Barack Obama

It is claimed he is inexperienced.
It is claimed he is too young.
It is claimed he is of mixed heritage.
And his mother is white...
And his father is a native African son!
It is claimed he is intelligent.
A good father.
A husband with a black mate.
It is claimed he is honest.
It is claimed he is degreed.
It is claimed people love him.
And he is a Harvard graduate?

I 'hope' like hell these are not allegations...
Because he is perfect to lead this swill,
Out of the cesspool of sewage
That has been seeping for decades!
What is his name?

'Oh-Bula, Oh Bumba, OBala, Oh...?
Baracka...Bolaka?
Barack Obama!
Yes.
That's it I think!
I don't know exactly.
But someone from those Star Wars movies!
Your Majesty...
I believe our prayers will be answered.
He 'reeks' with truth.
You have to see it for yourself.
It's incredible.
AND...
He has the gall to have published,
For all...
His flaws and blemishes! '

OH REALLY?
You're kidding!
Someone affliated
With those George Lucas
And Steven Spielberg productions?
Someone appearing before us,
Without hidden agendas...
OR seductions?

Yes, yes!
Send him in immediately.
He is the 'chosen' One!
He will lead this 'Federation'!

Play the theme upon his entrance.
I want him to feel he has found a home!
We've got to 'sell' our new mission,
To the people.
They have been hungry for this guy!
Send him right in!
I can not believe this!
Someone who dares to expose himself...
Without disguise?
Send that guy in here.
Immediately!

Had I a Heart for Falsehood Framed

Had I a heart for falsehood framed,
I ne'er could injure you;
For though your tongue no promise claimed,
Your charms would make me true:
To you no soul shall bear deceit,
No stranger offer wrong;
But friends in all the aged you'll meet,
And lovers in the young.

For when they learn that you have blest
Another with your heart,
They'll bid aspiring passion rest,
And act a brother's part;
Then, lady, dread not here deceit,
Nor fear to suffer wrong;
For friends in all the aged you'll meet,
And lovers in the young.

Claimed to Confirm

If a depthness of thought one has is rumored,
It is best for the one that is claimed to have it...
To keep it rumored.
Not claimed to confirm.
To claim it is to acknowledge that process of thought,
One has...
Is noticeable and may offend those who depend on rumor,
To obtain their wisdom and knowledge.

Close To Greatness

at one stage in my life
I met a man who claimed to have
visited Pound at St. Elizabeths.

then I met a woman who not only
claimed to have visited
E.P.
but also to have made love
to him—she even showed
me
certain sections in the
Cantos
where Ezra was supposed to have
mentioned
her.

so there was this man and
this woman
and the woman told me
that Pound had never
mentioned a visit from this
man
and the man claimed that the
lady had had nothing to do
with the
master
that she was a
charlatan

and since I wasn't a
Poundian scholar
I didn't know who to
believe
but one thing I do
know: when a man is
living
many claim relationships
that are hardly
so
and after he dies, well,
then it's everybody's
party.

my guess is that Pound
knew neither the lady or the
gentleman

or if he knew
one
or if he knew
both

it was a shameful waste of
madhouse
time.

He Is Asking What To Do When The Love Is Gone?

over a bottle of beer on top of his loquacious spirit
he is asking me: what to do when love is gone?

i throw back the question to him: what did you do when love was there?
and he says, he was in high spirits, he did all the thing he thought he cannot do
he grew flowers in the garden he painted the house anew
with white and blue and red and yellow
he laughed so well and claimed he was so happy
he loved so well and claimed he was in bliss

and so now that love is gone, i must tell him
just do the usual things when love was once there
there is nothing to lose, except that love that you have taken for granted

Where Are The Others

I'm the only one you can think of to come,
When the end of a rope...
A dangling you do has been done.
And you are upset because I express no regret,
When a life you chose to live...
You did with the showing to me much disrespect.

When I suffered through my needs,
You weren't there to assist.
When I sat in loneliness and cried for years...
Not one time during that period did you appear.

And now you are here on my doorstep to say...
What you should have done,
Could have been done my way.
But the advice I gave,
You refused to accept another.

Where are the others,
You claimed to be your brothers.
Where are the others,
You followed to leave me behind...
In a grief you didn't seem to mind,
At that time.

Where are the others?
Those who you claimed,
To have been your close brothers.
Where are your...
Brothers?

Whyd You Lie To Me

Why did you lie to me?
Cant be trusted, good for nothing type of brother
Everything you claimed to be was a lie, lie
Why did you lie to me?
Youve been creepin, sneekin, sleepin with another
Messed up, its time to leave, so bye, bye
Used to treat me like a queen
Said I was your everything
Promised me that you would never cheat, on me
But I found a number on the floor
And I wont take it no more
Baby it feels so crazy thinkin youd be true to me, yeah
(tell me baby) did you really think?
(I would maybe) I turn the other cheak and
(and let you play me) I thought you were different but your like the rest its true
Why did you lie to me?
Cant be trusted, good for nothing type of brother
Everything you claimed to be was a lie, lie
Why did you lie to me?
Youve been creepin, sneekin, sleepin with another
Messed up, its time to leave, so bye, bye
Yeah
Ooh, last time you played me like a fool
Now its time I loose my cool
Aint no way youll ever get another chance
Why did you just claimed to be so true
When I gave my world to you
All you wanna do is hang on the edge of the line
(tell me baby) did you really think?
(I would maybe) I turn the other cheak and
(and let you play me) ooh, but I flipped it all for you
(why did you lie to me? ) uh
Cant be trusted, good for nothing type of brother
Everything you claimed to be (was a lie, lie) it was a lie, lie yeah
(why did you lie to me? ) ooooh oooh
Youve been creepin, (sneekin, sleepin with another) hey yeah ooh
(messed up, its time to leave), so bye, bye
(tell me baby) did you really think?
(I would maybe) I turn the other cheak and

Why did you lie to me?
Youve been creepin, sneekin, sleepin with another
Messed up, its time to leave, so bye, bye, yeah

On Hearing Of The Death Of Kevin Hickey

Sad news a news that travels far and wide
And I was told of how young Kevin Hickey died
On the Shannaknock road of his car he lost control
And the reaper claimed his body not his soul.

He was pre-deceased by his Mother Kathleen
And his better days in life he had not seen
And his father John is left to bear sorrow's cross
And grieve the tragedy of his heart-breaking loss.

And though the accident that claimed young Kevin's life happened a few years ago
The scars of grief to heal are always slow
And the pain at the loss of his son in such a tragic way
With John Hickey till his own end will stay.

At the spot where Kevin died John erected a grotto as a memorial to his son
And it would seem that is as much as anyone could have done
To honour some one that they loved so dear
Such stories of love are heartening to hear.

I have heard of how young Kevin Hickey died
And such sad news does travel far and wide
And his remains will rest in peace forever more
But his soul lives on the soul has wings to soar.

The Passion

If they only owned love, shown love, grown love, like this before
If they only knew love, true love, to love, like this before
If they only gave love, saved love, brave love, like this before
If they only called love, love love, called love, like this before
If theyd only showed love, they owed love, owed love, like this before
If they only showed love, they owed love, owed love, like this before
If they only knew love, true love, to love, like this before
If they only gave love, saved love, brave love, like this before
If they only showed love, they owed love, they owed love, like this before
La la la la la, la la la la, la la la la la, La la la la la...
Like this before
If they ever showed love, they owed love, they owed love, they owed love
If they ever showed love, they owed love, they owed love, like this before
Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah
La la la la la, la la la la, la la la la la, la la la la...
If they only claimed love, claimed love, claimed love
They maintened love
Instead they drained love, stained love
They didnt control love, my soul loves a whole love, like this before
Received the same love
If they didnt regret love, forget love, say they never met love
If they will love, dont kill love, just be still love (x4)

Awakening (Love Story 9)

Love like marriage
is tested by strife
it can break loose
or stands strong
either ways...
is never easy!

The essence
lies not in the fate
as claimed it to be
love like marriage
is an epic experience...
awakens our conscience!

There Is An Understanding To Be Claimed

There is an understanding to be claimed,
You say is now within your reach.
And you can comprehend how I've been feeling?
Making it okay for you now to speak to me.

I will pretend I didn't hear that.
Just because you are disappointed,
By the way your life has gone.
I don't share those sentiments.

Your perception of me,
And your thoughts that I do not acquire...
Material 'things' you can not touch or see,
Does not qualify you to understand my feelings.

However...
What from 'you' I do understand,
Is the feeling you possess of worthlessness.
Since your values have been re-evaluated.
I've never had those values to re-evaluate.
And you now believe you and I have something in common?
We don't.

There is an understanding to be claimed,
You say is now within your reach.
And you can comprehend how I've been feeling?
Don't fool yourself.
The standards I have set for myself,
Are extremely high.

And you?
You haven't sacrificed your beliefs,
To know those feelings others rejected...
With a disrespect.
There is much between you and I,
I could never accept.
Even if I tried.
I don't lie to myself.

Through Thin Windows

Through thin windows I see
young leaves rising to twilight storm,
blue mist shimmering

Only The One Feeling It Knows

Letting go of a pain felt,
Is not with a time given...
A destination claimed,
For anyone else to suggest...
How best another should deal with it.

Even a healing thought done successfully,
Can not erase the revisiting of memories.
And how a pain started,
To seem to stay and never completely leave.

Letting go of a pain felt,
Is not with a time given...
A destination claimed,
For anyone else to suggest...
How best another should deal with it.

Many don't walk around with what is inside,
To display on exposed sleeves.
An emotional bleeding is difficult to perceive,
If one appears to be contented with a happiness to see.

Letting go of a pain felt,
Is not with a time given...
Or when that time feeling it goes!
Only the one feeling it knows.

Just A Gimmick Used To Convince

If people were as territorially protective,
With a pride that motivated as is claimed...
It would be shown in their appearances.
With no mistaking of this visually.
It would be observed to be seen,
Like other games played.

And yet...
What is heard and unmistaken,
Is a desire to feed more greed.
A desire to be entertained socially.
And an increase in pay,
For everything done they do.
Even if that means picking up a broom,
To sweep both front and back...
With a keeping clean,
Those places where they live.

If people were as territorially protective,
With a pride that motivated as is claimed...
It would be shown in their appearances.
With no mistaking of this visually.
It would be observed to be seen.
But it isn't.
It's just a gimmick used to convince,
Minds already delusioned and deceived.

George W

When George W finally got there,
His mommy made him swear
To listen to one of daddy’s tips,
Namely, “Don’t ever say… read my lips”.

George W. never said he was real smart
So right from the very start
Among his advisors he wanted an ace
To cover for that lost look on his face.

Well, it didn’t work so George had to confess.
Even in his inaugural address.
He referred to euthanasia twice at least…
And pledged to visit them in the Far East.

With Latin America George promised to be fair
By learning to speak Latin before going there.
Before tackling the Mideast, he thought perhaps
He’d better take a look at his high school maps.

George W. said Gore put up quite a fight
And had to admit Al usually was right.
But George claimed victory by the courts’ rules;
He claimed more votes in those electric schools.

He’s now president; don’t count another chad.
No matter what happens, half the folks’ll be mad.

You Must Get Even Closer

Open your eyes.
Rise above your fears.
That faith 'claimed' you have...
It is time to put it into action.
Sever from your distractions.
God has been close...
Observing you and is near.

There is no deed done,
That God does not know.
The Almighty wishes to show this to you.
But from your own limitations...
You must let go!

You must not self inflict restrictions,
Placed upon your mind.
Now is the perfect time to bare your soul.
Ask God to release you,
From burdens you have welcomed into your life.
And gossiped by others...
This too they did find!

Choose not to walk down this path with others.

Open your eyes.
Rise above your fears.
That faith 'claimed' you have...
It is time to put it into action.
Sever from your distractions.
God has been close...
Observing you and is near.

But you must get even closer!
To know and hear His voice.

On The Horizon

On the horizon
dark birds in the sky
set against a greyness
of clouds holding rain

and she snuggled
up close to you
and said
I dreamt of you last night

and we were making love
and the big moon
was shining through
my bedroom window

and shadows sat
in the corners
like old men dying
and then my mother came in

and said
what are you doing
with that teddy bear?
And you laughed

and she nibbled your ear
and there was the smell
of pine and damp grass
in the air

and you wished
you had shared
her dream
that night before

making love in her bed
but she's dead now
cancer claimed
and swallowed by death

but the wish still lingers
in your aged head.
