The Chariot
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.
We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.
We passed the school where children played,
Their lessons scarcely done;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.
We paused before a house that seemed
A swelling of the ground;
The roof was scarcely visible.
The cornice but a mound.
Since then 'tis centuries; but each
Feels shorter than the day
I first surmised the horses' heads
Were toward eternity.

Because I could not stop for Death (712)
Because I could not stop for Death--
He kindly stopped for me--
The Carriage held but just Ourselves--
And Immortality.
We slowly drove--He knew no haste
And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too,
For His Civility--
We passed the School, where Children strove
At Recess--in the Ring--
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain--
We passed the Setting Sun--
Or rather--He passed us--
The Dews drew quivering and chill--
For only Gossamer, my Gown--
My Tippet--only Tulle--
We paused before a House that seemed
A Swelling of the Ground--
The Roof was scarcely visible--
The Cornice--in the Ground--
Since then--'tis Centuries--and yet
Feels shorter than the Day
I first surmised the Horses' Heads
Were toward Eternity--

John McCain's Lament 1818 - after Emily Dickinson - Because I would not stop for Death
John McCains's Lament
Cause Sarah would not stop for B.
he put a stop to me;
elections held November 4
proved immorality.
Results flip flopped, no seats to waste,
though I had put away
both labour, Cindy's leisure too, -
ineligibility!
We'd passed town halls where voters polled
by crossing yea or nay;
passed field of hopefuls gazing gain -
who soon saw setting sun.
We'd paused before Whitehouse that seemed
A bushman's paradise,
whose roof was all too visible,
whose tenant scorned advice.
Since then seems centuries; but each
feels shorter than the day
results showed Barack far ahead,
grey Cinders left for me.
Because I could not stop for Death
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality.
We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.
We passed the school where children played
At wrestling in a ring; 10
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.

Fatal Kiss
I gathered your words from where they lay
The kiss from you was mine
and that sweet kiss that's sent from you
tommarow will turn blind
the kiss had left to wander
the image left astray
desperatley in seek to find me
and soon had found the way
Because i could not stop for it
your lips had stopped for me
our unique kiss held just itself
and immortality

Youth’s End
I HAVE held my life too high,
Spring and harvest, love and laughter, smile and sigh.
I should have held it lightly, like a young leaf rent in haste
From the willow in the waste.
A moment in my fingers; then it fluttered, then it fled,
A little flame of red,
To the God-beholding desert where the soundless years go by,–
I have held my life too high.
I have held my death too dear,
Shame or honour, peace or peril, pride or fear.
I should have held it softly, as the little cloud that flies
When the heron takes the skies.
I should have held it kindly as a passing whisper,–'Friend,
Here's the end,
Here the silver cord is loosened and the bowl is broken here,'–
But I held my death too dear.

Birth of death
Birth of death
(Stream of consciousness poetry)
This is a well thinking thought
How to control
A robot
Before inventing,
How do you cherish
The success of poetry
Before composing,
This is a well thinking thought
Of the immortality
To give the meaning
The state of being
As the creator
Can not create
The enemy of
Immortality,
Which He Himself is,
Death
Is the success
Of the game plan
Before the game
Was invented
But loophole lies
The immortality
Does not have life.
What's the pleasure
Of being an entity
Of immortality
Without taste
Of life and death!
(He Himself knows)

Can't Be Stopped
Nothing's gonna stop us
We can't be stopped
I know that it's not been easy
Trying to make it in this crazy world
People 'round you try to stop you
Stomp you saying that you don't belong
You must remember that
We were born with blood of kings and queens
And can't be stopped
Stay stronger my sister you can't be stopped
No

What We Really Are
i cannot stop
do not ask me what cannot be stopped
feel it yourself
we cannot stop we cannot be stopped
we are unceasing
energies of this limitless
universes
always transforming from one
state to another
into another place another stage
another dimension
fusing, diffusing, infusing
suffusing
never consumed
we cannot we can never stop
no one can

The Carriage
The carriage held a death for the hasty,
We slowly drove through the forest
With a demon fixed there, some mortal
Lunacy was afoot, like the offering of a lamb.
The gods were forsaking you today in the woods,
Craving for blood and flesh;
Their lessons numbered one thousand,
Twice they objected to the truth.
The carriage was gaining a thought for speed,
Grain and granules sped past with mockery,
The velocity of a tank was felt by all who were ridden,
Feeling like a successful emotion that came.
The blood and flesh remained tonight,
In this mighty head, so innocent and dry.

I Opened The Door For Death...
I Opened The Door For Death
Invited Him In Like A Guest
He Sat Across From My Soul
I Shivered From Feeling Cold
His Face Was Shadowed & Cloaked
His Expression Was Closed As He Spoke
“I’m Glad You Let Me In …”
He Said Softly, Like A Long-Lost Friend
He Said, “I Came To Bring You A Gift
Something To Make Your Spirit Lift
For You’ve Been In So Much Pain! ”
He Sympathetically Exclaimed
“But I Can Make It All Go Away
… Just Take My Hand Today”
And He Held Out A Mirage-Like Hand
It Was Pale, But Blood-Red Drops Ran …
… Along The Length Of His Fingers
and Thin, Uplifted Palm
and In It, Something Was Beating
Like A Wild-War Drum …
It Was The Heart Of Me
Beating So Tragically
Pumping So Pitifully
A Sight So Wretched To See
and When Death Slowly Squeezed
It Was Hard for Me To Breathe
and Even Harder To Believe
As Death Explained What He Needs …
“If You Are Ready To Take The Risk
I Came To Bring An Oblivion-Bliss
But First Your Heart; We’ll Crush This
and Seal-Deal With A Hopeless-Kiss …
In Return, I’ll Give You Such Peace
This World Of Worries Will Cease
Every Pain of Yours, I Will Kill
I’ll Replace It With Elysian Fields …
You’ll Lie In Dreamless-Wonder
A Sweet Sojourn of Shadows & Slumber
Soft Blades of Grass & Blossoms; Your Canopy Bed
& A Stone Mountain Guard O’er Your Head …
No More Sadness, No More Horrors
No More Turmoil & No More Tomorrows
All This I’ll Give You, It Is No Hoax …”
Death Held Out His Hand With Heart & Coaxed …
and I Wanted To Leave – I Wanted To Go
I Didn’t Care If Death Was Friend Or Foe
I Just Didn’t Care Anymore …
That’s Why I Let Death Thru The Door …
I Opened The Door For Death
He Had Come At My Request
I Wanted Desperately To Rest
From All & Every Tests
For Me, Death Was Not A Threat
Death Had, What I Could Not Get
What Death Promised, I Wanted
So Why Hesitate – Disappointed?
Only Now, I Start To Understand
The Answer: Was Held In Death’s Hand
That Pathetic Little Part Of Me
Could Not End Unless I Agree …
My Own Bleeding, Broken Heart
It Was Beaten, Yet Still Beating Hard
& The Thought Of Crushing It Out Of Existence
… I Couldn’t Do It, Not Even At Death’s Insistence
As Death Watched My Tell-Tell Face
(Death, Saw It Happened Again)
and Death Grew Very Angry
Death’s Whole Demeanor Changed
“You Wanted Me!
That’s Why I Came! ”
Death Ravaged and Raged …
and Glittered and Blamed
“You’re A Coward! ” He Hissed
“Not Worthy Of My Kiss …
Just Do It Now
… You Won’t Be Missed! ”
Death Squeezed My Heart So Cruelly
and I Wondered, ‘Did Death Lie?
Because I’d Changed My Mind
and Didn’t Want To Die? ’
“No … I Will Not Go! ” I Said
You Cannot Make Me Become Dead! ”
His Hollow Laughter Was Darkness & Dread
Where My Burial Lurked & Led …
Death Stood Back Quietly In The Room
A Terrible Silence In The Gloom
So Certain Of My Doom
His Look Said, ‘ … Soon, Real Soon ’
Death’s Cold Stare Remained Fixedly
Intent and Resolute On Me
“You Must Come With Me Now! ”
Death Ordered In Threatened Growl
Death Tossed My Heart Up For Effect
Played With It Like Some Tortured Pet
I Wouldn’t Last The Night, I Bet
Or Escape His Wrist-Thrown-Net …
“No … I Will Not Go! ” I Said
You Cannot Make Me Become Dead! ”
His Hollow Laughter Was Darkness & Dread
“What Have You Done? ” Heart Bled …
Then A Warm & Lovely Glow Appeared
Now Death’s Bold Stance Grew A-Feared
Told Death, “You Have No Power Here …
There’s No Point Waiting Near”
“Over Her, You Have No Claim
You Have No Right To Call Her Name
It’s Her Mistake, But It’s Your Shame
Ignoring Life’s Pulse-Flame
See … Her Beating Heart Is Brave! ”
See … It’s Not Ready For The Grave
She Begged For Death Or ‘ME’ To Save
I’M The Hero … Death’s The Knave!
She Wants Freedom, Not Death-Enslaved
She Wants Sky-Clouds, Not Ground-Caves
She Wants Joy-Filled Life, Not Maggot-Craves
She Wants Love In Light-Waves & Waves
and Black-Clad Death Was No Match
Not His Devious Plots Nor Coffin Pacts
and The Crushed-Heart That Death Packed?
… They Made Death Give It Back
Now That I Know What Death’s About
I Do Not Ever Choose That Route
When Door Opened With An Almighty Shout
… and GOD Told Death, ” Get Out! ”

Cinderellas Ride
Cinderellas ride
Oh Jack O'Lantern burning bright
A carriage you will be this very night
To seek you out and lay a trail
To find her love, she will not fail.
This carriage she will doubtless find,
Made by a fairy with spell to bind.
Four mice were changed to pull the thing.
She tried to teach them, but they couldn't sing.
To the castle, the carriage then will fly
Up the staircase she'll be by and by.
In a room at the top where the ball is held
Together they danced and he excelled
Danced and danced as much as they could
Ignoring all while on the hardwood
She knew of her fate should she stay too late
What godmothers create end when out on a date
She had to leave quick, said she was sick
Then ran from the prince ending this frolic
In her speed to depart, she left a small part
A little glass slipper and a piece of her heart
The prince tried and tried, but no foot could be tied
Into the glass slipper he held at his side
Until the day he went a bit astray
And placed on the foot of this lovely chambermaid
It was a fit to be tied so then at his side
Came the lovely Cinderella as they went outside
There next to his carriage was a little disparage
A Jack O Lantern and four mice ready to trudge

Held Up With Just A Stick
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick,
It seems...
Held up with just a stick,
One's head...
Held up with just a stick,
Their arms and their legs...
Needing to be fed.
And...
Held up with just a stick,
One's pride...
Held up with just a stick,
Two eyes and two ears...
Living poverty so near,
To...
Famish it is clear.
And...
Held up with just a stick,
Hunger.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And those who fight death in their sight.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Pride!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And those who fight death in their sight.
Held up with just a stick,
And...
There's no benefit to it.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Pride!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And living this is NOT a gift.
Held up with just a stick,
And...
There's no benefit to it.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.

Nothings gonna stop us

Trying to make it in this crazy world

Stomp you saying that you dont belong
You must remember that
We were born with blood of kings and queens

No, you cant be stopped
I know that sometimes
You get to feelin Ive given up on you
The pressure seems to, to defeat you
Beat you when you feel you cant go on
You must remember that
You were born with blood of kings and queens
And cant be stopped
Stay stronger my brother you cant be stopped
No, you cant be stopped
Dont ever let nobody tell you you aint strong enough
Strong enough, dont let nobody tell you you aint
Strong enough, dont let nobody tell you
You know that I will be right here
To remind you that we need
Togetherness, cause lost pride
Has no room, if you dont forget
Where you come from

The Village Atheist
Ye young debaters over the doctrine
Of the soul's immortality
I who lie here was the village atheist,
Talkative, contentious, versed in the arguments
Of the infidels.
But through a long sickness
Coughing myself to death
I read the Upanishads and the poetry of Jesus.
And they lighted a torch of hope and intuition
And desire which the Shadow,
Leading me swiftly through the caverns of darkness,
Could not extinguish.
Listen to me, ye who live in the senses
And think through the senses only:
Immortality is not a gift,
Immortality is an achievement;
And only those who strive mightily
Shall possess it.

The Comedians
(elvis costello)
I sat there alone upon the ferris wheel
A pastel colored carriage in the air
I thought youd leave me dangling for a little while
A silly twist upon a childish dare
Below I saw you whispering to another man
Who held the lever that could bring me down
Hed stop the world from turning at your command
Its always something cruel that laughter drowns
And Im up while the dawn is breaking
Even though my heart is aching
I should be drinking a toast
To absent friends
Instead of these comedians
I can hardly hear the music from the carousel
The wind picks up, the carriage starts sway
As one by one the lights go out
Its closing time
I see you take his hand and walk away walk away
They say that you will always be the last to know
They say that all that glitters is not gold
Its not just that youre never coming back to me
Its the bitter way that I was told
And Im up while the dawn is breaking
Even though my heart is aching
I should be drinking a toast
To absent friends
Instead of these comedians

Where does my mother live?
My mother breathed her last in a train.
Where does she hover after the death?
The carriage where she died,
The place where the carriage stood.
The house where her body was brought to.
The house where she was laid to rest,
The ground where she was cremated,
The house she was married to,
The house she was born in.
Or the home of her offspring
Where she is worshipped?
Or has she transmigrated?
I think she lives where she is remembered.

Daddy What If?
(Daddy what if the sun stop shinin' what would happen then?)
If the sun stopped shinin' you'd be so surprised
You'd stare at the heavens with wide open eyes
And the wind would carry your light to the skies
And the sun would start shinin' again
(Daddy what if the wind stopped blowin' what would happen then?)
If the wind stopped blowin' then the land would be dry
And your boat wouldn't sail son and your kite wouldn't fly
And the grass would see your troubles and she'd tell the wind
And the wind would start blowin' again
(But daddy what if the grass stopped growin' what would happen then?)
If the grass stopped growin' why you'd probably cry
And the ground would be watered by the tears from your eyes
And like your love for me the grass would grow so high
Yes the grass would start growin' again
(But daddy what if I stopped lovin' you what would happen then?)
If you stopped lovin' me then the grass would stop growin'
The sun would stop shinin' and the wind would stop blowin'
So you see if you wanna keep this old world a goin'
You better start lovin' me again again you better start lovin' me again
You hear me Bobby you better start lovin' me again
You love me Bobby you better start lovin' me again

Hold On
I was doomed riding on top a black horse.
Whatever prize there was I could only observe where the troubles starts.
Where does it end?
I cannot be cured...mmm...but if...
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on.
Gave her life away. Put it in my pocket when it should've been framed.
Oh lost it's shine. Gotta' get this out of my head, out of my head.
How could it end...end like this?
I could've been...
I know life would be different had I held on, held on.
I know I could've been something had I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on, held on.
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
Held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on.
