Do not be desirous of having things done quickly. Do not look at small advantages. Desire to have things done quickly prevents their being done thoroughly. Looking at small advantages prevents great affairs from being accomplished.

The BENEFITS And ADVANTAGES Of Knowing
The BENEFITS of confessing,
To having less and becoming honest with oneself...
When addressing this in complete truthfulness,
Quickly eliminates a need to numb and medicate stress...
To free a mind accepting,
Time for them has come to set aside expectations.
And the ADVANTAGES of knowing,
There are limits to one can stretch to feed wants...
Seems to leave no mental or emotional affects to protect.
Like those who experience worrying themselves to death,
As to how to maintain false images obtained...
Jeopardizing dignity AND a loss of self respect.
Yes...
The BENEFITS And ADVANTAGES Of Knowing,
For those aware and prepared for this...
Can be cost effective.

Rhyme
So quickly you jump into my words
and from being small
you change words like a magical wand,
you appear unexpectedly in every sentence
as if I do not know from where you do originate
before I can even give other details,
so quickly you jump into my words
and from being small
before I can reflect on it
you are already working
sometimes sophisticated and correct or rather blunt
you want to conquer lines, want to conquer all of my verses
so quickly you jump into my words.

In Our Small Way
Refrain
Maybe you and I cant do great things
We may not change the world in one day
But we still can change some things today...
In our small way
Empty words are not enough
Where theres hurt well be a crush
When theres thirst well fill each others cup
Because we care we love enough to share
Refrain
Maybe you and I cant do great things
We may not change the world in one day
But we still can change some things today...
In our small way
In despair well be the hope
And the prayer that frees the soul
Well be there to share each lonely road
Because we love, I know
We care enough
Refrain
Maybe you and I cant do great things
We may not change the world in one day
But we still can change some things today...
In our small way
Just a little time is all it takes
What a difference just a smile can make, youll see
Love is all we need
Refrain
Maybe you and I cant do great things
We may not change the world in one day
But we still can change some things today...
In our small way

Undone To Undo
Undone to undo...
Those passionate insights.
Individuality disconnected,
To a symbolic way of life.
Undone to undo...
Questions and curiousity.
Freedom to disconnect...
From a torn and decadent society.
Undone to undo...
Truth and honesty.
A rise in higher consciousness,
That allows eyes wide open that see.
Undone to undo...
Facts and nonfiction.
To restrict convictions.
Undone to undo...
Influence that speaks,
To those poor and meek...
Reaching to strengthen,
Identities that seek...
A reality that teaches,
Shackles are for the sheep...
Heading for mutilation.
And a mindless humanity!
Undone to undo...
You and I.
And all good deeds pursued,
We attempt to do.
Undone to undo...
But intervention,
Prevents it.
Intervention prevents it.
Intervention prevents it.
An intervention,
Prevents it.
And dimensions,
Diminish.

We Each Perceive From a Different Point of View
We walk on paths that have separate purposes
You say I have written too many poems,
And the reading of them,
Prevents you to keep up.
My rebuttal to that is this...
I keep no thoughts or opinions,
Set aside for anyone to keep a pace.
Or decide to wait in a hesitation they may take.
I would like for you to read what it is I produce.
But do you have the patience to delay your dreams...
To approve each one accomplished that gets done.
Then without an energy you provide yourself...
You must maintain a motivation,
No one comes to give with such devoted dedication.
You say I have written too many poems,
And the reading of them,
Prevents you to keep up.
Well...
I must say I am flattered.
However,
I do believe...
We walk on paths that have separate purposes.
With a calling to different missions.
And we each perceive from a different point of view.
Perhaps that's why the topics of my writings,
Keeps you reviewing them...
More than leaving is a wish for you to do!

Small Conversation
You swore the conversation was small,
Depths of desire were huge.
In a flash there was a crossing of the canyon,
The next visitor neared.
His depth of understanding and harmony
Became like no other man.
The climb of a mountain was before us,
To gain altitude quickly was a shame.
The climbing conversation was an argument
So I swear the beginning of this was meant to be small.

Too Quickly (Cavatina)
Too quickly you are gone like a wilting
small daffodil
that will never again rise up in spring,
that on a hill
faded quite slowly in its sheer beauty,
that never will
come to life again, as its life is spent,
far too quickly from me away you went.

Perhaps Especially In Old Age/How Happiness Comes Suddenly From Such Small Things
PERHAPS ESPECIALLY IN OLD AGE/HOW HAPPINESS COMES SUDDENLY FROM SUCH SMALL THINGS
Perhaps especially in old age,
How happiness comes suddenly from such small things-
The surprising sight of glistening leaves,
A shaft of sunlight on a cold morning,
The sky opening up after the rain-
Small perceptions and deep feelings
Happiness from such small things
even in old age.

Occhi Verde
Love, love, love
my dear, don't blush
look me in the eye
and say that.
Green eyes swallow many things beyond belief:
Love which prevents my answer
forbids your question.
Don't fidgit, dear, stand still.
Don't blush, don't go dumb.
Green eyes drown many uncertainties.
Confess the small crimes with heart-felt rue.
Let the big ones speak for themselves.

Different Names
My names differ in the way they are told,
Goals for eternity are these names for some;
What power prevents me from being aware
Of faint thoughts about naming and telling?
My soul prevents other souls from growing,
Stuck into stability, the heart I wear grows;
For he now makes me a slave of thinking,
My feasting is different from his, the man with growth.
I have solutions for the problems of slavery,
Yet I need freedom to become an experience.

It's kind of true, you do disappear off the planet if you are a middle-aged woman, but that has some advantages as well. Because too much of my life was spent waiting to be seen. Hoping to be seen, hoping to be picked. Once you realize that you aren't looked at that way any more, other things start to happen and you have to depend on other things to get by.
