I am beginning to have a healthy dread of possessions, be it of a country, a house, a being or even an idea. If we are bothered by possessions we cannot really live either from without or from within; we are the possession of our possessions. All wars and most loves come from the possessive instinct. Why grab possessions like thieves, or divide them like socialists when you can ignore them like wise men: that you may belong to everything and everything be yours inclusive of yourself. Could we, and we can, have the vital necessities for all, we should do away with this cry of class and begin to differentiate between individuals.

Set The Fire!
tear down the house!
throw all of your possessions
on the pile...
the possessions that owned you!
all of your memories,
your prejudices, your acts of
vengeance and greed...
all the things you think you needed...
your rights, your wrongs,
your halo, your guns...
your patriotism, your pride,
and the doors you locked...
all on the pile,
without looking back...
set the fire!

People who get through life dependent on other people's possessions are always the first to lecture you on how little possessions count.
Greed
How much do you really want?
If you had it would it really solve your problems?
Do you realise the pain it causes
Struggling for something you may never get
How much would you sacrifice if I told you I could change your life?
You don't have to take on my advice
Don't do something that you might regret
How much do you really need?
Is it justified or is it greed?
If you satisfy your vanity
If you get to where you think you wanna go
How much is it gonna take?
Will you see it through or will you break?
Cos in the end what will you have to show?
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
How much do you really feel?
Can you recognise when something's real?
Do you live your life by fake ideals?
Do you think that one day you will get the chance?
What happens if you don't achieve
Will it be enough if you believe
You can just rely on destiny
Don't you know your fate is in your hands
How much is enough for you?
When you reach the top what will you do?
Will you look around for something new?
Without the destination will you carry on?
Will you try day after day
Pretend you don't hear what they say?
What would you do if all your pride was gone?
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Cos material possessions ain't the world
(Ain't the world)
Nobody ever bought you happiness with diamonds or pearls
(Diamonds or pearls)
You've gotta look at this for what they really are
(What they really are)
Or you'll find yourself wanting more
Going way too far
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
When all you have are your possessions
Greed becomes your main obsession
Just take it slowly
If what you want ain't what you need
You've become a victim of your greed
Life can be lonely
Just take it slowly...

Intensity Of Passion Desires
people only steal
possessions trinkets
they value want
perhaps intensity
of passion desires
is too much to resist
yet had they asked
their hearts desires
in time would
oft be freely given
sadly possessions
held lose allure values

News Report
Only one person survived the attack,
when three black men with machineguns
killed the farmer, screaming loudly: “come here you bitch, ”
bursting into the house, kicking her, stripping her clothes off
and they acted as if totally insane.
On the floor she was tied up tightly
where they raped her, shouting: “you Boor whore.”
In the hospital she cried without end,
could hardly face reporters for the interview,
are without her possessions, husband and country and feels dirty.
She will never forget the black rapists,
even when praying to God,
as long as the killers still are alive,
there’s something burning in her like festering wounds
and only a grave is left to the honour of her husband,
in thoughts she is again swept away,
it feels as if every black man is watching her,
nothing can be trade for the life of her husband,
she strongly considers selling the farm,
are without her possessions, husband and country and feels dirty.
In her thoughts she lives through it again
with fear for a sexual disease or sores,
at night suddenly get awake shivering,
out of superstition even avoids ladders,
sometimes falls asleep in her pink underwear,
hear branches rustle, a dove cooing,
it feels as if someone wants to silence her,
she wants to hide from the whole world,
totally apathetic feeds the cattle green fodder,
are without her possessions,
husband and country and feels dirty.
l’Envoi
but the community is deeply moved by her,
they want to capture and abduct the criminals,
believe that terrorists are lurking on farms,
but she doesn’t want to mention this matter again,
are without her possessions, husband and country and feels dirty.

Driven To Madness
No matter where one goes.
Or language one speaks...
With or without an ethnic heritage,
To proclaim!
There is going to be a gratification sought,
To satisfy.
Human beings have a tendency,
To denounce their animalistic cravings...
As unnatural.
Confessing...
They have 'sins', flaws and other blemishes.
And yet attempt to escape from their insecurities...
Through games of conflict.
And the obsession they impose upon themselves,
To obtain possessions.
Only to rid themselves of possessions...
To be lured and tempted to seek physical gratifications,
To satisfy.
And driven to madness,
If denied!

The fish and I will chat
Sometime it swims right up to the glass
as if it would talk with me –
opens its mouth, fixes me with a watery eye;
a moment when we can exchange silent thoughts,
about whether it’s better to be confined
in a tank, but free of all possessions,
compared with the freedom to acquire
so many possessions; or which of us
dislikes the more, a dentist’s waiting room..
nod and smile to know we both share
that joke about the fish in the water
never being thirsty; swimming in what
we take for granted; like, say, grace, or God..
so the fish flips its tail, is off; both of us
in agreement about freedom, meditation.

A Thief May Steal Irreplaceable Possessions
A thief
is a man
woman
child
in need
who may steal
more than
your possessions.
He She may steal
your time moment
which is irreplaceable.
He She may offer
nothing except
his her naked need
to take possess
steal while offering
no sincerity
trust loyalty
friendship faith joy
or inspiration.
Only the naked need
to covert corrupt
ridicule manipulate
that cannot share
give uplift
or honour anything
except a thief
more cunning
exploiting
or blatant
than himself
herself.
A thief may steal
irreplaceable possessions
character thoughts
harmony sanity of mind.

What Are True Riches?
Gold Finances Possessions
are not true wealth.
Give them to a dog the dog
does not care.
Food Food matters
to the dog.
The dog wants to eat
as do
the starving millions.
Gold Money Possessions
we cannot eat them.
Wise words of inspiration
focused wisdom
can change and enrich society.
A country without art
an appreciation
of what great civilizations
have said through art
is not worth living in.
What of the third world?
The topic cries for attention.
It is not pompous vanity
that divides nations.
Policies of the IMF are deliberate
it is deliberate
calculated greed and indifference.
The price the environment
and poor
people of this planet have paid
is soon evidently...
going to haunt us.
The amazingly thing is
world powers
are deliberately inflicting...
this suffering upon other nations.
The technology resources
and money needed
to resolve these issues...
was available.
Superpowers would rather
rule a rubbish heap
than share a paradise earth.

Up By Two Possessions
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
You can't let moss grow under your feet!
And keep...
A winning told.
You can't stay satisfied and sleep!
And keep...
That winning bold.
You must push alibis aside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And sacrifice with a drive inside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.
Up by two possessions,

There are people
There are people
that claims the street as their own
and stand
at parking places on the sidewalk
and do no work
but to look after cars.
If you park there
and ignore them
and do not
want to use their services
you immediately
become a racist in their eyes
and they will make a scene,
threaten to damage your car,
or make sure that it’s stolen
or so they tell you
since they believe
that you owe them something.
Some spray soapy water
without invitation
on the front window
of your car
when you stop
at a traffic light
and wipe it off
demanding a price.
I wonder why the education
is still lacking
since they have already
got their liberation
and just as odd
these people are ignored
by their compatriots in government
as if they do not exist,
while the country
falls slowly
but surely to pieces.
There are people
that claims the possessions
of others as their own
and at night
prowl around in the streets
shooting, stabbing
and robbing
and estranging people
from their cars.
l’Envoi
Still I wonder where
the problem lies
and would really like
both of my cars back
and I do not know
about white people
that sneak around
in black neighbourhoods at night,
hijack cars,
brake windows
and demand possessions
with loaded guns.
All that they do,
is try to make a living
or hurry away in their leaving.
