Tiger By The Tail

What a shock it was so surprising
You looked so small and frail
I didnt know what to do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
People said that you must be joking
You let emotions run away with you
I realized a little too late
I bit off more than I could chew
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
At times life can be so enlightening
But it can turn on you
Lately it gets so complicated i
I dont know what the tiger will do
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail
Sometimes you grip it right
And sometimes you fail
I grabbed the tiger by the tail

Some questions for you

How can these eggs
Break a stone?

And how can your
Spread fingers
Be a spoon?

How can you hold
Two watermelons
With one hand?

How can you be
Happy with
A thousand
Desires?

How can your
One hand
Eclipse the sun?

Together On The Sand

Together on the sand,
We walked hand in hand
On the beachfront, she smiled at me
As she tightly held my hand
I had my finger up her...
Country music played on the radio
So I turned it off and we walked down
To the water, as she grabbed on to my honker
A wave swept us away

Is That Done With Intent?

Why are you shouting.
I dislike it when you shout.

'I dislike the pain,
Sustained when you stand on my foot.
Is that done with intent?
Or is it a recurring accident,
You can not help but repeat.
Thinking it as a treat...
To feel your big feet.
With all of this street we both share! '

You suggested we walk closer.
I grabbed your hand.
And you grabbed mine.
Make up your mind.

'I did not mean for us to become 'that' attached.
The foot thing is better when not so public.
You know...
Not so exposed AND clothed!
Shoes and all.
Hint! '

Hey...
Whatever you say.
I thought we were going to be unconditional.

Congress Woman Gabrielle Gifford

1/15/11

Congress woman Gifford shot in the head
By all rights she should have been dead.
But apparently god has plans for her to do
So he laid his hand on her and pulled her through.

With her husband by her side, and in her
sub conscience she heard him cry.
She heard the prayers of a nation when
They heard of this devastation.

She moved a finger, then a hand
Gave a peace sign, and a thumbs up too
It seems she knew exactly what to do.

Now wouldn’t you say this is the work of god
Who is giving her a brand new start?

A lone gunmen with a gun
Shot her And most everyone.
Then a retired military man
Jumped up and grabbed his hand.
Another man grabbed him too.
At that moment he was subdued.

A little girl who was born on that
Fretful day(9/11) took a bullet and passed away.
Christina Taylor green was her name
She died so young, which is a crying shame.

So many lives have been affected that day
And through out the world, people still pray.
They pray for all the survivors and for
The ones who passed away
And there’s not much more that anyone can say.

They say that guns don’t kill
That it is man.

Then it’s time that we take a stand.

Guns can be bought in every city or town
Any where you go, it can be found.
Stop the gun dealers on the streets
And put more cops on the beat.

Teen age gangs are on the rise
We’ve got to do something
We’ve got to try.

My Other Hand...

the black man's hand,
the poor man's hand.
the Muslim hand, the Jewish hand...
the gay man's hand,
the working man's hand,
the ex-convict's hand,
the farmer's hand, the garbage man's hand...
the Christian's hand, the atheist's hand,
the father's hand, the soldier's hand,
the peacemaker's hand,
the healer's hand, the teacher's hand,
the prodigal's hand, even the murderer's hand...
the victim's hand, the broken hand,
the praying hand, the touching hand...
all, when extended,
feel like my other hand!

Attached To Happy

I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad...
And,
I'm Happy!
I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad...
And,
I'm Happy!

You've got to notice cause my motive is to flaunt it too.
After all the nonsense I've been through!

I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad,
And...
I am,
Happy!
I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad,
And...
I am,
Happy!

I hope it shows,
That I'm happy.
This side of ecstatic,
Keeps me happy.

I hope it shows,
That I'm happy.
This side of ecstatic,
Keeps me happy.

I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad,
And...
I am,
Happy!
I've got my heart unwrapped from being sad,
And...
I am,
Happy!

I've got my heart unwrapped,
And I'm happy!

With a glad I grabbed it back!

I've got my heart unwrapped,
And I'm happy!

With a glad I grabbed it back!

I've got my heart unwrapped,
And I'm happy!
I've got my heart unwrapped,
And I'm happy!
I've got my heart unwrapped,
And I'm happy!

With a glad I grabbed it back!

I'm glad I grabbed it back!
Attached to happy.
And I'm glad I grabbed it back!
Attached to happy.
So glad I grabbed it back!
Attached to happy.
I'm glad I grabbed it back!

Me & My Uncle

Me and my uncle went ridin down,
South colorado, west texas bound.
We stopped over in santa fe,
That bein the point just about half way,
And you know it was the hottest part of the day.
I took the horses up to the stall,
Went to the barroom, ordered drinks for all.
Three days in the saddle, you know my body hurt,
It bein summer, I took off my shirt,
And I tried to wash off some of that dusty dirt.
When texas cowboys, theys all around,
With liquor and money, they loaded down.
So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame;
You know my uncle, he starts a friendly game,
High-low jack and the winner take the hand.
My uncle starts winnin; cowboys got sore.
One of them called him, and then two more,
Accused him of cheatin; oh no, it couldnt be.
I know my uncle, hes as honest as me,
And Im as honest as a gamblin man can be.
One of them cowboys, he starts to draw,
And I shot him down, lord he never saw.
Well I grabbed a bottle, cracked him in the jaw,
Shot me another, oh damn he wont grow old.
In the confusion, my uncle grabbed the gold,
And we high-tailed it down to mexico.
I love those cowboys, I love their gold,
I loved my uncle, God rest his soul,
Taught me good, lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, I grabbed that gold
And I left his dead ass there by the side of the road.

The Child's Way

If we would'nt have grabbed the childs hand-
to drag it our way
If we would have gone along with the child
in its own way-
We could have reached the child's world

With poetry in its speech
With music in its voice
With an inquisitive look-
which has a rare combination of love and mischief
With a stumbling walk-
which knows its way though
The child does'nt seem to be ignorant at all.

If only we would'nt have used our experience-
and our so called knowledge-
to grab the childs hand to drag it our way-
If only we would have ventured to go the childs way
We could have reached the 'child's world'
