Constant success shows us but one side of the world; adversity brings out the reverse of the picture.

Upon Your Stunned And Too Late Face

It is too late to reverse,
A dispersing adversity.
It's too late to apologize,
For those conscious mistakes made.

Those opportunities to do this were given.
Now from the heavens,
Spiritual warriors descend.
And nothing on Earth can defend against them.

It is too late to reverse,
A dispersing adversity.
Or come to perceive...
The Almighty is nothing more,
Than a myth to be deceived.

You will know it's too late...
When the look of awe and shock is felt,
Upon your stunned and too late face!
Coming soon from outer space near you.

Succes My World

When I think success
I see it comes
When i dream success
I see it comes
When i touch success
It fates away
Success success
My hope

I'll find success
Embrace success
When i hold success
I'll keep it save
When I have success
I'll share it
Success success
My world

I'll rule
Yes, I'll influence
Thought, Oh thought
My Success Success
I'll keep,
I see
Success a life
Success my hope

Adversity

Adversity, adversity, how strange is your fate.
To most it’s loss and sorrow compounded by a spate
Of shallow glances, lost chances
Nourishing doubts and fears,
With ignominious ignorance,
Washed down by gushing tears.
For these sad souls adversity is a cruel happenstance.
Even before its advent they were afforded little chance.
Though adversity, intrinsically favors neither side,
Some souls advance… even enhance their dance,
While all others continue their downward slide.
This august group knows adversity by another name.
Adversity and opportunity to them sound much the same.
Travails, trauma, thunder clouds are all ways they learn.
Journeys unclear and dangers near they miss not a turn
In their effort to bestow good fortune they have received
So less fortunate souls may sense what it is to be relieved.

ODE TO A PiCtUrE

ODE To A PiCtUrE

Flash-

A Picture
One dimensional in size
Captures an
Image
A moment
in
Time-

A Picture
Works a
Miracle
And makes
Time-
Stand still-
Time-
Moves
As quickly as the
Wind
Is blocked
And made
Frozen
Constant
And
Still-

For One to
Admire a moment,
An Image which
Appears in Different
Shades of
Light…

A Picture
Brings back an
Emotion which
Pumps right through
The Heart-
A sensitive
Delicacy –
Often uncontrolled
And driven on its own
Can be ruled
And triggered
By a Flash-
A speck
Of
Light
With shattering
Colors-
Red,
Blue
And
Green…

A Picture
Not to be measured
In Space but more so
In Time

As it
Sits
Still-

Captured
In
An
Instant
Each
Image
Is
Traced
And
Held
Together
With
Shinny
Little
Sentiments…
Composed
As
Each
Expression
Is made
Visible
At the Palm
Of
One’s
Hand

Held-
Constant
Age less
Memories
Flow
Through
And
Begin to
Sing-
Of
What
Was-

Flash-

A Picture-

Whether it be
Darkness
Or
Lightness
Detections of different states of mind are seen
Emotional sensation in every bodily part
Tell truths of what has been-

A picture
Is cherished
And
Passed down the line-
To take part in the Memories
Once
Lived-

To Be Alone

To Be Alone
Solitude brings peace but not for long, being alone brings
restiveness, a longing for a voice even if it speaks banal
utterances. Silence doesn’t make a man whole he needs
to hear voices, to make sure we are not alone in a world
full of noises that means nothing for the basic needs of
daily life. Simple things like “what’s on telly darling? ”
if we do not listen carefully we lose love behind words
of domestic murmour. If we lose the ability to listen out
for the ordinary we lose the big picture, our remoteness
becomes agonizing, like a constant hum of melancholy.

To Victorious

I sit and pen my heart
Lay bare my every emotion
That I am naked before you
If only in a solitary feeling
You hold more beauty to me
Than anything I care to mention
The depth of my love
That I think of you constant
Picture you in my life
Shows only my honest devotion
You are beautiful I agree
More beautiful in the way you are
For that I love you
Pray, no plead that you do not change
For you are all the beauty
In all the world
And all that should ever be
Saved

Sonnet: Act Per God's Ways

What one day brings, another takes away;
Nothing is constant in our earthly-life;
Just like how comes the night, follows the day;
Just like how comes some joy, follows too strife.

When failures come, success is always nigh;
Defeat is just a step for more success;
Cowards or brave must one day surely die;
Emotions vary from naught to excess.

A content man has peace of mind and heart;
He worries not of present, future, past;
He does whatever he can right from start;
The thought of Death can't make him look aghast.
To live the way God wants, is noblest act;
To die the way God wants is nobler fact.

My Photo Album

The photo album stores the history of my life,
Every page is the mirror of bygone days,
The reflections in the mirror brings memories alive,
The memories which beam me magically in the world of my choice.

A first few pages of my album are blank,
As a little kid I did not want to stand in front of a box with a man in black hood,
I did not want to be seen upside down in his view finder,
I was happier playing soccer somewhere else in the nearby play ground.

The b & w family portrait of me, my siblings and my parents is my prize possession,
It was a rare event when we all could gather and pose for a moment,
Now some are grown up, some have left our midst,
The glimpse of all of us together brings the emotions of close family ties.

As I turn the pages of my album,
I see happiness radiating from every picture,
May it be a smile of a family member or mine,
Or it may be the beauty of the nature smiling at me,
Every picture brings a memory flashback,
of the joys and emotions of important events in my life.

Next my eyes get glued on my personal family picture,
My wife radiating with her beautiful smile,
My kids little scared of the dark studio set,
Me grinning with smile of worth thousand words.
It is picture which remains in my heart and wallet,
It is a picture which brings joy, love and affection to me every minute.

I guess no one ever keeps the pictures of death and agony,
It is hard to see the cremation picture of departed love,
It seems as if my heart is turning into ashes,
The pain and agony of this scene is so much,
The book of album closes by itself.

I leave a rose and a lily near my album,
Rose shows our everlasting love,
The lily puts the aura of comfort and hope,
That one day her love will resurrect and meet my heart.

A Jaundiced view?

We fail because we never learn
the lessons that the past can teach.
The sound advice we choose to spurn
will place success beyond our reach

The question is what is success?
To have the latest gadgetry
Apparently the answers yes.
although they are not necessary.

Technology moves on apace.
Things soon become obsolete.
The greatest failing of our race
We are determined to compete.

Instead of working side by side
to benefit everyone.
The powers that be will still decide.
That they’ll be better on their own.

To show the rest they are the best.
Which fosters greed and selfishness.
What does it matter if the rest
are left to live in wretchedness..

Me first, me first the constant cry.
I do not care a toss for you
You cannot win if you don’t try
to stay ahead the way I do.

I will succeed at any price
and you will pay for my success.
I know that I will not think twice.
My only aim is to impress.

I choose to live in luxury
I see no reason I should not
Although you live in poverty
I will not share what I have got.

It’s human nature at its worst.
I see no signs that it will change.
Our creed has always been me first.
I do not find it to be strange.

But then I am a realist
I view the world cynically.
and not as an idealist
would like to see it be.

Ba-mid-dele(african poem translated in english about hunger)

Feed my struggle
Where I sleep tonight
Under a star-lit sky
Where my spirit crumbles

If dreams could fly
Love would carry all
Above the hardship
Beyond this wall

The earth, our mother
She'd never cast a side
My people torn with hunger
Or let our daughters die

Just know that I
-Home-
Am a well of wisdom
-Home-
I set fears a side
-Home-
My courage brings love
-Home-

We cry hope and wisdom
Sometimes it's not enough
I've prayed for rain
While I've wished for love

This wall has spirit
It keeps out cold
We huddle near it
Its wisdom's, old

Our unsung story
Shows the world our pain
I'd build life up
With the prayers that came

But prayers are answered
Far and few between
My pride and I
Are but one great team

It takes us places
Far beyond the smile
It fills us up
With a meal once while

We eat when morning
Brings us food, first light
The little we have
We share with plight

The pail is empty
My tears have dried
The days are simply
Hard to bare at times

Just know that I
-Home-
Am a well of wisdom
-Home-
I set fears a side
-Home-
My courage brings love
-Home-

What is Success?

Success is not merely becoming wealthy.
Success is not only working for remaining healthy.
Success is not going after fame and name.
Success is not living life for such mind game.

Success is not just taking career to the top.
Success is not staying in a bungalow at the hill top.
Success is working hard for your dreams you believe.
Success is perseverance and efforts till you achieve your deal.

Success is having consideration for everyone.
Success is a strong desire and to live to help each one.
Success is to follow the religion of humanity.
Success is to always remember all pervading divinity.

Success is to follow the principle, “Live and let others live.”
Success is to accept others as diversity of nature; beautiful and alive.
Success is working for happiness of the world, a dedication.
Success is to love everyone unconditionally without any expectation.

Seven and half years ago I began my own journey. For me and my family it was a time of adversity. But during that adversity I derived a deeper faith. And born out of that adversity was a commitment to devote myself to those people and to those issues that truly matter to me.

What Defines Success

What is the journey to success?
Success is not gained by defeat
Success does not occur over night
Success can emerge at any age

Success is working to full potential
Success is courage
Success is lending a hand
Success is not listening to negativity
Success is being positive
Success is living your life instead of the life of others
Success is being proud
Success is overcoming obstacles
Success is striving
Success is listening to your heart

Most of all success is accepting
What you have accomplished

Nightswimming

Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago,
Turned around backwards so the windshield shows.
Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse.
Still, its so much clearer.
I forgot my shirt at the waters edge.
The moon is low tonight.
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night.
Im not sure all these people understand.
Its not like years ago,
The fear of getting caught,
Of recklessness and water.
They cannot see me naked.
These things, they go away,
Replaced by everyday.
Nightswimming, remembering that night.
Septembers coming soon.
Im pining for the moon.
And what if there were two
Side by side in orbit
Around the fairest sun?
That bright, tight forever drum
Could not describe nightswimming.
You, I thought I knew you.
You I cannot judge.
You, I thought you knew me,
This one laughing quietly underneath my breath.
Nightswimming.
The photograph reflects,
Every streetlight a reminder.
Nightswimming deserves a quiet night, deserves a quiet night.

Circle The Drain

I've got myself deep this time
Tons of frustration builds in mine
And it shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
Backward solace right from your side
And you sit and criticize
Shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
I don't need it...I don't
It shows me nothing
It shows me nothing at all
Circle the drain
I don't need it...I don't

Could You Picture Life?

Could you picture life?
Could you picture life?
Misty morning with birds singing melodies,

Could you picture life in the clouds,
The Morning star,
The comets,
The ufos,
The foolishness in racism,

Could you see CNN,
The crimes and the bursting that we play everyday,
The religious crimes,
Could you picture the negation in man?

That we die everyday is sin,
Could you picture?
Love is worth the New World Understanding,
Picture my eyes and see that we all be crying,
My brothers and sisters are dyeing and suffocating,
Picture the New World,

Where the True Understanding will dwell in our heart,
Could you picture?
You and I are no different,
We same creatures that creep for Bread,
Could you picture?
No man better than other,
Could you picture?
The credibility of Human Trust.
