Normally, we see characters that have God complexes. How interesting, I thought, it would be to capitalize on that. And say, OK, well fine, you have a God complex, well this person has a Satan complex. And the doctor chooses to treat him scientifically.

Every actor will tell you it's so much more fun to play the bad guy because usually those characters are more complex and more broad and more interesting, and have more sides to them.

Complex
She is complex,
Her smile and wink,
Changing a mind in a heartbeat,
A provocative smile clouds your sight,
Lust burning away your life,
Want, addiction, never stopping,
Never stopping until you find,
The complex woman,
The complex woman that haunts your thoughts,
She hides in the corner of your heart,
And creeps up when she's around
The complex woman's secrets never revealed,
In this vast world,
In this fog,
In this fog of mind,
The complex woman stands,
Waiting for a chance,
One.. More... Chance

I like digging into these characters that are a lot more complex, and there's a lot that isn't apparent on the surface … In a weird way, you can access all that fear and pain. … Nothing makes me happier than when somebody figures out I was in something, and then they'd seen me in something else, and had no idea it was the same person… Then I feel like I've done my job.

It is clear to all that the animal organism is a highly complex system consisting of an almost infinite series of parts connected both with one another and, as a total complex, with the surrounding world, with which it is in a state of equilibrium.

When distant and unfamiliar and complex things are communicated to great masses of people, the truth suffers a considerable and often a radical distortion. The complex is made over into the simple, the hypothetical into the dogmatic, and the relative into an absolute.

The Nag Complex (Fun Poem 105)
Yesterday I wrote about the Mumble Syndrome.
When the brain does the hundred-yard dash
and leaves the tongue trailing right at the rear.
Today I am writing about the Nag Complex
and no this has nothing to do with the wife.
This is when the brain forgets
to register something you have done
and nags you with doubt
until you recheck it out.
You leave to go to work,
you shut the front door
and get into your car and start driving.
When suddenly the nag complex begins to kick in.
Did you turn off everything?
You cannot remember.
Did you shut the front door?
You cannot remember.
The more you think about these things
the more frustrated you get.
You’re almost at work now and what do you do?
You turn around, go back,
and check everything again
only to find you did them all the first time.
Have you ever noticed the nag complex
always begins when you’re near your destination
and always there is no one you can phone
just to check it out for you.
It just happens and happens.
The brain does not want to remember
and leaves you to fret.
While the nag complex hedges its bet
knowing you will go home and check it all again.

Shadow Of A Doubt
shadow of a doubt (a complex kid)"

There goes my baby, there goes my only one.
I think she loves me, but she don't wanna let on.
Yeah, she likes to keep me guessin',
She's got me on the fence with that little bit of mystery,
She's a complex kid and she's always been so hard to figure out.
Yeah, she always likes to leave me with a shadow of a doubt.
Sometimes at night i wait around 'til she gets off.
She don't like workin', she says she hates her boss,
But she's got me askin' questions, she's got me on the fence
With that little certain something, she's a complex kid,
And she's always been so hard to get around.
She always likes to leave me with a shadow of a doubt.
Just a shadow of a doubt, she says it keeps me runnin'.
I'm trying to figure out if she's leadin' up to something
And when she's dreamin', sometimes she sings in french,
But in the morning, she don't remember it.
But she's got me thinking 'bout it,
Yeah, she's got me on the fence
With that little bit of mystery, she's a complex kid,
And she's always been so hard to live without.
Yeah, she always likes to leave me, with a shadow of a doubt.

Lonely Need Someone
If you are lonely
You simply need someone
Not just any someone
But your someone.
Finding your someone
Is apparently a simple solution
To a complex problem.
A problem as complex
As you yourself.
The problem arises
From never writing down
What your heart really wants.
It feels too corny
To write something like that
Down on paper.
But don't knock it
Until you have tried it.
