Shallow Days...

well, there are
shallow days, nothing deep

something for my
feet,

above me the sun
one and only one sun

just the sun and my head
and the shallow waters
on my toes

and the noon time walk
when everyone is as usual

having lunch, and
my toes get wet and i

am making meanings
on the shallow waters

the body in the middle of
this air, the hands are like

eagles flying. the fingers are
turning into feathers

Do Not Stay On The Deepest Part Of The River

lest you get drowned
or be taken hostage by the
monster

join with us
friends of the shallow waters
we are wading
and laughing and
filtering colors
on the prism

we are kids on the shallow waters
our chins on the stone
our minds still dreaming

In The Shallow Waters

to the geese
all waters are shallow

does one always have
to be on top
of the deep
silent waters?

to fathom the deep
and be the deep
itself
engrossed to the wisdom
of its secrets
and wallow
in the enigma
of the anonymous
or the unknown paths
breathless

there is a time to be
not ourselves
and we take chances on the
shallow waters

in there we are not fishers
of men
or women or anything
we wade and relax
waters covering half our bodies

half-truths
you must see and feel
trivial as they are
they make us
so light like cotton
or silk flowing on our skins

like clouds
we float and drift and go anywhere
i felt it once
oh, so nice temporarily but at the end

it haunts me.
for it is not me and it can never be me.

i am matter, i have weight and i sink
to the bottom
to the deepest secrets of my truths

if i drown at least, i have my graveyard
ready.

First Level Of An Ordinary Conversation

on the shallow waters of laughter
we let go the words, we go with the flow of the first layer of our waters.
wooden boats, hands as rudders and a little emptiness covered
by the lace of sweet nothings, hi, hello, how are you, miss you,
as the feet stamp on something rocky, as the eyes bitter blue,
as our souls should know where to go, sham, spam,
violets are violets, and blue is blue, and red as red,
no implications, no deeper swimming, just a slight touch
here and there, some finishing statements, oh your nice,
you look thinner, losing weight is good, like your hair your nose
shallow, so shallow, there is no force here, no light, glimmer sans,
i look forward to seeing you again.

maybe next year, maybe never. you have become so ordinary.
and you sure, do not understand what i really mean. It is you.

Shallow Grave

When I fall in endless sleep
I hope that I'll be buried deep
Let me be the one that fortune favours
Even good children got shallow graves
Throw another clown to the lions
Throw another Joan on the blaze
Cast me away on the cruel calm ocean
and leave me for days and days and days and days and days
I won't lie in this poor shallow grave
I won't lie, I won't lie in this poor shallow grave
Dig me down deep where the dead men sleep
I won't lie in this poor shallow grave
Bless the poor 'cos like the rich
They all end up in a ditch
In this world of fools and knaves
Even good children got shallow graves
The tinker, the tailor, the fabulous five
Nobody gets out of this alive
Chorus
Dig me down deep where the dead men sleep
I won't lie in this poor shallow grave
Dig me down deep where the dead men sleep
I won't lie in this poor shallow grave
Dig me down, dig me down, dig me down deep
I won't lie in this poor shallow grave

Shallow Water

Do fish swim up-river
Why do they make it so hard
So hard on themselves
Do they not know
Down-river is the way to go

Aha, but what is down-river
There is an enemy
He will look for you
When you go

When you leave your home
Unfamiliar territory
Your waters become are shallow

Do not be afraid of the enemy
But take a freind where you go

Do not fear the shallow

Slow Rivers (feat. Elton John)

The weather man, he looks confused.
Shakes his fist at the sky like you used to do.
But you don't remember things like that, do you?
The balance was uneven but i'm breaking through.
Slow rivers run cold,
Shallow waters never sank so low.
I thought i'd drown and you'd never know,
You're a slow river and you run so cold.
The winter here don't belive in god,
The bitter wind just bites through me like a wild dog.
I still see in your eyes tonight like headlights through the fog,
But one foot in your door, oh that's all i ever got.
Slow rivers run cold,
Shallow waters never sank so low.
I thought i'd drown and you'd never know,
You're a slow river and you run so cold.
Chances are you'll reappear.
Swim my way in a flood of tears,
No place to hide your conscience
So you're a sinking ship with no place to go.
Slow rivers run cold,
Shallow waters never sank so low.
I thought i'd drown and you'd never know,
You're a slow river and you run so cold.

Dragon's Delight

dragon's fire,
dragon's flame,
dragons dance and dragons play,
filled with darkness,
filled with light,
these dragons feel so delighted,
the bonfire blazes,
the dragons dance,
as the moon's twilight sets in the east,
their dance turns with fire,
as it turns into an inferno,
the dragons eyes shine like diamonds,
as the night continues into the day.

Fighting Dragons

For fighting the fate
I need to be brave
Gathering courage for
Hunting all
The dragons of our time.
In our dreams
No dragons must appear,
Go chase them out of our world.

Dreaming of dragons
Remembering good times
As a legend that still shines
Gather all your force to fight
Or get the help of a brave knight.
No one must ever destroy our dreams
So keep on fighting the dragons.

A Circular Motion

the murky sea
tells the truth about the
chaos of rain
on the high mountains

those who are unlucky
remain buried
some are carried
to be swallowed by
the fish and the
shrimps and the
squids
feasting on the body
of the rotten
kid

on our tables
for lunch
we are lucky to have
same fish, shrimps
and squids

the sea clears itself
of the mess from those rivers
and we are the first
guests here
dipping...

Dragons

well im watching the dragons as they make another claim
he used to be a friend of mine, i called him by his name
well theres nothing you can say to nirvana when its packed up in a syringe
we'll call up your mama and bus in all your friends
well im watching the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight
beth lost her sister, they came and they took her away
and there aint enough pills in the world and nothing i can say
so i tell her i love her and that shes a friend
and each time i leave her, i wonder if i'll see her again
well im watching the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight
then i look in the mirror
the dragon has many forms
i wonder if hes coming for me
because i have been forewarned
well im wathing the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight

I believe in Fairies too for M lady Ernestine

Sometimes at night across the sky.
I see the silver dragons fly.
Although not everyone can see
the dragons dancing gracefully.

My friends think I have lost the plot
but I assure them I have not.
I don’t know why they cannot see
what is so very clear to me.

Perhaps I have an open mind
and they do not, so they are blind.
Moonlight reflecting on their scales.
This is a sight that never fails

to make me stop and realise.
Some cannot see though they have eyes.
They don’t believe the evidence
of their own eyes. It makes no sense.

Because they can’t believe it’s true
and won’t adjust their point of view.
But I believe and I can see
the dragons flying easily.

When twilight falls if you just try,
you too will see them fly
Unless you too, have closed your
mind and don’t believe in dragon kind.

An even keel Vessel goes run aground in the Ocean of Life!

My dear Son,
It's nice to hear
That you're a Skipper of a small craft!
Your poor old Grandma & Grandpa proud of that.
Be careful Sonny!
Ocean is vast & mysterious
And bottomless.
But there are some places you find shallow waters.
Obey & respect the rules of the road!
Yes, Mermaids are beautiful
But do not get tempted
And if you steer your course off the given route
into shallow waters definitely your ship goes run aground!
Be alert of the warning buoys
And give a friendly smile to mermaids.
Yes, they are beautiful
And I too love them
But they are belong to sea
And don't forget that you have lot of friends ashore!

*Humbly to our grandson Siluna!
Today is our 38th Wedding Anniversary and you're in the Indian Ocean and We're in Atlantic,
Oceans are apart!

Coffee

Coffee, cake and tea
Where are all the jonquils
March has come late
Without a yellow promise
Without a breath of warm air

The sea is shallow
Without shells
Just goes on an on
Not even up to my knees

And she talks of heresay
Conjectures, probilities
on and on and
Oh and on

Fools make mistakes
Wise men err
To one man the sun sets
To another he rises to the occasion

One more time for M'lady Ernestine

I yearn to see the dragons fly.
Just one more time before I die
As I did so long ago.
Around Mount Kilimanjaro

I slept beneath the moonlit sky
and often saw the dragons fly.
It was a privilege to see
the dragons dancing gracefully

But I fell ill and had to go
back to the city far below.
Where the doctors treating me
convinced me it was fantasy.

Induced by fever of the brain.
When I was fully fit again
a crisis in the family.
Meant that I was no longer free

To indulge my wanderlust
I had no choice but to adjust
to the rules of society.
I am sure where I’d rather be.

In Africa where I could see
The silver dragons flying free.
I know I have not long to live
But what I have I’d gladly give.

To see the dragons one last time
To see them circle swoop and climb
Around mount Kilimanjaro
As I did so long ago.

Loves lament

Loves Lament.

The dragon sings his mating song
and voices his sad loneliness.
To be alone he feels is wrong
he seeks a mate a dragoness.

He sings it from the mountain peaks.
A song of love and tenderness
He lets the world know that he seeks
to find a mate a dragoness.

But female dragons are so rare
his hopes of happiness are few.
His lament fills the upper air
there’s nothing else that he can do.

He sings his love song every night
when day is done and twilight falls.
He hopes one day that he just might
receive an answer to his calls.

He sings his plaintive melody
resounding clearly everywhere
and always listens carefully.
He’s sure that there must be somewhere.

A dragoness who’s lonely too.
One fine night he hears a voice
an answer that’s long overdue.
His heart aflame he must rejoice.

A dragoness has heard his call
and from afar she quickly flew
. She lands upon his eyrie wall.
says” I am Flame but who are you”

He bows to her and he replies
“ My name is Star I live alone.
Your coming took me by surprise
The greatest gift that I have known”

She says that she too seeks a mate.
His love call lifted her despair.
Perchance it’s time to celebrate.
She thinks they’ll make a lovely pair.

He then proposes formally
for Dragons are a polite race
and she accepts him readily
and couches her reply in grace.

But still each night the dragon sings
of how he loves his dragoness.
Enfolds her safely in his wings
and treats her with great tenderness.

You may not think my tale is true.
For fools say dragons don’t exist
I can assure you that they do.
That’s why the legends still persist.

Although they may be far and few.
If you are lucky you may see
a pair of dragons: If you do
then just enjoy it quietly.

There is no need to brag and boast.
you will be labelled as insane.
But you are luckier than most
to see the dragons fly again.
