Anger is a symptom, a way of cloaking and expressing feelings too awful to experience directly -- hurt, bitterness, grief and, most of all, fear.

A warrior’s poem
A warrior’s poem
My anger bleeds my innocence away
Until all I am left with is the silence like after a question
In my mind I carry the suggestion
That I might be better off laughing my anger away
But I feel better being angry and seeing
My anger like the blood red flag it seems to be
Seemingly I wave it around trying to attract the bull and take it by the horns
Like my life since I was born!
Anger is a symptom of my frustration and sadness
A symptom of my friendless madness
A cross I bear
A sword I use to strike and to parry
Those who would leave me at deaths door
Yes and that goes for friends and loved ones
Who know how to hurt me the most
And raise a toast to my despair
Push my buttons and then stare back at me
Waiting for an answer
One day my anger is all I will have left
Anger at constant disappointment at still having life and air to breathe
But still having nothing in which to believe in but
The anger to prove everyone wrong
An obstinate man who says I will and I can
Prove the buggars wrong
and stay strong
no matter what they say
my warrior spirit will carry me on
and my anger will burn in me
until I fear no pain
then I will be a light shining bright and I will fear no one!

A Poem Of Frustration, Rage, Bitterness, Resentment, Disappointment, Envy, Sadness, Sickness, Depression, Fear
A POEM OF FRUSTRATION, RAGE, BITTERNESS, RESENTMENT, DISAPPOINTMENT, ENVY, SADNESS, SICKNESS, DEPRESSION, FEAR
A poem of frustration, rage, bitterness, resentment, disappointment, envy, sadness, sickness, despair, depression, fear-
All feelings of down and darkness and shame and lust and emptiness
A poem of ugliness inside and anger which has no goodness in it
A poem to blame myself and the world
A poem of guilt and loneliness and nothingness and sadness again and again
A poem no one ever needs to feel
A bad poem on bad things
Ugly ugly ugly
As if even the earth were made in the image of darkness and death
Such a sad bad poem and such inner anger and sickness and sadness
What can it all mean?
When I am a person of such good intention
Who wants the best for us all?
What can it all mean
When God wants us to be better and better and good?
I don’t know.
I am just a little complaining discontent not yet at the end of my road perhaps.
God help me out of this again, please.

The Mist of Despair
A mist of despair occurs
in the undergrowth of my mind -
an undergrowth of fear and anger
and hurt.
Oh where has this peace gone?
Instead the overwhelming sense of
hurt and anger and fear appear...
a world hungry for anger...
the mist of despair is a shield
for a broken mind.

The Damage
So much pain I feel right now
Anger also I feel but more of pain
Want to cry, tears I want to drop
Plenty of tears I want to let plunge
How can I express the terrible ache I am going through?
It is just an awful feeling to be alive sometimes
Do not want to say anything more
I am in so much hurt, it is terrible to go through it
Cannot tell anything more because I am really so blank
Feelings have lost their control, sometimes I feel as if I am losing it
Although, then I get proven to be wrong
Often, the things which I sense just do occur
Hurt is plenty and I cannot tell you, how dreadful I feel
The damage is really bad and I want to just cry.

Anger fills my heart and soul
Anger fills my heart and soul
Anger takes a mighty toll
Anger lessens but can never leave
Anger you hope to never receive,
Anger stays forever within
Anger acts with the might of all sin
Anger is deadly to all around
Anger gets mad at the thought of sound
Anger is the thoughts in my head
Anger that’s mine all should dread
Anger for me is different from you
Anger you see tells me what to do
Anger will sit and whisper in my ear
Anger he sits and tells me all that you fear,
Anger…
He is here
He’s here to stay
Anger is the hole
In which we lay
Anger is
And Anger will
Always be with us
He is in me, and he is in you
He can make you do
What he wants you to
Anger will make you
Make you cry
Anger can make you
Want to die
Anger can make you
Go insane
Anger….. ... A blood filled rain
No more anger
No more…..
Walk to the bright light
Shinning through that door…
Not knowing what’s in store
But even then
Anger lives on
But you… nevermore

An Array And Plethora
An array and plethora,
Of love...
Is too diverse for me.
I like it,
Directly!
An array and plethora,
Of love...
Is too diverse for me.
I need it,
More directly!
I want to know that which is given,
Has no loopholes I could miss.
I want to know my feelings felt,
Aren't pushed aside to dust on shelves.
An array and plethora,
Of love...
Is too diverse for me.
I like it,
Directly!
When I'm wrapped in a hug,
And my lips are kissed...
I like it,
Directly!
When I see eyes on me melt with mist.
I like this...
Directly!
I like to know that which is given,
Has no loopholes I could miss.
Oh,
I like it more directly.
I like to know that which is given,
Has no loopholes I could miss.
And...
I like it more directly.

Shadows Of Doubt
The reality of not knowing
After the curtain falls,
Breeds a fear deep inside
That runs through us all.
Selfish curiosity,
Self-made reasoning.
Is it for real, your paradise?
Or just a symptom of your mind?
Can you conceive? Can you believe?
Beyond your own shadows of doubt.
When you look into yourself
What do you see?
And do you think that what you are
Will always be?
Inner sanctuary.
Dream immortality.
Is it for real, your paradise?
Or just a symptom of your mind?
Can you conceive? Can you believe?
Beyond your own shadows of doubt.
Do you go your own way?
Or do you answer the call?
Do you cower and fear for your soul?
Or just laugh at it all.
Popular philosophy
Or plain insecurity.
Is it for real, your paradise?
Or just a symptom of your mind?
Can you conceive? Can you believe?
Beyond your own shadows of doubt

Anger's Damage
Anger wastes the day as bitterness throws it away.
These evils join forces to betray and decay.
A sunrise dies each time anger and rancor prevail.
Negativism sinks happiness before it can set sail.
Saddest of all is that minutia and inconsequence
Triumph each day left battered and tense.
“I’m sorry.” “I love you.” “Let me listen.”
Destroy anger and bitterness, making the day glisten.
Kindness is the way to keep relationships fresh and new
During a life where the days are so very, very few.

Anger My Friend/Enemy
Anger is a form of fear
Anger is what I’m waiting to hear
Anger is deep down inside me
Anger drives me crazy
Anger is what turns me on
Anger is what turns me off
Anger is my enemy
Anger is my pal
Anger is gonna kill me
Anger is gonna save me
Anger might just help me
Find my true love.............

Why Do We
Why do we always hurt
the ones we shouldn’t hurt at all?
Why do we when we hurl our anger
does it always land on them?
One day we may realise
when all our anger subsides,
that we not only hurt the ones we love,
but we also hurt ourselves inside.

Expressing Their Discontent
Those who befriend others,
By expressing their discontent...
Of what takes place in a shared environment,
Need to be distanced...
From that kind of negativity mentioned.
Being caught up in another's bitterness,
To add to one's priority list...
Does not do anything to rid one from it.
And when others are participating...
More minds get stuck in accepting of this.
Those who befriend others,
By expressing their discontent...
Of what takes place in a shared environment,
Need to be distanced...
From that kind of negativity mentioned.
And there is nothing like an experience,
That teaches one what to accept...
And what from one should be resisted.

Life Is Too Meaningful
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Each moment of it given...
Is as fresh as those last moments passed.
It's not always a funfest.
Some seriousness is needed.
And misdeeds confessed put to rest!
Harboring anger and bitterness...
Makes little sense to defend.
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Each moment of it given...
Is as fresh as those last moments passed.
There are those who sit in a stubbornness.
Unwilling and unbending.
And putting an end to their own progress.
Hoping to find someone to understand their whins.
But no one takes that time to comprehend.
People have their own issues...
And many with no one who they can depend.
And with or without anyone involved...
It comes as we know it!
And leaves us when it does,
To another place...
No one can now say,
They have been shown!
Life is too meaningful.
Too precious an experience,
To waste or quicken it.
Or to live it in conflicts unsolved,
To sit in misery to share or flaunt to flourish.
For purposes to discourage,
With the smothering of any good intention!

Prayer Against Anger
• Spirit of anger, hear the Word of the Lord my God come out of me.
I raise the standard of the blood of Jesus against you, in the name of
Jesus.
• Lord God, I surrender my emotions unto Your control. Put anger far
away from me, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to be long-suffering and
slow to anger. Give me the forgiving spirit to be able to tolerate
others, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, change my behavior to embrace tenderhearted
feelings, kindness, a gentle mind, and patience. Give me the power
to endure all that comes my way with a different temperament, in
the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to expect nothing from
people and depend on You as the Great Provider. Continue to direct
and revive me, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the eye to see people as You see them;
I pray I will not label anyone in a way You have not labeled them.
You will label me as the child of the Most High God, in the name of
Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, I come against everything that will cause me
to be angry, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, calm me down in any stressful situation that
I find myself in. Restore me at once for Your glory, and let it be well
with me, in the name of Jesus.
50 ENOCH O. AKANJI
• All those things that lower my tolerance level like anxiety, sadness,
fear, stress, irritation, disappointment, worry, embarrassment,
jealousy, hurt, guilt, pain will be things of the past. Give me the
grace be able to tolerate, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, I cannot do without You, and I have no
power of my own. Help me and continue to uphold me with Your
mighty hand, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, every irrational perception of the truth in my
life, I come against it, in the name of Jesus.
• Give me the grace, my God, not to fail You and myself; I overcome
anger, in the name of Jesus.
• Give me the grace to see anger as a weapon of destruction; I overcome
anger, in the name of Jesus.
• Give me the grace to see anger as a total failure; I overcome anger, in
the name of Jesus.
• Give me the grace to stop and control anger totally; I overcome
anger, in the name of Jesus.
• I pray, instead of being angry, I will act in love, in the name of
Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the grace to control my anger, calm
my nerves, cool my temper, and bury my wrath, in the name of
Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, give me the spirit of forgiveness as an antidote
for bitterness, wrath, and anger, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, keep me away from anger, the mother of
destruction and failure, in the name of Jesus.
• My Lord and my God, help me, and take away anger from my life,
in the name of Jesus.
• The end of anger has come in my life, and I am free forever in Jesus’s
name, I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Too Happy to Fit a Bitterness into My Schedule
Never once,
Did I suggest, hint or insinuate...
Your way of life and outlook,
Was a prefabrication.
You knew my beliefs were different.
And we did not let that become between us,
As friends.
But of late,
You have become more irate.
And you seem to be annoyed,
I am not expressing disappointment...
That you are struggling,
To keep your head above water.
When I faced obstacles on my chosen path.
You laughed.
Expressing no empathy at all.
In fact,
You and your 'friends'...
Would wine and dine,
And socialize without end.
If fact,
You had more time with them to spend.
You then would ignore my calls,
When I needed your company...
As a friend to another.
To say something to me,
In the support of keeping me from not feeling...
Completely lonely.
And this is what you said...
'You made that bed,
Now lay in it by yourself.'
Well...
You made that bed,
Now lay in it by yourself.
You should be comfortable with those words.
But then,
To them I would add...
~Where are those 'friends'?
The ones you chose over me? ~
Am I harborng a bit of bitterness?
No.
Just stating to you what I know to be true.
I'm too happy to fit a bitterness into my schedule.

What Do I Fear More?
What do I fear more
Death or Disability?
Gone forever,
Or sitting there with my tongue out
Unable to move?
What do I fear more
The ground or the loss of dignity?
What do I fear more the grief
Of my loved ones
At never having my presence again?
Or the terrible mixed feelings
When coming to see and having to care for
The person who simply is not what he was?
What do I fear more?
It doesn't matter what I fear
What I what we will be given
We will be given
May God have mercy
On us all.

So Angry, so Sad
Anger is a form of fear
Anger is a force that can never die
Anger building up
Anger is a virus
Anger is a like vicious circle it goes,
around and around
Anger,
The root of all evil
Anger is such a strong emotion
So angry,
So sad
Anger is bubbling away at me
I have good reason to be angry
No one understand,
No one cares
It tears out my heart
