If the blame (if there is any) can be shifted from him to me, I shall help him and our cause by taking it. I desire, therefore, that all the responsibility that can be put upon me shall go there and shall remain there.

I look at modern life and I see people not taking responsibility for their lives. The temptation to blame, to find external causes to one's own issues is something that is particularly modern. I know that personally I find that sense of responsibility interesting.

Blame
who to blame?
we spend all of our time
pointing fingers, looking
for who to blame for
wars, poverty, injustices,
disease, overpopulation,
racism, enslavements,
hunger, homelessness.
who to blame?
men, women, white people,
Muslims, conservative Christians,
right-wingers, gay people, straight people,
the elite, illegal immigrants.
wake the hell up!
all of us bear equal
responsibility in this blame.
we are all a part of the cause.
we are all a part of the cure.
if we spent half as much time
working to fix our problems
as we do pointing fingers.
we'd fix them!
each of us has the right
to our own individuality
but each of us have the
responsibility of our collective
unity

Your Reign
Your reign of pain
Is flowing through
My brain
While your insanity
Prepares for its
Next game
The floods that
You have caused
Remain
Your responsibility
Continues arguing
With my blame
And honesty is
Just nowhere
To be found

Blame Game Denial
Choice was free will
unfortunately not all individuals
are responsible capable
of taking responsibility
for their own premeditated actions
or irrational errors of judgement
thus enters blame game denial

Responsibility is a unique concept … You may share it with others, but your portion is not diminished. You may delegate it, but it
is still with you … If responsibility is rightfully yours, no evasion, or ignorance or passing the blame can shift the burden to someone else. Unless you can point your finger at the man who is responsible when something goes wrong, then you have never had anyone really responsible.

Fair Thee Well Without Teachers?
ridicule the teachers
gifted teachers with passion heart
society blame teachers
blame teachers for problems
politicians poverty laziness created
blame teachers decades past
for all your problems today
ever heard of night school
upskilling retraining effort
take no guilt no responsibility
blame teachers for problems
fair thee well without teachers?

My Desire Remained A Desire
My desire
Remained a desire
Never got fulfilled
So I decided
To make another desire,
I prayed to god
To give me strength
Not to desire
After few days
I asked god
What happened to?
My desire
Of not desiring
God said to me
Since you desired
Not to ever desire
If I fulfill it
You shall not get
What you desired
If I do not fulfill
Your desire
You shall keep on
Complaining
About unfulfilment
Of desire
So my advice is
Desire less
Remain contented
Do not expect much
As expectation breeds
Frustration
And frustration breeds
Anger
In anger one looses cool
Becomes
Rash and purposeless

Sonnet: Why Blame?
Why blame the eagle for its swoop on mice?
Why blame the tiger for hunting its prey?
Why blame the drug-peddler for playing dice?
Why blame the donkey when it can but bray?
Why blame the wind that makes the branches sway?
Why blame the snake for its poison-fangs?
Why blame the sun for a hot summer’s day?
Why blame the police for the thieving gangs?
Why blame the night for being dark and cold?
Why blame the devils when they will tempt man?
Why blame our fate when we are getting old?
Why blame the Maker for how Man began?
Why blame the circumstances for our sins?
Why blame the tongue, whenever our words mince?

Value and desire
The shape of value changes
But will remain the value.
We get rid of what we got
One after the other in life.
The type of desire changes
But will remain the desire.
We leave the people craved
One after the other in life.

Sonnet: Such Blaming is Futile
Why blame poor Death when it does its duty?
Why blame the land for becoming desert?
Why blame Nature for unleashing fury?
Why blame dame Luck for being so inert?
Why blame the Sun for scorching summer’s heat?
Why blame the winter for its freezing cold?
Why blame the Wind for turning land less neat?
Why blame women for asking diamonds, gold?
Why blame the Sky for not bringing the Rain?
Why blame the Air for becoming so foul?
Why blame the nerves for sensation of pain?
Why blame the devils for your sinful soul?
Why blame the Stars for good or bad life brings?
Why blame your God for bad turn of some things?

Takin' It All Too Hard
No not this confused again
No not the same mistakes again.
You're taking it all to heart
You're taking it all too hard
Why can't you see what's going on?
I know you'd never admit
You would ever be to blame
Everything's a game to you
The old days are gone
And they're better left alone
I cannot help you, it's much too late
No not this confused again
No not the same mistakes again.
You're taking it all to heart
You're taking it all too hard
There's always a reason why it happened
You never never did anything wrong, but it
It just happened to fall apart
You're taking it all too hard
Now that it's dark, all of your fears,
Like shadows creeping around.
You're much too scared to look down
And it's lonely out on your own
The old days are gone
And they're better left alone
But I still miss you
I keep it to myself
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistakes again
You're taking it all to heart
You're taking it all too hard
Oh no not this confused again
Oh no not the same mistakes again
You're taking it all to heart
You're taking it all too hard
You're taking it all to heart
You're taking it all too hard

Who You Are And Who I Am
who you are
depends on your choices day by day
moment by moment
and so too
as to who i am
depends on what i take and what i spit out
from my mouth
it is this responsibility of choosing
i make and unmake myself
i love and unlove
i assemble and disassemble
the parts of me until
i find myself whole again
you too, and then we,
we take the responsibility of taking the risks
of a commitment
something that we can say
this is worth living
and this is worth dying for

Simple Words, And Quietness!
i used to write
with exploding images,
and intricate rhymes.
mapping the grand design
of passion unfolding.
but now i've reached a place
of quietness, and simple words,
raw honesty, and tiny flames...
and i'm at peace with myself.
i know that all war is wrong,
that hunger and homelessness
are a scourge, the result
of our own actions.
and i feel deeply the responsibility
to share in the suffering
of one and all.
i dont blame anything on God,
we havent even touched
what God is with our concepts.
dont blame anything on politicians,
we put them there
out of our own apathetic greed.
i dont blame lonliness on lovers,
you cant know love
without having been lonely.
age brings with it a deep sense
of mortality, and of the value
of each fleeting moment.
it's all too easy to spend
your life fighting and working
for things that have no lasting value...
i know, i've been there.
i learned to look in the mirror,
and really see myself.
learned to look at myself,
and see all others.
i've taken responsibility for
my thoughts and desires,
as well as my actions...
so i have no right to judge.
compassion, and giving...
celebrate the moment.
what i dont know
i dont have to know...
i have enough faith
to keep walking.
simple words, and quietness!

You Are Not Alone....
have spent all morning
talking about taking responsibility...
the problem is we come from the
generation that blames...
we blame every one and everything
else for the mess we've created.
we blame politicians, businessmen,
religions, people of different
colors, different sexual orientations...
our parents, our neighbors,
bigots, the world economy...
but bottom line, people.
we are responsible.
we are the price, and the cost.
we are the reason that there is
hunger, want, need, and poverty.
we are the cause of the fighting,
and the victims of our own choices.
nothing will ever change until we do!
until we face the man/woman
in the mirror, there can be no tomorrow.
until we learn to live,
not just to exist,
there can be no eternal life.
until we own and forgive,
there can be no forgiveness.
i make just as many mistakes,
and probably more,
than you do...
but i can see the bottom line.
and the truth is,
i know i am responsible!
nothing left to say...
you're probably tired of my ranting...
so if you're going to listen,
listen to the voice inside
of your hearts...
and follow your path...
you are not alone!

The Winner
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a winner
All the way,
If I take notice of what the words tell me,
Its not too long before Im caught out in the
Rain
Youre the only one who can take me back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up - with you
Im a winner
Here I am Im a winner
See my world turned it upside down,
Maybe know that Im nothing without you.
Got a brand new style of living with a
Motivation,
When I know my way losing my direction.
Thats when I get hurt with no one else to
Blame
Youre the only one who can heal me taking me
Back again.
Taking me back, making me one with you,
Taking me back, making me new.
Taking me back, even when Ive been done
With you,
Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,
To the love that wont give up here I am a
Winner
Here I am Im a winner.
If I listen to you then Im a winner,
If I take you at your word every day.
Theres nothing that can harm me Im a
Winner all the way,
Taking me back, making me one with you,

Taking me back, you keep pulling me through,

Suffer th Little Children
Suffer the little children that hide their pain
For these innocent victims, who's to blame?
Although many a tragedy happen at home
Society, itself, inflicts harsh pains of its own
Danger and violence are a part of everyday
And, the children know it shouldn't be that way
The remain fearful in living with all they endure
Safety and security, they never know for sure
Clinging to anything showing an open arm
They barely survive using sheer wit and charm
Restitutional change is imperative somehow
Our children need salvation, and they need it now
Accepting responsibility is where all must begin
To partake in the marking of suffering's end.
