Lynch is not as strange as his films. He's a complex guy with a very interesting view of the world. But he's very accessible, with a good heart.

You have to nail the right tone because sometimes when you just see his films cold, you're not quite sure. It's the same in - I'm trying to think of other directors with a similar sense - David Lynch's films, Tim's films, some of Cronenberg's stuff.

Keep Yourself Accessible
Did you dropp your smile?
Something is missing on your face.
And I know I haven't seen that in a while.
Did it hurt?
Have you deserted it,
To carry that frown?
Don't be down.
Keep yourself accessible.
Turn around.
Get rid of that frown.
Keep yourself accessible.
Don't dry up like a vegetable.
Or a grape reduced to a raisin juiced.
Showing you've been pruned,
From a plum someone had used!
Keep yourself accessible.
Turn around.
Get rid of that frown.
Invite more sun to come around.
Keep yourself accessible.
Become a fine wine...
That's been aged over time.
And decide in your mind...
The life you live welcomes Sunshine!
Keep yourself accessible.
With a spring in your step,
Bouncing in your prime.
Yes...
Keep yourself accessible.
Turn around.
Don't be down.
Keep yourself accessible.
And in your mind welcome Sunshine,
Today.
Hey...
And in your mind welcome Sunshine,
Today.
Hey...
And in your mind welcome Sunshine,
Today.
Hey...
Keep yourself accessible.
And in your mind welcome Sunshine,
Today.

Normally, we see characters that have God complexes. How interesting, I thought, it would be to capitalize on that. And say, OK, well fine, you have a God complex, well this person has a Satan complex. And the doctor chooses to treat him scientifically.

Complex
She is complex,
Her smile and wink,
Changing a mind in a heartbeat,
A provocative smile clouds your sight,
Lust burning away your life,
Want, addiction, never stopping,
Never stopping until you find,
The complex woman,
The complex woman that haunts your thoughts,
She hides in the corner of your heart,
And creeps up when she's around
The complex woman's secrets never revealed,
In this vast world,
In this fog,
In this fog of mind,
The complex woman stands,
Waiting for a chance,
One.. More... Chance

It's also a question of finding good material and interesting roles. I'm not the only actress out there, and good parts just don't fall into your lap that easily. But I like most of the films I've made recently and so I'm pretty positive about the future.

Not Wheelchair Accessible
I have something to say but no one will hear it because I can’t get in.
The place to speak is not wheelchair accessible.
My whole life I have been on the outside looking in.
Because most business owners brains are not wheelchair accessible.
When I’m on the street corner just waiting for bus some one walks up and hands me a dollar because they think I’m begging another mind that is not wheelchair accessible.
I know most people have to look down to see me, but they don’t need to look down on me. A person who is unable to see past the physical is a person who will never see that I’m not the one with the disability they are. Do you hear me or are you not wheelchair accessible.
My principal job is to make interesting and entertaining films, and I'm not proud of which format or which particular technique I use. I just wanted the film to look good.

Boy Strange
See boy strange on the horizon of love
Hes calling to you
What do you say
See boy strange as an example of youth
So close to the truth but still far away
And hes such a strange boy
Dyou think hell make a good exchange for
The one before a closed door
That you left behind
When you realise that this boy is strange
Its too late to change your point of view
Hes often there when the sun meets the sky
With a perfect alibi unlike you
And hes such a strange boy
Dyou think hell make a good exchange for
The one before a closed door
That you left behind
To talk of common sense is
A complete waste of time
His looks are a crime
Bound to commit
In the eyes of the world hes a borderline fool
Both naive and cruel
Why would you inflict him on you
And hes such a strange boy
Dyou think hell make a good exchange for
The one before a closed door
That you left behind

Let's Lynch The Landlord
The landlord's here to visit
They're blasting disco down below
Sez, "I'm doubling the rent
Cuz the buildings condemned
You're gonna help me buy City Hall"
But we can, you know we can
We can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord man
I tell them turn on the water
I tell them turn on the heat
Tells me "All you ever do is complain"
Then they search the place when I'm not here
But we can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord
Let's lynch the landlord
Let's lynch the landlord man
There's rats chewin' up the kitchen
Roaches up to my knees
Turn the oven on, it smells like Dachau
Til' the rain pours through the ceiling
But we can, you know we can
Let's lynch the landlord man

Good Man
I ain't like the rest, I am (accessible)
One day U'll see that I'm the best
(I'm a super workin' man, mama)
If I am good then U are (accessible)
I am a good man
(Good man) {x2}
U walk around with your heart on the ground
U ain't got nobody and U're feelin' down
Maybe U've been lookin' on the wrong side of town
Listen...
I've been workin' 2 jobs just 2 make ends meet
2 U it might look like a dead end street
Where little boys give up, a good man sticks around ... yes he does!
So if U're lookin' 4 a good man (good man)
A super workin' lover papa
A good man (good man)
A money makin' real provider
Then give up, your search is over
I'm the man 4 U
(Good man)
U're sick of talkin' 2 men with no future?
Well, a trip around the world'd suit U fine
(True love, it don't cost nothin')
True love don't cost nothin'
Just 2 hearts beatin' in time
Oh, if U believe it, let me hear U say yeah, oh yeah
U got 2 give me a chance
Get it on
If U believe it, let me hear U say yeah, oh yeah
And we can find romance
I got, I got, I got, I got some super workin' love 4 ya
And if it's passion U're after
Oh girl, I can do the do (do the do)
Don't let my dirty hands fool U
I ain't gonna stop until U beg me, beg me, beg me 2
My ride got a 12 cylinder that's built 2 last
And if U let me love U baby, U'll forget about your past
Woman, I'm a super workin' lover man
If U hear me rappin' 2 U, tell me that U understand
Every good woman wants a good man
Let me hear U say yeah, oh yeah
U got 2 give me a chance
If U believe in love, let me hear U say yeah, oh yeah
We can find romance
Y-E-S we can
Every good woman needs a good man
A super workin' good lovin' papa (Good)
A long stridin', a real providin' (Good)
Money makin', clothes-off takin' good man (Good)
Think U know what I mean
A brother holding plenty of green
(Baby, here I am)
Baby, if U want my love, say yeah, oh yeah (Good man)
U got 2 give me a chance
Y-E-S we can
(Every woman wants a good man)
If U want my body, say yeah, oh yeah (Good man)
Give me a chance
Then U and me can be accessible
'Nuf said!
(Good man) {x2}

Echo
Theres something about
The look in your eyes
Something I noticed when
The light was just right
It reminded me twice
That I was alive
And it reminded me that
Youre so worth the fight
My biggest fear will be
The rescue of me
Strange how it turns out
That way, yeah
Could you show me dear?
Something Im not seeing
Something infinitely interesting
Could you show me dear?
Something Im not seeing
Something infinitely interesting
Theres something about
The way you move
I see your mouth in slow motion
When you sing
More subtle than something
Someone contrives
Your movements echo that
I have seen the real thing
Your biggest fear will be
The rescue of you
Strange how it turns out
That way, yeah
Could you show me dear?
Something Im not seeing
Something infinitely interesting
Could you show me dear?
Something Im not seeing
Something infinitely interesting

There were a lot of people dreaming about making films, and they would finance maybe 6 films a year. Because they were funded by the government, the films sort-of had to deal with serious social issues - and, as a result, nobody went to see those films.
