When I Borrow

I borrow some blue from the sky,
Pour them on my sadness
And living becomes joy!
I borrow some laughter from the spring,
Rub them over my face
And returns my happiness!
I borrow a little of the tree's selflessness
Plant them in my heart
And living becomes caring for others!
I borrow some radiance of the sun,
Store them in my eyes
And all darkness is illumined!

Shehanu

Tomorrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.

Morrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.

Then comes tomorrow for your sorrow!
And like the Egyptian Obelisk;
But, your love is unsurpassed.

Pressure, sure, pure, jure, sure, lure, cure;
And from the things to come!
But, i am Shehanu in your neighbourhood.

Not To Temporary Borrow

What is it you are here to prove?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
And,
What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
Untold?
With a telling of a version,
You hope gets sold.

The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!

What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
Well...
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is sustained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and remains unchanged.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!

042611I caught between edges

would you buy a car from
your friend so he can get
rid of high dollar payment?
or just say ' i can't afford'
would i have a thought he
would borrow it sometime

i won't subject myself to
questions 'that's... car? '
or worst 'did you borrow? '
i'm in this situation, tough
my only alibi is i have a car
maybe you have better one

Four Seasons

Maple leaves of yesterday
Rainbow leaves of morrow
Autumn strolls on its way
Time it fails to borrow.

Ice crystals of yesterday
Snow flowers of morrow
Winter roves on a dray
Time it fails to borrow.

Oak leaves of yesterday
Verdant leaves of morrow
April flows into May
Time it fails to borrow.

Blue blossoms of yesterday
Forget-me-not of morrow
Summer rides a railway
Love overcomes sorrow.

A poet ought not to pick nature's pocket. Let him borrow, and so borrow as to repay by the very act of borrowing. Examine nature accurately, but write from recollection, and trust more to the imagination than the memory.

Always Tomorrow

There's always tomorrow
when you feel like giving up,
and from another day, you can borrow.

When sorrows come your way,
so confused that,
it makes you sway.

Always someone worse than you,
today may be depressing,
but tomorrow will be brand new.

Time heals all wounds,
each day will get better,
and you'll see many moons.

There's always tomorrow,
so don't give up,
and you'll another day borrow.

Ex-Lovers (a found poem*, October,2012)

Borrow my allergies
uptight
as we ate grape
fruits and pinned
numb-
ers-long

Borrow my parts
grandmothers;

Sort out my bank account
sort out my bank account
ridiculously&surely
borrow me
without
an
interest
rate.
Without
love.
Without
the smallest
amount of time
without
posession&thought
Sort out my eye-blink
and piles of money
& messages-
Unpin your palms
to
me.
Unpin your palms
to
me.
And please:

Log off
without
reading
my
in-
box
without
boxing
me
out-
of:
your lipped in a secret alley:
fists.

Sail Away

If youre driftin on an empty ocean
With no wind to fill your sail,
The future, your horizon,
Its like searchin for the holy grail.
You feel theres no tomorrow
As you look into the water below.
Its only your reflection
And you still aint got no place to go.
Time will show,
When, I dont know.
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
Ill be there someday
Oh, woman, I keep returnin
To sing the same old song.
The storys been told, now Im gettin old.
Tell me,where do I belong?
Feel like Im goin to surrender,
Nard times Ive had enough.
If I could find a place to hide my face,
I believe, I could get back up.
Time will show,
When, I dont know.
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday

Who Can I Turn To

(bricusse / newley)
Who can I turn to
When nobody needs me?
My heart wants to know
And so I must go
Where destiny leads me
With no star to guide me
And no-one beside me
Ill go on my way
And after the day
The darkness will hide me
And maybe tomorrow
Ill find what Im after
Ill throw off my sorrow
Beg, steal or borrow
My share of laughter
With you I could learn to
With you on a new day
But who can I turn to if you turn away?
Oh, oh, yeah
With no star to guide me
And nobody beside me
Ill go on my way and after the day
The darkness will hide me
And maybe tomorrow
Im gonna find what Im after
Ill throw off my sorrow
Beg, steal or borrow
My share of laughter
With you I could learn to
Oh, with you on a new day
But who can I turn to if you turn away?

Sampson

You are the son of my sorrow! !
So, tomorrow i will borrow to satisfy your muse;
For, the arrows of hatred are now aiming at me.

A drink offering,
A pillar of stone,
With the fruitfulness of the laws on my affliction;
But, my love is now buried under this great tree.

Oh Sampson! !
To live in love, peace and unity;
But, you are the son of my sorrow,
And now, i have to borrow to satisfy you tomorrow.

Surprise in Japan - The woman next door

a japanese woman
becomes our friend
then asks to borrow money

our apartment
an old couple before us
took their own lives

We were really surprised by a middle age Japanese woman who came over to borrow money from us, students. Though Japan is an economic power, life is not so rosy as thought to be as the cost of living is extemely high. Most people in Tokyo cannot afford to own their houses. An old couple who lived in our apartment earlier committed suicide because of financial woes.

Sistamamalover

I've gone from talkin' to walkin'
You touch me deep down inside
Oh can't you see that I'm fallin'
And I can no longer hide
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
When I get up in the morning ( When I get up in the morning )
I feel like I'm so alive (Feel so alive)
With you it never gets boring (Hmm hmm that's right)
'Cause you always get me high (Get me high)
High
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
I'll never go with another
'Cause baby you are so fly (You know you're fly)
Don't have to live undercover (That's right)
Because I don't have to lie (I don't have to lie baby)
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
You are my everything (My everything!)
My sistamamalover (Sistermama...lover!)
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you (And when I think of you)
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby (I'll always love you)

A sister

A sister is

a shoulder to borrow
an ear to bend
clothes to borrow
money to lend

friday night movies
afternoon walks
being together
girly private talks

mending eachothers hearts
crying those tears
planning our future
voicing our fears

our memories together
will never end
not only are you my sister
your my best friend
and to us there will never be an end x x

The Voices

Voice speaks every words.
Voice is within.
Give me voice.

Voices of sorrows.
Makes me something to borrow.

Which will make common sense.

A Little Bit Of Soul

What would you be if you weren't an animal?
Who would you eat if you were a cannibal?
Where do we go when our evolution is done?
You're going home, you're tired of incident
Kicked in the head by a nasty accident
One with only half opposable thumbs
Give me mine is what we're told
When all we need's a little bit of soul
Give it up and give away
It's only yours to borrow anyway
What will you have when there's nothing left to take?
Who will you hit when there's no one left to hate?
Where will you go when you're going out on your own?
We're all born in total ignorance
Perfect as a happy accident
Lose yourself, see how far you can go
Give me silver, give me gold
But all we need's a little bit of soul
Give it up and give away
It's only yours to borrow anyway
Give me mine is what we're told
When all we need's a little bit of soul
Give it up and give away
It's only yours to borrow anyway
What would you be if you weren't an animal?
Who would you eat if you were a cannibal?
Where do we go when our evolution is done?

Natural Light

There is nothing wrong in seeing life,
From your perspective and point of view.
That has never been a question I presented to you.
I just have questions why you should have a need,
To constantly borrow my flashlight.
By now your decision to live in darkness,
Seems to be something you are not familiar with.
Or one you are trying to pretend,
Makes more sense than the one I have chosen.
The one I am comfortable in.

And I am to be convinced...
Your way of life is right and envied?
And for you makes tremendous sense?
And you tell me I'm the one in need of therapy?

If I am going to have shadows around me...
The sun is going to be above.
Natural light.
Nothing I need to borrow.
Or discuss its value...
As I stumble around to find my way.
I've done that.
Charading then in masquerade.
No one could tell me I was not fabulous.
A breath of fresh air.
But the staleness of my routine helped me to awaken.
You still have not arrived.
And that's okay.
Either you will...
Or you will kill yourself!

Come Ye Heavy States Of Night

Come ye heavy states of night,
Do my father's spirit right,
Soundings baleful let me borrow,
Burthening my song with sorrow.
Come sorrow come her eyes that sings,
By thee are turned into springs.

Come you virgins of the night,
That in dirges sad delight,
Choir my anthems, I do borrow
Gold nor pearl, but sounds of sorrow:
Come sorrow come her eyes that sings,
By thee are turned into springs.
