The Visiting Aunts
This is a memory from my childhood, when I was about Nine years old.
The visiting Aunts have come through the door,
They haven't been here for six months or more,
Their presence is such an incredible bore,
Well I think so!
The visiting Aunts are so out of date,
I soon noticed that when they came through the gate,
Their dresses date back to nineteen-o-eight,
Well I think so!
The visiting Aunts have kisses that smother,
With whiskery chins as one will discover,
Each one is just as bad as the other,
Well I think so!
The visiting Aunts look all around our place,
Tutting and waving their hands, so the lace
Which encircles their wrists shakes a pace,
Why don't they go!
The visiting Aunts are staying to tea,
They're both very fat and will eat more than me,
There'll be nothing left, just you wait and see,
I told you so!
The visiting Aunts they gossip away,
About this and that and 'not in our day',
They never will listen to what others say,
I really feel low!
The visiting Aunts say it's a disgrace,
The way I'm allowed to get dirt on my face,
And go running around with an undone shoelace,
Well, I can't tie a bow!
The visiting Aunts have had 'forty winks',
Mother had said they will go soon, she thinks,
They're both motionless like a couple of sphinx,
Why don't they go!
The visiting Aunts are off down the lane,
Thank goodness they've gone now, they're really a pain, .
I hope that they never visit again,
Please, days go slow!

We tend to think of the mind of an organization residing in the CEO and the organization's top managers, perhaps with the help of outside consultants that they call in. But that is not really how an organization thinks.

The Dark Knight Comes Too Pass
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
From a mere boy
Being raised by the wolves
Living in the darkness for just too long
Something just went so wrong
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
Was it a death so desperately
Forever in misery
A loves tragedy
Is always so sad to see
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
The not so dead family
A murder held with in their arms
With no recourse
With no remorse
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
He's the alternate ending
As the light comes to pass
Shadows lurk
They shouldn't be disturbed
Let them rest in peace
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known
Festered hate fills his eyes
As he is victimized
By those desecrated his loves ones grave
Becoming of the nightly terrors
The dark knight has come
Fighting for his moment
Fighting for his glory
Fighting for his thrown
Fighting is all he has ever known

Finer Feelings
Written: stock waterman
The finer feelings, the finer feelings
1a:
You cant give to me
Anything
I couldnt get for myself
I have needs as much as any man
And I understand the feelings well
1b:
I can still have a true heart
With a free mind
A good life
With a good time
Chorus:
But what is love
Without the finer feelings
Its just sex
Without the sexual healing
Passion dies
Without some tender meanings
It aint love
Without the finer feelings
2:
I get passionate
Just like you
But I have a little self-control
You just show your selfish attitude
Your emotion leaves me cold
1b:
Chorus:
Bridge:
The finer, the finer
The finer feelings
3:
(I can still have a true heart) it aint love
(with a free mind) it aint love
(a good life)
(with a good time) feelings
Chorus:
(repeat & fade)

Umina Bowling Club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.
Behind the bar you’ll find our Suzy, Linda and Michelle
When you come in you’ll get a welcome and a smile as well
And if the mood should ever take you to the pokie room
There’s all the games that might just make your fortune very soon.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub
On Thursday nights the club is packed when bingo starts at four
And Friday concerts – there’s no extra charges at the door
Our raffles too, they need an extra special mention
Its your happiness that’s our intention.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.
Now, when leaving, should you think you’re over the limit
We’ve got a bus that takes you home – no paying for a ticket
So if you’re young or if you’re old or somewhere in between
Just come along, join up with us and find out what we mean.
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than bowling right up to the friendly bowling club
There’s nothing that’s finer when you are in Umina
Than dropping in for just a drink or some good grub.

A Tree Was Talking
He returned empty hands.
Death was casually running around
on charred bodies.
Was lank poetry of a ruthless god.
The house was on fire after
selling its children. The days were becoming
longer than life.
Casus belli, whom do you want to name
the culprit, when everybody was fighting
on a new front? We talk of truth in small
tablets, in small moments.
The hills were burning, one after the other.
Barefoot walking, all mind, mother earth
don’t go to sleep.

Street Fighting Man
Everywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
cause summers here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
Tell me what can a poor boy do
cept for sing for a rock n roll band
cause in this sleepy l.a. town
Theres just no place for a street fighting man
A street fighting man
A street fighting man

Do you think the time is right for a palace revolution
Where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well then what can a poor boy
cept for sing for a rock n roll band

Theres just no place for a street fighting man
A street fighting man

Well what else can a poor boy do?
Well what else can a poor boy do?
Well what else can a poor boy do?

Ill shout and scream, Ill kill the king, Ill rail at all his servants
Well what can a poor boy do
For sing for a rock n roll band
In this sleepy l.a. town
Theres just no place for
For a street fighting man
A street fighting man
For a street fighting man
A street fighting man
For a street fighting man

For a street fighting man
A street fighting man

Love In Silence
(know yourself)
This is our world, our future
These are our times
I believe we have to see
In silence theres no mystery
The world is so busy talking
What do they know
Theyre missing out on being alive
Words are turning into lies
Were looking for love to guide us
What do we know
The truth is never to be told
Its waiting there inside your soul
The innocent join
In fighting so easily
In a world of pain and war
Who knows what theyre fighting for
What theyre fighting for
Oh, what theyre fighting for
What theyre fighting for
Many rivers running out to sea
One heart with a cry for love
Many dreamers in a moonlit sky
One sigh and they are gone
Love is the only direction
That leads to truth
Knowing in your heart whats right
Youll walk upon the sea of light
Theres something
In love and silence
That you can find
Know yourself and all around
Listen to the only sound

Many a finer thing
Many a finer thing
~
Love is many a finer thing
than a poem could hope to achieve
but a poem is writ nether the less
to pay an ode of tribute to love
to pay it thanks and support
in the hope it lasts a lifetime
to express its beauty unrivalled
by any creation of the hand
what moves a heart in such a way
or plays the mind into such thought
love is many a finer thing
that odes and songs are sung
in the dedication of its name
love name it as it stands
to feel its touch of grace
love is many a finer thing
than a poem could hope to achieve
