My Photo Album

The photo album stores the history of my life,
Every page is the mirror of bygone days,
The reflections in the mirror brings memories alive,
The memories which beam me magically in the world of my choice.

A first few pages of my album are blank,
As a little kid I did not want to stand in front of a box with a man in black hood,
I did not want to be seen upside down in his view finder,
I was happier playing soccer somewhere else in the nearby play ground.

The b & w family portrait of me, my siblings and my parents is my prize possession,
It was a rare event when we all could gather and pose for a moment,
Now some are grown up, some have left our midst,
The glimpse of all of us together brings the emotions of close family ties.

As I turn the pages of my album,
I see happiness radiating from every picture,
May it be a smile of a family member or mine,
Or it may be the beauty of the nature smiling at me,
Every picture brings a memory flashback,
of the joys and emotions of important events in my life.

Next my eyes get glued on my personal family picture,
My wife radiating with her beautiful smile,
My kids little scared of the dark studio set,
Me grinning with smile of worth thousand words.
It is picture which remains in my heart and wallet,
It is a picture which brings joy, love and affection to me every minute.

I guess no one ever keeps the pictures of death and agony,
It is hard to see the cremation picture of departed love,
It seems as if my heart is turning into ashes,
The pain and agony of this scene is so much,
The book of album closes by itself.

I leave a rose and a lily near my album,
Rose shows our everlasting love,
The lily puts the aura of comfort and hope,
That one day her love will resurrect and meet my heart.

Saddest Photographs V: Behind the Lens

I do picture you
Like a genuine diamond
In the shores of Bimini
For I haven't been and seen
Bimini's blues and greens
I do picture you
In a spectrum of gaiety
In lull reels and negatives
I swoon over the plethora of colors
I found in a grayscale portrait
I do picture you
With eyes close, I do picture you,
With or without the errs and flaws
In a glassine gloss
From a rotogravure photo
But the handsome photo album
Couldn't stay out of the red room
For these pictures are of
My saddest memories
For what you are to me
Is something that will never be
The saddest photographs are those never taken.

That's Not Her Picture

(Bill Anderson/Gary Burr)
That's not her picture
I wish it was
It came with the wallet
I keep it because
It reminds me of her
It reminds me of us
But that's not her picture
I haven't replaced it
I don't know why
It may be the blonde hair
It may be the smile
It brings back the feeling
For a little while
But that's not her picture
I know it's wrong, it's a total stranger
A photo from the discount store
But her picture's home in a thousand pieces
Scattered on the bedroom floor
She might have her eyes
Might have her face
Might look like her
In so many ways
It fools the heart
It fills the space
But that's not her picture
I know it's wrong, it's a total stranger
A photo from the discount store
But her picture's home in a thousand pieces
Scattered on the bedroom floor
That's not her picture
I wish it was
It came with the wallet
I keep it because
It reminds me of her
It reminds me of us
But that's not her picture
Thank you for asking
I miss her so much
But that's not her picture

Anthologies of their laments 9. Little angel

Your dynamite comes in
The powder keg of small
packages
I call you my little angel
Because you're big there
No better fitting descriptions
Of the fire in the annals
Of the epic book of
Poetry to describe you
Saw the picture of you
In the photo picture of
The photography album again
Would swear to you
Am I mad to fall in love
With a picture my love?
Well little angel
I am stuck to see the blues
Standing there in their
Neat rows to confirm little
Angel that I will sing
Your praises till Doomsday
But I can never little angel
Meet you to show you
The tears I cry for lack
of the visibility
To tell you I love
Little angel of my heart

Family Picture?

What is a family picture?
Is it all for real?
Are the people that you see
pretending they don't feel?

Can you see their anger?
Can you smell their fear?
Do you sense unhappiness
in the picture that's so clear?

We're trying to be perfect,
to look a certain way.
A family picture says so much
when there's nothing nice to say.

You plaster on the fake smile.
You put your arms 'just so'.
You show the world your family
without letting your family show.

Could You Picture Life?

Could you picture life?
Could you picture life?
Misty morning with birds singing melodies,

Could you picture life in the clouds,
The Morning star,
The comets,
The ufos,
The foolishness in racism,

Could you see CNN,
The crimes and the bursting that we play everyday,
The religious crimes,
Could you picture the negation in man?

That we die everyday is sin,
Could you picture?
Love is worth the New World Understanding,
Picture my eyes and see that we all be crying,
My brothers and sisters are dyeing and suffocating,
Picture the New World,

Where the True Understanding will dwell in our heart,
Could you picture?
You and I are no different,
We same creatures that creep for Bread,
Could you picture?
No man better than other,
Could you picture?
The credibility of Human Trust.

A Picture

a picture in black and white always brings nostalgia
for instance the picture of mama and papa
beside their daughters
named leonor with the pony tail
betty with the tiny curls
and delia
with her expensive smile
(she seems to frown in all the other
pictures)
and there was this bouncy, plump boy
wrapped with silky cloth
that mama held so tightly in her arms
as papa sat on a
big rosewood chair
like general mcarthur
not afraid of the war
his left hand inside his
pant pocket while
the other hand was holding
mama's waist
i know that boy
with a big smile as though life
is a big joke

that boy was supposedly
their only boy

it was me

and then ten years later
my brother came
i did not know why there was
no other picture
like that

a family, for the time being
let my brother
tell you

we are never close and i do not like
to tell the truth

My New Family

My new family I am starting to build
This is the biggest opportunity for me
I don’t want to die alone
I have seem too much loneliness
And too much sadness in my life
I had gone through it all alone
Not even the evil force can destroy me anymore
My new family soon I will have
I can say that now I am the luckiest woman in the world
Happiness found my way
And it is here to stay
I can’t wait for this moment to arrive that I will have my new family
That I can call my own
I hope my new family will be united
And that I can really love than more
I hope I can be closer and united with my new family
I won’t be lonely anymore
Because my new family will be here soon
And life without a new family is devastating to me
So when this happen I will put together a photo album of my new family
For every one to share

More McCornack Family Memories

Looking through old photos
Of family members from the past
Sure do bring back memories
That will forever and ever last

Grandma with her great grandkids
A sweet smile upon her face
Puts me back to yesterday
So much history I can trace

For I see the house she lived in
When different events took place
There’s Grandpa enjoying family
He too has a smiling face

Oh look at my brother Robert
So young he was back then
So handsome and charming
With his shy and happy grin

Friends and family members
Are carved in a photo album
Old folks when we visited them
Always gave us so much wisdom

We can’t turn back the clocks
But albums are like treasuries
They are passed down forever
To share the family memories!

Ill Wait

Youve got me captured, Im under your spell.
I guess Ill never learn.
I have your picture, yes I know it well.
Another page is turned.
Are you for real ? its so hard to tell,
From just a magazine.
Yeah, you just smile and the picture sells,
Look what that does to me.
Chorus:
Ill wait till your love comes down.
Im coming straight for your heart.
No way you can stop me now,
As fine as you are.
I wrote a letter and told her these words,
That meant a lot to me.
I never sent it, she wouldnt have heard,
Her eyes dont follow me.
And while she watches I can never be free,
Such good photography !
Chorus
(guitar solo)
You cant imagine what your image means.
The pages come alive.
Your magic greets everyone who reads.
Heart-break in overdrive
Are you for real, its so hard to tell,
From just a magazine.
Yeah, you just smile and the picture sells,
Look what that does to me.
Chorus

Take A Picture

Just a picture, could mean a couple words,
But the one I hold dearly close to my heart,
Means more to me than anything else,
This photograph, you I love in black and white.

There are so many things I could say,
Though one word stands out amongst the rest,
It starts with love and ends with you,
The one I want to share with every single moment.

To be with you, at your side, and experience the joys,
Or you in my arms, holding you close to me, as you cry,
We're a team together, we work things out,
So we can both remember these dreams.

I've held your picture as I dream of us,
One day, we'll be holding our picture,
Wedding bells or birthday wishes,
Whichever comes first, I'll always be there.

Be there, when we say our wedding vows,
Or holding your hand as we welcome our new child,
Cheering you on when you go to your new job,
Seeing you smile as life passes us by.

I don't know what else to write or say,
As I look at the picture in my hands,
Putting my pen down and wishing you goodnight,
This photo of you, in black and white.

Family Picture

Its really plain and easy to see
The family grows like a fungus on a tree
The fungus keeps growing wide and tall
Were happy while we flourish
And sad when we fall
Were just a bunch of monkeys
That gather around
And you can not draw the line of
Family ground
Smile for the camera
Wait for the flash
Theres always room for more
In this family bash
Would you like to be
Would you like to be
Would you like to be in my family picture?
Its getting hard to tell who we love and hate
I think its time we set the record straight
There are no papers that we ask you to sign
You dont need to stand in a waiting line
The lens is in focus
Were ready to go
The jointll be jumpin come rain or snow
So hold onto your honey
And drink up your booze
Just hop into the picture
Youve got nothing to lose

Love, You Don't know how Much

Hugs, kisses, and tearful goodbyes
going to be many miles apart
whether long or short trips
a picture of you in a purse or wallet
a reminder how beautiful in love with you
your smile makes the heck it journey more pleasant
thinking of you brings romantic memories
from the first time we met, our wedding dance
holding hands on a walk
so far away your are, but so close in my heart
till we meet again i hear your voice by phone
so soft and sweet, it brings tears of happiness
how special you are to me
you don't know how deep in love I am with you
no distance can keep me from you
our love grows stronger by the day
wait to hold you, to love you, to be with you
you don't know how much you really mean to me
as the miles grow closer and the time ticking by
I know I will be forever in love with you.
across the way as I arrive to see your beautiful body
the smile.the tears, the movement of you lips
saying I miss you and love you so
the big tight hug, the twirling of us together
tears of love and togetherness
you don't know how much in I am in love with you

Empty Picture Frame

An empty picture frame sits upon my desk
Where once upon a time a picture in it did rest
But now the frame stands lifeless and bare
Now it reminds me of a love that once was there.
As in the past the picture brought me happiness and joy
Gave me the reason to live and to write my story
To glance upon and dream of when no one was near
To speak the words of love when them she couldn't hear.
But when she left me I threw her picture away
But I kept that frame to remind me of that day
In remembrance of what she did in and out of my sight
As she was my candle but she blew out that light
So that picture frame I keep it in my plain view
So every time I see it I know what to say and what to do
As once upon a time her picture was in the frame
But now picture is gone but the memories still remain.

Picture Book

Picture yourself when youre getting old,
Sat by the fireside a-pondering on[? ].
Picture book, pictures of your mama, taken by your papa a long time ago.
Picture book, of people with each other, to prove they love each other a long ago.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Picture book.
Picture book.
A picture of you in your birthday suit,
You sat in the sun on a hot afternoon.
Picture book, your mama and your papa, and fat old uncle charlie out cruising with their friends.
Picture book, a holiday in august, outside a bed and breakfast in sunny southend.
Picture book, when you were just a baby, those days when you were happy, a long time ago.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Na, na, na, na, na na.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book.
Picture book,
Na, na, na, na na,
Na, na, na, na na,
A-scooby-dooby-doo.
Picture book,
Na, na, na, na na,
Na, na, na, na na,
A-scooby-dooby-doo.
Picture book, pictures of your mama, taken by your papa a long time ago.
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Long time ago,
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The Edge Of Beauty...

wherein lies the edge of beauty?
of true expression?
be there more truth
in a picture of fruit....
or a picture of the eyes
of a starving child?
be there more love
in an ancient picture of Jesus,
or the picture of an addict,
shaking on a stoop?
be there more reality
in numbed words carefully written,
or in the story of the evicted family,
penned in raw blood?
be there more beauty
in a picture of supposed angels,
or in a tasteful nude?
be there more freedom
in a picture of the revolution,
or in a photo of freedom's protesters,
being beaten by cops?
be there more justice
in the books you burned,
or in the ones you actually read?
be there more spirituality
in the religious head turned,
or in the sensual bathed in awe?
be there more god in the silent follower,
or in the one who dares to speak?

This Family

The picture you paint
Is so wonderfully great
Don’t dare look in a mirror you’d faint
This family’s the furthest thing from great
You scraped all the love off our plate
They say family’s the worst thing to ever happen to you
That very moment I heard it I instantly knew it’s true
You people play so godly, go to church and pray
When truth is you’re just good actors
putting on a play
Not everyone’s this way, the good ones are minority
While the bad ones who need to change are majority
Every family has its ups and downs, smiles and frowns
And occasional stupid clowns
This family has too much; it’s not a circus so stop the act
The best thing you need but don’t have
Is a heart which you people lack
Don’t look in a mirror
Look in one another
Watch the picture you paint
See it, it looks so great

Little Wise Pink Book.

Oh! The wise little pink book,
Which contain the wise words and pictures,
Where my love lies,
And ma heart lay its head.
How shall I forget about you?
You the mother of ma heart,
Oh! My heart soothers.
Which soothes every pimple that causes agony in ma heart.

You’re my photos album,
when I want to see ma boom,
You contain pictures of ma heart,
From head to toe,
I love you so much, little pink book.

You’re my dictionary,
Whenever I need any love word’s meaning,
Ma love encyclopedia,
To calm my psycho-phobia.
I love you little pink book,
You have been the source of my comfort,
When ma heart was in trouble,
I can’t forget about you,
Little wise pink book.

You are everything,
You are the promise we make,
A phone-family we set-up,
Oh! Little pink book,
You are the CPA of our love.
I love you little pink book.

My eyes shall not let down,
Neither will my heart fail you,
For your words pass through my eyes down to ma heart surpassing my brain,
I love you, little pink book.
My life is yours, little pink book.

The Mirror,

the mirror,
the mirror behind me,
the picture that can never change,
profanity is not my name,
behind me is the worldwide mirror of the eagle,
picture me in my eyes,
then what did you see,
humanity made me perceive like these,
many say they are true but liers,

This is the new understanding of the mirror,
Picture I and see what you see,
This is me with my picture,
Since humanity is never seeing the new understanding,
What is our purpose on earthly dwelling,
Forget the attacks,
They refused to protect me,
Picture history in the mirror,
Then I realised I can never change the spiritual world,
You must be understanding what you did to me.
