The flatterer
The one who praises you in front, flatters.
The other who praises you behind, admires.
The one who praises you in front and
Derides you behind is worse than a foe.
And the flatterer is your inferior.

Give Praises For This Day You Witness
Give praises for this day you witness,
In gratitude for those blessings...
That have come to you.
Why hesitate to await permission?
Why do that,
After all you've been through.
Yesterday with delays and impatience...
Has gone and should be erased.
No need to redo or relive a past,
For you that has dues paid at last.
Give praises for this day you witness,
In gratitude for those blessings...
That have come to you.
Who more than you deserves these gifts?
To do as you choose...
As God wishes you to do.
With faith and hope and sacrifice,
You have succeeded to achieve a peace.
It is yours to keep,
And know this is true!
Be thankful.
Give praises.
Know that God loves you!
Do not feel guilt or a selfishness.
This God for you has done.
He has chosen you to bless!

Sonnet: Praise
Oh, praise me not in a limitless way;
O’er-praise puts mind in enshackled a sway,
Distorting its performance thereafter;
An o’er-enthused mind can’t function better.
The hard-earned, older virtues won o’er years,
In moments of flimsy praises by dears,
Feels weaken’d from its adverse/ill-effects;
Praises any human mind sure infects!
Praise me deservingly and nothing more;
Never praises in excessive measures pour;
It could inebriate my feeble mind,
Unless measured and properly refined.
’Tis better not to be praised if worthy,
Than be o’er-praised, ecstatic and guilty.

So Many Like You
You tell everyone of your greatness of how wonderful you think you are
And they wink behind your back when you tell them of your recent big buy your brand new car
They look on you as rather boastful since your own praises you only sing
In self esteem you are not lacking and that in itself is a good thing,
Those you tell your success stories to their own success stories only like to tell
They are not sincere in their praises when they tell you that you have done well
You do not understand that many others are like you their own success stories they like to relate
And though out of politeness they say you have done well
they do not really think you are great
Many like to tell of their own successes and of the successes of others would rather not hear
For many into self promotion or at least that's how it does appear
So many like you have big egos and for to promote themselves are not shy
And why they sing their own praises to others is not hard to understand why
Since we live in the age of the aspirational so many to greatness aspire
And only those who are seen to be successful are people that others admire.

Hopefully Yours
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Satan and sins, Thy desire
Gave us fear
This time last year
In nocturnal December
Tsunami butted us on to despair
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Evil and suffer, Thy desire
Gave us deluge to expire
Again in nocturnal November
This grave year
An unforgettable misery somber
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Thou glee shall flee
Perishing with us souls eerie
Pounce on here to see
The unseen destinstion under an estuary-canopy
A seething change herein are we
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Thrusted by the torrential rain
With tyrannic might the quaffed whole main
Mounted numbers of fallen lives down slain
Unhappy sign
Thy Mercy shall stop the chain
Praises to Thee Lord of Heavens
Sooner rings the New Year
Pictures of gone history poor
Be it pictures mere
Shan't be hung any more
Shan't be born any more
And Thy Mercy, will commend gaiety?
Hopefully Yours...

Choose More of This As a Happening
You can turn your world around.
Turn it upside down.
And give it brand new meaning...
Without a hint you plan to scheme.
You can turn your world around.
Turn it upside down.
And give it brand new meaning...
Without a hint you plan to scheme.
'Cause scheming wont lift your voice to sing,
Paises, praises.
See yourself freed of petty things!
You can turn your world around.
Turn it upside down.
And give it brand new meaning...
Without a hint you plan to scheme.
'Cause scheming wont lift your voice to sing,
Paises, praises.
Scheming wont lift your voice to sing,
Paises, praises.
See yourself freed of petty things!
And want more happiness in life to bring,
Praises, praises.
Choose more of this as a happening!
Praises, praises.
Choose more of this as a happening!
Choose more of this as a happening!

Jump For Joy!
Jump for joy
Sing songs of praises to the Lord
Up on your feet and dance
Give glory to the Lord above
My only shield, my armor, my defender
My creator, my everything
Thank you for every trials
Thank you for all answered prayers.
As I continue my life journey
Be with me, and don't ever leave me
I cling unto you, for there is no other but you
I am nothing without you.
And so I will always jump for joy
With peace inside my heart
For you deserve all my praises
Jump for joy! ! !

Fearful of You
I am fearful of you, as a pen writes for me,
Inside you caresses speak, with loud lamentations.
You dearly write of the weeks ahead,
Causing months to speak and mutter
The praises so sudden, as praises shake me,
And blood is spilled for my sake.
The veins and arteries fear you and all of me,
When love’s shadow is real.
When is love real? When do you love?

Gather Ye Rosebuds
Gather ye rosebuds all who will,
and yet, though Time’s a-flying,
in one fair head, eternal still,
Life thrives, Death’s grin denying.
The glorious lamp of Heaven, the Sun,
as higher he is getting,
if e’er his praises were begun -
laws seasonal forgetting -
Go[l]d head embarrassed would be hung
as modesty’s essential,
in beauty all eclipsed are, st[r]ung
like pearls inconsequential.
God praises her, both first and last,
each other flits, - pale phantom, -
she’s envied now by Future, Past,
Life’s summons flows to summum...

cherry blossom
our hearts full with praises
for spring
new york supermoon
a dream i still
carry with me
cherry blossom
our hearts full with praises
for spring
two trapeze artists
a sixteen legged stunt
in a maze of ropes
the black widow did not just
devour her male partner
he begged for it
... he said it was part of his ecstasy
she obliged for the thrill and fill

Praises to God
In perilous path, resilient on the plains of earth,
On the barren turf, where the bleach dust sow,
Iniquity planted with thorns, darkness brought forth,
Only crushed vines withered by the suns glow.
But the meek of earth sing praises within the heart,
Unto God from where blessings come; and praises go,
In celestial glow, with grace and mercy proclaim truth,
Where love blossom and the lilies of joys grow.
Distant sounds hear the sum of drums beat in heaven,
Sky high clouds carry messages coming from the heart,
Anticipating wonderful praises to God the choice given,
From cleansing souls began a journey of new birth.
To live in peace free from guilt, and proclaim harmony,
In tempted causes of life where the tame minds go,
People give praises to God and blessings accompany,
Go where joy resonates and the still waters flow.
And if earth’s society tries to keep glad pilgrims bound,
They in the court of praise ascend the rearward light,
From around the globe, to God it shines; head to womb,
And no wound from hell or hound the heel will bite.
For they are victorious in praises and the radiant beam,
Sends the gospel bells ringing across the plains of earth,
Over land and seas, places herald the wondrous gleam,
Brighter than darkness, the light proclaim liberty and truth.

I Am A Virtual Poet In Virtual Hiding
I AM A VIRTUAL POET IN VIRTUAL HIDING
I am a virtual poet in virtual hiding
I do not want to be seen
Or known
I want to write my lines
And be worshipped from a distance
As if my person and my name
Had no real connection.
Praises and more praises are fine
Critical evaluations which admire – excellent
If non- existent and potentially embarrassing-
But please don’t come too near
With what you say-
I fear if you hear me
You will steal my essence-
And know this truth -
‘I am a virtual poet
In need of, fear of
An acclaim-
I don’t really believe I deserve.’

Just Leave Me With Nature
A stranger to any success or renown
And if I should die far south of old Millstreet Town
It will not matter to me then where my bones will lay
Just leave me with Nature and I will be okay
Does not matter if they bury me or to ashes me they burn
From Nature I came and to her I'll return
In immortal Mother Nature so much to admire
And of singing her praises could one ever tire,
The wonders of Nature is an amazing thing
And the praises of Nature with joy we should sing
We are part of Nature it does seem to me
Though many with my thinking may not agree
To your unseen God you may kneel for to pray
But in Mother Nature's bosom your remains will lay.

Praises
When you awaken one morning,
And feeling the absence of B.S.
Don't stop to wonder where it is...
Or quickly get dressed,
Expecting your usual day of stress.
Thank God for the moment!
And address this happiness.
Do your best to keep this feeling!
And express your thankfulness...
With praises you are willing to give,
Accept and share!
Hold onto it with a firm grip!
And pray to keep it there.
When you awaken one morning,
And feeling the absence of B.S.
Don't rush to the window as the sunrise lifts!
Forget that it ever came to visit.
And forgive yourself 'if' it is missed!
Sit...
With praises you are willing to give!

Beautiful voice you have
A beautiful voice
a peaceful sound
we hear in the passage
voice given by God
a talent to you
We hear you singing
beautiful praises
to God our Father
a heavenly voice
you have indeed
As you, continue to sing
I start to wonder
How great is God?
how great is He?
I can hear the passion
you have for God
in your voice
a passion with such
love and dedication
Then I realize
that God is awesome
yes, He is great
He is wonderful
the only God
worthy of such praises
the only God that is alive
Amen

The Ballade Of The Automobile
When our yacht sails seaward on steady keel
And the wind is moist with breath of brine
And our laughter tells of our perfect weal,
We may carol the praises of ruby wine;
But if, automobiling, my woes combine
And fuel gives out in my road-machine
And it's sixteen miles to that home of mine--
Then ho! For a gallon of gasoline!
When our coach rides smoothly on iron-shod wheel
With a deft touch guiding each taut drawn line
And the inn ahead holds a royal meal,
We may carol the praises of ruby wine;
But when, on some long and steep incline,
In a manner entirely unforeseen
The motor stops with a last sad whine--
Then ho! For a gallon of gasoline!
When the air is crisp and the brooks congeal
And our sleigh glides on with a speed divine
While the gay bells echo with peal on peal,
We may carol the praises of ruby wine;
But when, with perverseness most condign,
In the same harsh snowstorm, cold and keen,
My auto stops at the six-mile sign--
Then ho! For a gallon of gasoline!
ENVOY
When yacht or Coach Club fellows dine
We may carol the praises of ruby wine;
But when Automobile Clubmen convene
Then ho! For a gallon of gasoline!

An Adventure
A free venture, a project so admired,
Will be listed tonight, like a headline.
And we shall entwine the layers of work,
This interlace promises us reward, so much profit.
Enveloped by the masses, it is good reading,
Polluted like fire and ice together;
Entries are being made to madly construct
And provoke extra blessing, extra poison.
Envenomed by the guards of living,
We construct the throat and its requirements,
Towards it we sing of our praises,
Enviable places are these praises of love.
Our venture is stunning, so fortunate for us,
And our privilege.

TODAY's prayer
I will praise God
And praise him with all my heart
I will sing praises to God
And I will sing praises to him at the top of all my voice
I will bend before him and lay flat on the ground
I will not look at him straight in the eye
I will offer all my heart
I will offer my entire mind
I will offer all my soul
I will offer him everything
That I have
I will offer all that I am
I will make another covenant with him
I will make another set of promises
I will sign a new agreement
I will execute a new set of promises
I will close my eyes and think of him
I will join him
In his silence
In his patience with my broken promises.
