Painful as it may be, a significant emotional event can be the catalyst for choosing a direction that serves us - and those around us - more effectively. Look for the learning.

Onwards, Forward
we who are left
have no choice, we go onward
forward, we have nothing to lose,
except the traces of our
erroneous steps
we who are down are lucky too
for we have no other direction except to go up
we cannot stay here
for what choice have we?
those who are there already
i know, shall find nothing as significant as a mole
at their backs
and so what choice have they?
except to come back
and retrace the better past
the excitement of what once
were
those who are up there
have no other options but to fall
and the higher they got
the painful
the hit, and they get crushed
and we who are still moving
to that direction
must take time to reflect
perhaps there are other ways
not to harm finally
our stupid selves.

This election marks a significant moment in Haiti; it not only serves as the basis of hope along the road to democracy, but also serves as a testament to the resolve and character of the Haitian people during their long struggle for peace, reconciliation, and prosperity.

The older you get, the more you realize you're drifting toward a direction, and sometimes your significant other drifts into an opposite direction. You can't blame anybody for it.
Guidelines
Everyone here,
Received the same guidelines.
From the same 'source'.
With not a one amended.
None made decisions,
To retrieve them in a coma.
Conscious,
Everyone had been.
No one made a claim to have had amnesia.
And...
All proceeded,
In the direction of their beliefs.
Who knew,
Concretely.
What would be in store for them?
Some maintained their faith.
With prayers daily they would make.
Struggling through emotional heartache.
But never in doubt,
What their faith was about.
Others struggled,
Through their emotional heartaches.
To curse the air they breathe.
And choosing to rewrite the same guidelines.
Replacing what they did not like...
For something else to appease their appetites.
With a choice to fight with voices heard.
No matter what around them occurred.
With revealing evidence.
Those of truth...
And aware of evidence,
An awakened mind would witness.
Became enriched with peace, love and happiness.
Following the same guidelines,
The others refused to comprehend!
And adhere to as was given!

Learning
I'm learning to say thank you.
And I'm learning to say please.
And I'm learning to use Kleenex,
Not my sweater, when I sneeze.
And I'm learning not to dribble.
And I'm learning not to slurp.
And I'm learning (though it sometimes really hurts me)
Not to burp.
And I'm learning to chew softer
When I eat corn on the cob.
And I'm learning that it's much
Much easier to be a slob.

To Move And Choose This Choice
The decision to leave,
That which has entrapped...
Is heartfelt.
A wounding is done because of that.
A painful admission,
To escape from a comfortable position...
That remains the same unchanged,
And does not feed a mind seeking to expand.
Desiring to breathe fresh air not there...
Begins a choking on a hold enforced.
With a command the mind demands,
To move and choose this choice.
One has to abruptly exit.
Without a necessity one believes,
To address with messages.
Or...
Betray the 'self' to suffocate from inactive wishes.
No matter how severe the price to be paid.
And choosing this price to pay...
Is not inducive to a life one wants to live effectively.
Regardless how barren the path one begins to walk,
Alone.

Stop, Choosing to Demean
You've got your meaning,
And still you are choosing to demean...
My love?
Ya gotcha meaning,
But-cha choosing to demean.
Ya gotcha meaning,
But-cha choosing to demean.
Ya gotcha meaning,
But-cha choosing to demean.
Baby!
I gotcha meaning that demeans,
What I say.
And why it is I feel this way.
You're choosing to demean,
How I pray.
For us...
With faith and love,
Everyday!
Baby!
You're choosing to demean.
I see,
You're choosing to demean.
My compassion,
You're choosing to demean.
And..
My strong beliefs.
Yo, Baby!
You're choosing to demean.
I see,
You're choosing to demean.
My compassion,
You're choosing to demean.
And..
My love for you so deep.
But, you choose to be so mean.
And baby...
Stop, choosing to demean.
Baby!
Stop, choosing to demean.
Yo' baby!
Stop, choosing to demean.
Yo' baby!
Stop, choosing to demean.
Yo' baby,
You mated!

Shes Got The Answer
(graham russell, michael sherwood, larry antonio, jimmy haun)
Shes the kind of girl that you need to touch
Follow through fire
She can take it all, always gives so much
And laughs til she cries
If shes far away I can feel her still
Soothing my soul
When shes here with me and Im not myself
She takes control
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement
Shes got the power
In comes the sunlight when all the flowers unfold
I know
Shes got the answer--shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
I am here for you, you are near to me
A mother or a child
Generations passing through you
Awake in the wild
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement, shes got the power
In comes the sunlight, and when all the flowers unfold
I know
Shes got the answer--shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got direction, shes got devotion
Shes got the rhythm, such an emotional woman
Shes got the movement, shes got the power
In comes the sunlight, and when all the flowers unfold
Shes got the answer-- shes got the answer
Shes got the answer
Shes got the answer

Emotional Highway
Heard youre up to no good
Doin everything I never would
Shakes me up
Brings me down
Puts my world six feet underground
Well I need to know whats going on
Before I lose my mind
If I catch you with her I dont know what Ill do
When I get home what will I find
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys giving his heart to someone else
Well my minds playing tricks
To think of you and her just makes me sick
Every mile that I go
I keep praying I dont lose control
Well the road is long and conditions are bad
And all I think about is you
I dont have time to wait in line
Move over mister
Ive gotta get through
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys getting it on with someone else
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Baby baby I know that were two of a kind
Thats why Ive got suspicion on my mind
Whoa emotional highway
Driving all night and day through the pouring rain
Ive heard a rumor now
Ive got to find out for myself
If my babys me up for someone else
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Got to get back, get back to my baby
Emotional highway
Emotional highway
Emotional highway, emotional, emotional, emotional
Got to get back, get back to my baby

Respect the doer of mean works
Respect them who do works
That demand no respects
More than them who do works
That command reverence.
Not prepared for such works
That are held low or mean,
You must at least respect
Them who do men works to you.
As a doctor serves you
A barber too serves you.
As a teacher serves you
A sweeper too serves you.

Painful Solitude
Painful rejection
Your silence speaks volumes
Solitary dove flies alone,
Looking for a place to belong,
She is lost, heart full of pain
Will she ever be able to sing again?
Painful illness
My body agony
My mind endures
Painful isolation
Painful solitude
Painful loneliness
