Politicians
Politicians are spurious breeds.
They place themselves before our needs.
They say what it takes to get elected.
Then do what they want when selected.
They promise rapid change and better times.
Then succumb to ignominious crimes.
As aspirants they vow that we'll be protected.
Then protect themselves until detected.
They talk of our forefathers who were terrific.
But avoid today's ideas that are too specific.
They admit no mistakes except by the other side.
And spend our taxes slinging dirt far and wide.
In this needy world politicians must be leaders.
We can ill afford ignorants, selfish or cheaters.
We, the people, must now take the reigns
And accept no leaders with moneyed veins.
With wars and economic catastrophes galore
We must extricate ourselves from each
Power-loving whore.
Our world's future depends on a will to succeed…
How the politician helps his fellow man;
Not serve his selfish need.

Selfish
I am selfish
You are selfish
He is selfish
She is selfish
We all are selfish
To a lesser or a
Greater degree...
Let's not
Stay in denial.
Let's accept
Our selfishness
So that if people
Are selfish to us,
It hurts us less.

Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy
I wanted to sit and write today-but I did not know what to say.
Then a thought came to me. Why don’t I write about hypocrisy?
The hypocrisy of man leaves you to wonder.
Will this country make another blunder?
Will we continue in this Arab war where we are despised/
Will we choose to live a lie?
They say Americans shed their blood for you and me.
We all know its hypocrisy.
Men in uniform no longer fight the world wars.
People who want to hide what they are Moreover, what they say and do is because of me and you. Our service members and women still use our uniforms with pride
It is something that we can’t deny.
I could see it in my mind-the older politician telling the younger one.
“Let the road take its course” we are the trainers and they are the horse.
They will go where we lead them-that is why we are leaders.
The politicians of all nations should hide their heads in shame.
They search for all that they can gain.
They all try to line their pockets
They’ll pull your eyeballs from their sockets.
Then you cannot see all their hidden hypocrisies.
People will believe for a short period
While it weighs on their mind.
They have to tell the politicians that they will not follow
Like sheep to a slaughter so they could make a quarter.
We must tell them that we are tired as can be-living in hypocrisy.

A Yearly Prime Minister May 5th,2011
A different prime minister should be appointed each year,
He/she should be an already elected provincial premier,
This could avoid party politicians electing their own,
Where many people react with a loud but silent groan.
Senators and Supreme Court judges should also be elected,
In order to establish that Canadians are protected,
From biased weird decisions made by questionable appointees,
Whose words are law and they don’t ever have to appease.
Mandatory set date elections and compulsory voting too,
Could sidetrack a lot of expensive Ottawa hullabaloo,
A simple system of binding referendums should be formed,
So that all the people and politicians could stay reformed.

I'm Tired Of Ageing Politicians
I'm tired of ageing Politicians talking of war
Young soldiers risk their lives for them in Countries afar
And yet they seem to get re-elected when the voters have their say
They play their patriotic card and for them that does pay.
Their war card is their winning card they talk of us and they
And they send young people to fight for them in Countries far away
Not for any moral principle but for their own self interest
War helps them for to cling to power and seems to serve them best.
I'm tired of ageing Politicians who wage war in God's name
Who send others to kill and maim for them in their quest for immortal fame
The winners only write the war history and that's how 'twill always be
Yet the cost in the loss of Human life is huge for every war victory.
I'm tired of ageing Politicians who at the least excuse
Send their war planes off to distant Lands to set terror on the loose
For every death they may boast of another terrorist they create
They talk of peace through the gun barrel and they only give us hate.

Rotaract
The youth has power to do things well;
The youth has ideas quite swell;
The youth has energy to sell;
The youth has done so well, times tell.
Begin to think and do while young;
The world needs minds and hearts of gold;
Think of your unlucky neighbor;
Help him to live in a better way.
All good things needs to start from scratch;
All should not stay selfish on earth;
All must help shape the world around;
All must have selfless common ground!
All people aren't hale and hearty;
The world goes on by hierarchy;
Millions of brethren live in strife;
You must do charity in life!
The Rotaract affords this chance;
You can hard-work and sing and dance;
Don't look at downtrodden askance;
You must take up a better stance!
The world has umptine diseases;
Poverty afflicts myriad souls;
The problems people face are great;
Can you not make the world better?
The world at large in hunger lies;
Unsheltered masses sadly die;
Social evils afill the world;
Misery plagues people untold.
The youth must become good adults;
The environs must be better;
There's time for you and fellow-men;
Begin today and make the change!
Work for the common man's welfare;
Feel satisfied in life and act;
Think of the unfortunate ones;
Get God's reward for things you do!
‘Start a new Rotaract club and serve the needy souls! '

To Young To Die
Everybody
Don't want no war,
'Cos we're too young to die,
So many people,
All around the world,
Seen their brothers fry.
What's the motive?
In your madness.
You've made my people cry.
So politicians this time
Keep your distance.
'Cos we're too young to die.
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
What's the answer?
To our problems.
I think we've gone too high,
Little children,
Never said a word now,
But still they have to die.
It won't be long.
Dancing like we do now,
To put this sad world right.
So don't you worry,
Suffer no more,
'Cos we're too young to die.
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
You know we're too young to die,
All gone when they drop the bomb.
Can the politicians reassure?
'Cos here I am presuming that
Nobody wants a war
There's so many people praying
Just to find out if they're staying.
But lately stately governments
And disillusioned leaders,
So full of empty promises
But rarely do they feed us.
Put our backs against the wall,
Or don't we count at all?
Can you decide,
Are you mesmerised.
Do you know which side you're standing?
Cos when it falls gonna take us all.
Gotta know what we're demanding,
I never lie,
Can't your hear the cry,
Coming from on high,
WE'RE TOO YOUNG TO DIE

Now we are hipper we been thru the trip
And we cant be denied with woman and man side by side

The History Of Tomorrow
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of light
By dumping us in the dark with pits everywhere
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of food
By asking us to chop several fire-woods to heat up a pot full of stones
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of job creation
By making us slaves on our own soil
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of education
By dumping us in dilapidated buildings without teachers
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of accountability
By looting our treasury and asking us for yet another term in office
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our leaders fulfilled a promise of safety
By leaving pot holes large enough to swallow countless accident victims on our roads
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of how our bows and arrows
Would secure our future
I want to tell you the history of tomorrow
It’s the history of a country, a country with countless heroes
It’s the history of a country, a country with countless robbers
Robbers with fame
Robbers without shame
Robbers that we would roast with flame

Generation Of Tomorow
Where is the love, the one that helps us all live together in peace and harmony,
there are people dying, others are being killed, there is war everywhere,
we see our future generation getting hurt by all of this, what are we doing to help them know that the world doesn't have to revolve around voilence?
Because our world today isn't doing a thing to give them the brigther future we are hoping for.
We say we want them to have a brigther future?
But what are we doing to promote that future, are we helping them to be peacemakers in the future or voilent leaders that take what they want without thinking about the people they hurt in the proccess.
we ought to know that whatever we do in this day and time will reflect on our future genration weather good or bad.

Got To Know
(Jean-Paul Maunick)
We've got so little time on our hands to make all the changes
That we're needin'
Can't leave until tomorrow what we need to do today, oh no
We just can't leave it
War is not the answer to the problems that we're facin'
Gotta learn to live together
Prejudice and pride, ignorance for our defence is not the way
If we wanna have a future
Turn back the pages of our history
Learn from our mistakes
Got to know, got to know, got to know
People got to know it
Got to know, got to know, got to know
What we reap is what we sow
The writin's on the wall and it's clear for all to see the danger
Won't you heed it
We can use the power of expression choose our destination
What it is, What it is
Let's send a message loud and clear to the leaders of the world, there's no excuse
For this abuse
No more wars, no more wars, no more wars, don't want to fight no more
No more, no more, no more
Turn back the pages of our history
Learn from our mistakes
Got to know, got to know, got to know
People got to know it
Got to know, got to know, got to know
What we reap is what we sow
There is no shame and all to gain
Gotta give peace a chance
Woh oh oh, do right

None More Selfish Than I
Some humans are such selfish creatures and none more selfish than I
The World revolves around me and praise of self I do enjoy
Some call it self survival or call it what you may
And meanwhile people dying of hunger every day.
I've never known what it feels like to be hungry or known of hunger pain
Yet of my poor existence I often do complain
So many poor and oppressed people would envy one like me
It surely can be a relative thing when one talks of poverty.
I meet so many selfish people who for themselves only care
Of the sufferings of others they don't even seem to care
As well as self centred they are ignorant and without thinking they say
That poverty is self inflicted in the World of today.
I may be a selfish bugger but in that I'm not alone
And I am one not without sin so I can't cast the stone
I feel that the World revolves around me how selfish can one be
And only the best of people are blessed with the gift of empathy.

No Incentive To Vote Aug 12th,2012
And those in power can stay there for the rest of their lives,
Though it may be questionable whether democracy survives,
So a compulsory voting law or fifty dollar fine at income tax time,
Would solve the problem as the number of voters will climb.
Those who have been elected are not keen on mandatory votes,
It could change things and interfere with what the party promotes,
People might want binding referendums and recall and what next?
Best to do nothing or say it's constitutional and too complex.
Canadian politicians like all politicians dread recall,
Whether it's federal, provincial or even city hall,
So how do we get rid of a dreadful useless politician?
Could we get recall in the constitution in the next edition?

Why Canadians Don't Vote
The sad part of it all is; we’re here for a while and passing through,
Nothing changes and then we’re gone and we’re replaced by a new crew,
Our elected politicians seem reluctant to make a change,
They want to keep their positions and why should that be so strange?
So how do we compel our politicians to bring about change?
Such as binding referendums which they refuse to arrange,
Or death with dignity, which they won’t talk about or even touch,
They seem to think that these incoming strange ideas are too much.
Our appointed Supreme Court can change or make lots of new laws,
As they are dressed up in long red gowns just like Santa Clause,
Abortion clinics on almost every street in every town,
Secretly killing unborn babies in a holocaust of renown.

Political Recall Nov 9th,2012
Canadian politicians like all politicians dread recall,
Whether it's federal, provincial or even city hall,
But how do we get rid of a dreadful useless politician?
And he's absolutely useless other than his/her ambition.
So a system of recall should be inaugurated now,
Though our politicians will try to stop it somehow,
Why does British Columbia have recall and we don't?
And why do they have set-date elections and our system wont?
And if that province can succeed here; why can't we?
There must be a system and somewhere someone must have the key,
Why does nobody mention it; as we get frequently swamped?
As we tolerate more useless politicians and no one will prompt.

The Dangerous Pedantic, Etc.
Each day is much more pedantic,
As this fraudulent world becomes frantic
With the didactic and doctrinaire
So much so that they dictate what’s fair.
Informed citizenry must take reigns
From misguided, self righteous brains
Who fool no one but themselves
As their books die unread on shelves.
Have fear that these ignorants here
Are those who will only cheer
When each intention and selfish concern
Is satisfied even as sidewalks burn.
Vision and strategy must prevail
As priorities overwhelm mundane detail.
The world really has no other choice.
The future ill affords more erudite voice.

An Ideal State?
The brazen blare of trumpets sounds.
As we approach the temple grounds
the rattling kettle drums compete
with ominously marching feet.
The people gather here today
in the old time honoured way.
To hear our leaders justify
why they have failed to satisfy.
The peoples wants, the peoples needs.
Explain their actions and their deeds
The leaders have no other choice
but hearken to the peoples voice.
If they have failed without just cause.
The peoples justice will enforce
summary execution.
A permanent solution.
For politicians who have lied
by all their fellows they are tried.
Allowed to mount their own defence
they must depend on eloquence.
We listen to their argument
and we consider their intent.
Their motives are what we must judge
This is no time for them to fudge.
They ruled as triumvirate
and so they must anticipate.
If one is guilty then all three
Will suffer the same penalty.
If we adjudge them innocent
by a unanimous consent.
They can retire honourably
having served us honestly.
We the people make the rules
elect the leaders as our tools.
To do as we instruct them to
They do not rule the peopled do.
If we decide they are corrupt.
The peoples anger will erupt.
For them there can be no appeal
it was their choice to cheat and steal.
An object lesson plain to see
for those who aspire to be.
Part of the next triumvirate
Chosen to serve our city state.
Ours is a true democracy
where every citizen is free.
To stand for office or refrain.
Those who have served may serve again.
But every two years they must face
the peoples judgement of their case.
Honest men need have no fear
dishonest men just disappear.
Stripped of all their ill gotten wealth
which they aquired by craft and stealth.
They pay the final penalty
they’re put to death immediately.
The peoples will is sovereign
Offenders will not sin again
This is a dream I’m sad to say
and not true of our world today.
Today our world is ruled by greed.
Use any method to succeed.
rewarded for dishonesty.
The people pay the penalty.
