Since I'm a mother and a wife, I have to have passion or the frustration would win out. But I love managing people. The product is second to managing the people. And marketing to consumers is so challenging because it is evolving constantly.

Many people worry so much about managing their careers, but rarely spend half that much energy managing their LIVES. I want to make my life, not just my job, the best it can be. The rest will work itself out.

If you look to lead, invest at least 40% of your time managing yourself - your ethics, character, principles, purpose, motivation, and conduct. Invest at least 30% managing those with authority over you, and 15% managing your peers.
We need to start looking at having a way of managing the whole ecosystem, because you can't pick away at it piece by piece, you have to truly start being coordinated and managing our resources as a system. We haven't gotten to that point yet.

What I find very interesting about the mutual funds managers is that here are people who are the new masters of the universe. They're managing billions, yet they're subject to this quiet daily tyranny of numbers.

If something strikes me as really funny, very intriguing or really touching, then I just go and do it. It's never about managing my career in a way that this would be a good move. I have enough people telling me what to do, so I think that when I read something, if I admire the writing and who's directing it, I just go for it.

Managing change
Managing change
Change is inevitable. But how well we manage changes. Often we find it difficult to cope with the change and waste our precious time in pondering over the pleasantries of the past.
We must understand, why at all a change occurred. Necessity, scarce
resources, new environment, updated facilities, etc. bring out changes.
We step in a changed environ without even a hint of the same. The best advice would be to ever be prepared for changes, favourable or otherwise. Let wisdom descend on us to appreciate and enjoy the ever changing colours of the people, places and others of this living space.
Managing change involves assessing the extent and nature of the change. It is essential to assess the gains and losses of a change, so that we get a balance. We need also to know the beneficiaries of a change and others, who may lose some privileges.
We should have the tact to monitor the impact of the change so that
unacceptable deviations are rectified then and there, by effectively
controlling the impact of the change.
We need also the courage to accept the change, even if the impact of a change is uncomfortable

And service-provider
Everyone loves beautiful thing
So the packaging of products
Must be eye-catching
Advertisement
Should be in such an way
So that the potential consumers
Are attracted
To the product or service
Quality of the product or service
Should be of international standard
So that it can survive

A accountant at a transport company
Figures on paper glare at me
with the sun hanging bright in a blue sky,
while busses and lories drive past the whole time.
Outside vehicles are parked in rows and shine
and drivers walk about talking
where we are camped in, behind rusting wire and zinc.
When the managing director looks in he wants
me to make changes, to do an act of fraud.
Figures on paper glare at me
with a bonus waving,
and my name, my integrity is at stake
and drivers walk about talking
and I wonder how to get out of this trap
when I catch the eye of the managing director’s charming daughter
while busses and lories drive past the whole time.
I again check calculations, re-determine and add
and I keep things correct
and my name, my integrity is at stake.
The managing director wants the final figures,
he makes threats and his temper is just under control.
Figures on paper glare at me
while I complete the financial statements
and thousands of things go through my mind
and I keep things correct
and the day rushes past
the managing director’s daughter winks at me, walks down the passage
while busses and lories drive past the whole time,
sirens are ringing in the distance and the wall-clock ticks off the last minutes
and I know that I can loose my job
and thousands of things go through my mind
when the girl walks in with eyes cutting into my soul,
say that her dad is waiting and I feel like caught in web.
Figures on paper glare at me
while busses and lories drive past the whole time
and I hear excited voices in the managing director’s office.
Outside vehicles are parked in rows and shine
and I know that I can loose my job,
where we are camped in, behind rusting wire and zinc.

Watching Strangers, Watching Me
Wondering what people think of me
Pondering what goes through their minds
When they turn and look at me
Their expressions of all ilk and kinds
Most likely the same as I wonder of them
Do they care if they’re way too fat
Are they proud that they’re appealingly slim
Or do they even wonder about that
Do they wonder if I’m out of work
If I’m just barely managing to eke by
Do they wonder if… as they oft do themselves
If kind words and deeds, brings a tear to my eye
Do they wonder why I always carry a book
Do they ever wonder what I write in my pad
Are they perhaps comparing the way that I look
Are they wondering about the life I’ve had
Do they wonder why I’m always alone
Do they ponder the lines about my eyes
If I’ve earned each line… trying to atone
For misguided love…or mayhaps too many lies
Do they fabricate, for fun, as I oft do of them
histories of stranger’s lifes and times
Rich… exotic… bland…erotic
Stories of strangers, conjured in their minds
I wonder what people think of me
I wonder about that an awful lot
But do they actually think about me
I think most probably…not!

Anticipate the difficult by managing the easy.
For Lonely People
What can you do for lonely people?
Be strong yourself
Because
Only when you are strong
Do you have the strength
To step up
And offer help
To a lonely person.
Be strong yourself
And know
That helping a lonely person
Is the easiest
Thing you can do.
Be strong yourself
And know
That managing the lonely person
Is a task
That will also fall to you.
