Opportunity knocks, but doesn't always answer to its name.

Opportunity
Opportunity, it is said,
knocks but once.
Opportunity, sometimes
knocks a few times.
The gospel truth is,
Opportunity's frequency is erratic.
Opportunity is a windfall,
in true truth a one-off affair.
This explicitly explains why
To the wise the plausible option,
is to grab the first opportunity.
Striking when iron is hot
Sparing oneself the guilt
Of not grasping an opportunity,
When it itself, presents.
Opportunity to the fool,
knocks when requested.
It is there to be clasped,
when really required.
No doubt missed opportunity,
is the facet of a fool.
Be wise, act rationally
Be guided by the reasoning
The time- tested saying
‘opportunity, knocks but once'.

Opportunity knocks at the strangest times, It's not the time that matters But how you answer the door.

Why Throw Away An Opportunity
Each day presents,
Another opportunity to vent!
Doesn't it?
And why throw away an opportunity?
Have you noticed that those who lie,
About 'one' thing...
Can be relied upon to lie about 'everything'?
You can go to Vegas with that one. Bet 'and' win!
The odds will be highly in your favor.
Walk into 'any' casino blindfolded...
And amaze yourself with the results.
And how about the ones,
Invited to come to your home.
And treated with the utmost of hospitality.
Only to leave to complain about the decor.
Needless to say,
These folks don't get invitations anymore.
They shouldn't.
Each day presents,
Another opportunity to vent!
Doesn't it?
And why throw away an opportunity?

I never answer if someone knocks on my door and only the band and my manager have my phone number. In any case my phone doesn't ring so I never notice it. I occasionally just walk past and pick it up to see if anyone's there.

To Knock on a Door
Who
Who
Who knocks?
Who knocks at
Who knocks at my door?
Who knocks at my door - not chamber
Who knocks at my door - not chamber door, but door. Who knocks?
Who knocks at my door - not chamber door, but door. Who knocks? Is it a raven - a raven
Who knocks at my door - not chamber door, but door. Who knocks? Is it a raven - a raven named Nevermore that knocks, knocks at my non-chamber door?
Who knocks at my door - not chamber door, but door. Who knocks? Is it a raven - a raven named Nevermore that knocks, knocks at my non-chamber door? ... No, it's just my brother, Josh, that knocks, knocks at my non-chamber door:
It's time for dinner.

Opportunity never knocks twice at any man's door.

Opportunity knocks for every man, but you have to give a woman a ring.

Sometimes opportunity knocks, but most of the time it sneaks up and then quietly steals away.

Wanting to be in a Western film won't get me very far. Unless the opportunity arose, it doesn't matter how much I want to be in one. But if an opportunity did arise, no actor would pass it up.

Just Because
Just because you did
Doesn't mean that you should
Just because you can
Doesn't mean that you could
Just because you are able
Doesn't mean you would
Just because you sat
Doesn't mean you should‘ve stood.
Just because you spoke
Doesn't mean that you thought
Just because you looked
Doesn't mean that you sought
Just because you argued
Doesn't mean that you fought
Just because you dreamed
Doesn't mean that you wished not.
Just because you cried
Doesn't mean that you wept
Just because you had
Doesn't mean that you kept
Just because you cleaned
Doesn't mean that you swept
Just because you said yes
Doesn't mean that you accept.
Just because you gathered
Doesn't mean that you own
Just because you gave up
Doesn't mean that you were alone
Just because you saw
Doesn't mean that you were shown
Just because you expiate
Doesn't mean you should atone.
Just because your old
Doesn't mean that you have flaws
Just because you won
Doesn't mean you have to applause
Just because you waited
Doesn't mean that you paused
Just because you were you
Doesn't mean anything, because.

Coroner's daughter writes me a poem
'Opportunity seldom knocks twice
And it's written on an old building's door
But I am scared to open
As it's an abandon mortuary.'

Those Dance Moves
When I see you pull
those dance moves
it knocks me out
When the music
is screamin'
it knocks me out
You know I gotta smile
It makes me so happy
It makes me so happy
it knocks me out
I can't see anyone else
when those
dance moves
knocks me out

If you want to be an actor, you should just get out there and do it. I don't go for the approach of first getting photos and an agent. I think you should start with the work, and the other stuff will follow. As with opportunity knocks, you have to be ready.

When death knocks at your door, you must answer.
One Knock Two Knocks
One knock, Two knocks
Who's at the door?
Come out once more
One knock, Two knocks
Who's at the door?
Come out and see for sure
A world melts, as one developes
A world ends, as one begins
One Knock, Two knock
Who's at the door?
Open it once more
One Knock, Two knock
Who's at the door?
Come closer and it just might poor
Devastation has come to me.
I hear it like the knocking
The ground is rocking
Given the eyes of a blind man I once again can see
With wings I rise and soar.
Thoughts with clarity I explore
Got to get a better view, maybe from an enormous mountain up so high
Focus on the crystal ball, reading a fortune from the sky
Oh such, such pretty pretty ball
Just let it fall, down to a place full depravity, and derogation
With one Revelation after another they come
knocking knocking on my door
Will I answer, oh will I answer
Only if I must
And its forever open with one fell gust

The House From Hell
The house from hell is the home in which I do dwell.
And of this story I should most certainly tell.
Extension cords running from one end to the other.
And not just one, two, but three.
Such insanity of it too much on one breaker.
A fire waiting to happen.
I didn't wire the place.
The wiring is just so brittle, that when an outlet goes its about impossible to fix.
It all needs to be replaced.
Along with the plumbing and floors.
How bout some new doors and a set of stairs for the porch.
Free is not necessarily free.
Yes this was given to me.
But now I'm rethinking if I should of took it.
At least in the middle of winter.
I'll soon have the money.
But will it be soon enough.
I had no choice in waiting and debating.
Neither the place I was staying nor previous owners here would allow me that privilege.
But hopefully I still will prevail.
Another hit to the stomach just knocks a little more wind out of your sails.
It will take longer then I want.
But still I will go for it.
When an opportunity knocks you can not just deny it.

Golden Opportunity
(ian hunter)
The kids are ok
Theyre telling you now
But youre letting them down
Cause you just dont know how
And its a golden opportunity
Im spinning in space
Im laughing away
Your so pathetic
I can just hear them say
Its like a golden opportunity
You better hear it
See hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
Get near it
Its a golden opportunity
We reckon theyre rats
Now see how they run
My house is so common
And were dumb were so dumb
And its a golden opportunity
Scream all you suckers
Scream all you can
Im losing my bluff
Its a scam its a scam
And its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it hear it
Its like a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it hear it
Its like a golden opportunity
Alright!
You better hear it hear it
Hear it hear it
Its a golden opportunity
Hear it
Hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it
Its a golden opportunity
You better hear it
You better hear it
Its a golden opportunity
