What Do I Fear More?

What do I fear more
Death or Disability?
Gone forever,
Or sitting there with my tongue out
Unable to move?

What do I fear more
The ground or the loss of dignity?

What do I fear more the grief
Of my loved ones
At never having my presence again?
Or the terrible mixed feelings
When coming to see and having to care for
The person who simply is not what he was?

What do I fear more?

It doesn't matter what I fear

What I what we will be given
We will be given
May God have mercy
On us all.
