All defense secretaries in wartime have, needless to say, made misjudgments.

To His Defense
To his defense, I understand the problem that is at hand.
To his defense, I understand the turmoil behind all of this.
To his defense, you'll never live the life he has endured.
To his defense, judge, I object to the inaccuracies you are spewing forth.
Be prepared to kill two birds with one stone.
Anxiety rises about the room.
As the swine feeds on frozen hearts.
A sign of treason ascends in my thoughts.
My conscience was right, the traitor exposed.
To his defense, there must be a reason for all the things he has done.
To his defense, it could easily be a coincidence.
To his defense, look at him now.
He's happier than I'll ever become.
To his defense, theres no defense.
No toleration for betrayal.

Smalltime Shot Away
3d :
Tucked it in
Dropped a lie
Turn me off
(I travel I travel)
We never leave each other cause we leave each other so cold
It makes a madder way
The easy part is taking yourself in
Its wartime every time
A shot away
Wipe the smile from your face
Its getting in the way
Its wartime every time
She caught me on a lie and she turned me off
She made it cold
You couldnt do it if you wanted to
(believe me believe me)
Its wartime every time
Small talk every time
Its my favourite chloroform
Its pillow talk every time
Get it out the way
Friction war
Shot away
Ricochet
Were like identical twins
Sucking on the same teat
Spitting out the same things
(I travel far, I travel far)
Its wartime every time
Small talk every time
Its my favourite chloroform
Its pillow talk every time
Getting out the way
Friction war
Ricochet
Lineem up and knockem down
A shot away
A shot away
A shot away
A shot away

What it means is that some of Charles' press secretaries have been better than others as some of the Queen's press secretaries have been better than others.

My mental approach is totally different. My coach predicated everything on defense. He always talked about defense, defense, defense. I took it to heart that if you play defense, you can take the heart from an offensive player.

Defense and offence.
Defense is a kind of offence;
Offence is a smart defense.
Offence is to break defense.
Defense is to thwart offence.
As predator, one needs offence.
As a prey, one needs defense.
Otherwise defense is as bad as offence.

What postmodernism gives us instead is a multicultural defense for male violence - a defense for it wherever it is, which in effect is a pretty universal defense.

All This Information
All of us seem to walk away from everything
It takes a certain amount of originality to describe this place as home
And all of us seem to walk away from everything
It takes a certain amount of originality to describe yourself as interesting
And all of us seem to walk away from everything
It takes a certain amount of originality to describe yourself as home
All this information that we have to choose from
It means nothing to you
It means nothing to you
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's all so meaningless
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's all so meaningless
All of us seem to walk away from everything
It takes a certain amount of personality to describe yourself as interesting
And all of us seem to walk away from everything
It takes a certain amount of personality to describe yourself as truly truly honest
All this information that we have to choose from
It means nothing to you
It means nothing to you
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's all so meaningless
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's all so meaningless
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's all so meaningless
There's no suggestion that it's needless
When the competition is so needless
It's so needless when things change

Rush Limbaugh = Judgement Day
Every sinner has their future
As every saint has their past.
All of us have shamed our Lord
By ungodliness we allow to last.
Our world has its givers and believers
Sinners, falsehoods, wars, and those who take.
Blessings, happiness, hate, fear and lust
Love, forgiveness, faith and heartbreak.
As Christians we can't help but ponder
All our misjudgments in life we've made.
We contemplate the day we must stand before God
And account for our conduct on parade.

Things that are done, it is needless to speak about... things that are past, it is needless to blame.

Things that are done, it is needless to speak about...things that are past, it is needless to blame.
I don't have any assistants, I do it all myself, I don't have any secretaries.

It is a base thing to look to others for your defense instead of depending upon yourself. That defense alone is effectual, sure, and durable which depends upon yourself and your own valor.

Shortie 3 My Defense
my defense is simple enough
for you to hear
it is the whisper of forgiveness
the joyful dance of reunification
around the circle of our humanity
come, come
our defense must not be revenge
it's God's.

Extremely Rude
I have nothing against those mentally challenged.
I experience being challenged mentally on a daily basis,
Myself.
And accepting invitations to participate,
Is not on my top ten wish list.
Although,
It seems I am solicited regardless of my wishes.
And my only defense I use is to offend...
Someone who perceives,
My defense mechanisms beg for their ignorance.
With a showing of my disrespect they ask from me,
And I am made to feel obliged to deliver...
What they request from me and they get.
Since to ignore them,
Feeds the giving of their agitation.
'You are extremely rude.'
I find that to be a coincidence.
Since my rudeness would have never been shown,
If you had not insisted upon its appearance.

Clear-seeing
Bavaria, 1946
The clairvoyante, a major general’s wife,
The secretaries’ sibyl, read the letters
They brought her from their GI soldier-lovers,
Interpreting the script. I went along
One afternoon with writing of my own.
“This writing is by one you cannot trust,”
She frowned, and all the secretaries smiled.
But when she took my palm, she read the brown
Fingers for too much smoking and the lines
Of time and fate for a long and famous life.
“Soon you will take a trip by land and sea.”
Across the hall, her husband, half asleep
And propped high on his pillows, when I bent
To shake his hand, seeing my uniform,
Called in a whisper as if he still dreamed,
“I told him not to go to Russia!” Then,
Remembering the woman at my jeep,
Among the smoking tanks and half-tracks, crying,
“My husband fell in Russia!” I thought I saw
For him the summer uniforms in snow,
Partisans, savage reprisals, day-long strafing,
Long lines of prisoners never to return,
Comrades armless, legless, and blind. But he,
Clutching my sleeve to pull me closer, whispered,
“It was the SS did it, not my men.
The week before the armistice, they took
Three just-conscripted boys who were afraid
And hanged them, German children, the sky green
Above the uniforms too big for them,
As we saw when we found and cut them down.
It was then that I despaired to live or die.”
The secretaries waiting with their coats on,
She thanked me for my visit, and, “Next week
Bring cigarettes and coffee, please,” she said.
