
Tears of joy to hide the sorrow,
New tomorrows till we meet again,
With a new world to build well say auf weidersein.
What did they do for us?
What did it prove to us?
As we stand beside the silent grave
The unknown soldier cant be saved.
The war is over
The war is over, its time for all the soldiers to go home.
The war is over.

War?

Far harder than the battles of men
is the battle to surrender

Freedom Someday

Im not chasing miracles
I dont want no sympathy
Im waiting for the world
To keep me company
Thinking bout the universe
Trying to keep my fears at bay
And all Im hoping for
Is for someone else to want to say
Freedom someday - are you ready to make the deal
Freedom someday - freedom to live for real
I dont want no money
But buddy, can you spare the time of day
cause silence is, Im sure
The highest price we pay
I dont wish my troubles on anyone
But I can wish them well
So Im knocking on your door
cause theres something I would like to say
Freedom someday - Im ready to make the deal
Freedom someday - freedom to live for real
Somehow life goes on
But when its said and done
Its such a bitter pill
When you think the battles won
You hear the distant guns
Of all those fighting still
The battles in our heads
One we alway lose
Whichever side we choose
We can paint the planet red
Or black and blue instead
But we are one world
Im not chasing miracles
But I dont choose to be this way
Now all Im hoping for
Is for someone else to hear me say
And if our time has come
And if our race is run
Who will pay the bill
When you think the battles won
You hear the distant guns
Of all those fighting still
But the battles in our heads
One we always lose
Whichever side we choose
Paint the planet red
Or black and blue instead
But we are one world

Breaking The Habit

Memories concern
Like opening the wound
Im picking me apart again
You all assume
Im safer in my room
Unless I try to start again
I dont want to be the one
Who battles always choose
Cuz inside I realize
That Im the one confused
I dont know whats worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I dont know why I instigate
And say what I dont mean
I dont know how I got this way
I know its not alright
So Im breaking the habit
Im breaking the habit tonight
Cultured my cure
I tightly lock the door
I try to catch my breath again
I hurt much more
Than anytime before
I have no options left again
I dont want to be the one
Who battles always choose
Cuz inside I realize
That Im the one confused
I dont know whats worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I dont know why I instigate
And say what I dont mean
I dont know how I got this way
Ill never be alright
So, Im breaking the habit
Im breaking the habit tonight
Ill paint it on the walls
Cuz Im the one that falls
Ill never fight again
And this is how it ends
I dont know whats worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
To show you what I mean
I dont know how I got this way
Ill never be alright
So, Im breaking the habit
Im breaking the habit
Breaking the habit tonight

How Do You Like Me Now

Coming from a distance,
You picked me to offend...
And,
How do you like me now?

You believed my wrists,
Were limp and bent...
But,
How do you like me now?

You thought it would be easy,
To spit in my face.
And you thought that the doing,
Would humiliate.
But all you did was show me...
Who to boot,
To the the curb.
And I showed you,
You shouldn't pick your battles with someone...
Accustomed to fighting in dirt with the dirty.
And...
How do you like me now?
And...
How do you like me now!

Coming from a distance,
You picked me to offend...
And,
How do you like me now?

You believed my wrists,
Were limp and bent...
But,
How do you like me now?

You shouldn't pick your battles with someone...
Accustomed to fighting in dirt with the dirty.
And...
How do you like me now?
And...
How do you like me now!

War Is Never Over

War is never over
Thought the treaties may be signed
The memories of the battles
Are forever in our minds

War is never over
So when you welcome heroes home
Remember in their minds they hold
Memories known to them alone

War is never over
Nam veterans know this well
Now other wars bring memories back
Of their own eternal hell

War is never over
For I knew world war two
And I'll not forget the battles
Or the nightmares that ensue

War is never over
Those left home to wait know this
For many still are waiting
It was their farewell kiss

War is never over
Though we win the victory
Still in our minds the battles
No freedom is not free!

Paths Of Victory

Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
I shall walk.
The trail is dusty
And my road it might be rough,
But the better roads are waiting
And boys it aint far off.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
I walked down by the river,
I turned my head up high.
I saw that silver linin
That was hangin in the sky.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
The evenin dusk was rollin,
I was walking down the track.
There was a one-way wind a-blowin
And it was blowin at my back.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
The gravel road is bumpy,
Its a hard road to ride,
But theres a clearer road a-waitin
With the cinders on the side.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
That evening train was rollin,
The hummin of its wheels,
My eyes they saw a better day
As I looked across the fields.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
The trail is dusty,
The road it might be rough,
But the good road is a-waitin
And boys it aint far off.
Trails of troubles,
Roads of battles,
Paths of victory,
We shall walk.
