I would love to have a photographic memory. It would come in handy with the rants I'm given on Scrubs... often on short notice!

I said, I'm on this TV show and I love doing it, but I don't want to be known always as the silly ""Scrubs"" guy... So part of me was like, You know what? Life's short. Let's go for it.

Handy Dandy
Handy dandy, controversy surrounds him
He been around the world and back again
Something in the moonlight still hounds him
Handy dandy, just like sugar and candy
Handy dandy, if every bone in his body was broken he would never admit it
He got an all girl orchestra and when he says
Strike up the band, they hit it
Handy dandy, handy dandy
Bridge #1:
You say, what are ya made of?
He says, can you repeat what you said?
Youll say, what are you afraid of?
Hell say, nothin neither live nor dead.
Handy dandy, he got a stick in his hand and a pocket full of money
He says, darling, tell me the truth, how much time I got?
She says, you got all the time in the world, honey.
Handy dandy, handy dandy
Bridge #2:
Hes got that clear crystal fountain
Hes got that soft silky skin
Hes got that fortress on the mountain
With no doors, no windows, no thieves can break in
Handy dandy, sitting with a girl named nancy in a garden feelin kind of lazy
He says, ya want a gun? Ill give you one. she says, boy, you talking crazy.
Handy dandy, just like sugar and candy
Handy dandy, pour him another brandy
Handy dandy, he got a basket of flowers and a bag full or sorrow
He finishes his drink, he gets up from the table he says,
Okay, boys, Ill see you tomorrow.
Handy dandy, handy dandy, just like sugar and candy

Your Ole Handy Man
I have to mow the lawn
And i have to wash the car
And i'd just like to know
Just who you think you are
I'm gettin' tired of wagging
That old heavy garbage can
Your woman's gettin' tired
Of being your ole handy man
I have to run your water
And i have to wash your back
And i have to scrub the tub
After you have had your bath
You're as helpless as a baby
But i love you, understand
I'm just gettin' tired
Of being your ole handy man
Your woman's gettin' tired of being your ole handy man
Now i know you've got ten fingers
But where's your helpin' hand
I've just made a decision
I've stood all i'm gonna stand
Your woman's gettin' tired of being your ole handy man
I do everything for you
You never help yourself
An' i think i'd die from shock
If you raised a hand to help
Well, i'm not gonna keep it up
That's what you got planned
Your woman's gettin' tired of being your ole handy man
Your woman's gettin' tired of being your ole handy man
Now i know you got ten fingers
But where's that helpin' hand
I've just made a decision
I've stood all i'm gonna stand
Your woman's gettin' tired of being your ole handy man

I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When this started to happen
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
I just let it begin
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The change in anythin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
When we stopped talkin'
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
We weren't letting each other in
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
That sad, sad trend
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
The beginning of the end
I'm sorry, I didn't notice
You were no longer my friend
But believe me, now I notice
And it hurts deep within
Now that I notice
I hope you'll be again

I've Come to Notice More Now
I've come to notice more now,
The falling snow.
I've come to notice more now,
A certain purpose...
I had disavowed.
I've come to notice more now,
The core of my being with more meaning.
A joy I can express...
With less emphasis on things collected.
And a happiness I always had,
But somehow did not allow.
I've come to notice more now,
I can.
I've come to notice more now,
I will!
I've come to notice more now,
My needs are basically fulfilled.
Without desire to seek approval,
Sought to identify my peace of mind!
I've come to notice more now,
Thoughts like that I have left behind.
And notice, I do...
My blessings!

I don't think I think when I play. I have a photographic memory for chords, and when I'm playing, the right chords appear in my mind like photographs long before I get to them.

Handy Man
Hey girls, gather round
Listen to what Im putting down
Hey babe, Im your handy man
Im not the kind to use a pencil or rule
Im handy with love and Im no fool
I fix broken hearts, I know that I truly can
If your broken heart should need repair
Then Im the man to see
I whisper sweet things, you tell all your friends
Theyll come runnin to me
Here is the main thing I want to say
Im busy 24 hours a day
I fix broken hearts, I know that I truly can
Come, come, come
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Come, come, come
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Theyll come runnin to me
Thats me
Im your handy man

Show Tune II
That's the long and short of it
now you know
how I've been waiting all these years
where I'm coming from
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
just how hot hot jazz was
how it turned about, my bookcase
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you know
that my arrest record's
not my best record
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
how the Past's like a love
you can neither leave nor live
that's the long and short of it
That's the long and short of it
now you know
it was no gun in my pocket
it was a rocket
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
and you're wond'ring dear
how I kept so pure
hull, it was easy
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
now you see
so bounce your head
into bed
that's the long and short of it.
That's the long and short of it
read the blues
in these tattoos
make a song of it
that's the short and long of it.
How I wish
there was a bridge-
then I could burn it;
or the train
of a refrain
then I could board it
but there isn't
no there isn't, so...

You Ask Me If I Change
you ask me if i change
i tell you, yes i always change
don't you notice it?
some hairs on my head
are whiter now, and some
have fallen without any
sound, my wrinkles move
and they beget wrinkles
my eyes fail, my hands
tremble, my feet dwindle,
my memory of names and
places are wanting of
particulars
i change. Everything in me
changes beside you and
how can you not notice it?
i know, we are too near
and we are always together
in this familiarity where
changes are everyday and
yes, how could we not notice
all these, my dear?
you are laughing, a lock
of your hair is falling too.

Thank You for the Memory
My body tingles as I lay there still feeling your body wrapped around mine
I close my eyes and notice that there is nothing I can do but dream
For you have left me here with nothing but a memory
A memory of what we had what we were
A memory of nothing more at this time nothing to have to look forward to
My heart aches as I open my eyes and turn to see nothing but an empty bed
The scent of you makes me wonder what could have been
It makes me wonder what went so wrong
We had something that could never be replaced and not it has vanished right before my eyes
You think that the memory will be nothing more than a picture
They say “A memory will last a life time”
I say “A memory will only last a life time as long as you can keep it alive inside of your heart”
There is one thing that should be said
Thank You for the memory that will last me a lifetime of joy

Time and light and human memory
Time is revealed. Sand used to keep it in a glass vial.
Now time escapes and flies and seeks
The help of light
Takes it to space and travels so fast
To cope up with its longing
She is somewhere out there with the comets and stars
It is overtaking memory
Failing, falling short
Human forgetfulness
But there is such a fast catalyst sensing like
A magical nose
Love, passion, longing, belonging, seeking, wanting to be complete
To be perfect
Memory smells the sweat of her love
And sticks to
Faith: this is her, this is her, and there is nobody else
I cannot be mistaken there can no one else this is her
And time bends
And time stands still
As human memory begs for another meeting for another understanding
Though so short, brief,
It will be a memory of some light years
Smelling sensually sipping the sweat of someone
Somewhere now. Here. Here is forever.
Time travels so slowly with the person you love,
Light infuses, diffuses and intensifies
Pain forces forgetting, letting go what used to be important
Now everything yields, everything must go as destined.

Making Love With Memories
You poked my blurring eye,
Let me lift your mushy breast.
We aged onwards
While you stroked flaccidity –
Recalling decades of
Blood-gorged coming, shuddering to boot.
I kissed a venerable mouth
Crammed with falsities –
Once brilliant keys
Guarded by crimson lips
Washed by a sensual tongue.
And so we writhed in wrinkles,
Tiring effort, and
Memories.

The End of 'Ulysses'-a triple-barrelled limerick
'Ulysses' is a buck of a ride
Wherever you get on inside.
The end is no canter
Molly's a ranter
Stopping she cannot abide.
She rants a long distance
To Gibraltar for instance.
She's trained hard for the meet.
You can't begrudge her her feat.
But then she pulls down her pants.
And rants, on the potty no less,
Raves about Poldy's largess,
Lists bucks she's had in the sack,
Likes a Bloom tongue in her crack.
We've had a buck of a ride by her 'Yes'.

Hope And Truth
pain is not your true friend
it does not stay long
it looks for another
faithful company
that is hope
and so is happiness
that knocks once and like pain
enters your door
sits on your chair
and dines and drinks with you
but only for a while
you want it to stay some more
you pamper it with scrubs
and foot massage
a very soft bed and
a bear hug and a french kiss
it goes out without notice
flies from your window
leaving you
a certain emptiness
that is the truth.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.

Forgettin's So Long
One twenty-two fifty nine Oak Drive
Rolls off my tongue like a nursery rhyme
Wooden numbers on the front of your house
Where we fell in love
Little things they stick in my mind
Like they happened yesterday
After all this time
The way it turned out
I never would've thought
I'd remember so much
But why is my heart so weak
And my memory so strong?
Somebody give me one good reason
Love is too short
And forgettin's so long
Somewhere, someday down the road
Maybe I won't care
But when something so right goes so wrong
Love is too short and forgettin's so long
Is there anyone who would please
Tell me where's my checkbook and my car keys?
If it wasn't sewn onto my shoulders
I'da lost my head
Well there's a whole lotta things I forget to do
But I amaze myself when it comes to you
I know nothin' 'bout now
But I know plenty 'bout way back then
'Cause when I think I got it all behind me
And I'm movin' along
You're right there to remind me
Love is too short
And forgettin's so long
Somewhere, someday down the road
Maybe I won't care
But when something so right goes so worng
Love is too short and forgettin's so long

My love is a butterfly
My love's like a butterfly caged in my heart
And dashing in the darkness, searching for way out.
My love's like a butterfly with a burnt tired wings,
With a short memory, with no deadly sins.
My love's just a butterfly, it can't find the key,
But still hovers silently and wants to get free.
My love's like a butterfly with one given chance
To get out of my chest and become a romance.
But you have to help her to break out from inside,
My love is a butterfly, it can't give a fight.
Why my love is the butterfly seeking for peace?
It's unsafe fleeting life is intended for miss...
Now you know my love's butterfly, fragile, not free
You can kill it unwittingly, with just one memory.
