Shortie 3 My Defense
my defense is simple enough
for you to hear
it is the whisper of forgiveness
the joyful dance of reunification
around the circle of our humanity
come, come
our defense must not be revenge
it's God's.

To His Defense
To his defense, I understand the problem that is at hand.
To his defense, I understand the turmoil behind all of this.
To his defense, you'll never live the life he has endured.
To his defense, judge, I object to the inaccuracies you are spewing forth.
Be prepared to kill two birds with one stone.
Anxiety rises about the room.
As the swine feeds on frozen hearts.
A sign of treason ascends in my thoughts.
My conscience was right, the traitor exposed.
To his defense, there must be a reason for all the things he has done.
To his defense, it could easily be a coincidence.
To his defense, look at him now.
He's happier than I'll ever become.
To his defense, theres no defense.
No toleration for betrayal.

My mental approach is totally different. My coach predicated everything on defense. He always talked about defense, defense, defense. I took it to heart that if you play defense, you can take the heart from an offensive player.

Defense and offence.
Defense is a kind of offence;
Offence is a smart defense.
Offence is to break defense.
Defense is to thwart offence.
As predator, one needs offence.
As a prey, one needs defense.
Otherwise defense is as bad as offence.

What postmodernism gives us instead is a multicultural defense for male violence - a defense for it wherever it is, which in effect is a pretty universal defense.

I Am Understood?
Sometimes its embarrassing to talk to you
To hold a conversation with the only one who sees right through
This version of myself
I try to hide behind
Ill bury my face because my disgrace will leave me terrified
And sometimes Im so thankful for your loyalty
Your love regardless of the mistakes I make will spoil me
My confidence is, in a sense, a gift youve given me
And Im satisfied to realize youre all Ill ever need
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And youre thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple but so beautiful
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know, I am understood
And sometimes I spend my time
Just trying to escape
I work so hard, so desperately, in an attempt to create space
Cause I want distance from the utmost important thing I know
I see your love, then turn my back, and beg for you to go
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And youre thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple but so beautiful
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know, I am understood
Youre the only one who understands
Completely
Youre the only one who knows me yet still loves completely
And sometimes the place Im at is at a loss for words
If I think of something worthy, I know that its already yours
And through the times Ive faded and youve outlined me again
Youve just patiently waited, to bring me back and then
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And youre thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple but so beautiful
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know, I am understood
The noise has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvaction
Your voice has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvation
The noise has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvaction
Your voice has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvation
The noise has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvaction
Your voice has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvation
Your voice has broken my defense
Let me embrace salvation
Let me embrace
Let me embrace salvation

That is why it is so important not only to have excellent treatment but also to try to get back the immune defense, because there you have a natural defense that takes place everywhere.

I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise what is there to defend?

It is a base thing to look to others for your defense instead of depending upon yourself. That defense alone is effectual, sure, and durable which depends upon yourself and your own valor.

Jack-in-a-box
I have to admit
Im afraid of you
jack-in-a-box
an impaired one
the undead with a hunting box
tick in time
that can break my guard
my lawn defense
beat my peas
my only defense

Child Juggling Kumquats, Smiling
Tao
can never dance.
All dance
is Tao.
Tao
can never forgive.
All things
create themselves.
Dance is not
wu-wei, action
without thought.
Dance is not shen yen,
realization that natural
rhythm is absolute freedom.
Dance escapes
definition.
Dance can only
be danced.
Forgiveness
is not a way
of moving
both in sorrow
and in peace.
Forgiveness
is not the child
of experience wedded
to understanding.
Forgiveness:
the union of open mind,
spontaneous movement,
and pure spirit.
Forgiveness:
the basic function
of dance.

Who Is the Center?
You are the center of your world and universe,
What you see in others, it is in you, you cannot reverse.
Each person plays out what goes on in your own mind,
If you don't like it, you have to change yourself, not them, & rewind.
There is no place for hatred, instead of doing the right thing,
Hatred hits back on yourself, if you don't change your going.
That same goes for anger, which means you are not right,
Just want to shut the other down with your oversight.
If you want to revenge anyone, it comes back to you,
How can you revenge if you were the one who attracted it anew.
Whatever your fear is, someone plays it out,
That's why what you cause, always turns about.
Always do to others what you would like to receive,
Respect, kindness, humbleness, forgiveness will not be destructive.
Then you'll find true happiness in this existence,
Nobody will bother you, there is no need for self-defense.
When you learned in your life lessons what you give out returns to you,
You'll be more careful what you think or do.
Your life shall turn into true happiness and health,
When you know you get from life what you need, not what you want,
That will be your completion and wealth.

I believe the war on terror is the vital discussion of this decade and of our generation, probably. To win the war on terror, you need a good offense and a good defense. On defense, I regret to say, basically, this administration has not come close to doing what is necessary.
