Personally, I have nothing against work, particularly when performed, quietly and unobtrusively, by someone else. I just don't happen to think it's an appropriate subject for an ""ethic.""

The right to private property meant at the same time the right and duty to be personally concerned about your own well-being, to be personally concerned about your family's income, to be personally concerned about your future. This is hard work.

The Magnificence Of Someone's Ego
Making unsolicited announcements,
To honor in celebration...
The magnificence of someone's ego,
Is really an event to attend.
To witness the shallowness,
In all of its pretense by those absent...
Of common sense and its definition.
And...
IF one should be personally invited,
There is probably a high disregard...
For one's integrity.
Since integrity is not the subject,
That plays an integral part...
In the implementaion of these celebrations.
'Excuse me.
The taste of your 'deceptions' are delicious.
Would you happen to have another platter,
To go around?
Apparently I am not the only one,
Trying not to get hooked on them.
You 'must' share your recipe.'

New Co-Worker
Was on the offensive today
They introduced me to
Clinton,
In nasty street dusters
Undoubtedly someone
Who needs carrying
One cannot walk
Without legs
One cannot work
Without, work-ethic

0181 Ouch! You've been prioritised....
You quite like going to school,
‘cos your best friend’s there
and you hang out together;
then this morning, they’re with
their new best friend..
don’t take it personally,
you’ve been prioritised
You like your job,
you’re doing good work,
and the boss knows it,
gives you the special jobs;
then this week someone else
is in the boss’s good books
and due for promotion..
don’t take it personally,
you’ve been prioritised
You have the happiest,
most secure relationship
you could ever have hoped for;
then as you dance in your elegant outfit
cheek to cheek, your partner
looks over your shoulder, and
looks… and looks again…
don’t take it personally,
you’ve been prioritised
and you wonder
what angels find to talk about?

Preferring to Complain, Eat, Play Games and Sleep
Things will be said about the one once ignored.
The one once a joke,
And providing laughing fodder...
To those who fidget.
Saying there is 'nothing' to do!
And life to them bores.
With attempts made to improve their lives...
Very few of them even bother.
But this does not happen,
To those deemed and perceived...
Least likely to succeed.
The ones living quietly in communities,
And discreetly applying their seeds to achieve.
Perceiving to 'do' is 'to' follow through and receive.
Setting the example,
Is likened to biting into a pail of nails.
In some places...
Where folks are accustomed to applauding failure.
And setbacks are welcomed by those laying the traps!
It seems to happen to those,
In acceptance of themselves.
Believing they can do anything!
And accomplish like no one else.
No matter what the circumstances.
People like this seem to have a determination.
Like flowers reappearing to dare to bloom brighter,
Every Spring!
As if to prove a point that is made.
Regardless of what the naysayers bring to the table.
These folks seem to qualify their own abilities!
Since to accomplish means to them...
What one does with one's mind.
Not a place to find where this can be done.
Or seek to fulfill a mediocrity,
Like everyone in an environment...
Where excuses are made.
And alibis the 'disease'.
And a thought process for many,
Seems to have stalled in potential.
Surrounded by an abundance of it.
To proclaim!
But the potential has yet to become essential.
It's just in conversation to exclaim.
With a doing of it yet given an opportunity to use.
And those seen in pursuit...
Are immediately sought to ridicule and abuse!
Yes this 'is' sick!
And done daily by vocal nitwits!
Things will be said about the one once ignored.
The one once a joke,
And providing laughing fodder...
To those who fidget.
Saying there is 'nothing' to do!
And life to them bores.
But this does not happen,
To those deemed and perceived...
Least likely to succeed.
The ones living quietly in communities,
And discreetly applying their seeds to achieve.
And ironically...
This activity one has sought to pursue,
Isn't that unique!
But a work ethic applied to tasks to complete...
Seems oddly a challenge many unaccepting.
As seen by those who roam on urban streets.
Many have come to fear to dislike and not endear...
The definition of work or the time spent to sacrifice.
Mention this...
And they will soon disappear!
But adopting quick to devisive devices...
No one fears this at all!
Preferring to complain...
Eat, play games and sleep.
With a shopping stop made,
Daily at a local mall.
Like an expected routine.
Kept as sacred,
As the connection of life has to breath.
No matter if the act of that...
Has least importance than one's credit.
'They seem to take a lot for granted here.
Don't they? '
~I have no idea.
Do they?
I have things to do to get done.~

My Work Ethic
I make what I do look easy.
So naturally,
Those who believe they know me...
Think there is no effort applied.
And insist I could get a real job,
If I tried.
And they have real jobs they despise.
And I can say,
My work ethic is real.
I am devoted to what I do.
And with me that is the appeal.
I may not have money they can respect.
Or finances to purchase what I wish for next.
But there is one thing I know no one with me can bet...
I wont be seen shopping at the mall seeking a happiness.
And I can say,
My work ethic is real.
I am devoted to what I do.
And with me that is the appeal.
So naturally,
Those who believe they know me...
Think there is no effort applied.
And insist I could get a real job,
If I tried.
And they have real jobs they despise.
And nothing that I do with this passion I have,
Can I describe or categorize!
And everyday what I do to do it until it gets done...
I feel grateful to be blessed,
With a happiness I can regard as fun!

Work To Be Done!
my dad
was all about work
'there's work to be done! '
but he didn't have enough fun
a slave to his work ethic
i think it made him mentally sick
jesus doesn't say,
'work, slave! '
he's kind, gentle, brave
bear fruit, he says
naturally
via abiding in him
and his encouraging words
and let his caring, creative father
kindly prune you - trim
then!
more vigor!
more vim!
thanks to you both
for making your home with me
like a contented, happy child
on your knee
may i always be

Legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide

A slow painful death is the worst thing that can happen to you,
No way to escape as you wait in the agonizing queue,
Oregon, Washington and Switzerland have Death Dignity laws,
Canadian politicians see this as too many flaws.
Our appointed Supreme Court decided it can't happen here,
Therefore our obedient subservient politicians have no fears,
The subject cannot even be discussed in Parliament now,
As if this holy subject was a forbidden sacred cow,
Religious diehards want the issue to die or just go away,
We have to wait to die, they say because then, that's judgement day,
When your sins are counted and you go to heaven or he

WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME?
I was watching my TV one night when they broke in with a special report
About some devastating earthquake in Peru
There were thirty thousand crushed to death, even more were buried alive
On the Richter scale it measured 8.2
And I said, "God, please answer me one question...
Why'd they have to interrupt The Simpsons just for this?"
What a drag, 'cause I was taping it and everything
And now I'll have to wait for the rerun to see the part of the show I missed
Why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
Why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
I was driving down the highway when all the traffic slowed to a crawl
There was a 12-car pile-up, everybody dead
And I saw brains and guts and vital organs splattered everywhere
As well as my friend Robert's disembodied head
And I thought - Poor Rob, I just had lunch with him
Hey, wait a minute, he still owes me money . what a jerk
Well, there's five bucks that I'm never gonna see again
Plus now, on top of everything else, it looks like I'm gonna be late to work
Oh, why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
Why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
Oh, the other day my boss said we were running low on toner
And he told me I should buy another case
Well, I told him I was busy, but he still just kept on asking
So I turned around and stabbed him in the face
Oh, and wouldn't you know it?
My knife got stuck
I guess that's probably bound to happen now and then
But I'm afraid I may have bent the tip a little
And I know the blade will never ever be quite as sharp again
Oh tell me, why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
Why does this always happen...
Why does this always happen to me?
Why does this always happen to me?
Why does this always happen to me?

Who Cares
They stand and look at things
with their eyes closed tight.
They claim to see just what others don’t,
branding someone a liar and deceiver.
Sadly, they are the ones
who deceive themselves all the time.
Who worries if someone uses a different name
whenever they sit down to write?
I personally don’t.
Who cares if they make up an age they want to be.
I personally don’t.
Who cares if they exaggerates
about what they may or may not have done.
I personally don’t care.
Everyone no matter who they are
wants to be someone different at sometime or other,
and there is nothing wrong in that.
Just so long at the end of it,
they are happy in their own way.
I have no quarrel
with what anyone does
and I don’t think
anyone else should do neither.
