But what is striking about this, in a town that often talks about tax cuts, we could quite easily, Republicans and Democrats working together, do something that everybody in America desires, and that is a simplification of our Tax Code.

Today's tax cuts provide yet another illustration of the Republicans' fiscally irresponsible economic policies that ignore the needs of America's middle class, students, and working families.

I'm Glad I Live Here
America has its problems
Soldiers sacrificing lives for others
Apart from their families for so long
Living every day in a foreign land
But I’m glad I live here
America has its problems
So many people without homes
Living on the streets desperate for shelter
Cold and sick they suffer each day
But I’m glad I live here
America has its problems
Countless people in poverty
Families unable to pay for their needs
Begging for help from others and the government
But I’m glad I live here
America has its problems
Illegal immigrants in our country
Working the jobs many of us refuse
Causing an uproar all around
But I’m glad I live here
America has its problems
Extremely high gas prices
Drivers unable to afford anything else
Because gas prices leave a hole in their pockets
But I’m glad I live here
America has its problems
Disputes over the current president
Whether he’s doing well running the country
Many disputes between Democrats and Republicans
But I’m glad I live here

We certainly could have voted on making the middle-class tax cuts and tax cuts for working families permanent had the Republicans not insisted that the only way they would support those tax breaks is if we also added $700 billion to the deficit to give tax breaks to the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans. That's what was really disturbing.

Working together during the past three years, we have confounded the skeptics and the cynics. We've shown that here in Virginia, Democrats and Republicans can come together, put politics aside, and make tough decisions when times demand it.

I Am The American Eagle
I Am The American Eagle
I am the American Eagle
with a broken right Republican wing,
and a broken left Democrat wing,
its 'We the people' body tattered and torn.
It needs pledges of help
to its God Bless America body,
for the Eagle spirit to heal.
Its 10% White Collar head
has lost control of its 90%
Blue Collar welfare soul.
For the American Eagle
to become strong,
we must quit
outsourcing its welfare
and unite with its talons
saying NUTS
Never Under Tyranny Surrender
the American Eagle spirit
that unites this nation.
That America is not 10%
but 100%,
where elected officials
need to be 100%
not 10%.
That we do not need
economic morticians
but 100%
American eagle POLITICIANS,
who are not bickering
Republicans
and/or
Democrats
but 100%
Americans.
'I pledge allegiance
to the flag of
the United States of America,
and to the republic
for which it stands,
one nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty
and justice for all.'
Feel these words reach deep inside America,
It is not a pledge to Demigod
Republicans and Democrats,
Nor is it to Wall St or Private Equity.
It diversity is not just
Conservative, Progressive, Liberal
Or Moderate or Independent,
Rich, poor,
It is even homeless.
Swiss bank accounts,
Overseas tax havens,
It is about investing in America
That we now need 100% pledges
For the American Eagle NUTS talons,
Never Under Tyranny Surrender
Our American 100% heritage
to the future of our children.
So the eaglets can fly
with both wings.

Americas Presidential Race
America! America!
The presidential race is on
America! America!
History is made when the race is won
The President is about to be displaced
These words are spoken with a lightface
In this little head, thoughts fight for space
Looking for evidence and clues to trace
Who can outpace?
Who can outrace?
Who can deliver not grass but grace?
As the president is about to be replaced
The agenda could be gender
In a political race of all races
The winner could be older and bolder
In this political footrace
Who does America embrace?
Which candidates do the people erase?
Who cares?
Who fears?
This change is about to and will take place
As the president is about to be replaced
No one cares if he is black or white
Or if the other man is too old to fight
No one cares if she is a woman
It is either the democrats or the republicans
Anyone can emerge as that political face
As the president is about to be displaced
America! America!
The presidential race is on
America! America!
History is made when the race is won

Well, you have the public not wanting any new spending, you have the Republicans not wanting any new taxes, you have the Democrats not wanting any new spending cuts, you have the markets not wanting any new borrowing, and you have the economists wanting all of the above. And that leads to paralysis.

3 Elephants Sue Republican Party
Elephants of the world have issued a press release.. an intention
to sue the Republican Party over using them as a symbol.
Their spokesperson states that no political party in the US has
ever harmed them more than Republicans whose trophy hunting
ivory seeking idle rich pleasure jaunt safaris with machine guns
and aerial hunting candidates such as Sarah Palin have decimated
elephant numbers.
The long memoried pachyderms know that the party of petroplutocrats
chose them for their size to give the false impression
that Republicans, less than 25% of the population, have more power than Democrats.
Republicans have won power through deflecting people's attention to
illegal wars, through murder (Kennedy's, King,
Wellstone, Callahan etc) , through bribery and 20,000 kinds of tricks.
*************************
55% of the country is unregistered. Of the remaining 45%,3/5 or
60% are independent or third party (Greens, Socialists, Libertarians,
Constitution Party, etc.) . Of the remaining 18%, over 2/3 are Democrats.

America Town
I know I should be happy in your land
It's not all that wild to me
Not that I want to be any other where
I know its hell out there
Here in the borders of America Town
All of the dollies are spinning round and round
Hail to the chief
Lets just drag them all down
There's got to be a hero somewhere
Used to get annoyed at the fire and the flag
Now it just seems old to me
(Everyone is old to me)
And I know we'd kick your ass
But first I'll take a nap tonight
And know someone's looking out for me
Here in the borders of America Town
All of the dollies are spinning round and round
Hail to the chief
Lets just drag them all down
There's got to be a hero somewhere
I tried it
I've seen it
I bought it all
Not that I'm upset
I can still make my bet on the basketball game
And I got my spare change
I'm even O.K. with the hoodlums on the hill
They're in my will
Like her and you
Whom and who
In America Town
We all spin around
In America Town
I'm really not down:
We all spin around
In America Town
America Town
America Town

Shouldn't We Be More Republic?
Why is the fight...
For democracy
A vision to be enforced by republicans,
Who have long divorced themselves
From the needs of common people?
They are not democrats at all!
But yet they do not hesitate or stall...
To label them librals!
This they will not confess...
Even complex them in distress!
Shouldn't we all be 'republicans'?
Fighting these endless battles?
Shouldn't we all be 'republicates'
With these issues to harnest and saddle?
'I pledge alligence to the...
...and to the 'republic' for which it stands,
One nation under God,
Seems to have slipped from sliding hands! '
There is something very republic about it...
That markets a democracy it misunderstands!
Democratic they may be...
For poster displays plastered in inner cities!
But 'republicans' true they say they are...
And democracy is pursued!
But none is used by far!
For purpose and content...
Their views aren't worth the trash in cans!
If it is true they move as republicans...
Why is democracy costing lives,
By actions 'republicans' command?
'Repeat that pledge again!
This time in its entirety.'

When It Cuts
cannot justify your envy
But I will be understanding when you stay
Then I will satisfy you in every (way)
But I'm not feeling coherent when you say
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I die again
Again
Though I'm right, I don't think I'll win this fight
But I'm trying though it's ripping me inside
Just in case that I'm taking up your space
I'll be feeling too, whatever's left inside
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I die again
I can't go on
I'm not that strong
I'm so alone
You just gotta set me free
I'm still living day, no way
I don't care what you say
Your eyes dispise my lies
Just say goodbye
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I
When it cuts, it cuts, it cuts hard
And I die again
Again, again
Waste your breath
