Ostensibly rigorous and realistic, contemporary conservatism is an ideology of denial. Its symbol is a smile button.

Conservatism has had from its inception vigorously positive, intellectually rigorous agenda and thinking. That agenda should have in my three pillars: strengthen the economy, strengthen our security, and strengthen our families.

I believe that this is the key, the principle itself is the key to conservatism. Because in many ways if you do not have a principled base you do not have policy and if you do not have policy in many ways you do not have an ideology.

Conservatism
Conservatism is the process
That admits not anything first.
Religions are kept alive
Solely on conservatism.

We are on the lookout for criminal and terrorist activity but we do not - nor will we ever - monitor ideology or political beliefs. We take seriously our responsibility to protect the civil rights and liberties of the American people, including subjecting our activities to rigorous oversight from numerous internal and external sources.

Being Annoyed
Being optimistic sometimes isn't realistic,
When...
You know what it's like,
Having every button you have pushed.
And you know what it's like,
Being tested to the very limit.
You know what it's like,
Trying to keep your senses and your wits.
And...
You know what it's like,
Trying to keep yourself from getting bitter.
You know what that's like,
Being annoyed.
Yes,
You know what it's like...
Being annoyed

The Elusive Smile
I'm trying to find that smile
The one I haven't seen in a while
That smile that I now can only see in dreams
The smile that never came to my screams
It got me through the rough times
It was all I could see sometimes
The smile I saw at your door
The symbol of you I adore
The smile is out there
And I hope everything plays out fair
And all my efforts are worthwhile
So I can once again see your smile
It's Not Realistic
It's not realistic,
That everyone can live so posh.
To be massaged and sit in spas.
Or fly in private jets.
Nibbling on petite fours,
And the best of caviar.
It is not realistic,
Everyone can be a 'star'.
Followed by an entourage.
Or rush quickly to a chauffeur driven,
Corniche Rolls Royce car.
Parked outside of the Ritz Hotel.
No.
It isn't realistic,
To have someone shop for them.
While they pop champagne,
To dropp a big tip after eating something exquisite.
As adorning fans watch.
From behind guards who block,
Closer approaches.
It's.
Just not for everyone,
Realistic.
Even for those wishing,
As they sit on a dock fishing..
For Tuna in the Ozarks.

We have among us a class of mammon worshippers, whose one test of conservatism or radicalism is the attitude one takes with respect to accumulated wealth. Whatever tends to preserve the wealth of the wealthy is called conservatism, and whatever favors anything else, no matter what is called socialism.

Denial Is My River
Denial is a river I know so well
For it flows deep in my veins.
It's my partner when lonely,
Defender in conflict and doctor for my pains.
This river of tears cleanses my ears
So I can hear what I need.
It's current sucks under those who wonder
And all who've disagreed.
With denial I can defend myself
Against each who seems a fool.
For theirs is the problem, the error,
The fault and I'm the one to rule.
Waves of denial splash at my face
Forcing a flaccid smile.
Torrents of liquid numb my space.
Then nothing hurts for a while.
Denial is my river. It serves me well.
It's the only refuge I've found.
Though my greatest fear while swimming here
Is that who I was has drowned.

Elevator
I can't change the past for no one has found the rewind button yet.
I can't take back my pain or catch myself from falling again.
For the net to catch myself before isn't there,
But I can change what I fall into and what button I press.
For the press of one button can change everything.
So lets see what the up button will do.
I may get stuck for a while or fall to the floor due to a sudden stop,
But this time the button is up and I will be falling into a net of hope.

Compulsion 6
you say you will not do it
never again
this sickness this sickening thing
inside you
you smile
you breathe
your stomach begins to deliver a speech
this cannot be
denial, denial, denial of the natural color of your hair
one that blends
with your skin
one that speaks the words that your tongue
has been keeping
the one that you hide
and pretend it is not there
it grows
and becomes big and so visible
you knife it out
never shall it heal
this wound this life
this is what you are
and ever shall be
forever, and yet you keep it hidden
funny, because they are all seeing it
and speaking about it
it seems, you are the only one
mute, deaf, blind and so dumb

Conservatism
Conservatism’s ideology
Is static. For that reason, everything
It touches stagnates and thus decays.
We live in a universe that expands:
Dynamic, and ever characterized
By firm continuous change-alive.
Conservatives, stuck in traditions,
Unable, feckless slaves of status quo
Impede advancement for those souls in need.
Those at the top espouse unwritten laws
That favor power, wealth and selfishly
Retain these hieratic gifts bequeathed
By past idolized idealist fops
Who gained their prominence on backs of men.

Art of Symbol
Whether meaningful, or just beautiful
Whether easy to understand, whether full of mystery
A simply shape, or a detailed design
Symbol is created
From nature, from imagination
From dream, from experience
Whether adaptable, whether unchanged
Symbol is taken
For secrecy, for practical
The color, the code
To unite, to protect
Symbol is used
God's sign, devil's mark
Good luck, bad omen
A clear help, or a hidden warning
Symbol is interpreted
