You cannot spend your way out of recession or borrow your way out of debt.

This recession is the deepest in our lifetimes, the deepest since 1929. If you take the people thrown out of work in the 1982 recession, the 1991 recession, the 2001 recession, not only is this bigger, this is bigger than all of those combined.

Don't borrow from a baby-boomer, if you borrow, don't spend it.
Over Now
Good night...
Yeah, its over now, but I can breathe somehow
When its all worn out, Id rather go without
You know its been on my mind
Could you stand right there
Look me straight in the eye and say
That its over now
We pay our debt sometime
Well its over now, yet I can see somehow
When its all gone wrong, its hard to be so strong
You know its been on my mind
Could you stand right there
Look me straight in the eye and say
That its over now
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
Guess its over now, I seem alive somehow
When its out of sight, just wait and do your time
You know its been on my mind
Could I stand right here
Look myself in the eye and say
That its over now
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime

My Cancellation
I cancel my debt to the school of law,
This I do by making a promise to my grandpa:
Reside in jail and spend a war
For those who sin and win what you are.
This debt I can cancel resides in my head,
And I want my jail and number, the bed.
We see the problems of law, and we see them then,
Yet what life does this law bring when it is again.

I personally believe that there's going to be a good case for the government preserving some type of guarantee to make sure that people have the ability to borrow to finance a house even in a very damaging recession. I think there's going to be a good case for that.

When I Borrow
I borrow some blue from the sky,
Pour them on my sadness
And living becomes joy!
I borrow some laughter from the spring,
Rub them over my face
And returns my happiness!
I borrow a little of the tree's selflessness
Plant them in my heart
And living becomes caring for others!
I borrow some radiance of the sun,
Store them in my eyes
And all darkness is illumined!

In the immediate postwar years, the whole of Europe was in a recession. So first of all, it helped us step out of a recession; it gave a certain amount of speed to the economy. But that was the first step.

If there's a severe recession, the automatic stabilizers will come into effect, and we will still try to reduce the structural deficit, but we will not try to keep cutting the budget so that we keep worsening a severe recession.

Remembering Grandpa
grandpa was strict
i remember
for a Red Cross Donation
that i asked from him
and which he considers
as my debt
he did not forget
to remind me and
thus collect
i was then 12 and he
was 60
i was disappointed but
he did not mind
a debt is a debt and must
be paid
the years may have buried
him for good
but the memory of a debt
paid still lingers
the numbers are clear
as always
some words may have faded
but the feeling
sticks like a scar
in my face....

Long live the Recession
The steel factory has
stopped to gorge iron ore
Coz due to recession
demand is no more.
Peace of barren mine
Undisturbed by a human kind
Beckons new birds and kine
To stay, populate and dine.
Flowers and Plants flourish
Younglings and saplings are nourished
The beheaded trees bloom
And crazy cuckoos croon
A young bird is building
a nest in the deserted house,
To please and cheer his
expectant spouse.
Far away a flamboyant bird twits,
“Mr.Recession is dead”
Other birds chirp
“Long live the Recession”.

He Panders to Europeans
They make claims he's an opportunist!
And he panders to Europeans.
Those who own New York City, Los Angeles
Chicago, New Orleans and every city in between.
The ones who own the debt...
And set aside more loans to borrow!
The ones collecting outsourced jobs,
To leave many left in sorrow.
The ones who dictate policy...
That feeds lobbyistic greed!
The ones with financial backing,
From movies seen to mobile phones...
With their distinctive rings,
And other play things!
The ones pandered to who spend vacations,
From Cape Cod, Pebble Beach to the Florida keys!
Then ones who police their shores,
Who themselves are foreign.
Making sure their imports,
Are more than exported!
The ones who build cars they drive,
Because they are better made!
And they accuse him of pandering to them,
While those in debt up to their ears...
Give him on his home turf,
Their reasons to snub him with distain and shade!
However...
He never once stated,
Those he wishes to lead out of darkness...
Aren't capable of being the greatest.
Claims to this they make!
And he never once stated their quality of life...
Is nearing the brink and about to break!
And he never once slighted their heritage at all.
Or answered questions why he is best qualified,
To represent their European traditions...
On a land they confiscated,
To enhance their European ways...
Barely thriving to keep their delusions alive!

Shehanu
Tomorrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.
Morrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.
Then comes tomorrow for your sorrow!
And like the Egyptian Obelisk;
But, your love is unsurpassed.
Pressure, sure, pure, jure, sure, lure, cure;
And from the things to come!
But, i am Shehanu in your neighbourhood.

Right now, a majority of the debt is owed to foreign interests, Japan being the largest purchaser of government debt today, soon to be surpassed by China as the number one purchaser of our debt in this Nation.
Audacity of Hope
When the recession of opportunities
Knock downs, towns and cities;
When the flood of tension
Hits alike, huts and mansions;
When anxiety tortures life’s moments
And men wallows in teary torments;
When life is anything but easy
And only head shrinkers seems busy
Then, oh! Men
It is time to stand still
As ancient hills
of indomitable will
Which braves
Fiery storms
And wintry chills:
And your audacious hope
Should strive to climb
steep recession’s slope,
tightly holding
divine grace’s rope
Till in boom
The flood of recession wanes
Clouds of opportunities rains
And mad lives again becomes sane.

My Question to Alan Greenspan and Ben Bernanke
When banks went bankrupt, to bail them out
The government gave them a cushy handout
When the rest of economy went to recession
The government tried to make a good impression
It printed trillions of fiat money
To rescue all friends of the Easter Bunny
To provide the necessary wherewithal
To spend its way out of the hole
The politicians were not aware
While they built the bridges that lead to nowhere
That money is also a finite resource
They had good intentions: for better or for worse
Inflation and taxes beyond any doubt
Caused my retirement fund wipe out
My finances were trapped, I couldn’t get any cash
When stocks and bonds have turned into trash
I was paying my mortgage & credit card debt
I spent money wisely, my expenses were capped
With banks in default, the dollar’s inflating
I still retain 5-star credit rating
Hey, Mr.Bernanke and Mr.Greenspan
Something is wrong with your genius plan
Would you, please, tell me, whose fault is that -
People are suffering and banksters are fat?

I mean, the reality is unemployment today - over 14 million Americans are unemployed. That's exactly what it was a year ago. I mean, this - the American people know we can't borrow and spend and bail our way back to a growing economy.
