If a speculator is correct half of the time, he is hitting a good average. Even being right 3 or 4 times out of 10 should yield a person a fortune if he has the sense to cut his losses quickly on the ventures where he is wrong.

I Don't Think So
I Don't Think So
We've been through this time together
AlI in my mind the love was so alive
Oh I never wanted for another
Then I saw the beginnings of a Iie
Good times and the bad times
Through the good times and the bad times with me
Good times and the bad times
Yeah I wonder why I never see
Good times and the bad times
Oh maybe there was always something wrong
Good times and the bad times
Did l wait too long
Chorus:
You said you'd love me for all of your life
I don't think so
Through the best of the best and the worst of the times
I don't think so
You said the world was a beautiful place
l don't think so
You swore the love was perfectly sale
I don't think so
People can only stay together
If in their hearts they know they can say what's on their minds
Would you say
Good times and the bad times
If it can't really be then I gotta move on
Good times and the bad times
Is it really time
Chorus: (repeat)
Said the check's in the mail and the maiI's on time
I don't think so
Said out of touch ain't out of mind
I don't think so
Couldn't live without me, and that's a fact
I don't think so
Love is real and it's not an act
I don't think so
Come on
Good times and the bad times
I don't think so
Good times and the bad times
Baby our love was a beautiful thing
I don't think so
Good times and the bad times
You said you'd love me for all of your life
I don't think so
Good times and the bad times
Through the best of the best and the worst of times
I don't think so
l don't think so baby oh baby oh baby come on
I don't think so
The love was right but the loving was wrong

Where Have All The Good Times Gone!
All my life Ive never stopped to worry 'bout a thing,
Open up and shout it out,an never try to sing,
Wondering if Ive done it wrong,
Will this depression last for long, wont you tell me,
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Once we had an easy ride and always felt the same,
Time was on our side and we had everything to gain,
This could be like yesterday,
Is thst me with your happydays,
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Ma and pa look back on all the things they used to do,
Never had no money and they always told the truth,
Daddy didnt need no little toys,
Mommy didnt need no little boys, wont you tell me,
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Ow!
Yesterday was such an easy game for you to play,
Ah but then lets face it,things are easier today,
Yes you need some bringing down,
Get your feet back on the ground,
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.
Where have all the good times gone.

Average Person
Look at the average person
Speak to the man in the street
Can you imagine the first one youd meet?
Well, Im talking to a former engine driver
Trying to find out what he used to do
Tells me that he always kept his engine
Spit and polished up as good as new
But he said his only great ambition
Was to work with lions in a zoo
Oh to work with lions in a zoo
Yes dear, you heard right
Told me his ambition was to work with lions every night
Look at the average person
Speak to the man on the beat
Can you imagine the first one youd meet?
Well, I met a woman working as a waitress
I asked exactly what it was she did
Said she worked the summer crowd at seasides
Winter time she ran away and hid
Once she had a hollywood audition
But the part was given to a kid
Yes,the part was given to a kid
Yes sir, you heard it right
Hollywood ambition made a starlet grown up overnight
Well I bumped into a man whod been a boxer
Asked him what had been his greatest night
He looked into the corners of his memory
Searching for a picture of the fight
But he said he always had a feeling
That he lacked a little extra height
(could have used a little extra height)
Yes mate, you heard right
He always had a feeling that he might have lacked a little height
Look at the average person
Speak to the man in the queue
Can you imagine the first one is you?
Look at the average person.

The Ballade Of The Average Reader
I try to touch the public taste,
For thus I earn my daily bread.
I try to write what folks will paste
In scrap books after I am dead.
By Public Craving I am led.
(I' sooth, a most despotic leader)
Yet, though I write for Tom and Ned,
I've never seen an average reader.
The Editor is good and chaste,
But says: (Above the public's head;
This is _too_ good; 'twill go to waste.
Write something commonplacer-
Ed.)
Write for the average reader, fed
By pre-digested near-food's feeder,
But though my high ideals have fled,
I've never _seen_ an average reader.
How many lines have been erased!
How many fancies have been shed!
How many failures might be traced
To this-this average-reader dread!
I've seen an average single bed;
I've seen an average garden-weeder;
I've seen an average cotton thread-
I've _never_ seen an average _reader_.
L'ENVOI
Most read of readers, if you've read
The works of any old succeeder,
You know that he, too, must have said:
'I've never seen an Average Reader.'

Good Times
Good times [3x]
Oh baby, Good times...
Good times- any time you need a payment
Good times- any time you feel free
Good times- any time you rock the mic
You're not getting hassled; not getting hustled
Keeping your head above water
Making a wave when you can
Taking every layoff
Good times
Easy way to rip off
Nipple buenos
Scratching + surviving
Good times
I hear you baby chime in
+ it's good times
Aint we lucky we got our good times?
This was a previously unreleased track that was put out on a Vagrant Records
compilation in '98.

As Bad As This
Written by john curulewski
Lead vocals by john curulewski
Did you ever in your life before
Feel as bad as this?
Did you ever in good time think
My life had gone amiss?
Now I feel Ive been unfair
cause I catch you hanging there.
Did you ever in your life before
Feel as bad as this?
God knows I tried a half a year
But it didnt do no good.
My damnedest try to make it work,
I knew it never would.
Now theres nothin wrong with you,
And theres nothing you could ever do.
God knows I tried a half a year
But it didnt do no good.
The times were good,
But over now,
A pleasant memory.
Im sorry, theres another face
One thats close to me.
You know bout what I learned
And theres no stone left unturned.
The times were good,
But over now,
A pleasant memory. (sigh)

Only Time Will Tell
[transcribed by chris w]
Only time will tell
By: jimmy buffett
1996
Scales and clocks just cant be trusted
Keys and locks are destined to be busted
Metaphors were never made for keeping score
And Im feeling for the sound of time
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Is it the answer or just a suggestion
Is love what we truly want or merely a protection
Is this music made to last or crumble like a shell
Is there heaven here on earth or is this really hell
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong
Only time will tell is there a message in this song
Will it ever make sense will it ever ring a bell
Only time will tell
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Are we destined to be ruled by a bunch of old white men
Who compare the world to football and are programmed to defend
Id like to try a princess or a non-terrestrial
Who is neither boast nor bashful is there really such a girl
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong
Only time will tell is there a message in this song
Will it ever make sense will it ever ring a bell
Only time will tell
I woke up this morning feeling absolutely grand
For nearly half a century Ive been singing in a band
Id like to think Ill make it to two thousand and one
Will the party be at my house God I wonder who will come
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong
Only time will tell is there a message in this song
Will it ever make sense will it ever ring a bell
Only time will tell
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong
Only time will tell is there a message in this song
Will it ever make sense on this crazy carousel
Only time will tell
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Only time will tell

A attempt to lie
It did not pinch me when I attempted to lie
It never occurred to mind and raised the question, why?
I had no symptoms of feeling shy
It was desperate but worth try
I was seized with lot of worries
I was unable to live with ease
There was enough of guilt to release
I did not correct myself and allowed the opportunity to miss
Was it going to remain as one time affair?
I did not consider it proper and fair
I knew one day I will be called liar
People may disregard and cut satire
I knew it from the beginning very well
The sky was not going to fall or let loose the hell
I was trying to escape momentary set back
Had I not gone for it, it might have developed some cracks?
I did it because it thought it right
I didn’t want unnecessary fight
I could sense the darkness in light
I knew it was deviation but only slight
“You tell he untruth” if it helps the cause
Not enough truth behind it because
It gives rise to unethical behavior
You can’t act as somebody’s savior
The lie may remain lie and wrong a wrong
You can’t clam credit for it and sing a song
It is not wisdom or show of any intelligence
It is draw back and some sort of negligence
It must bite your conscience and inner thought
At what cost some good result may be brought?
It may sever momentarily some happiness
Your soul may revolt and will not with cleanliness
It varies from person to person
There is no particular reason
You may weigh pro and cons
It is still business of none
You may resent it later on
The battle may be won
The result may also yield
You may feel desertion in field
Not all brave people can perform this feat
It requires some talent to beat
You must be in position to catch on the heat
Your eyes may not be in position to meet
It is game and there is no win
The unrest may be clearly seen
Until you go and accept the guilt
The inner peace can’t be built
Practicise it when you feel it may cause damage
Think of the consequences which you are unable to manage
It has to be one time affair or in exceptional case
It should not be made as practice or thought base

Thoughts About The Person From Porlock
Coleridge received the Person from Porlock
And ever after called him a curse,
Then why did he hurry to let him in?
He could have hid in the house.
It was not right of Coleridge in fact it was wrong
(But often we all do wrong)
As the truth is I think he was already stuck
With Kubla Khan.
He was weeping and wailing: I am finished, finished,
I shall never write another word of it,
When along comes the Person from Porlock
And takes the blame for it.
It was not right, it was wrong,
But often we all do wrong.
*
May we inquire the name of the Person from Porlock?
Why, Porson, didn’t you know?
He lived at the bottom of Porlock Hill
So had a long way to go,
He wasn’t much in the social sense
Though his grandmother was a Warlock,
One of the Rutlandshire ones I fancy
And nothing to do with Porlock,
And he lived at the bottom of the hill as I said
And had a cat named Flo,
And had a cat named Flo.
I long for the Person from Porlock
To bring my thoughts to an end,
I am becoming impatient to see him
I think of him as a friend,
Often I look out of the window
Often I run to the gate
I think, He will come this evening,
I think it is rather late.
I am hungry to be interrupted
For ever and ever amen
O Person from Porlock come quickly
And bring my thoughts to an end.
*
I felicitate the people who have a Person from Porlock
To break up everything and throw it away
Because then there will be nothing to keep them
And they need not stay.
*
Why do they grumble so much?
He comes like a benison
They should be glad he has not forgotten them
They might have had to go on.
*
These thoughts are depressing I know. They are depressing,
I wish I was more cheerful, it is more pleasant,
Also it is a duty, we should smile as well as submitting
To the purpose of One Above who is experimenting
With various mixtures of human character which goes best,
All is interesting for him it is exciting, but not for us.
There I go again. Smile, smile, and get some work to do
Then you will be practically unconscious without positively having to go.

Good Fortune
They say to celebrate
you should raise a glass or two,
but if you do not drink
that is something hard to do.
Instead, you can toast
by raising a cup of tea
and light several candles
for the more misfortunate
than you,
and then thank god
for bringing good fortune
to you.
Good fortune may not be money
to line your pockets well.
Good fortune might be the joy
of triumphing over adversity,
or it could be
getting over your fears.
Whatever good fortune
means to you.
You must celebrate
with happiness
and share your good fortune
with everyone
you will meet.
