If something strikes me as really funny, very intriguing or really touching, then I just go and do it. It's never about managing my career in a way that this would be a good move. I have enough people telling me what to do, so I think that when I read something, if I admire the writing and who's directing it, I just go for it.

Well, I don't really know what to write about that will make it funny.

I have friends, African American actors, who've had more of a struggle; hopefully they're starting to see some air and light now. But in my directing career, in my acting career, in my producing career, I haven't been bound by a lot of limitations. What Life Is Like
Life is good to the nice in
every way but it is dark and gloomy
with thunder and lightning storms.
That's the way it goes for the bad people
but still the sad people read sad books,
read like sad people, walk like sad people,
look like sad people and talk like sad people
but beware don't talk to the mad people
because they will blame it on you.
leave them in the corner because they may get over it
if you don't talk to them also if you talk to them they will move
but if you don't talk to them then they wan't move
and always remember they are very mad.
Happy people we all talk to them because
they are are always happy
also they listen in all the ways they can
but remember keep them that way OK.
Funny business, a woman's career the things you drop on the way up the ladder so you can move faster. You forget you'll need them again when you get back to being a woman. It's one career all females have in common, whether we like it or not being a woman. Sooner or later, we've got to work at it, no matter how many other careers we've had or wanted.
