It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words "And this, too, shall pass away."

Images Presented
The image that's presented,
Determines how impressive...
Those pretentious rush to protect.
And the image that's presented,
Has less to do with intellect.
Or competence and its effect,
Upon those expecting...
Much more than an image projected to accept.
Images old have molded.
Although repeatedly they have been sold!
Those images presented,
Represent times gone.
Those images presented,
Have been rusted so long.
Those images presented,
Do not feed!
Those images presented,
No one needs now!
Those images presented represent a decadence.
And they represent with evidence pretentions that are meant.
Those images presented do not feed.
Those images presented no one needs,
Now.
Those images presented represent a decadence.
And they represent with evidence pretentions that are meant.
Those images presented do not feed.
Those images presented no one needs,
Now.
Those images presented,
Represent times gone.
Those images presented,
Have been rusted so long.
Those images presented do not feed.
Those images presented no one needs,
Now.
Those images presented represent a decadence.
And they represent with evidence pretentions that are meant.
Images old have molded.
Although repeatedly they have been sold!

People And Their Situations Do Change
If it is true you knew,
How I felt in those times...
Where were you,
To help me empty...
Those many buckets of tears,
I cried.
If it is true,
My struggles with agony...
Had been something you knew.
If it is true you knew,
Who planted obstacles on my path...
Why were you not there for me at all?
And when I reach out to you,
You dismissed me and laughed.
If it 'is' true you knew,
What I was going through...
You said nothing about it,
Until several years have passed.
And,
If it is true you knew...
Anything about me at all,
Why have you waited until today...
To appear to say,
You are experiencing your own downfall.
To what degree of an empathy,
Do expect from me...
To receive?
'People and their situations change.'
I couldn't say that any better.
I agree.
Trust me.
And that person you say you knew back then,
Has matured to improve...
On my expectations of 'friends'.
And can see people and things as they are.
With a re-arrangement done to philosophies,
Without a passing of judgement on them.
'People and their situations change.'
I couldn't say that any better.
I agree.
Trust me.
And I've been blessed with a peace,
I am going to protect and keep.
And all I can do is wish you the best.
With a peacefulness I am feeling.
Hoping one day,
The same for you will come your way.
People and their situations do change.
Of that,
I totally agree.
But an empathy from me you wish to receive...
Was not from you,
Ever given to me from you to give...
To believe you can receive.
I agree...
People and their situations do change,
A lot!

Words
Words on this paper
Words in my head
Words while I'm texting
Computing
Unsaid
Words between people
Words on the phone
Words upon words
Even when I'm alone
Words from the Bible
I question
Don't mesh
Words from pornography
Making them flesh
Words with flat letters
Written in black
Good words and bad words
You cannot take back
Words that are shallow
Words that are deep
When they're too many
They put me to sleep
Words that I'm writing
And rhyming you read
Whatever I'm saying
There's prolly no need
Words from the alphabet
Words that can't be
When you are blind
And it's Braile that you see
Words that are worthless
And said on the fly
My words or your words
Are most likely lies
Words in a sentence
Wise words or fair
The only words earnest
Are those said in prayer

Not One Of My Greatest Attributes
My position has always been,
To present the facts!
With the getting of them out of the way.
To free the air of false pretentions.
But many refuse to see the facts,
For what they are.
And instead wish to embellish their delusions,
With beliefs facts presented...
They can re-invent with a bit of flourishing.
Only to later discover those facts presented to them,
Came from experiences many fantasized do not get.
And being patient is not one of my greatest attributes.

Sonnet: Forgive Wisely
A statesman wise sees well beyond his times;
A leader great foresees the future well;
A monarch thinks of commonweal all climes;
A pope ensures that no soul lands in hell!
Sometimes, we better forget ego clash;
The world at large does matter more than self;
At times, to forgive, we must make a dash;
Forgiving brethren is better than pelf!
Let decisions be wise always in life;
We do not lose a thing in being kind;
An act of help is welcome amidst strife;
Sometimes to regulations, we needn't bind!
Let men in high authority be wise;
No man is perfect or afree of vice!

This Too Shall Pass
I dont jones for nothing
Cause thats a waste
Waste of space in my frontal lobe and
I just sit, deal with it, dont have a fit
Do you know what Im sayin?
I just get as down as I can
Dont look to relief from a troubled young man
Just take a piece
Sometimes it sucks
Oh I'm not too sure if I can do this on my own guys
Like I'm thinking maybe we should form a support group
Or perhaps a church sponsored youth group
Oh and then then I say I looked the other way
I changed my point of view
And heres what I do
This too shall pass
This too shall pass
This too shall pass
This..
All the good times, all the bad times
Face it bro, they all will pass
Your problems will seem inconsequential and trivial
When you realize one thing
Were just a speck of dirt on this golf ball
Called ??
Its stupid insane
And didnt then I see
I looked the other way
I changed my point of view
And heres what I do

Passing Through
Wet blades in the shade of an old house
Scatter as a mouse shatters the dew,
On this morning as i pass through.
A city asleep beneath a deep eastern ray
Is herlded from slumber by a trumpeting jay,
Who christens the day anew,
On this morning as i pass through.
Golden hair and a rare trace of green
Can be seen, transfigured in the treetops
By autumn’s brush as a thrush scampers from view,
On this morning as i pass through.
Dawn’s drowsiness is shaken as a baby awakens
To the city’s soft ceiling of blue,
On this morning as i pass through.

Afraid For Love To Fade
(jose mari chan)
My heads in a jam
Cant take you off my mind
From the time we met
Ive been beset by thoughts of you
And the more that I ignore this feeling
The more I find myself believing
That I just have to see you again
I cant let you pass me by
I just cant let you go
But I know that I am much too shy
To let you know
Afraid that I might say the wrong words
And displease you
Afraid for love to fade
Before it can come true
Like a child again
Im at a loss for words
How does one define
A crush combined with longing?
Longing to possess you oh so dearly
Im obsessed by you completely
Ill go mad if I cant have you
I cant let you pass me by
I just cant let you go
But I know that I am much too shy
To let you know
Afraid that I might say the wrong words
And displease you
Afraid for love to fade
Before it can come true
(instrumental)
I cant let you pass me by
I just cant let you go
Let me say the things and say the words
To let you know
I would rather say the awkward words
Than lose you
Or for love to fade
Before it can come true

Judge & Jury
Artist(Band):98 Mute
(Print the Lyrics)
Why must you insist on constant analysis
Why can you just get over it
Got a mind of my own
I can not be your clone
Ive got my own road to follow
Don't try to change my ways
Don't try to twist my fate
Don't try to program me or censor the words I say
Don't humor me and then secretly disapprove
Cause it will only turn me off and against you
Don't try to be my judge and jury
Don't try to pass sentence on me
Don't try to be my judge and jury
Don't try to pass sentence on me
Your endless scrutiny will cause my mutiny
Your rule Your reign is past my warranty
Here's where I make my stand you never stood a chance
I will not do that song and dance
Try and make me over now
You'll drag us both down
Somewhere neither of us wants to be
Respect how I live my life
And ill consider your advice
Cause it will mean so much more to me

There Is So Much To Be Grateful For
THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE GRATEFUL FOR
There is so much to be grateful for
I do not know how to thank God
True, I pray
But words are words-
Perhaps then the Feeling itself
Before and with the words
Is the true gratitude-
Yet I know my treacherous self
What of the times when there is no Gratitude?
What of the times of Question and Anger?
What of the times of Doubt?
Is it enough to always fear God
But to Love God only intermittently?

OPTIMISTIC DREAMS...(an acrostic poem)
Over the years...
Passing through
Time and tears
I'm true
My hopes and
I
Soaring high
Touching the limit
I'll survive... and
Change the world
Dead and dark
Rise I, to flame
Eastern sky
A Sun, its name...
Monarch of hope
Scorching... killing... dark minds...

I have written
And I have written sorrow many times
Yet never cried
These tears
I have written laughter in sunspilt skies
Though kept my laughter hidden out of view
And what you see, you who see these words?
What you see is true, yet not all true
For words hang in the air
Under a vacant sky
Leaving no trace or sign or clue
Of what is lived
Of what is breathed
And concieved
In every careful wording of an 'I'
In every other that finds a 'you'
I have written sorrow many times
With eyes unwept
For fallen trees and generations gone
Keeping their secrets and their brokeness
In all that cannot tell itself
Yet travels in the silence between what is said
And what is dead, and what is gone

I Could Have Chosen My Words
i could have chose my words
carefully
to please you all. I could have arranged them
the way you all want them
like the way you presented your points-of-view like the pillars
all aligned to the north star
the one that guides the lost ships
back to their comfort shores. I could have chosen the tone
and specified the context of my intentions. I could have set these words
in a musical scheme that pleases your ears while you sip your coffee
and had a good view of this world
amaze you with beauty and grace
like some well-sought and popular entertainer.......
but i didn't and i have long decided that i won't.
i have never been a pleader
and an entertainer i am not, neither had it become my cup of tea
to see to it that there is comfort in my house......
i am just being myself, and like you, no one pleases me too.

Still I Find You Deeper In My Heart
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
when people want to drive us apart
and still I find you deeper in my heart,
even when people fabricate lies,
when they hit, spit and lay accusations.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
even when there is resistance in every sentence of yours,
even when people bring you to anger by saying things
and still I find you deeper in my heart
and I know that nothing can conquer true love,
while I keep to the oath that I have made.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
and even if my words and deeds as if without affect
when people hide behind hearsay
and still I find you deeper in my heart,
as if our love continually starts over again,
when people want to squash everything beautiful between us.
There are times that I wonder how much you do love me
and still I find you deeper in my heart.

In My Way
(words & music by wise - weisman)
I may not be here tomorrow
But Im close beside you today
So lie to me a little, say you love me a lot
And Ill be true to you in my way
Love never goes on forever
At least thats what wise men all say
So smile when you kiss me, tomorrow you may cry
But Ill be true to you in my way
Yes Ill be true to you in my way

A poem deconstructing itself in homage to Barthes and Derrida (for Wendy if she can decode it)
I dreamed a dream profound and wise
about the state of man:
the brain a mass of wriggly worms,
the mind an old tin can..
The first word presents the semiotic question
of authorial authority:
is this a real person recounting
a ‘real’ dream, insofar as
dreams are ‘real’, and thus
presenting the authority of detached observation
(insofar as accepted structures of waking,
sleeping, dreaming, etc., are assumed,
thus ‘fictitious’ in an absolute sense)
or, is this a hermeneutic introductory opening
implying a proairetic forward movement?
moving on rapidly to the whole first line,
what is the authorial stance in ‘profound and wise’?
is the ‘author’ asserting the semantic truth of this dream,
or is this a lexia which is presented to the reader to resolve
in his or her own reading?
or is simply buttressing the symbolic integrity
of the ontological construct presented?
jeezus the more I read the deconstruction
the more I think the first verse could be true
