Dragon's Delight
dragon's fire,
dragon's flame,
dragons dance and dragons play,
filled with darkness,
filled with light,
these dragons feel so delighted,
the bonfire blazes,
the dragons dance,
as the moon's twilight sets in the east,
their dance turns with fire,
as it turns into an inferno,
the dragons eyes shine like diamonds,
as the night continues into the day.

I believe in Fairies too for M lady Ernestine
Sometimes at night across the sky.
I see the silver dragons fly.
Although not everyone can see
the dragons dancing gracefully.
My friends think I have lost the plot
but I assure them I have not.
I don’t know why they cannot see
what is so very clear to me.
Perhaps I have an open mind
and they do not, so they are blind.
Moonlight reflecting on their scales.
This is a sight that never fails
to make me stop and realise.
Some cannot see though they have eyes.
They don’t believe the evidence
of their own eyes. It makes no sense.
Because they can’t believe it’s true
and won’t adjust their point of view.
But I believe and I can see
the dragons flying easily.
When twilight falls if you just try,
you too will see them fly
Unless you too, have closed your
mind and don’t believe in dragon kind.

Pax Draconis
In days of old when dragons flew
amongst the clouds for all to see
They did not hide no reason to.
Men viewed them most respectfully.
They did no harm but culled the herds
of beasts too numerous to count.
No voice of protest to be heard,
the race of men of small account.
But men bred most prolifically.
Always their population grew.
The dragons lacked fertility
their numbers dwindled to a few.
Then man decided in his pride
to prove human supremacy.
It would be best if Dragons died.
The last few dragons forced to flee.
These Dragons hid themselves
away from man’s insensate cruelty
but swore that one day man would pay.
Rebuilt their numbers secretly.
The Dragons now are numerous.
Though disbelieved by modern man,
odd sightings seen as spurious.
Prepare themselves to rule again.
The U.F.O.s that some men see.
Not aliens from outer space
but Dragons flying fast and free.
New champions of the dragon race.
When they decide the time is right
they will erase the human race.
Take the revenge they feel is right
and once more take their rightful place.
As rulers of the earth and sky.
Mans handiwork will rot away.
With no man left to wonder why.
This was the price they had to pay.
The earth will be a place of peace
without mankind’s belligerence.
At last the endless wars will cease.
The dragon race have much more sense.
Though creatures will still kill to eat
As Mother Nature meant them to.
On equal terms they will compete.
When all the Dragons dreams come true.

Red Rose and Red Dragon (Poem 2 from Roses Series)
Be careful with this wild red rose,
no human planted it.
It was a red dragon.
You touch it,
you burn...Literally.
You'll feel the reign of it's fire.
You touch the red dragons red rose,
he might not burn you to death,
instead he might rip you apart.
Leaving bloody pieces behind.
So, if you don't want to have,
a red dragons wrath upon you...
I suggest you not touch the red rose.
It'll serve you good.
Beware of the red dragon,
when it comes to its' red rose.

Fighting Dragons
For fighting the fate
I need to be brave
Gathering courage for
Hunting all
The dragons of our time.
In our dreams
No dragons must appear,
Go chase them out of our world.
Dreaming of dragons
Remembering good times
As a legend that still shines
Gather all your force to fight
Or get the help of a brave knight.
No one must ever destroy our dreams
So keep on fighting the dragons.
Dragons
well im watching the dragons as they make another claim
he used to be a friend of mine, i called him by his name
well theres nothing you can say to nirvana when its packed up in a syringe
we'll call up your mama and bus in all your friends
well im watching the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight
beth lost her sister, they came and they took her away
and there aint enough pills in the world and nothing i can say
so i tell her i love her and that shes a friend
and each time i leave her, i wonder if i'll see her again
well im watching the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight
then i look in the mirror
the dragon has many forms
i wonder if hes coming for me
because i have been forewarned
well im wathing the dragons
as they slither out of sight
and i wonder who'll be sleeping alone tonight

Dragon's Fire
What is held
In the dragons fire
Is it power
Or is it life
Burning down things
Making new things grow
Trees and grass
Falling to ash
Castles and knights
Arrows and swords
Weapons to kill
One another
Wings flap
In the sky
Noises coming
From afar
They are the noises
Of dragons roaring
Scaly bodies
Powerful claws
Teeth are still
Razor sharp
Blowing fire
From deep within
It is made
From there hearts
So what to see
Inside these yellow flames
Of the dragons fire

Chaos Rules for Friend Thad
The Dragoness last of her race.
Lies somnolent beneath the sun,
there will be none to take her place.
Remembering her youth long gone.
Three thousand years of life she’s seen.
The Dragons are a long lived race.
She can recall when there had been
a world of peace, a perfect place.
But upstart monkeys, protomen.
A warlike and fast breeding race
which quickly and grew again.
Usurped the Dragons living space.
They forced the Dragons to withdraw
from where they’d lived for centuries.
But still the men demanded more
of the fertile territories.
Though Dragons were more powerful.
By nature peaceably inclined
did not resist as usual
and this encouraged humankind.
To spread across each continent
and keep the Dragons in retreat.
Their numbers grew incontinent.
The Dragon race could not compete.
The Dragons rule brought to a close
The age of peace on earth was gone
simply because the dragons chose
not to resist.Should they have done?
That is the question in her mind
as she waits patiently to die.
The last survivor of her kind
She asks but she gets no reply.
The human race now rules supreme.
Rather a doubtful victory
A night mare fashioned from a dream
for man is mans worst enemy.

Troll Named John
There is a Troll that nobody knows
-only the Princess Sarah Star -
who Troll protects so.
The Troll's first name is really John
who fights Razel ice dragons all night long—
Even when he's tired he still sings a funny song.
This funny song makes Razel ice dragons go back to sleep-
Troll has to make sure Princess Sarah Star is safe as sheep.
Protecting the Princess Sarah Star
from Razel ice dragon's ice fire—
Troll has abundant energy he never does tire.
Troll eats a lot of green mystical flowers—
they give him very magical powers.
The funny Troll must toll and fight—
Razel ice dragon can't stand the smell
of Troll's bad breathe late at night.
Troll also makes a funny sound-
that brings Razel ice dragons to the ground.
It's a loud roar that he does from his
gigantic creaky brown bridge door…
The door opens and funny Troll comes out—
he starts to bang around, stamping with a shout.
Princess Sarah Star hears this high up on her balcony—
then a fight that starts near the Ferronian trees.
Luckily funny Troll has power in that domain
he has traps that make Razel ice dragons go insane.
Now Princess Sarah Star can sleep soundly at last—
for funny Troll has made sure Razel ice dragons
are melted without a freezing chance!

Dragons
In the year of the Jade Emperor,
In the time of the people’s pain,
The sun was hot, the people groaned
The sky gave up no rain;
‘The sky gave up no rain, ’ he said,
‘The ground was dry as a bone,
There were no rivers or lakes to feed
The crops that the people owned.
The rice lay waste in the paddy fields,
The people ate bark and clay,
While on the shores of the Eastern Sea
Four dragons laughed and played.’
‘These creatures, made of snake and claw,
Of horn, and fire and scale,
Looked down to see the people pray,
To hear the people wail,
So Black, and Yellow, Long and Pearl,
For these were the dragons’ names,
Felt sad for the people’s plight, and said,
“We must bring on the rain! ”
Without the rain, the people die,
They are so poor and thin,
We needs must enter at Heaven’s Gate
So He will intervene! ’
‘They flew to the Jade Emperor
Who promised to send them rain,
But then sat back with his minstrel songs,
Forgot the people’s pain.
For ten long days the dragons paused
To wait the darkening clouds,
But only saw the people cry,
Lay out their dead in shrouds.
They laid their dead in shrouds, ’ he said,
‘The lastborn to the first,
The dragons said, “He heeds us not,
Won’t slake the people’s thirst.”’
‘The dragons flew to the Eastern Sea,
They knew it would bring them pain,
But to ease the hurt of the brown, dead earth
What else, but the soothing rain?
Now, dragons’ care for man’s despair,
His hopes, his joys, his tears,
They send their many blessings down,
Relieve the people’s fears.
They flew on out to the Eastern Sea
Its waters so clear and deep,
They flung it up to the heavens high
That what they’d sow, they’d reap.’
Then down it came in a storm of rain
That fed the people’s joy,
They laughed aloud at this water cloud
That the dragons had employed.
The moment the Jade Emperor
By the Sea God was informed,
He stamped and raged, and bellowed loud
That he would not be scorned!
He called his Generals and his troops,
To make the dragons’ answer,
Then called the Mountain God to him
To lie on them forever!
Caught fast beneath a mountain each
The dragons still were glad,
They’d saved the people from their pain,
The price they paid was sad;
But not unbearable, they thought,
So Long, and Black and Yellow,
With Pearl, devised another plan
That they might ever follow.
They turned themselves to rivers wide
To flow across each valley,
From West to East, the Long, the Black,
The Pearl flows, and the Yellow.
Four dragons’ that once cared for man,
Four dragons’ spread their tails,
They fed the crops that man might eat,
Might sing or dance, not wail;
The Heilongjiang is River Black,
The Dragon of the north,
And south of him, the Huanghe flows,
The Yellow Dragon’s course;
The Yangtze is the Dragon Long,
The Changjiang, to the mouth,
While Pearl is now the Zhujiang,
The Dragon of the south.

One more time for M'lady Ernestine
I yearn to see the dragons fly.
Just one more time before I die
As I did so long ago.
Around Mount Kilimanjaro
I slept beneath the moonlit sky
and often saw the dragons fly.
It was a privilege to see
the dragons dancing gracefully
But I fell ill and had to go
back to the city far below.
Where the doctors treating me
convinced me it was fantasy.
Induced by fever of the brain.
When I was fully fit again
a crisis in the family.
Meant that I was no longer free
To indulge my wanderlust
I had no choice but to adjust
to the rules of society.
I am sure where I’d rather be.
In Africa where I could see
The silver dragons flying free.
I know I have not long to live
But what I have I’d gladly give.
To see the dragons one last time
To see them circle swoop and climb
Around mount Kilimanjaro
As I did so long ago.

Voluntary exile.
One day the dragons will return.
A privilege we have to earn.
The fled from our belligerence
They had to flee in self defence.
The dragons know humanity
Has not yet reached maturity.
The do not doubt that in due course.
Men will give up the use of force.
To resolve every argument.
But talk when war is imminent.
Learn to use diplomacy.
Which works much more effectively.
Than fighting for supremacy
When two nations disagree.
This world could be a paradise.
If we can learn to compromise.
The dragons will return again.
Resume their mentorship of man
When we mature sufficiently
and can agree to disagree.
The dragons know the day will come
when once again they are welcome.
To arbitrate impartially
as mentors of humanity.
Although I may not live to see
The silver dragons flying free
Above the earth as they should be.
The guardians of humanity.
Is this a dream, a fantasy
Which is peculiar to me?
That judgement I must leave to you.
Though I believe it to be true.

Loves lament
Loves Lament.
The dragon sings his mating song
and voices his sad loneliness.
To be alone he feels is wrong
he seeks a mate a dragoness.
He sings it from the mountain peaks.
A song of love and tenderness
He lets the world know that he seeks
to find a mate a dragoness.
But female dragons are so rare
his hopes of happiness are few.
His lament fills the upper air
there’s nothing else that he can do.
He sings his love song every night
when day is done and twilight falls.
He hopes one day that he just might
receive an answer to his calls.
He sings his plaintive melody
resounding clearly everywhere
and always listens carefully.
He’s sure that there must be somewhere.
A dragoness who’s lonely too.
One fine night he hears a voice
an answer that’s long overdue.
His heart aflame he must rejoice.
A dragoness has heard his call
and from afar she quickly flew
. She lands upon his eyrie wall.
says” I am Flame but who are you”
He bows to her and he replies
“ My name is Star I live alone.
Your coming took me by surprise
The greatest gift that I have known”
She says that she too seeks a mate.
His love call lifted her despair.
Perchance it’s time to celebrate.
She thinks they’ll make a lovely pair.
He then proposes formally
for Dragons are a polite race
and she accepts him readily
and couches her reply in grace.
But still each night the dragon sings
of how he loves his dragoness.
Enfolds her safely in his wings
and treats her with great tenderness.
You may not think my tale is true.
For fools say dragons don’t exist
I can assure you that they do.
That’s why the legends still persist.
Although they may be far and few.
If you are lucky you may see
a pair of dragons: If you do
then just enjoy it quietly.
There is no need to brag and boast.
you will be labelled as insane.
But you are luckier than most
to see the dragons fly again.

Sea Dragons
Along Australia’s meandering coastline
Live a bevy of remarkable sea life
But none so spectacular then
The elegant sea dragons
Part myth but weedy camouflage
Their long thin bodies like needles
And elongated snouts
Make the sea dragon hard to detect
Now endangered the leafy sea dragon
Is immortalised a the marine emblem
Of South Australia
Like their cousins the sea horses
They live in the depths of the sea
Male dragons conceive and maintain the brood
Until they hatch and whilst mother dragon
Swim nearby like the imperial guards of old
Guarding their offspring against predators
So should you ever be lucky enough
You might cast an eye on this elegant creature
The supermodels of the deep!
My Dragon and I
I sat one night on hill top high
And hummed the saddest tune
The thoughts i had just made me cry
As i stared at the moon
I felt the earth begin to shake
Below my trembling feet
The hill such sounds began to make
I really was quite beat
I glanced below, let out a wail
For something there was heaving
I'd sat upon a dragon's tale
And he was fire breathing!
'Spare me! dragon I am small
I cannot be that tasty! '
He soon replied with dragon's roar
'I'm really not that hasty'
'I wondered why your crying so
Your sobs woke me from sleeping,
I thought that you may share them so
Those saddest thoughts you're keeping'
So there i sat and spoke my mind
About the thoughts I kept
And how i stared up at the moon
And cried while he had slept
'Sadness is an awful thing'
He murmured as he thought
'At times like this i often sing!
though dragons didn't ought'
'Oh great! ' cried I with impish grin
emblazoned on my face
'Let's hit some notes some low some high
and rock this lonely place! '
So there we were on hill top high
My Dragon friend and me
Just singing songs for all we're worth
We carried on 'till tea.
The moral of my little tale?
It's great to be enlightened
Should you hear a Dragons wail
Then don't be quite so frightened!

My Talk of Dragons
My talk is never at cost, it does not earn wages,
The dragons and its language despise with buzzes.
The armour of the reptilian race shall be noble,
Force talking, force information from the abnormal.
My talk shall not enter prisons all the time,
Do not hear them who speak with a mime.
They are scared of dragons, for they wrote their words,
Arguing why they heard or not, even in the blizzards.
My sages will confer with me, and upright are the dragons
Who flew over my head and then encircled us with disruptions.

Muggy Dragon
muggy day
dragon day
muggy dragon day
in the mud
dragons play
on this muddy, muggy, dragon day
murky water dragon slips
under surface, under ships
rocking them slightly
scaring them wildly
laughing silently
blowing bubbles
surfacing flying
immune to dying
dreading the isolation
that's bound to come

Us Two
Wherever I am, there's always Pooh,
There's always Pooh and Me.
Whatever I do, he wants to do,
"Where are you going today?" says Pooh:
"Well, that's very odd 'cos I was too.
Let's go together," says Pooh, says he.
"Let's go together," says Pooh.
"What's twice eleven?" I said to Pooh.
("Twice what?" said Pooh to Me.)
"I think it ought to be twenty-two."
"Just what I think myself," said Pooh.
"It wasn't an easy sum to do,
But that's what it is," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what it is," said Pooh.
"Let's look for dragons," I said to Pooh.
"Yes, let's," said Pooh to Me.
We crossed the river and found a few-
"Yes, those are dragons all right," said Pooh.
"As soon as I saw their beaks I knew.
That's what they are," said Pooh, said he.
"That's what they are," said Pooh.
"Let's frighten the dragons," I said to Pooh.
"That's right," said Pooh to Me.
"I'm not afraid," I said to Pooh,
And I held his paw and I shouted "Shoo!
Silly old dragons!"- and off they flew.
"I wasn't afraid," said Pooh, said he,
"I'm never afraid with you."
So wherever I am, there's always Pooh,
There's always Pooh and Me.
"What would I do?" I said to Pooh,
"If it wasn't for you," and Pooh said: "True,
It isn't much fun for One, but Two,
Can stick together, says Pooh, says he. "That's how it is," says Pooh.

Ode to the dragon
I was inspired to express my love for dragons in old-English.
This ode which is called an irregular ode glorifies the dragon.
In Asiatic cultures, dragons are worshiped for their wisdom and longevity.
Though thy teeth be sharp, and thy claws great, waste not thy strength on me,
for thy beauty doth pierce mine heart worse than any wound.
Do not waste thy breath upon me, for I burn already a passion far greater than I can bear.
Oh dragon, hold back not thine beauty from mine eyes any longer, spread thy wings for me, let me see thy grace, thy majesty, thy glory complete!
Though thy scales turn away the sword, they can not turn away my love for thee.
Though thy wings block the sun, they can not block mine thoughts so bright of thee.
Though thy eyes stare death, I...only have eyes... for thee.
