I believe the best service to the child is the service closest to the child, and children who are victims of neglect, abuse, or abandonment must not also be victims of bureaucracy. They deserve our devoted attention, not our divided attention.

C.S. Lewis

The perfect church service would be the one we were almost unaware of our attention would have been on God. But every novelty prevents this. It fixes our attention on the service itself and thinking about worship is a different thing than worshipping... 'Tis mad idolatry that makes the service greater than the god.

Those Who Commit Crimes Against Children

Those who commit crimes against children will surely be made to pay
If the Law does not catch them then Karma will one day
Self esteem they do erode and self confidence destroy
In the mind of their young victim the innocent girl or boy.

The abuse of children by an adult surely a crime of shame
Not many worse crimes than it that one could wish to name
Their innocence stolen from them in their most vulnerable years
For the victims of child abuse humanity sheds tears.

The abuse of a child on human innocence an attack
And innocence when stolen cannot be given back
Some of those who commit such crimes as children may have known abuse
But that for their behaviour not a good enough excuse.

Any crime against a child is a hard crime to forgive
And those guilty of child abuse with their sins have to live
And though on another human being one ought not to wish ill
If the Law does not punish them then Karma surely will.

To they who survive on less than one dollar a day

Hobos who're denied a decent shelter
And stripped of all vestiges of human dignity,
And poverty stricken villagers and desperate refugees
Who're denied decent medical care and access to justice,
And children who must forage for food in the dustbins
The just of the world have not forgotten you

And the soldiers who wage the wars of extermination
Against their own people,
And those who're forced to be the sex slaves
Of the moneyed and the toddlers who become child soldiers
And the misguided and greedy drug mules who are raped and
And tortured and hanged and left to rot in foreign jails
Our children
We have not forgotten you

And the world demands a true and more humane
World order that stands up to demand justice
For the victims of state sponsored violence
And justice for the victims of ritual murder and female
Genital mutilation and the victims of AIDS
And the entire universe demands
Justice for the victims of racist attacks and the victims of mob violence
And from the bosoms of their hearts the children of the world stand
Stand up as one and they demand justice for the victims of mindless
Violence and they cry out for justice for the victims of genocide
And they want to see the perpetrators of ethnic cleansing
Brought to justice to answer for their evil deeds

The Child

From pillar to post,
Some couples go,
In trying to have,
A child of their own!

They go on pilgrimages,
And they pray to God;
They donate money,
Expecting a child!

They see horoscopes;
They see the stars-position in the sky!
They do repentance,
To get a child!

They see the best doctors,
And undergo medical check-ups;
Some go abroad
For gift of child!

Some seek the help of science,
And try the latest advances;
But only a few
Manage to have a child!

Some give up every hope
And adopt a child;
Some remain childless
Until their death.

God gives children to so many,
And denies the same to some;
Some foolishly abort,
Invoking wrath of God!

Some beat the child;
Some enslave it;
Some starve it long;
Some neglect the child!

God’s sends nature’s furies –
Floods, quakes, famines, diseases,
Destroying people
Who kill children!

Child – the gift of God;
Child – a miracle;
Child – the joy of mankind;
Child – progeny of the human race!

Child – the love of God;
Child – mercy of God;
Child – grace of God;
Child – blessing of God!

A child makes the family wholesome;
A child ushers immense joy;
A child makes life worth living for;
A child is a divine toy!

God gives a child with ease;
Man drives it to disease;
God makes a life anew;
Man ends most lives but few!

Why kill children?
Why maim the tiny tots?
Why abuse children?
Why destroy lives, God-made?

Victims Of Circumstance

They stand bewildered by all that goes around them,
living within their own little worlds,
which we cannot even understand.
These victims of circumstance stand.

We all look on and bow our heads,
when they bury victims of war,
but turn away whenever we see
these poor lost souls.

Some are there because of defects at birth,
others the aftermath of disease,
while others involved in accidents,
and left to suffer humiliation.

The brain is a wonderful thing,
when it functions properly,
functioning wrong its host
is charged with insanity.

There are those who are violent,
and in institutions are the only life they will ever see.
Others have strange ways, and act in a childlike manner be.
While others need constant attention, because of hardly any brain activity.

All are victims of circumstance,
beyond anyone’s control.
They would live a normal life,
if they had a choice to be.

They are victims shunned by society,
who say they are a blight, on our lives,
and locked away out of sight,
every one of them should be.

No one wants to associate with them;
their only friends are of their own kind.
They look out with pleading eyes,
for someone who may be kind.

The names they are called are hurtful,
yet they do not understand.
These poor lost souls
only ask for a helping hand.

Those who have worked with the mentally ill,
will tell you, not all of them are stupid.
They can feel just like us, love, hurt and pain.
Some can do what we call menial tasks
and others look after themselves.

Sadly, some do need to be institutionalized
because they are dangers to themselves or others,
and some have to be there for the constant attention that they need.

Yet others because they look somewhat strange,
and do childish things at times.
They are all labelled under an umbrella,
and simply called insane.

But, for the grace of God,
we might have walked with them there,
these victims,
victims of circumstance.

How Archaic Can They Be?

Only children not given attention,
Are out of control.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
That's what I've always been told.

And the evidence of that,
Is not an assumption!
That's a fact.
A child undisciplined,
Will bring grief in the end.
And those doing their research through books,
Are the ones seen tearfully...
Expressing they've done what they thought it took,
To keep their children from becoming...
Liars, criminals and deceiving petty crooks.

How archaic can they be?
Wanting to whipped their children...
Into respectful human beings?

Only children not given attention,
Are out of control.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
That's what I've always been told.

And still to this very day,
As the industry of incarceration...
Blooms to a boom without a bust,
There are those who are scholars...
Professing they know a way,
How a restoration of values and standards,
Will eliminate division and the onslaught of decay.
AND return the public's trust.
IF...
We all follow 'their' instructions,
Outlined in their bestselling books!

Instilling within us a more educated way...
To properly train our children to become,
The liars, criminals and deceiving petty crooks...
A decadent society has obviously become.
And with a price to pay.
That's the way it looks!

How archaic can they be?
Wanting to whipped their children...
Into respectful human beings?

Only children not given attention,
Are out of control.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
That's what I've always been told.

Victims

Victims
Chorus:
The victims we know so well
They shine in our eyes
When they kiss and tell
Strange places we never see
But youre always there
Like a ghost in my dreams
And I keep on telling you
Please dont do the things you do
When you do those things
Pull my puppet strings
I have that strangest void for you
We love and we never tell
What places our hearts in the wishing well
Love lead us into the stream
And its sink or swim
Like its always been
And I keep on loving you
Its the only thing to do
When the angel sings
There are greater things
Can I give them all to you
Pull the strings of emotion
Take a ride into unknown pleasure
Feel like a child
On a dark night
Wishing there was some kind of heaven
I could be warm with your smiling
Hold out your hand for a while
The victims
We know them so well
(chorus)
Show my heart some devotion
Push aside those that whisper never
Feel like a child on a dark night
Wishing we could spend it together
I could be warm with your smiling
Hold out your hand for a while
The victims
We know them so well

A Prayer On Child Abuse

Dear God Above
Bless the children that need your love
Bless the lives that are about to end
Caused by a stranger, relative, or even a friend
Children sometimes become confused
That's no reason for them to be abused
Children shouldn't be considered a game,
Nor should your child feel shame
To play with their favorite toy
Like any other girl or boy
Child abuse is a serious crime
But it happens all of the time
If the child is too much trouble
Please send help there on the double
Please don't take the child away
Because someone got angry today
But if these precious children should have to die
Please take them to your home in the sky.

If We All Were Like Children

Once there came a child approaching a gentle brook,
Dipping his hands into the water, a small fish he took.
It wiggled, and squirmed, freedom it did seek,
It made the child laugh, and squeak.
Then playing opossum it lay still, and pretended was no more,
the child lay the fish upon the rocky shore.
The fish knowing it was almost free,
flipped up in the air with child like glee.
The child tried to grab it back up,
but the fish very quickly kept flipping up.
It hit the water, and off it did swim,
the child shrugged his shoulders, and gave up on him.
Attention being short, the child saw a bug,
ran off to catch it, and give it a hug.
If everyone were in their hearts like children we see,
then the Earth would be Heaven, and life would be free.

Dear children

Dear children

O dear children,
Imagination and dream of Jen
You are all so dear
Gems of an eyes and words to ears

"Divine gift "as we all say
For your birth we always pray
Go to churches and mosques for blessings
For divine descent in early morning

You are messengers and real hope
Without your presence life is on rope
The home becomes real one
Only when you cry with child's tone

No house can be called heaven
If that has not a single child even
If you want to hear His voice at home
Adopt one child if you don't have to welcome

They need care and proper attention
They are garden flowers and deserve our mention
They are our future hope and destiny
Of course a blessings bestowed by almighty

Especially girl child deserves to be cared more
As they are the one to be praised and adored
The universe expands at their cost and excel
We are here to take their care and speak well

Runaway Child

Runaway Child, don’t have to take it anymore

Runaway Child, just walk out of that door

Runaway Child, no more chances to take

Runaway Child, it’s your choice to make

Runaway Child, aren’t you sick and tired of the pain

Runaway Child, here there’s nothing to gain

Runaway Child, you get treated like dirt

Runaway Child, get away from the hurt

Runaway Child, here it’s no use

Runaway Child, get away from the abuse

Runaway Child, you don’t have 9 lives

Runaway Child, take that step or dive

Runaway Child, why are you still there

Runaway Child, how much pain can you bear

Runaway Child, you don’t have to say goodbye

Runaway Child, say goodbye, when they DIE!

Just Another Black Child In The Ghetto

Cerdic a 7 year old boy got killed last night
but no one seems to care he is just another black child in the ghetto.
Janet 6 she got raped by one of the men her mom had her call uncle
but once again nobody cares just another black child in the ghetto.
Ahmid, can barely read and write and he's 13
but you know who cares he's just another black child in the ghetto.
Cyndi about to be a mother and she just a child of 15 herself
but she'll blend in with the others just another black child in the ghetto.
It is time for us to pay attention to the Cedric's, Janet's, Ahmid's and Cyndi’s so the children know of the ghetto that they are more than just another black child in the ghetto.

G.a.m.e.s.

Getting attention made easier in steps.
These games preyed upon victims...
For test and adolescent appeal!

Getting
Attention
Made
Easier in...
Steps!

These 'games' grow tired,
For the one who has played them!
And undesired by the one...
Who does very well,
When playing with the best!
Games as a whole,
Should be put to an emotional rest!
