If you were out of a job and your kid needed diapers and your husband just left you, you would be so confused.

Bottles And Diapers
Bottles and diapers soon I will have to have
When this baby will come
It will be a necessity for this baby
I will have to have plenty of bottles and diapers around
Because they run out fast specially the diapers
I don’t want to run out of the diapers when the baby is around
Bottles and diapers have to be around where I can reach
Bottles and diapers the baby will use it every day
Until he is a child
And when he gets to be a child
I won’t have to worry about bottles and diapers again

Confused
I am confused with love and fear.
I am confused with the taste of my tear.
I am confused of where I'll go.
I am confused of what I'll know.
I am confused of whos my family.
I am confused of what makes me happy.
I am confused by what I do.
I am confused of what's true.
I am confused by your touch.
I am confused oh so much.

A Husband...
A husband should be
Loyal and honest
A husband should be
Strong and protective
A husband should be
Loving and romantic
A husband should be
Patient and understanding
A husband should know
When enough is enough
A husband should know
When to fight and when to cry
A husband should know
all your goals and dreams
A husband should know
your strengths and well as your weaknesses
A husband needs to be a true man
A husband needs to love you unconditionally
A husband needs to know your heart is forever his

Plumbing (or) The Taming Of The Spew
He called to his wife, sounding, oh so, bereft
“Water just spewed right out of the sink
I just turned the faucet a bit to the left
It’s not my fault, I really don’t think”
The wife replied, “you go to work. I’ll call the plumber”
“Which one? ”, The wife’s husband did ask
“Don’t worry”, she said, “I have his number
The plumber best fit for the task”
The husband then left, as his job did come first
And she quickly got on the phone
She called up this man, the man of her thirst
The plumber with love undertone
He’d been there before, when her pipes needed fixing
When he laid right under the sink
With a large dose of grease, he gave them a slicking
This plumber sure was in the pink
When her husband came home, the spewing had ceased
He found all the plumber’s work done
She never let on just how well she’d been greased
Or how plumbing could be so much fun

I didn't know you had to change diapers so often. I couldn't believe it - we must change them 10 times a day - each. So that's 20 diapers a piece a day.

Just When I Need You The Most (feat. Alison Krauss)
(Randy VanWarmer)
You packed in the morning
I stared out the window
And I struggled for something to say
You left in the rain without closing the door
I didn't stand in your way
Now I miss you more
Than I missed you before
And now where I'll find comfort, God knows
'Cause you left me
Just when I needed you most
Yes, you left me
Just when I needed you most
Now most every morning
I stare out the window
I think about where you might be
I've written you letters that I'd like to send
If you would just send one to me
'Cause I need you more
Than I needed before
And now where I'll find comfort, God knows
'Cause you left me
Just when I needed you most
Yes, you left me
Just when I needed you most
You packed in the morning
I stared out the window
And I struggled for something to say
You left in the rain without closing the door
I didn't stand in your way
Now I love you more
Than I loved you before
And now where I'll find comfort, God knows
'Cause you left me
Just when I needed you most
You left me
Just when I needed you most
Oh, you left me
Just when I needed you most

Why For The Right Reasons
Why did you leave?
I ask why but receive no answer.
What was all the wrong reasons you left, because when you did you left a boy lonely and confused fending on only what he had, and what he has left; struggling to find himself.
So I ask again, but still no answer, for why would you leave when I needed you the most. Perhaps it was for selfish reasons, but choosing life or death we must consider which is easiest; because honestly many of us would have chosen the same. Death is easy, there is no more pain, no more hard-ache, no more troubles; Life is hard, filled with stress, head-aches on a day to day basis, its no wonder people sometimes are pushed... to the edge.
But this is not about other people, this is about you; for you taught me the dangers of the world but not all went threw. So I will ask you for a final time why did you leave? , you didn't just leave the world you left someone who needed you; ... who still does.
But because of what you taught me I hold no grudge against you, I love you, always have, always will. So now that you've been gone of course I've struggled, I've missed you, and because you left, I'm here fending for myself; lasting only so long before I'm forced to give in. But since you taught me of Him, I feel that I can last a lifetime; one of life, one with family with my sisters and brother, one due to the thanks of my wonderful mother; because what I now realize is that you never left for the wrong reasons, but because of all the right ones.

Read Me, You'll See
It's tough…
When other people get in the way
Of perfectly clear communication
And confuse the heck out of you
When you were doing so well
Saying what you needed to say
Even though
Sometimes
What you are trying to convey
Is limited
By the limits of the words at your disposal
It can feel stifling
Like, you wish you can say so much more
I guess
As long as you can somehow
Express
Something
It's better than nothing
But
Other people
They get in the way
So,
Then
I wonder
Do you still understand me
Can you recognize my message
When it's surrounded by so many others
I have to admit
Sometimes I'm left confused
I don't always understand
What you are tying to say
All those other voices
All those other titles
All those other ideas
They sure do get in the way
And
I have to say
I don't see myself as obtuse
Though
It took me a while
To recognize you
But,
I'm admitting I am a bit confused
It's just tough
When other people get in the way
And, dilute, confuse,
Add to without meaning to
What I'm trying to convey.

Cody And Wyat
Two little boys that wanted to be like each other,
did a lot of funny things; they were comical brothers.
Cody was the little one, he never wanted to nap, only have fun.
He followed me and Wyat everywhere,
brought Razel puppet with, he was well aware.
We could never get Cody to “power nap”,
That was O.K. Cody never snapped.
Wyat wanted to be like Cody’s with diapers and all,
Wyat would sneak in Cody’s crib, luckily the crib would never give.
He would climb right in when no one was around,
start sucking his thumb and pull blankets up some.
Now one day, mother did explain,
that Wyat was caught wearing Cody’s diapers,
to make sure he didn’t do it again.
Mother went to work and was on her way,
that’s when Wyat had a funny thing to say.
He said, “Look what the Bratz dolls did,
they put on my diapers, I’m like Cody, I’m not a kid.”
I looked at him, and he just grinned,
Then he said, “Write that down”.
I laughed it was the funniest comment I have found.

The Silent Ranks
I wear no uniforms, no blues or greens
But I am in the Army of the Ranks rarely seen
I have no rank upon my shoulders- salutes I do not give
But the military world is the place where I live
I'm not in the chain of command, orders I do not give or get
But my husband is the one who does, and this I can't forget
I'm not the one who fires the weapon, who puts my life on the line
But my job is just as tough, I'm the one that's left behind
My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man
And the call to serve his country not all can understand
Behind the lines I see the things needed to keep this country free
My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do the kids and me
I love the man I married, military is his life
So I pledge to support my hero
And stand among the ranks as the
Unknown Army Wife...

When I sent those scripts, that was the lowest point of my life. We'd just had our second son, and when I went to collect them from hospital, I went to the bank to try and get some money to buy some diapers, the screen showed I've got $26 left.
Poor Little Drea
Poor little Drea
Walking down the street
Confused about the world outside
And all the persons she will meet.
Does not know what to do or say
Such a confused little girl
Always did what her mother said
Maybe that's why her mind is in a twirl.
She was never told not to smoke
Or not even to never drink or curse
No one cared what she read or did
Or the persons she might use or hurt.
She sees the examples her mother left
Knowing someday they might be her own
So sadly she walks and talks to herself
How she wished that she was all alone.
Someday she wants to become a woman
And maybe she’ll be like her mom
Maybe that's why she is so very confused
As of her mothers way she is not that fond.
As she knows there is a GOD
And he does not want us to commit any sin
But sadly that has been in her daily life
Since day one when her life did begin.
One day she might want to get married
And have a husband not two or even three
And she might want to trust in man and GOD
And hope that freedom will set her free.
As she doesn't ever want to cheat or steal
Or doesn't ever want to use or lie
She has seen that so much in her own little life
I could understand why she will sit and cry.
So as those thoughts enter her brain
I wander what answers that she might seek
Does she wish that her mother wasn't hers
As sad little Drea is walking down the street

A Free State sojourn
I have taken a much needed break
From my husband and his constant nagging
And his boring political manifestos and uninspiring speeches
At last I am free of the bondages
Of my husband's Johannesburg and
The boring conversations of his cronies
I am free in the Free State
And yesterday I took in this
Tall charmer of a toy boy to remind
Myself of what I have been missing
After all that chafing under the tyranny
Of my husband and his godless nyabzen

Lecturer
He wrote on the board
“The husband said the wife
Is having an extra-marital affair”.
He asks the class, “Who is having the EMA? ”
Shout comes up loud, “the wife”.
He takes a piece of chalk, and puts two commas
One after husband, and one after wife.
It now reads, “The husband, said the wife, is
Having an extra-marital affair”.
He asks the class, “Who is having the EMA? ”
Confused murmur of husband, wife flutters.
“Not a word has changed, but the meaning has reversed
With just two commas.” Eats shoots and leaves, eh?
May I start the lecture on grammar, he said.
The class was all ears.

You Needed Me
I cried a tear, you wiped it dry
I was confused, you cleared my mind
I sold my soul, you bought it back for me
And held me up, and gave me dignity
Somehow you needed me.
You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out of my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me.
And I can't believe it's you
I can't believe it's true
I needed you, you were there
I'll never leave, why should I leave?
I'd be a fool, 'cause I've finally found someone
Who really cares.
You held my hand when it was cold
When I was lost you took me home
You gave me hope when I was at the end
And turned my lies back into truth again
You even called me friend.
You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out of my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me...

Taking It All Too Hard
No not this confused again
No not the same mistakes again.
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Why cant you see whats going on?
I know youd never admit
You would ever be to blame
Everythings a game to you
The old days are gone
And theyre better left alone
I cannot help you, its much too late
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistakes again.
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Theres always a reason why it happened
You never never did anything wrong, but it
It just seemed to fall apart
But youre taking it all too hard
Now that its dark, all of your fears,
Like shadows creeping around.
Youre much too scared to look down
And its lonely out on your own
The old days are gone
And theyre better left alone
But I still miss you
I keep it to myself
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistakes again
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistake again
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Oh no not this confused again
No no not the same mistakes again
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistakes again
Youre taking it all to heart
Youre taking it all too hard

Just When I Needed You
(e) just when I needed you, you left and went a- (a) way,
You made my life so (e) blue both night and (b7) day,
You (e) left me here behind, with a troubled worried (a) mind,
So broken hearted (e) too, just (b7) when I needed (e) you.
Chorus
I cried, I cried, I (a) prayed, lord, I (e) tried, to forget you,
And never call your (b7) name, what a (e) shame, what a shame,
Youre the (a) one who was to (e) blame,
Youre the (a) one who was un-(e) true, just (b7) when I needed (e) you.
You said, its best we part, and never love again,
And tho it broke my heart, I wont complain,
You know I love you still, and dear I always will,
Altho you proved untrue, just when I needed you.
Repeat chorus

My Husband.
Husband is someone;
You spend most of your life with.
And with him;
You are for years.
My life has become strong;
For my husband is not wrong.
My life has become independent;
For my husband never let me dependent.
My life has become pure;
For my husband had every cure.
My life has become romantic;
For my husband is very aromatic.
My life had a new beginning;
For my husband was nearing.
And the most valuable gift-
My husband has given me;
Are my 2 wonderful and the best kids-
And I thank God,
For the wonderful family he has given me.
