Truth is, you make albums, and some of those songs are hits, and some of the greatest hits albums have songs that weren't hits. You have a career, the reason why we're still around 10 years is that we do have successful songs.

Truth Hits Everybody
Sleep lay behind me like a broken ocean
Strange waking dreams before my eyes unfold
You lay there sleeping like an open doorway
I stepped outside myself and felt so cold
Take a look at my new toy
Itll blow your head in two, o boy
Truth hits everybody
Truth hits everyone
I thought about it and my dream was broken
I clutch at images like dying breath
And I dont want to make a fuss about it
The only certain thing in life is death
Take a look at my new toy
Itll blow your head in two, o boy
Truth hits everybody
Truth hits everyone
Where you want to be
Wont you ever see
Truth hits everybody
Truth hits everyone
Now

The Greatest Thing
Everyone stopped when she walked into the room
Isnt this the greatest thing
Everyone own up but nobody could touch her
Isnt this the greatest thing
Punch the clock keep boxing clever
Youll be young enough for ever
Isnt this the greatest thing
Isnt this the greatest thing
I heard some new confection
Said we cant afford to feel affection
And its the lastest thing
In and out of matrimony
Never once removed the sony
cos its a status thing
So girls like that above described
Are not to be so easily bribed
With a white frock and a ring
Punch the clock and in time youll get pulled apart
If youre married on paper and not in your heart
But I wont be told that life with the one you love is sordid
Just because some authority says you cant afford it
Since nights were long and days were olden
Woman to man has been beholden
But since then times have been changing
She sends back his tribute of a rose
And says this ring is better suited for the nose
Hes always fingering
I punch the clock and its ok
I know a girl who takes my breath away
And its the greatest
And its the greatest thing

Christmas Through Your Eyes
Till I had you I didn't know
That I was missing out
Had to grow up and see the world
Through different shades of doubt
Give me one more chance to dream again
One more chance to feel again
Through your young heart
If only for one day let me try
I wanna see Christmas through your eyes
I want everything to be the way it used to be
Back to being a child again thinking the world was mine
I wanna see Christmas

Spiderbite Song
When you got that spiderbite on your hand
I thought we would have to break up the band
To lose your arm would surely upset your brain
The poison then could reach your heart from a vein
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you had that accident in your car
That whole thing just really seemed too bizarre
Dodging holes and telephone poles through the dash
A million to one that you could survive such a crash
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me
When you fell in love it was so sweet
So devoted, completely swept off your feet
Love is the greatest thing our heart can know
But the hole that it leaves in its absence can make you feel so low
I was glad that it didn't destroy you
How sad that would be
Cos if it destroyed you
It would destroy me

The Many Good and Bad Things
The most beautiful day, day of today!
The biggest obstacle, the fear to take risk!
The easiest thing, fail always!
The biggest mistake, give up easily!
The worst feeling, bad Karma!
More bad feeling, the sins I committed!
The best feeling, good Karma!
The best gift, God loves me!
The greatest strength, Have faith in God!
The greatest thing in the world, love everyone.
The greatest news, God Have Mercy
The greatest survival, We are safe from Evil.

The Greatest
[Intro]
(The the, the the, the the, the the)
Don't throw no roses on my grave, boo
That's not a soldier, it's more like an angel
You got no where to run, no one to pray to
Jesus and Moses ain't comin' to save you
(The greatest, the the the greatest)
I flow like a butterfly, I sting like a hornet
They won't let me have it
Not even if no one else want it
And if I try to take it
They wanna break me down and strip me naked
They write a brand new rule and break it
They lie, they cheat, they steal, they fake it
But I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The greatest the the greatest man alive)
(The greatest man)
(The greatest, the the)
I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The gratest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The, the greatest man alive)
(The greatest, the the greatest man)
(The the, the greatest man alive)
(The, the the greatest, the the the greatest man)
(The greatest man alive)
I'mma make it, know that I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I gotta get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt my name will survive
(The greatest man, the greatest man alive)
It only gets harder
It always seems so far away
The sky's getting darker
Another storm is on the way
(The the greatest, the the the greatest, the the)
Another storm is on the way
(The the the the greatest, the the greatest)
(The greatest man alive)

Greatest Thing
I'm hopeless without you
That will never change
Your the greatest thing
That has ever happened to me
Your my everything and more
Your love is what keeps me alive
I'm nothing without you
I'm going to miss you so much
I once was taken from you
But I won't let it happen ever again
I love you
And more then you'll ever know
Your the greatest thing
I can't love anyone but you
Things that happen that has pulled us apart
But I won't let it happen ever again
You love has strengthen me
Your my everything
This is the strongest and purest love
That youre ever going to know
You're my greatest thing
I love you and that's never going to change

Well, I liked it - that was the main thing. I liked it, but I didn't think of it in terms of a career. I didn't really know; I didn't really think about it. One thing just led to another until finally I quit my job as a salesman and found myself working as a photographer.

My Canadian Chronicles 27
The weatherman forecasted
threatening storms and rain
for the beginning of the week,
but all we’ve had is sunshine
and a brief shower last night,
but today looks like another fine day.
Sadly, as the days slip away
we will soon have to leave to go home.
We will go with bucketfuls of memories
to last for many years to come.
Like pop stars with their greatest hits,
we have our holidays characterised like that.
This one reached the top of the charts
as our best by far
with great company and weather.
Who could ask for anything more?
You couldn’t.
This has been the greatest holiday by far.

Truth
How did I get here
Think I know what I did
Always worked real hard
Maybe I missed something
I'm not into pointing fingers
Showin who's right or wrong
I just wanna keep it real
Cause maybe I was doin fine on my own
Listen:
I had a career before now didn't I
I had lots of friends before now didn't I
And I had my fans before now didn't I
And I had my family before now didn't I
Guess without you
My little life was nothing
But don't sweat it
Let's say we disagree so
Arguing ain't necessary cause
We both have out whole lives left to live
We're both consumed with jealousy
But the truth can set you free
Don't act like you don't know the truth
Cause deep down in your heart you do
Let it go
Ooh child
Things are gonna get easier
Ooh child thing will be bright cause
Truth will set you free
Conversations deep
When you talk to yourself
There's no wayt to cheat
Cause you know you can't be no one else
Won't trip out on disappointment
Cause failure is just not me
Still I gotta do my job
Cause you know my show can't go on without me
Listen:
I had a career before now didn't I
Sold out round the worl before now didn't I
I had a few hits before now didn't I
And danced until my feet were sore now didn't I
Guess without you
My little life was nothing
But don't sweat it
Let's say we disagree so
Arguing ain't necessary cause
We both have out whole lives left to live
We're both consumed with jealousy
But the truth can set you free
It's hard to believe
The love between us is over
It's sad to think we couldn't work it out
But how much is enough to pay for this mistake
Hope your love was sincere
Don't act like you don't know the truth
Cause deep down in your heart you do
Let it go
Ooh child
Things are gonna get easier
Ooh child thing will be bright cause
Truth will set you free
Don't act like you don't know the truth
Cause deep down in your heart you do
Let it go
Ooh child
Things are gonna get easier
Ooh child thing will be bright cause
Truth will set you free
Do you know the truth
Feel it
Live it
Do you know the truth
Trust it
Believe it
Do you know the truth
You want it
And need it
Do you know the truth
To find it
Embrace it
And never let it go

The Greatest
Little boy, in a baseball hat stands in the field with his ball and bat.
Says, "I am the greatest player of them all" puts his bat on his shoulder and he tosses up his ball.
And the ball goes up and the ball comes down swings his bat all the way around
The world so still you can hear the sound, the baseball falls to the ground.
Now the little boy doesn't say a word, picks up his ball, he is undeterred.
Says, "I am the greatest there has ever been" and he grits his teeth and he tries it again.
And the ball goes up and the ball comes down swings his bat all the way around
The world so still you can hear the sound, the baseball falls to the ground.
He makes no excuses, he shows no fear, he just closes his eyes and listens to the cheers.
Little boy, he adjusts his hat, picks up his ball, stares at his bat
Says,"I am the greatest, the game is on the line" and he gives his all one last time.
And the ball goes up and the moon so bright, swings his bat with all his might
The world's as still, as still can be, the baseball falls and that's strike three.
Now it's suppertime and his momma calls, little boy starts home with his bat and ball.
Says, "I am the greatest, that is a fact, but even I didn't know I could pitch like that!"
Says, "I am the greatest, that is understood, but even I didn't know I could pitch that good!

Wish I Didn't Know Now
I've never ask you where you're goin'
I've never ask you where you've been
I've never called and checked your story
You stayed out with all your freinds
I've never tried to catch you lyin'
I didn't want to know the truth
I'd rather go on lovin' blind girl
Than go on lovin' without you
I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then
I wish I could start this whole thing over again
I'm not sayin' it's you could never be true
I just don't wanna know how it ends
You'd still have my heart in the palm of your hands
I'd still look like a fool in front of your friends
Yeah I wish somehow I didn't know now what I didn't know then
I've always said what I don't know
Couldn't hurt as bad as leavin' you
Turns out I knew what I was thinkin'
It ain't an easy thing to do
Well I guess I should be goin'
I sure found out too much to stay
Please don't say your sorry
I might wait another day
I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then
I wish I could start this whole thing over again
I'm not sayin' it's you could never be true
I just don't wanna know how it ends
You'd still have my heart in the palm of your hands
I'd still look like a fool in front of your friends
Yeah I wish somehow I didn't know now what I didn't know then
You'd still have my heart in the palm of your hand
I'd still look like a fool in front of your freinds
Yeah I wish somehow I didn't know now what I didn't know then

You Are the Greatest
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You make all things beautiful
To me your love is wonderful
Thou feedest me
When i am hungry
Giveth me waters
To quench my thirst
You put me first
Encourage me to be the best
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You visited me
When i was in jail
You encouraged me to be
The head not the tail
You are the reason
I did not fail
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You are my motivation
My source of power generation
Oh my savor
You are my heart desire
Truly you are my lover
May you live forever
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
