My Canadian Chronicles 27
The weatherman forecasted
threatening storms and rain
for the beginning of the week,
but all we’ve had is sunshine
and a brief shower last night,
but today looks like another fine day.
Sadly, as the days slip away
we will soon have to leave to go home.
We will go with bucketfuls of memories
to last for many years to come.
Like pop stars with their greatest hits,
we have our holidays characterised like that.
This one reached the top of the charts
as our best by far
with great company and weather.
Who could ask for anything more?
You couldn’t.
This has been the greatest holiday by far.

When it rains it pours
Rain is a strange thing
when you want it
it never comes,
and when you don't
it arrives in bucket loads.
Like at a barbecue
it will put a stop to that,
but you need it for your plants
so you won't get none for weeks.
You go out in just a t.shirt
and you get soaking wet,
but the weatherman said
it will stay dry all day.
I wonder if the weather people
told Noah it wasn't going to rain?
Don't worry I bet they said,
just the odd shower possible.
Rain stops sporting events
waterlogged pitches,
rain stopped play at Cricket
no Tennis at Wimbledon.
Grown ups dislike rain
but it doesn't bother kids
adults walk around puddles
but children just dive on in.
Rain can ruin holidays
sat in a caravan all week,
but you can guarantee one thing,
on your last day the sun will come out!

~*Enjoy Your Holiday*~
Wherever you are
On last summer days
If filled with rain or sun
Enjoy your holiday!
Relax: fun, laughter have
The sky and the trees
I'll set up to give you
a best company.
Be generous with smiles
With fine glue stick to your face:
true warm and kind
different than the tiles
On my door step.
And everything around
May give you the greatest care
And merry to be found
For the entire world
with you love shall share:
Enjoy your holiday!

My Canadian Chronicles 003
From a shaky start, I can see
this is going to be a wonderful holiday.
Woke up this morning at my usual time,
four o’clock in the morning.
It maybe cooler than what we left,
but that does not bother me.
The warmth of anywhere
comes from the company you keep.
Here is no exception
and the company is great.
My dreams one by one
are beginning to come true.

Hall Of Mirrors
The young man stepped into the hall of mirrors
Where he discovered a reflection of himself
Even the greatest stars discover themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars discover themselves in the looking glass
Sometimes he saw his real face
And sometimes a stranger at his place
Even the greatest stars find their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars find their face in the looking glass
He fell in love with the image of himself
and suddenly the picture was distorted
Even the greatest stars dislike themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars dislike themselves in the looking glass
He made up the person he wanted to be
And changed into a new personality
Even the greatest stars change themselves in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars change themselves in the looking glass
The artist is living in the mirror
With the echoes of himself
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars fix their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars fix their face in the looking glass
Even the greatest stars live their lives in the looking glass

Weatherman
What's up America and the rest of the world?
It's the Pied Piper, your music weatherman
It's love o'clock and we're broadcasting live
Right here from the Chocolate Factory
Where music ain't just music, but hit music
Let's go...
Steppers to the floor, steppers to the floor
Steppers to the floor, steppers to the floor
Steppers to the floor, steppers to the floor
Steppers to the floor
Hello world it's a great day
Be thankful, put a smile on your face
And nothing but blue skies
Tell somebody "hi", get your car shined
It's the weekend and I can feel the love
Tonight I'm gonna hit the club
I'm in casual linen shirt and pants
I can't wait to dance
This is your weatherman
It's gonna be...
Sunshine
No signs of rain
Blue skies
It's your weatherman
Happy people
Steppin' out tonight
And they look so good
And they feel so right
Yeah
Said the forcast today is love all around
This club is filled of joy, nobody's feeling down
Peace all day, don't you worry about a thing
Just go out and have some fun and everything will be okay, yeah
Happy homes and best friends
The clouds are gone said the weatherman, yeah
Sunshine
No signs of rain (nothing but)
Blue skies
It's your weatherman
Happy people
Steppin' out tonight
And they look so good
And they feel so right (right)
Yeah (yeah)
It's Kels, your music weatherman
And forecast shows we're gonna be playin' hits all day y'all
Good times, sunny skies, everybody's feelin' fine
Happy hearts, positive minds
It's all coming here right from the Chocolate Factory
Yeah, this album was designed to touch your soul
And put your spirit at ease
So uh, Happy People baby

The Greatest Man I Never Knew
The greatest man I never knew
Lived just down the hall
And everyday we said hello
But never touched at all
He was in his paper
I was in my room
How was I to know he thought I hung the moon
The greatest man I never knew
Came home late every night
He never had too much to say
Too much was on his mind
I never really knew him
And now it seems so sad
Everything he gave to us took all he had
Then the days turned into years
And the memories to black and white
He grew cold like an old winter wind
Blowing across my life
The greatest words I never heard
I guess Ill never hear
The man I thought could never die
Sbeen dead almost a year
He was good at business
But there was business left to do
He never said he loved me
Guess he thought I knew

My Canadian Chronicles 004
I sit in our hotel room
and ponder the days ahead
the adventures each new day will bring.
I am not going to even try
to imagine the delights ahead,
but let the card fall
however, they are dealt.
Some people when on holiday
wish for lots of good weather.
For me it’s not the weather
but those whom I will meet.
The laughter we might enjoy
listening to the funny things that made up our lives.
These are the important things
when I go on holiday.

But to put out a greatest hits on one CD was totally impossible, I just couldn't do it. The best compromise was to put out two CDs - Early Days - which is what it is - and Latter Days.

The Greatest
[Intro]
(The the, the the, the the, the the)
Don't throw no roses on my grave, boo
That's not a soldier, it's more like an angel
You got no where to run, no one to pray to
Jesus and Moses ain't comin' to save you
(The greatest, the the the greatest)
I flow like a butterfly, I sting like a hornet
They won't let me have it
Not even if no one else want it
And if I try to take it
They wanna break me down and strip me naked
They write a brand new rule and break it
They lie, they cheat, they steal, they fake it
But I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The greatest the the greatest man alive)
(The greatest man)
(The greatest, the the)
I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The gratest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The, the greatest man alive)
(The greatest, the the greatest man)
(The the, the greatest man alive)
(The, the the greatest, the the the greatest man)
(The greatest man alive)
I'mma make it, know that I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I gotta get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt my name will survive
(The greatest man, the greatest man alive)
It only gets harder
It always seems so far away
The sky's getting darker
Another storm is on the way
(The the greatest, the the the greatest, the the)
Another storm is on the way

The Greatest Days Of All
(Dolly Parton)
A dirt dobber built its nest
On my only Sunday dress
And the roof leaked in my shoes
And when they dried they were too small
And the rats chewed a great big hole
In my only winter coat
And at night I'd hear them gnaw
The paper on my bedroom wall
But I still say
Those were the greatest days of all
Some happy and some sad
Some good and some bad
But I still say
Those were the greatest days of all
I used to wait by the garden gate
Where the hummingbirds came ev'ry day
To kiss the yellow roses
Growing up the garden wall
And in the tall grass I would lie
'Til ev'ning shadows brought the night
Thru the window of my room
I'd hear the whippoorwill's sad call
And I still say
Those were the greatest days of all
Some happy and some sad
Some good and some bad
But I still say
Those were the greatest days of all
Now as I make my way
Along the busy city sidewalks
My head arouring from the deafening city sound
You can't hear a whipporwill in this noisy city
And tall green grass don't grow
Along the sidewalks of this town
And hummingbirds don't fly around
These artificial roses
Like they did around the garden wall
And, oh, so often in my mind
I'll go back to another time
And I still say
Those were the greatest days of all
I still say
Those were the greatest days of all

Shower The People
You can play the game and you can act out the part
Though you know it wasnt written for you
But tell me, how can you stand there with your broken heart
Ashamed of playing the fool
One thing can lead to another; it doesnt take any sacrifice
Oh, father and mother, sister and brother
If it feels nice, dont think twice
Just shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna work out fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will
You can run but you cannot hide
This is widely known
And what you plan to do with your foolish pride
When youre all by yourself alone
Once you tell somebody the way that you feel
You can feel it beginning to ease
I think its true what they say about the squeaky wheel
Always getting the grease.
Better to shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be just fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Youll feel better right away
Dont take much to do
Sell you pride
They say in every life
They say the rain must fall
Just like pouring rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine.
Oh yes
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine
Yeah, all right
Everybody, everybody
Shower the people you love with love

(There's No Place Like) Home For The Holidays
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home
I met a man who lives in Tennessee
And he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are trav'lin' down
To Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee,
The traffic is teriffic!
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can't beat home, sweet home
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can't beat home
Holidays you can't beat home
Holidays you can't beat home, sweet home

The Greatest Show On Earth
Love is like a circus and a carnival is beautiful to see
Love can turn your mind around like ferris wheels and spinning carosels
Youll be a part of the world of make believe
Flying high like a man on a trapeze
Oh, everyday is a holiday
Get your tickets right away
Love, love, love
Is the greatest show on earth
The fantasy you see is like a child again through rainbow colored eyes
Step right up its circus time and get your moneys worth of love today
Youll be a part of the world of make believe
Flying high like a man on a trapeze
Everyday is a holiday
Get your tickets right away
Love, love, yea

Greatest Sex
From beyond this bed of mine I see
Ceiling fans with you on top of me
And the window blinds are filled with rays of sun
And all you secret fantasies thy will be done done
And inside of your walls there will dwell a capricorn
That will feast your body all night
If we keep this up then a love child will be born
All because
Of the greatest
Chorus
The greatest you
The greatest me
We have found the greatest chemistry
The greatest touch
The greatest kiss
What came to be is the greatest wish
The greatest show
The greatest song
The greatest words
The greatest all night long
Baby your love stays constantly on my mind
This is the best sex Ive ever had
I know twelve ways to make your love come down
And the secret places on you will be found
Like a voyage when the storm begins to roar
Theres no telling what this night could have in store in store
Cause inside of your walls there will dwell a capricorn
That will feast your body all night
And if we keep this up then a love child will be born
All because
Of the greatest
Chorus
The greatest you
The greatest me
We have found the greatest chemistry
The greatest touch
The greatest kiss
What came to be is the greatest wish
The greatest show
The greatest song
The greatest words
The greatest all night long
Baby your love stays constantly on my mind
This is the best sex Ive ever had
Repeat 3x
Something that happened out the day for the sake of our love
Like a hand and glove we go together this love is forever oooh
This sex is so good Ive got to break it down

The Greatest Romance Ever Sold
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
So what do u know, u and me
Finally face 2 face
Checking each other up and down
In all of the obvious places
Was there ever a reason 4 us 2 be apart?
The air that fills up this room says, not hardly
So this is where u end, and u and I begin ...
(thats where u and i, u and I begin)
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
Baby, baby
Now your mind is open
2 poetry seldom heard
Ur heart has never been broken
Until uve heard these words:
Your body was designed 2 respond 2 mine
In spite of your desire 2 mold me
And in the middle of it all -
We kiss and like rain (like rain) we fall into ...
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
Oh, I know u can feel me,know that u can dance
But what do you know about the greatest romance?
Not what u think, but what u believe
What was the real reason that adam never left eve?
And if the truth sounds like a memory
Then u know it was meant to be (meant 2 be), meant 2 be
Leave your inhibitions behind come on, come on, and see
So this is where u end (this is where u end)
And u and I begin ... (u-hu)
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
The greatest romance thats ever been sold
I know u can feel, I know that u can dance
But what do you know about the greatest romance?
(the greatest romance ...)
Not what u think, but what u believe
Can u tell me the reason (reason) that adam never left eve?
(the greatest (greatest) romance (romance) ...)
Listen 2 me
(... thats ever been sold)
U brought me
The grapes from the vine, yes u did
(the greatest romance ...)
Can I talk 2 u
(... thats ever been sold)
Listen
U help me 2 remember the secrets of time
And u - u - u, u offer me your love, your love, your love
So divine
And in return, girl, in return I will surrender
Oh yeah, I will surrender, oh yes, I will

Once Upon A Time
Meeting you in the park and talking in the pouring rain
(oh what a time we had)
Running home in the dark and pretending it was all a game
(oh what a time)
Those were the days, those were the days
Memories of you have really left a scar
And all that I can do now is to love you from afar
cos everything was fine
That once upon a time
Asking you if youd stay, not believing that you might
(oh what a time we had)
Missing you through the day, dreaming of you through the night
(oh what a time)
Those were the days, those were the days
Though theres no denying that youre nowhere around
I cant help myself from looking for your face amongst the crowd
cos everything was fine, that once upon a time
Have to leave the past behind me and get on the right track
Though theres nothing I can say that will ever bring you back
But everything was fine, that once upon a time
I wish I knew for how much longer this misery will last
Cant control these feelings, Im still living in the past
cos everything was fine, that once upon a time
Ive got to build my life again, try to find somebody new
But I know inside my heart of hearts therell be no replacing you
But everything was fine, that once upon a time

21st Century Job
There you are. Haunting my mirror, watching me
Making small talk with myself. So what do you think of the weather today?
Oh it’s never been better, I say as I strain to imitate your female voice.
Which doesn’t really work out because I’m still not in touch with my feminine side enough.
But even if I was, I still couldn’t counterfeit the love we shared.
And even if I was, I couldn’t recreate a beauty no longer there.
But I still try to
Because I can’t forget you.
And the hail rains down outside tonight like so many stones
Thrown at me by god. But why would he want to stone me, dammit?
Am I Job's great great great great great great great great grandson?
Or something?
Maybe, he answers silently through your gravestone
Which I will have a one-sided chat with today
Despite the weather.
Maybe, god tells me. But maybe is an answer I don’t want to hear
As I stand near this rock marking a victim of chance.
Because the fear of tragedy has steered me into a sad apathy
I never knew was in me before you died.
But you are not gone.
Nothing is wrong! I will keep you alive!
I will make you live on as a spirit which visits me:
There. You. Are. Dancing with me under the stars as they rain stones
Down on me and the monument to your life. But I will weather the weather
Like the gravestone staring me down just to dance with you.
And here. We. Are. Together again, expressing love
Through awkward steps and turns like we used to do:
You, dodging my awful coordination, which makes me trip on your foot
Smilingly
While your ghost smiles too.
