We should so provide for old age that it may have no urgent wants of this world to absorb it from meditation on the next. It is awful to see the lean hands of dotage making a coffer of the grave.

Urgent
Youre not shy, you get around
You wanna fly, dont want your feet on the ground
You stay up, you wont come down
You wanna live, you wanna move to the sound
Got fire in your veins
Burnin hot but you dont feel the pain
Your desire is insane
You cant stop until you do it again
But sometimes I wonder as I look in your eyes
Maybe youre thinking of some other guy
But I know, yes I know, how to treat you right
Thats why you call me in the middle of the night
You say its urgent
So urgent, so oh oh urgent
Just wait and see
How urgent my love can be
Its urgent
You play tricks on my mind
Youre everywhere but youre so hard to find
Youre not warm or sentimental
Youre so extreme, you can be so temperamental
But Im not looking for a love that will last
I know what I need and I need it fast
Yeah, theres one thing in common that we both share
Thats a need for for each other anytime, anywhere
It gets so urgent
So urgent
You know its urgent
I wanna tell you its the same for me
So oh oh urgent
Just you wait and see
How urgent our love can be
Its urgent
You say its urgent
Make it fast, make it urgent
Do it quick, do it urgent
Gotta rush, make it urgent
Want it quick
Urgent, urgent, emergency
Urgent, urgent, emergency
Urgent, urgent, emergency
Urgent, urgent, emergency
So urgent, emergency
Emer... emer... emer...
Its urgent

The World of Joy
This day I provide the world with joy,
My price for the company is brilliant,
I kept reasons too many for the toy.
Joyous occasions occur from the word to annoy,
My pencils are spun on something abhorrent,
This day I provide the world with joy.
What may cuddle or embrace is an alloy
From the heart, so hard and tough, inconsistent,
I kept reasons too many for the toy.
Then we wandered too far in the forest of a boy
Who through all his pride was obedient,
This day I provide the world with joy.
I have a ghost of martyrdom, a choirboy,
Who sang a tune to the nonviolent,
I kept reasons too many for the toy.
Inside I am happy, happier to employ,
Since our times of nourishment,
I kept reasons too many for the toy,
This day I provide the world with joy.

Oh, my head lay back on the seating
Been so tired, throw away my surrounding
Like the sun and moon take for granted
Soon we move through the flood and we fade away
Lie about it,
Cry about it,
Well be ok
Lean upon me,
Ill lean upon you,
Well be okay
Oh, I lay myself at your feet laughing
Hope mine eye made of the soul choir
Lean upon me,
Ill lean upon you,
Well be okay
Lie about it,
Cry about it,
Soon fade away
Lie about it,
Cry about it,
Well be okay
Lean upon me,
Ill lean upon you,
Well be okay

Awful
Swing low sweet cherry
Make it awful
Its your life, its your party, its so awful
Lets start a fire
Lets have riot! yeah its awful
It was punk
Yeah, it was perfect now its awful
They know how to break all the girls like you
And they rob the souls of the girls like you
Swing low, cherry, cherry
Yeah its awful
Hes drunk, he tastes
Like candy, hes so beautiful
Hes so deep like dirty water
God, hes awful
Youre lost, oh, wheres your daddy - its so awful
And they royalty rate all the girls like you
And they sell it out to the girls like you
To incorporate little girls
Hey, run away with the light
Run away its divine
Lets run away, yeah, tonight and
Well steal the light of the world
Swing low, sweet cherry, yeah, its awful
Youre ripe for the picking, its so awful
Youve got your youth
Dont waste your money
Yeah its awful
I was punk!
Now Im just stupid!
Im so awful
Oh, just shut up youre only 16
If the world is so wrong
Yeah you can break them all
With one song
If the world is so wrong yeah you can take it all
With one song
Swing low sweet cherry
Make it awful
They bought it all, just build a new one,
Make it beautiful...yeah

Dr Livingstone
Steam ship, sail down the river
Fight the mosquitoes that fly in a swarm
White smoke covers the jungle
See Dr. Livingston land with a thunk
Down where the sad willows gather
Young women weep for their dying babies
I am a white man in Africa
If I were to stay here
There'd be no one to save me
I hear the drums
I know it's urgent
I hear survival in his hands
Switch to record
I get the picture
But I will never understand
Mad world, invisible army
Blow up the bridges and come like a storm
Young girl, eyes full of promise
Carry the baby and keeping it warm
Down where the sad willows gather
Young men go down on their knees
I am a white man in Africa
With more than just my god to appease
I hear the drums
I know it's urgent
I hear survival in his hands
Switch to record
I get the picture
But I will never understand
How there is love in his face
'Midst of all this waste
In the Mozambique sun
Under the gun
I hear the drums
I hear survival in his hands
I hear the drums
There is a curse upon this land
I hear the drums
I know it's urgent
I hear survival in his hands
Hit record
Get the picture
I will never understand
Carry the sound and the fury
Left all alone in a war zone
Carry the sound and the fury
Hours later
Thoughts of my bed
Leave me tired and ready for sleep
So tell me about all the places you go
All the lives that you swallow, the people you keep
Deep in a monastery
That's where I want to be
Wrestle my soul

Raise Him Up
WHEN I FIRST MET HIS MAMA, SHE WAS JUST 19
?.COULDN'T SAY FOR CERTAIN WHO THE FATHER WAS
BUT I HAVE KNOWN HIM SINCE HE WAS A PUP
AND I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
IF YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR DADDY
LIKE I NEVER KNEW MINE
IT FEELS LIKE EVERYBODY KNOWS
YOU'RE FATHERLESS
THIS BOY MAY NOT BE BLOOD OF MY BLOOD
BUT I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
I''LL PROVIDE FOR HIM
WALK BESIDE OF HIM
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
CAUSE IT'S TIME HE KNEW
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
HE COULD CHANGE THE WORLD
YOU ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT JOSEPH
A COUPLE THOUSAND YEARS AGO
HE HELD A NEWBORN BABY HE NAMED JESUS
HE SAID ?HE MAY NOT BE BLOOD OF BY BLOOD
STILL I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP
I WILL PROVIDE FOR HIM
WALK BESIDE OF HIM
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
I WILL SHOW HIM TOO
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
AND HE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD.
33 YEARS LATER
WHEN THE SON WAS IN HIS GRAVE
BROKEN AND ABANDONED
BY A WORLD HE CAME TO SAVE
HIS REAL DAD SAID
?HE'S MINE,
BLOOD OF MY BLOOD
AND I'M GONNA RAISE HIM UP?
I'LL PROVIDE FOR YOU
WALK BESIDE OF YOU
I AM STRONG ENOUGH
I HAVE SEEN FROM YOU
WHAT A SON CAN DO
WITH A FATHER'S LOVE
ONE MAN CHANGED THE WORLD AND HE CAN CHANGE YOUR WORLD
BUT YOU GOTTA RAISE HIM UP
RAISE HIM UP

Meditation
When the mind is quiet and in glee,
And of scattered thoughts it is free,
Meditation can be undertaken,
And all sundry thoughts forsaken.
Meditation is an unbroken attention,
In a particular physical position,
And flow of fixed concentration,
With contemplation to a state of intuition.
Meditation brings the mind to clarity,
Whereby therein springs serenity,
All activity is reduced in meditation,
And the mind gravitates to illumination.
Meditation is a virtuous way of life,
Whereby there is control over life,
It entails regulation of the mind,
Negating all wary thoughts that bind.
With meditation, the mind is calm,
Deep peace courses, which is a balm,
Awareness of breath control induces relaxation,
Realizing our unity with Cosmos brings realization.

Harijan
If you utter the word harijan
You would be prosecuted.
How you dare to takeaway
Their lands, their houses
Their foods and clothings
It invites atrocities.
Provide them proper education
Provide them medical facilities
Provide them eyes and ears
Open their doors and windows
Let them assess the world
That it is theirs.

What is not urgent must be done quickly in order to take care of the urgent things calmly.
Dry Hands
on the table
trying to absorb
the moisture of
sandalwood
it is not the water
but the lacking care
of another set of
hands
inside it rains
someone claps his hands
so inconsiderate
outside is the sunshine
of her smile
impenetrability

To dong and jamila
Soon you will be joined
As one
This marriage of two worlds
Apart
Extreme worlds
Moslem and Christian
Beyond religion
Beyond culture
Beyond what your families
Prohibit
Your love must be true
Tested against time
As both of you shall say
Yes, I do
The man now takes this woman
As his wife
Back then to the free world of love
There will be no differences
Or if there be any
Your love shall provide the patch
Her love shall provide the needle and the threads
And both of you shall sew
What was torn with
Such tender and loving hands.

Lean On Me
Heavy burden on your shoulder
Lean on me
Heavy burden on your shoulder
Lean on me
Heavy burden on your shoulder
Everyday just a little bit harder
Heavy burden on your shoulder
Lean on me
Down and out without hope
Lean on me
Down and out without hope
Lean on me
Down and out without hope
Im right here, Ill help you cope
Down and out without hope
Lean on me
Grab a rope and pull me in
But lean on me
Everyday, youll have a friend
But lean on me
Grab a rope, pull me in
Everyday youll have a friend
Grab a rope
In the world, ? ?
And if youre looking for a rainy day friend
Well grab a rope, pull me in
Lean on me
Heavy burden cloudy skies
Lean on me
Ill be the ? ? of weeping eyes
But lean on me
If you always feels like rain
All youve got in life is pain
Heavy burden, go away
Oh... , goodbye
Heavy burden, on you shoulder
Lean on me

Love 4 Fun
So you think you got it all worked out
And what youre searching for
Isnt what you found
Up in this world thats on the run
A lot of hits but only a few
Number ones
Im making love for fun
Are you looking for a holiday
Im making love for fun
Why would you do it any other way
Im making good
On everything I said
So baby just relax
And let me do my thing
Up in my world you better run
Theres only room
For the few who can come
Im making love for fun
Are you looking for a holiday
Im making love for fun
Why would you do it any other way
When you dont have a place to go
When everything feels the same
I can change what you think you know
Making love my way
Im making love for fun
Are you looking for a holiday
Im making love for fun
Why would you do it any other way
Im making love for fun
Are you looking for a holiday
Im making love for fun
Why would you do it any other way

Secret World
This is a garden, this is a steeple
I hear the crowd before I ever see the people
Yours for the making, and for the taking
There is a power in the vacuum we are making
You and I have a secret world
And we can keep it unfurled
And pay no attention to the cradle or the grave
And when we're crossed,
We can say that we're lost
In the middle of nowhere think you'll like it a lot
And if we're wrong and we end up alone
We'll light a candle for their innocent bones
You and I have a secret world
And we can keep it unfurled
And pay no attention to the cradle or the grave
You and I have a secret world
And we can keep it unfurled
And pay no attention to the cradle or the grave
And when we're crossed,
We can say that we're lost
In the middle of nowhere think you'll like it a lot
And if we're wrong and we end up alone
We'll light a candle for their innocent bones
You and I have a secret world
And we can keep it unfurled
And pay no attention to the cradle or the grave
And when we're crossed,
We can say that we're lost
In the middle of nowhere think you'll like it a lot
And if we're wrong and we end up alone
We'll light a candle for their innocent bones

Urgent
Urgent...
To leave philosophies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
It's urgent...
That we all now see,
Dependency on others we must all heed.
Yes it's urgent...
That a greed and gluttony be released.
So urgent...
Is the writing on the wall,
No one must ignore at all!
It's urgent...
To leave philosophies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
It's urgent...
That we all now see,
Dependency on others we must all heed.
So urgent...
That a greed and gluttony be released,
The writing's on the wall for all to see!
The writing's on the wall for all to see!
It's urgent...
To leave philosophies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
It's urgent...
To leave philosophies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
So urgent...
To leave philosophies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
And we must leave philosphies,
That survival is a personal need to feed.
While others are starving as we feed greed.
While others are starving as we feed greed.
Thinking of others is the urgency!
Urgent IS the emergency,
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
Urgent IS the emergency,
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
Urgent IS the emergency,
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
Urgent IS the emergency,
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
That we START to think of others...
And STOP our greed.
The stopping of the greed is the urgency!

Yoga introduced me to a style of meditation. The only meditation I would have done before would be in the writing of songs.
Groovy Movies
Sometimes I think Im gonna better myself,
Searching for acceptance in this big, wide world.
Sometimes I think I wont make it,
Playing in a rock n roll band.
Sometimes I wanna be a picture director,
And try to make the world understand.
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies.
All the movie makers of the world would be,
Falling over backwards to have dinner with me.
Ill go down to [? ]
Anytime I feel like a game[? ].
Or take a long vacation to san tropez,
And think of all the money I made.
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies.
I dont want to be a producer,
I dont want to be a big star.
I just want to be a picture director,
And smoke a big havana cigar.
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies,
By making groovy movies.

Lean On You
The firt step to heaven
I will take in my life
I am not afraid when
I can hold you tight
If there must be an answer
Then there must be a prayer
And you must be the angel
When youre standing there
So I lean on you, I lean on you
My life is such a statement
Of my hopes and despairs
But nothing really matters
Just as long as youre there
You love me such honesty,
You love with no gain
You speak to me so tender
And you never explain
So I lean on you, I lean on you
My baby she cares
Its so easy to do
My baby she tells me what to do
She always tells me the truth
My baby she cares
Its so easy to do
My baby knows what Im gonna do
Thats why I lean on you
I dream of an island,
Of a fantasy place
Where I can go to sometimes
And nobody can trace
Well such is the nature,
The nature of love
That when we dream it
Sometimes means that we need love
So I lean on you, I lean on you
My baby she cares
Its so easy to do
My baby she tells me what to do
She always tells me the truth
My baby she cares
Its so easy to do
My baby knows what Im gonna do
Thats why I lean on you
So I lean on you, I lean on you
I lean on you, so I lean on you
(repeat chorus)
