Youth’s End
I HAVE held my life too high,
Spring and harvest, love and laughter, smile and sigh.
I should have held it lightly, like a young leaf rent in haste
From the willow in the waste.
A moment in my fingers; then it fluttered, then it fled,
A little flame of red,
To the God-beholding desert where the soundless years go by,–
I have held my life too high.
I have held my death too dear,
Shame or honour, peace or peril, pride or fear.
I should have held it softly, as the little cloud that flies
When the heron takes the skies.
I should have held it kindly as a passing whisper,–'Friend,
Here's the end,
Here the silver cord is loosened and the bowl is broken here,'–
But I held my death too dear.

Hold On
I was doomed riding on top a black horse.
Whatever prize there was I could only observe where the troubles starts.
Where does it end?
I cannot be cured...mmm...but if...
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on.
Gave her life away. Put it in my pocket when it should've been framed.
Oh lost it's shine. Gotta' get this out of my head, out of my head.
How could it end...end like this?
I could've been...
I know life would be different had I held on, held on.
I know I could've been something had I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on, held on.
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
Held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on.

Held Up With Just A Stick
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick,
It seems...
Held up with just a stick,
One's head...
Held up with just a stick,
Their arms and their legs...
Needing to be fed.
And...
Held up with just a stick,
One's pride...
Held up with just a stick,
Two eyes and two ears...
Living poverty so near,
To...
Famish it is clear.
And...
Held up with just a stick,
Hunger.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And those who fight death in their sight.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Pride!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And those who fight death in their sight.
Held up with just a stick,
And...
There's no benefit to it.
Held up with just a stick,
Life!
Held up with just a stick,
Pride!
Held up with just a stick,
Blight!
And living this is NOT a gift.
Held up with just a stick,
And...
There's no benefit to it.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.
Held up with just a stick.

The Rose
In my hand I held the rose
As I would a woman dear,
Within my fingers I held it tight
As I wished it would not disappear.
From the touch, sight and beauty that I knew,
When the kiss of beauty, once had blew.
I held the rose as I would a love
As I had held in memory and thought,
And then the rose I could not let go
For the same as a lover, she became my soul.
The stem became the body and the petals became the skin,
Then I held her lightly, within the wind.
The rose held me, as I had held her
The two of us had become one
Then the act of God had prevailed that day
For he commanded the wind to take the rose away.
And towards the heavens She had flew,
As though to join the love that I once had knew.
In my hand there laid a thorn
Though to remind me of the sting of death,
So upon the Earth, I then laid the thorn
So love of life could again be reborn.
I buried the thorn as you would a dream,
Knowing never again, will it be seen.

Fall to Earth
The stubborn little Maple leaf
held on when all its fellows fled.
They carpeting the ground beneath
a vast lushscape of gold and red.
Leaf held on through wind and rain,
the last survivor of its race.
Leaf held on past Turkey day
maintaining there its pride of place.
Then Leaf grew lonely, I suppose-
Like the summer's final rose.
Leaf envied then the flakes of snow
Who fluttered past to their repose.
Then, just as winter came to call,
Leaf felt a tug and then a snap.
Flying, tumbling on the winds
Fall to Earth. Fade to black.

My Castle In The Sand
I held on tightly to my child
Tightly i held on
The waves were crashing overhead
But still i did hold on.
The waters drove us up the street
Past where friends and i would meet
Dashing down their houses
And leaving not much there
But i held yes i held on
And on my lips there was a prayer
That these torrents would not make me weak
That somehow i would find
Some calm some peace some easiness
And the earthquake left behind
I held on god i held on
To that tender little hand
She was now my sole ambition
And my castle in the sand.
I caught my breath
A hundred times
A hundred times or more
All that i was grasping was
Her clothes and nothing more.

Mulch ado about nothing?
She took a leaf from off her favourite tree
and held it to the light within her heart.
The pictures it portrayed of what may be
were sadly lacking that one vital part.
She'd hoped the leaf had held some of the two,
who'd sat beneath it's shade so many times.
She sought to see the things they'd yet to do
had they not been exposed to Kismet's crimes.
But, as the leaf was newly born this year
it held none of the essence which she sought.
It hadn't known the love, the hope, the fear.
It knew not of her calculated plot.
She watched it fall to ground, one passing thought.
She walked away, and left it, there to rot.

Un Titled Poem Of Mine, ...
Awake Once Again,
To A World of Sin.
And A Life of Strife.
Wishing To Only Be Held By You.
Thrown to The Wind,
Dust to the Sky,
Inside Something Has Died,
Wishing To Only Be Held By You.
Sleepwalking Though Dayz,
Traped in a Maze,
Monkey in a Cage.
Wishing Only To Be Held By You.
Used by all Whom one Loves,
No One Your Ever Thinking Of,
Betryed By Every Body Once Trusted,
Wishing Only To Be Held By You.
Story Told With Out One Word,
Epic Battle Never To Be Heared,
Living Seems Only to be Abserd,
Wishing Only To Be Held By You,
Only Thing That Realy Matters,
Only Concern, Only Care,
Only Reason To Stay In The Fight, ...
Is Wishing, ..
To Have A Love As You, ...

Until
You were a lovely child
And your hair was like the morning sun
And I knew we were in love
We were alone to dream a dream
We held our love that held our hearts
And who are we who knew
all there was in life and coming through
And ev'ry lonely sad mistake
Ev'ry change and interchange we make
We held our love and that held our hearts
Until

They Held Me Down
It was Sat night at the slammer the gavel was falling like a hammer
As they dragged in every freak from off the road
One by one they entered the cell and the stories that they had to tell
Were all different but all seemed to end on the very same note
They held me down and put it on my nose they even sprinkled a little bit on my clothes
Yeah I know what you're thinkin' but I ain't one of those
No they held me down and put it in my nose
This wino in the corner got up and shook himself out
He said wWell they held me down and poured it down my throat
That's what they did
They even planted the bottle in my coat anybody want some
Yeah… the reason why my pants so wet yes they pushed me off the boat
After they held me down and poured it down my throat
And this chick in the next cell she said I heard you guys talking
And let me tell you something he held me down and he put it you know where
Ohhhh… I told him I was a virgin but he didn't care noooo the pig
Ahhhh you see his wallet's in my purse what's it doing there
He held me down and put it you know where
And then this cat got up well he half got up
He lifted his head and ae said hey man hey held me down and they put it in my vein
They even held a pistol to my brain or I wouldn'ta done it
Ohhh.. these scars on my arms are where I crashed through the window pane
Tryin' to get awaaaaaaaaay when they held me down and put it in my vein
And then this cat.. a rollie-eyed cat in a raincoat and shoes
And the bottom of his pants were cut off at the knees he said
She held me down and put it in my face
Oh the disgrace
And that's the fact on which I'm gonna base my case
She was overweight and underage and we was at my place
But she held me down and put it in my face
They held me down and made me write this song

Ease Appeases With a Bit of Tease
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
Find that place,
Where you can go...
Within.
To bring outside of yourself,
A comfort shown to shine without end.
You seem to be hiding inside too much.
And not enough of you,
Is believed or known.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
First impressions,
Aren't always the best to leave.
Especially when some expect magic...
Unnatural miracles and a tap dance,
Done comfortably.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Relax!
Just be you.
You will be surprise by how enchanting,
The unseen you can be,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.
When ease appeases with a bit of tease.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
And relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.
Just be you,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
And...
Relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.

The Touch Of Your Hand
On the day that you were born
I touched your hand so chubby and warm.
I touched your hand when you were one
and helped you walk my beautiful son.
I held your hand when you were two.
We ran, your favorite thing to do.
I held your hand when you were three
as you climbed on my lap and smiled at me.
I touched your hand when you were four
as the ocean touched our toes at the shore.
I touched your hand when you were five
walking you to school but when we'd arrive
I felt the tug of your hand from mine
and I knew that we had crossed a line.
I looked at you and released your hand
and said'it's okay I understand.'
As I walked back home I cried some tears
thinking of all our hand holding years.
Holding your hand became sporadic now,
when you were feverish or I felt your brow.
I held your hand a few times as a teen
but always alone so it wouldn't be seen.
I held your hand after you said, 'I do.'
We danced together just me and you.
After some years went by my son
you held the hand of your little one.
And so the times of your life turn around
and now that my hand is old I've found
you take my hand and help me walk
and as you do we intimately talk.
And it takes me back to that bright early morn
when I held your hand so chubby and warm.

I Thought I Held You
You're like a moon that's full,
Across a sea of foam
I'm the sky you've been burning
I don't think you even understand
I thought I held you by the hand
I thought I held you
I'm like a songwriter;
You're the reason I've run out,
Run out of metaphors
I don't think you even understand
I thought I held you by the hand
I thought I held you
I thought I held you

A Cave Like A Grave
I've put your love in a cage
I've held your love and your pain
With both of my hands with my regrets
I've dumped your love and my regrets in the cage
Since the day that you've gone
Journey for me has begun
I've hidden your love and It's pain
I've dug the cave like a grave
I've held the memories with my hand
I've touched the pain, Ah I cried vain
One by one I've added them to the cave
All your promises were undone
You've gone.
I've put the cave like a grave
Upon my shoulders I held your ache unaware
Years long years you were there
Inside my heart never went
I've held you with me in rough
I cried, I suffered pain, oh in vain
I held you with me all these years. Never could leaving the past years
I've held them like a bag
filled with fires and with pain
Since the day that you've gone The misery of love for me was begun
Today I want you to know
I've thrown away the cage including all your aches
I left my soul free, out of the grave of your love
The journey for me has found an end.

Glow
Glow
Out of all contexts and scenery
it shows laughter rings inside of me
aching paths don't cross so easily
break my back to see things differently
so glow
we've held off the cold
low and behold
the seasons passing toll
i find reasons and stop wondering
the different ways in which we feel the same
give too much to what-if imagery
now the second time means more to me
so glow
we've held off the cold
so glow
we've held off the cold
low and behold
turns winter spring and fall

Buddha at the Bodhi tree (Sri Lanka)
Here, to the oldest living tree
Pilgrims have flown, sailed, crawled and bussed
To feel its shade to know its strength
The world’s not owned but held in trust
It never withers, fresh shoots grow
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Does not apply to such a tree
The world’s not owned but held in trust
Buddha, in this tree’s motherland
Had conquered self and fear and lust
Now every seed the message gives
The world’s not owned but held in trust
Treasures you covet, things possessed
Silver and gold all turn to rust
Others will claim your home, your land
The world’s not owned but held in trust
Your little self’s a puff of smoke
To every living thing be just
Power brings responsibilities
The world’s not owned but held in trust
The fluttering leaves eternal tell
Man’s not immortal, die we must
Live a full life but live it well
The world’s not owned, but held in trust

Emily
The crystal sky was beckoning,
he held her close, ‘twas like a dream.
The night, it shone with starlight
the moon sent out moon beams.
Just those two, no preacher there
they had no need, they didn't care
but held each others hands and then
they said their vows over again.
True love was theirs, pristine and new
all innocent as babes they flew
into a life of love and laughter
to live so happy ever after.
What a partnership they had
and here I draw a veil
for blissfulness and magic
some say are fairy tales
but Emily was beautiful
in mind just as in skin
and all his life he's loved her,
a treasure held within.

Be Happy For Me
I held his hand when I was young,
I held it when his life was done,
Held it as he sighed his last -
Recalling times, and glories passed.
Then, as a child and hoisted high
I soared with clouds, became the sky,
When riding on his shoulders broad
No oceans depths could we not ford.
I never thought to see him weak
That words, he would choke to speak,
To see him quietly lying there,
How tortured is my own despair?
The finest words, he spoke, when well,
Before that black and final knell,
My mentor still now on the ear
And freely rolls the grieving tear.
He bade me close toward the end,
Blue eyes of my greatest friend,
In that moment, I soared above -
Hoisted by his undying love.
Cheek to cheek I sought his words,
Was adrift upon his sea,
Then gasping like a drowning man,
Heard, “Please be happy for me.”

Held In The Heart
What can be held in the hand
Is not as inportant
As what is held in the heart
For things held in the heart
Can be only lost by you
For you are the only one
That has the power of
Letting go

Shameful affairs
To shower praises on someone
Because he is held so high
And to show contempt to someone
Because he is held so low
Are equally shameful affairs.
