Elected (live)
I'm your top prime cut of meat, I'm your choice
I wanna be elected
I'm a yankee doodle dandy in a gold Rolls Royce
I wanna be elected
The kids need a savior, they don't want a fake
I wanna be elected
We're all gonna rock to the rules that I make
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Respected
I wanna be selected
I never lied to you, I've always been cool
I wanna be elected
I have to get the votes, I told you about school
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Hallelujah
I wanna be selected, come on
Ooh yeah
We're gonna rock this place, take the country by storm
I wanna be elected
You and me together, young and strong
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Respected, selected, call collected
I wanna be elected, oh, oh, come on
This time

Rabbit
Rabbits, rabbits everywhere
Bigger than a rat
Smaller than a hare
Jump, hop in the grass
Eating carrots
Hoping fast
Rabbits, rabbits fluffy fur
Hunting season
They hustle and stir
Pointy ears, bushy tails
Wet nose
Hind legs down the trail
Rabbits, rabbits into holes
Time for bed
Bless their souls
Now all tucked in and put to sleep
No noise in the hole
Not even a peep

I'm Tired Of Ageing Politicians
I'm tired of ageing Politicians talking of war
Young soldiers risk their lives for them in Countries afar
And yet they seem to get re-elected when the voters have their say
They play their patriotic card and for them that does pay.
Their war card is their winning card they talk of us and they
And they send young people to fight for them in Countries far away
Not for any moral principle but for their own self interest
War helps them for to cling to power and seems to serve them best.
I'm tired of ageing Politicians who wage war in God's name
Who send others to kill and maim for them in their quest for immortal fame
The winners only write the war history and that's how 'twill always be
Yet the cost in the loss of Human life is huge for every war victory.
I'm tired of ageing Politicians who at the least excuse
Send their war planes off to distant Lands to set terror on the loose
For every death they may boast of another terrorist they create
They talk of peace through the gun barrel and they only give us hate.

A Yearly Prime Minister May 5th,2011
A different prime minister should be appointed each year,
He/she should be an already elected provincial premier,
This could avoid party politicians electing their own,
Where many people react with a loud but silent groan.
Senators and Supreme Court judges should also be elected,
In order to establish that Canadians are protected,
From biased weird decisions made by questionable appointees,
Whose words are law and they don’t ever have to appease.
Mandatory set date elections and compulsory voting too,
Could sidetrack a lot of expensive Ottawa hullabaloo,
A simple system of binding referendums should be formed,
So that all the people and politicians could stay reformed.

Why Canadians Don't Vote
The sad part of it all is; we’re here for a while and passing through,
Nothing changes and then we’re gone and we’re replaced by a new crew,
Our elected politicians seem reluctant to make a change,
They want to keep their positions and why should that be so strange?
So how do we compel our politicians to bring about change?
Such as binding referendums which they refuse to arrange,
Or death with dignity, which they won’t talk about or even touch,
They seem to think that these incoming strange ideas are too much.
Our appointed Supreme Court can change or make lots of new laws,
As they are dressed up in long red gowns just like Santa Clause,
Abortion clinics on almost every street in every town,
Secretly killing unborn babies in a holocaust of renown.

Our Reflective Mirror
Our elected representatives are our reflective mirror does that seem fair to say
And what we sow we do receive life's always been this way
Our deceitful and greedy politicians the mirror of our deceit and greed
Of corruption on election day 'tis we who plant the seed
They are our own reflection for want of a better name
And perhaps we should first look at ourselves when them we choose to blame
Of the poverty that surrounds us from where we live not far away
The gap between the haves and the have nots is getting wider by the day
So many do grow poorer for every millionaire
And some will tell you such is life though life on many doesn't seem fair
You hear the Government Ministers talk of the good economy
But that does little for the millions living in poverty
Our elected representatives are our reflective mirror though with that few may agree
And despite what you may think or say that's how it seems to me.

Hats Off to the Woman, Who…
Hats off to the woman, who bears children
With labor-pains, completing family;
Hats off to the woman, who rears the young,
Making her babies suckle at her breasts;
Hats off to the woman, who tends to both
Husband, children, others with care and love;
Hats off to the woman, who does all things
For others’ sake, selflessly all her life;
Hats off to the woman, who keeps the home,
And raises her children in forbearance;
Hats off to the woman, who labors hard
And burns the midnight-oil for family;
Hats off to the woman, who contributes
Fiscally by working in a work-place;
Hats off to the woman, who patiently
Toils, to keep the harmony of her home;
Hats of to the woman, who can also
Extend tender, loving care to old-aged;
Hats off to the woman, who has God first
In life, and sacrifices for the rest;
Hats off to the woman, who can smile
To all, despite her grief, anguish and strife in heart;
Hats off to the woman, who turns the home
A virtual Paradise on earth all life;
Hats off to the woman, who loves to slog,
And toils to raise her family with love;
Hats off to the woman, who’s an angel
To all, by being a good example.

A magician pulls rabbits out of hats. An experimental psychologist pulls habits out of rats.
Talk to Me
Talk to me..
Why can't you
Just
Talk to me..
Taking ten steps back
It's what I do
When I don't know
What else
I can do
Shutting down
It's just
Preservation
I feel like a kite
Being pulled by a string
You let go for a length
Then
Want to pull me back
But
I've never stopped you
From trying to
Talk to me
Really
Talk to me
The way I see it
Miscommunication
And
Misunderstandings
Are bound to happen
When people don't
Just
Sit
Face to Face
And
Talk
Confusion occurs
But,
I've never stopped you
From asking questions
And
Getting
The answers
You may wish to seek
All I'm saying
Is
If you're serious
Then you should find some time
To
Really
Sit and
Talk to me
Before I tug
Before I pull
Before
I really
Set myself free
For now
I'm here
Being tugged on
And pulled on
By the string
In your grasp
But
It's up to you
To talk to me.

Pulling Habits Out of Rats
I’m no genie or Houdini,
I’m The Famous Rob Kabob.
Hocus-pocus I must focus,
I must think to do my job.
First I get in this position,
While the rat sits very still.
I’m part Shrink and part Magician,
And it takes a secret skill.
People ask, 'Rob what’s your job? '
But they figure I am joking,
When I tell them I help rats
To stop drinking and stop smoking.
Some rats are such nail-biters,
Still others tend to overeat.
I wave my magic wand 3 times,
And PRESTO my work is complete.
I no longer miss my old job,
Pulling RABBITS out of HATS.
I’m The Famous Rob Kabob,
I pull HABITS out of RATS!

Stuff We Can't Have
Canadian binding referendums are completely forbidden,
Our pompous politicians don't want to be overridden,
Just like death-with-dignity; we're going nowhere soon,
Politicians are too busy in their private party commune.
We never have a plebiscite and can't have propositions,
Our politicians are busy on various appointed commissions,
No proportional representation or compulsory voting for all,
And secret-list appointees will make the death-with-dignity call.
Appointed senators fill the Senate but none were elected,
Can't point the finger because this system is protected,
And Trudeau wrote the Charter for EVERYONE everywhere,
His son Justin now wants to lead the Liberals and compare.

How Do We Get Their Attention July 19th
Canadians are not encouraged to notice appointees,
Secretly politically selected and have no need to please,
To the Senate, the governor general and the Supreme Court,
Their word is then law and they don't need political support.
An elected High Court would make proper Canadian decisions,
An elected Senate might even make some legal revisions,
But our elected party politicians want nothing to change,
They'll form another sub committee soon but not to rearrange.
Therefore we are helpless to bring about real political change,
Though political parties often hint that they will rearrange,
We don't have binding referendums or death with dignity,
Even the BC Supreme Court was turned down dismally.

If Flowers Turn
Flowers for a girl who was placed in the dark
Flowers from a world that had taken her heart
They looked so pretty, but the blood stained them
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
Pull the braids untie all of the pain from your hair
Don't let the buzzards try or they'll take what's been there
Signs appear, and the worst you fear
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
Don't look to the dark all of the pain that you want is here
Uncover your heart so the feeling can disappear
The worst winds are calling, they need you they want you
I'm in the dark and I can see a thing for miles
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
If flowers turn
Throw them away, throw them away
I know, I've seen the pain in your heart
Because I died for us

It is your choice.
.
I think it is ridiculous
What politicians promise us.
When they are on the campaign trail
and hope their party will prevail
They seem to think we are naïve
enough to readily believe
All of the promises they make
which once elected they will break.
We know that politicians lie
we also know the reason why
They are afraid that they will lose.
I we were really free to choose
A system which truly fair
to everybody everywhere.
The present system guarantees
a government which will not please.
The bulk of the electorate.
We have no choice but to demand.
This is no time to hesitate
We need to make them understand.
The time has come to make a stand.
Insist on change long overdue.
They’re not elected to command
But do the job they’re paid to do.
Perhaps this time our votes will show
we will no longer tolerate
The antiquated Status Quo
unsuited to a modern state.
It is your choice it’s up to you
to use your vote or to abstain
To take a chance on something new
Or settle for the same again.

Politicians
Politicians are spurious breeds.
They place themselves before our needs.
They say what it takes to get elected.
Then do what they want when selected.
They promise rapid change and better times.
Then succumb to ignominious crimes.
As aspirants they vow that we'll be protected.
Then protect themselves until detected.
They talk of our forefathers who were terrific.
But avoid today's ideas that are too specific.
They admit no mistakes except by the other side.
And spend our taxes slinging dirt far and wide.
In this needy world politicians must be leaders.
We can ill afford ignorants, selfish or cheaters.
We, the people, must now take the reigns
And accept no leaders with moneyed veins.
With wars and economic catastrophes galore
We must extricate ourselves from each
Power-loving whore.
Our world's future depends on a will to succeed…
How the politician helps his fellow man;
Not serve his selfish need.

Canadians Should Vote Or Else Mar 2nd,2011
Canadians who don’t vote should get a fifty-dollar fine,
If their social insurance numbers do not show on a ballot line,
And this will show on their next year’s income tax return
Where the fifty-dollar addition might indeed show some concern.
Canadians should have binding referendums to control politicians,
Who seem to have their own hidden agendas and secret conditions,
Death with dignity should be a referendum question,
So those waiting around to die can at least get some suggestions.
Recall of useless politicians should be up for debate,
And passed into law to stop politicians who only skate,
Supreme Court, Parole Boards and Senate should be elected,
So that the present cozy relationship can be rejected.

Oh, The Hats At Ascot
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
What a wonderful show on view,
Ladies parading,
Horses invading
The Course, for a race or two.
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
With all their bows and frills,
The fantastic styles,
And the Ladies smiles,
Will always give one such thrills.
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
An event that is Oh so true,
Just to outshine,
And look divine,
Is what the Ladies do.
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
Are way out and so very fine,
And with the Queen,
One must be seen,
As one watches the select equine.
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
Seen up and down the Course,
A glass of champers,
And gourmet hampers,
And a win on your favourite horse.
Oh, the hats at Ascot,
Which the Ladies heads do grace,
The Gents black toppers,
And the Champion Show stoppers,
Are all at this fashionable place.
