The financial markets generally are unpredictable. So that one has to have different scenarios... The idea that you can actually predict what's going to happen contradicts my way of looking at the market.

While expanding market access for American industry, financial markets and farmers is critical, I believe it needs to be done responsibly, accounting for the treatment and protection of workers and the environment.

Credit crunch!
I hear no sound of joy or laughter
As the markets crash like thunder
Take a look at the whole financial bunch
Many made money on just a keypunch
Banks which once stood brave
Are now begging to be saved
With Governments pumping billions into banks
Because many claim to have empty money tanks
People’s savings are wiped off the record
Sit home! Sit home! Calculate what you can afford
For fast is this growing curse flowing
As the financial chaos wind keeps blowing
On each lip only two words are spoken
Credit-Crunch!
Behold the whole Financial Market is broken!

You get recessions, you have stock market declines. If you don't understand that's going to happen, then you're not ready, you won't do well in the markets.

If you look at the history of the American capital market, there's probably no innovation more important than the idea of generally accepted accountancy principles.

The Lack of Inspiration is Inspiration Enough
One touch;
One thought;
One thought fragment..
It's enough to spark the flame
Soon becoming a conflagration
Tearing through my veins
And burning at my finger tips
Until I type the
One poem
That releases the sparks that day generated
But there is always going to be
One time
That series of uneventful events
Where you can predict the unpredictable,
The inspiration is uninspired,
And previous ideas aren't important
An idea is only relevant if it is being thought upon
And every waking morning is an idea,
A flicker of inspiration,
Waiting to be that
One thought fragment;
One thought;
One touch..

I'd like to talk about free markets. Information in the computer age is the last genuine free market left on earth except those free markets where indigenous people are still surviving. And that's basically becoming limited.

It should strengthen investors' confidence. This is done through transparency, high quality financial reports, and a standardized economic market. This is not just for China, but also for the world market as a whole.

This is the marketplace of political ideas. This is how America operates. It's a free market. It's free-wheeling. From the outside, it looks unpredictable. There's a circus-like free market.

Bears And Bulls
October is where bears all go to die,
and where the people who are long get harried;
November is where the bulls all find a high
in markets where the longs and shorts get married.
After voting at 7.00am I had to drive back to Beth Jacob to retrieve my copy of Daniel Sperber’s Minhagei Israel which I had been reading during davening in order to become more informed about the customs of Jewish weddings I heard someone on NPR predict that the market was bound to improve, because all the bad stuff happened in October, and “October is where bears all go to die”. My son Zachary, sometimes a bear, more often a bull, is getting married on November 16th.

Generally speaking, we get the joke. We know that the free market is nonsense. We know that the whole point is to game the system, to beat the market or at least find someone who will pay you a lot of money, 'cause they're convinced that there is a free lunch.

To Meet a Stranger
To meet a stranger is an adventure
It might generate untold energy
If antimatter shakes hands with matter
An instance of synergy
Do you know what can happen
The share markets will collapse
Everywhere from Calcutta to Japan
If markets wane and disappear
Like dinosaurs of yester years
Philosophers shall understand
What it is to meet a stranger

Unpredictable
Love is unpredictable,
one minute you are in it
and the next it is out of bounds.
You cannot predict it
from one day to the next.
Like flowers in the garden
if they are not tended properly
will shrivel up and die.
Love is just the same way.
If it doesn’t get the attention that it needs
those within it will simply melt away.

The provisions contained in this plan will ensure that the United States has the infrastructure necessary to meet energy needs through future decades, easing dependence on unpredictable foreign oil markets, and creating thousands of new jobs for American workers.
Who Knows
Each day the dawn rises
and the sun begins to shine,
but what if one day
there was no sun no more
and the skies remain black.
The world would become cold
and life would fade away.
The human race would then know
its judgement day.
Scientists predict that day
is a long way off
and we will never see it in our lifetime.
No one can predict what tomorrow will bring,
nor can we predict when the sun will ever die.
We all hope it will be never,
but really, who knows?
