Justice is exercised in the proper prevention, rather than in the severe punishment, of crime.

Death is not only an unusually severe punishment, unusual in its pain, in its finality and in its enormity, but is serves no penal purpose more effectively than a less severe punishment.

It seems proper, at all events, that by an early enactment similar to that of other countries the application of public money by an officer of Government to private uses should be made a felony and visited with severe and ignominious punishment.

Is It Really Justice or Just Revenge?

Is capital punishment justice or is it revenge?
This is the question that I want to defend.
Is it really justice if you have to kill someone?
Or is the killing of a being just for your fun?
Is a murder really justified if the culprit spends less time in jail?
If so then it seems capital punishment is just easy bail.

They should be punished and not given an out of jail card,
All capital punishment is doing is spending money, cold and hard.
Wanting them to die doesn’t seem like justice but revenge?
It leaves blood on your hands when there life ends.
Life is full of trials and tribulations this is a must,
But if you kill a man then it won’t make life any more just.

Justice is using authority to give a fair decree,
But intended death to a being doesn’t seem fair to me.
Revenge is to satisfy in retaliation,
But death’s your one hit wonder, one satisfaction.
So I will always choose the criminals to defend,
Leaving you with your decision: justice or revenge?

Be Ruthless The Law

Be punishment heavier than
The benefit caused by the wrong.
Be the punishment severer than
The pain caused by the crime.
Be the punishment double
For wrongs of the custodian of laws.
Ruthlessness is the characteristic
Of the law of enforcement.

Just deserts

I’ve killed before and will again.
I kill for justice not for gain

So many criminals go free
because of their ability.

To hire a lawyer who will try
To make the truth appear a lie

So they escape just punishment.
Although it is self evident

That crafty legal argument
based on some ancient precedent

The merest technicality
persuades the judge to set them free

I’m not constrained by petty rules
and those that are I see as fools

I pursue justice ceaselessly
and do my duty faithfully

And those I deem deserve to die.
The punishment that I apply.

Is merely justice long delayed
I play the part that I have played.

That of the executioner
Or murderer if you prefer.

For many years without remorse
And I will carry on of course.

I’ve killed before and will again
As long as criminals obtain.

Immunity they don’t deserve
a fact I frequently observe.

In courts of law. Guilty men go free.
Blind justice can depend on me.

To disregard such foolishness
I am completely pitiless.

Though self appointed I redress
injustice with some small success.

I operate in secrecy
It is a prime necessity.

You do not need to know my name
I have no wish for worldly fame.

I take my duties seriously.
and that’s reward enough for me.

I rectify the courts mistakes
a little thought is all it takes.

Each guilty man the courts set free.
I’ll execute eventually.

But I must make it crystal clear
that innocents have naught to fear.

I only punish guilty men
before they can offend again.

Prevention is better than cure
I see no reason to endure.

Acquittals earned by lawyer’s lies.
I think a higher law applies.

If you transgress then you must pay.
There’s nothing more I need to say. http: //blog.myspace.com.poeticpiers

No punishment has ever possessed enough power of deterrence to prevent the commission of crimes. On the contrary, whatever the punishment, once a specific crime has appeared for the first time, its reappearance is more likely than its initial emergence could ever have been.

Snake bites

Restoration of things robbed
Isn’t punishment meted out.
Resignation from the post
Isn’t punishment for the crime.
Curing the snake bite
Is not driving out the snake.
Yet people are content with that.

Just and Equal Punishment

Getting rid of the culprits,
Does little to undo those misdeeds done.
Assigning the crime doers,
To prison cells to get three meals a day...
Free cable and educational opportunities,
To rehabilitate back into a crazed society...
Is not just and equal punishment.

Just and equal punishment includes,
Being threatened by creditors on a daily basis.
Or being passed over for a raise,
As one's boss waves and drives away...
In a new Mercedes.

Just and equal punishment,
Is a stripping of one's respect and identity.
Not dollars stashed away collecting interests.
And kept as seed money to invest,
In the adding of more theft to the decadence.

Just and equal punishment,
Would be the trading of places...
With those that have been deceived.
And they do this until those victimized,
Have been satisfied.

What does that make you?

If you work in capital punishment what does that make you?
If you kill a murderer I think that’s murder too.
If you hurt some one would you expect it to be returned?
But from your point of view that hurt would have been earned.
I agree they should be punished, I really, really do,
But I also think we should help them to get through.
Do you really consider all of their concerns?
Or do you think: murder, now it’s their turn.
Murder is an intentional killing in the laws sight,
Just because capital punishment is in the law doesn’t make it right.
It’s just like a policeman breaking the law,
And the authorities turn a blind eye lacking awe.
If they are not justified to their discrepancies,
Do you think our crime sentences really should be?
We should be punished for our major illegal wrongs,
But if they aren’t then justice in society does not belong.
Because if we as a society lets capital murder carry through,
Just sit and ask yourself what does that really make you?

No Lessons Learned

Death for causing death
You can't be lenient
A cold blooded slayer
Deserves capital punishment.
He snuffed out a life
With no hint of remorse
Extinguishing his life
Remains the only course.
He killed one
Still in its bud
Justice must be done
It bays for his blood.
The law takes its course
To the gallows he's sent
There's is no remorse
He deserved capital punishment.
Did it happen again?
Killing of an innocent?
It was no lesson
The capital punishment!
