It is preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents us from living freely and nobly.

Intensity Of Passion Desires
people only steal
possessions trinkets
they value want
perhaps intensity
of passion desires
is too much to resist
yet had they asked
their hearts desires
in time would
oft be freely given
sadly possessions
held lose allure values

Americans become unhappy and vicious because their preoccupation with amassing possessions obliterates their loneliness. This is why production in America seems to be on such an endless upward spiral: every time we buy something we deepen our emotional deprivation and hence our need to buy something.

I am beginning to have a healthy dread of possessions, be it of a country, a house, a being or even an idea. If we are bothered by possessions we cannot really live either from without or from within; we are the possession of our possessions. All wars and most loves come from the possessive instinct. Why grab possessions like thieves, or divide them like socialists when you can ignore them like wise men: that you may belong to everything and everything be yours inclusive of yourself. Could we, and we can, have the vital necessities for all, we should do away with this cry of class and begin to differentiate between individuals.

Painful Writing
sonnet #11
painful writing
living can be through introspection
searching for the meaning in my life
yet this does not imply perfection
pleasure versus pain is still in strife
i am in growing and creating
in the making ever unfinished
the writer prevented from writing
life passing by not truly engaged
pain prevents me from writing freely
and then i write to escape the pain
still needed by someone uniquely
for together we have smelt the rain
when there is nothing left to explore
being opens up in death a door

Undone To Undo
Undone to undo...
Those passionate insights.
Individuality disconnected,
To a symbolic way of life.
Undone to undo...
Questions and curiousity.
Freedom to disconnect...
From a torn and decadent society.
Undone to undo...
Truth and honesty.
A rise in higher consciousness,
That allows eyes wide open that see.
Undone to undo...
Facts and nonfiction.
To restrict convictions.
Undone to undo...
Influence that speaks,
To those poor and meek...
Reaching to strengthen,
Identities that seek...
A reality that teaches,
Shackles are for the sheep...
Heading for mutilation.
And a mindless humanity!
Undone to undo...
You and I.
And all good deeds pursued,
We attempt to do.
Undone to undo...
But intervention,
Prevents it.
Intervention prevents it.
Intervention prevents it.
An intervention,
Prevents it.
And dimensions,
Diminish.

The Ten Percent Gospel or Malachi Syndrome
Tithe, Tithe, Tithe!
Your money give to God
Tithe, Tithe, Tithe!
Will your God you rob?
Mix LAW and FAITH together
And set a precedent,
Mix LAW and FAITH together
But start at ten percent!
For me to tithe? it's not of faith
It's like - not eating ham,
For me to tithe? it's not of faith
Don't make the gospel a sham!
Give Freely, Freely, Freely
For, in the Christ you are made alive,
Give Freely, Freely, Freely
And make His ROOD your tithe! ! !
'Freely you have received, freely give.'
Matthew 10: 7-16; Acts 4: 36,37
(The tithe in Malachi was food, somewhere along the line it's been changed to money, most likely
by 'money hungry' pastors who see themselves a as type of Levitical Priesthood, and live like
parasites off the sheep, the 34th of Ezekiel says it all.)

A Lady
I am living in somebody's house,
I am living with somebody's wife,
Through the deep i look and pray;
Like the guilty and the guiltiness upon Egypt's land.
I am living in somebody's house,
I am living with somebody's wife,
Through the dark i do pray;
Like the blind old man with his stick.
This tale is old,
This only star is lonely,
But the summer is green;
So let my memory still be thy pride and,
Let the river nobly foams and flows;
Like the white winter.
To nature and to me so dear,
Of my name in a story like this;
Like the wolf on the fold.
Those days are gne but, beauty still lies here;
Of all the pleasant places of festivity like,
a river ebbing very slow from the red gash;
I am living with somebody's wife.

Sonnet- No Man Is Perfect
Which man, a perfect Being, calls himself?
When imperfect, the world seems naturally;
And more so when he is after more pelf;
And labels others, 'imperfect' freely.
All men are deficient in many ways,
Yet, point their fingers to the ones around;
They try to mask their own unsteady base;
Superior ones, they even try to hound.
But talents are God-given gifts to men;
In quantities, differing 'midst earthlings;
To -develop them, depends on our own ken;
None prevents you from wearing many rings.
Why blame others when you are blameworthy?
Why jealous be, when you are more ‘filthy’?

No Baggage
I sit on the seashore
breathing salt air
free as the wind
no worries, no cares.
I've no possessions,
not even my bones
for all that I am
will quickly be gone
Why shackle my spirit,
make me conform,
limit my freedom
as soon as I'm born.
I am the ocean,
I am the sun,
I am the land,
do me no harm.
I am an earthling
born from a star
let me breathe freely
no luggage, thus far.

On the Service
Some people so generously, so freely, so nobly, so eloquently, so obviously provide you with two pounds of the most, very helpful, even vital assistance, on the service.
but underneath they have given you ten pounds of hurt, anxiety and doubt.
The are more than
Passive aggressive,
rocks in food,
sand in your drink,
They are hate in love.
Hate pretending to be kindness, generosity, and love.

Different Names
My names differ in the way they are told,
Goals for eternity are these names for some;
What power prevents me from being aware
Of faint thoughts about naming and telling?
My soul prevents other souls from growing,
Stuck into stability, the heart I wear grows;
For he now makes me a slave of thinking,
My feasting is different from his, the man with growth.
I have solutions for the problems of slavery,
Yet I need freedom to become an experience.

People who get through life dependent on other people's possessions are always the first to lecture you on how little possessions count.
Stress Builds Up
my heart closed up at the truth
i heard the news but lack of belief
kept a smile on my face as i broke
down on the inside, i feel every
tear and slash as if i was being
attacked yet no emotion showed on
my face no sign of remorse nothing
i lack control of a dangerous beast
and some where i believe i will
lose all i care about because of it
but why cant you see its not really my fault
i try and try but the past prevents it
prevents me from opening up and
being human

Do not be desirous of having things done quickly. Do not look at small advantages. Desire to have things done quickly prevents their being done thoroughly. Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished.
Play has been man's most useful preoccupation.

Set The Fire!
tear down the house!
throw all of your possessions
on the pile...
the possessions that owned you!
all of your memories,
your prejudices, your acts of
vengeance and greed...
all the things you think you needed...
your rights, your wrongs,
your halo, your guns...
your patriotism, your pride,
and the doors you locked...
all on the pile,
without looking back...
set the fire!

Unnecessary possessions are unnecessary burdens. If you have them, you have to take care of them! There is great freedom in simplicity of living. It is those who have enough but not too much who are the happiest.
