If the warrior's spirit has not escaped, the battle is still going on.

The Way Of The Warrior
Our time has come, get ready fight
Sisters and brothers in metal unite
The dreams that you had are about to come true
The voice of the warrior is calling for you
Turn your own deeds to his gracious glory,
And he will make you see
This is the way we want it to be
This is the way of the warrior
This is the way we want it to be
Walking the way, the honest will see
Walking the way of the warrior
Walking the way, the way of the warrior
Blood-red the steel of our swords shall flow
And by the allegiance were ready to go
Stout are the foe, in warfare so bold
Nothing can stop us, the future we hold
Brace up, defend,
Never ever be outdone in bravery
This is the way we want it to be
This is the way of the warrior
This is the way we want it to be
Walking the way, the honest will see
Walking the way of the warrior
Walking the way, the way of the warrior
The saints and the sinners in battle so bright, as the forces of steel will unite
The way of the warrior, the call of his life, shall lead us all into the light
The metal crusade will conquer all
Our bonds will be stronger, see the infidels fall
Surrender your soul to the gods of steel
In the blood of the fallen the enemies kneel
Turn your own deeds to his gracious glory,
And he will make you see
Brace up, defend,
Never ever be outdone in bravery
This is the way we want it to be
This is the way of the warrior
This is the way we want it to be
Walking the way, the honest will see
Walking the way of the warrior
Walking the way, the way of the warrior
This is the way we want it
This is the way we need it
This is the way of the warrior
This is the way we want it
This is the way we need it
This is the way of the warrior
This is the way

The Warrior's Fear
The warrior waits, with fear.
Fear of never returning
Fear of losing all he has.
Fear for his family, without him.
Fear of letting them down.
Fear of letting his captain down.
Fear of letting his friends down.
The warrior kneels to the ground.
He prays, prays for a long time.
The warrior stands up.
He feels no longer fear, but security.
The warrior charges into battle,
Determined.
Ready.
No longer fearful.
Never to return.
Warrior
Wasnt there a time
When no one lived in pain
Zero down to zero
But a warrior
The innocence of birth
The power of the earth
Out of all thats good
Comes a warrior
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
Justice has been gone
To pieces for so long
Some killers call themselves
A warrior
Warriors with no pride
Committing suicide
The picture of a man
Thats your warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Think about the time
Where manhood promised pride
And history was made
Just by warriors
We have to face the world
And hope that someones heard
Who could replace a man
Like the warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior..........

To achieve the mood of a warrior is not a simple matter. It is a revolution. To regard the lion and the water rats and our fellow men as equals is a magnificent act of a warrior's spirit. It takes power to do that.

Warrior
I stand and battle
anything or anyone in my path
i will never back down
because i am a man with pride
i am a warrior inside
i have beaten everything
known to man
i will not bow
to anything lower than me
i will carry my body through this war
i will say this
you have won the fight
but you will never win the war
there is something
you did not know
i had inside me
having courage, passion and pride
is what kind of warrior
I AM!

A Courageous Battle
A courageous battle is being fought
By so many people today.
They've been stricken down with sickness
That has come their way.
Whether it's in the mind or body
It takes away their peace..
It's with them constantly, never ending
Until the pain does cease.
Those that are older seem to accept it
Better than the young.
And when it's a child, they are the strongest
For they seem to have hung
Their battle for life on a clothesline
Flowing with the breeze,
Never fearing the unknown at all
Facing their battle with ease.
This battle for life seems futile at times
But still we fight anyhow.
For that's the spirit of humanity at work
In its battle before its bow.

Warrior, Mind and Soul
come to think of it...
my head is tilted toward and against
breaking the wall of enmity, chatting with mighty warrior
victory has come to stay...
i cannot be a slave to the soul that weak, crawling, no not me
i will show my trophy to the simple soul, but the warrior
rejoice with me.
travel in thick darkness, fear nothing but the flies the can touch and reach me soul and mind because strength come within
i cannot stay here any more, lofty in the air ready to fly
because even warrior and the mighty have gone to sleep
rule my world among the simple..
sleep sleep sleep they said but...
no soldier sleep not in the battle unless is ready to be sacrificed inn the shire... yes winner wins and loser lose
all in the shadow of illusion... fear cast away standing
on the hill and say
victory! victory! victory.. to the mind and soul of the warrior

All Around
1
You are with me
And there are goodness
Victory and glory
all around.
2
I rejoice again
and again and again
at your presence
and for sacred and
mystic conversation.
The most wanderful
Forms I have
ever seen.
3
I have seen in you
what is out of sight
I have heard of you
what is out of hearing
I have grasped
what is out of grasping
It is only due to
my poem my emotion
Without which there
is vacuum.
4
I have seen the battle
battle with myself
battle with my kith and kins
battle with past Present
and future and got nothing
and lost everything.
This battle is between
mine and yours.
This battle is between
ignorance and knowledge
and a troublesome voyage.
5
Mighty most talented heros
warrior chief all present.
Fight is unavoidable.
Tacitly or expressly
You have to play your
role to declare result.
Who am I?
6
Vanishing everything
so also I.
I a vassal
and not in a
position to keep
all me dream here
in this field.
Though appear
I am not able to
answer in the exam.
Night begin night end
Day present
that I never want.
7
To commit mistake
is but common
To realise and not
to commit further
is important.
Suffice to say
One has to face
and lose many a thing
though not his.
8
Entire family entire clan
entire nation become
entangled with this battle.
What to say
Nothing is personal
Belief not hearsay.

When a warrior goes to a battle, he does not abandon his friends.
Son Of Africa
Listen Africa listen!
Listen to the words of a stallion
Listen as I speak of a giant,
An African giant
A giant entangled by his own hand made snares
Yes! Indodana ya se Africa
Un-wax your ears and Listen
Great warrior of the chimurenga,
Phela you stood against white powers
And liberated black wishes
Against the Blairs and Bushes you stood.
Courageous, you battled the spite of the Smith.
Now listen Ndodana ya se Africa
Hear this young stallion galloping towards the truth.
In Limbo you stand snared by your own snares
In Limbo, you warrior remain just a memory
Hau lalela son of the soil,
It’s your people who go under the soil
Their calabashes are dry, they go under the soil.
Under the soil their bellies lie empty
Hau lalela Ndodana ya se Africa
Listen son of Africa
Do not stand as proud as death
Do not let its sting be your companion
An African warrior you must once more become
Adorn the spirit of Madiba, No easy walk to freedom
Remember...Listen...Remember.
T he Ndukus and the rocks, Africa’s weapons of old
Now Son of the Soil’s desires battle against Africa
Hau listen son of Africa
Lalela...listen...lalela

Weekend Warrior
The rebel of yesterday tomorrows fool
Who are you kidding being that cool?
Trying to break away from runnung with the pack
But they aint listening so youve gotta go back
Youre a wekkend warrior when youre one of the crowd
But its over, just look at you now...
Youre not so brave the way you behave
It makes you sick gotta get out quick
Its all bravado when youre out with your mates
Its like a different perso goes through those gates
As the game begins the adrenalins high
Feel the tension, maybe someone will die...
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you aint that way anymore
Youve gotta get out gotta get away
But youre in with a clique its not easy to stray
Youve gotta admit youre just living a lie
It didnt take long to work out why
Its hard to say why you got involved
Just wanting to be part, just wanting to belong...
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you aint that way anymore
Some of the things that youve done you feel so ashamed
After all its only a game... isnt it?
And after all the adrenalins gone
What you gonna do on monday?
A weekend warrior lately
A weekend warrior sometimes
A weekend warrior maybe you were never like that at all

Medicine Bag
From the time christened warrior,
‘round his neck, tied by thong.
It like a talisman, mysterious,
the buckskin pouch hung.
As if retaining a secret,
captive, within leather bond.
The warrior cherished the satchel deeply,
for it never left his charge.
Should he ever become troubled,
sought vision of council and wisdom.
With his pouch held to the heavens,
called forth his Spirit Guide.
The warrior gazed into blue skies,
chanting loud his quandary.
Seeking guidance to reveal,
and light the trail to truth.
What magic was held captive,
within that mysterious sack?
He bequeathed upon me earned confidence,
held open that buckskin parcel.
I saw bits of stone, colored beads,
some feathers small.
An arrowhead with broken shaft,
a rifle’s ball stained dark.
He sensed my unasked question,
and spoke with almost reverent tone.
“Each item I have collected,
bears a portion of my life.
To you they may mean naught,
to me each a message.
Sent by my Spirit Leader,
that my time is yet to come.
As long as I carry my Medicine Bag,
life’s battles I shall survive.
Through its magic, should I need,
to speak with my Spirit Leader I may.”
From behind, ominous rattles I heard.
I was sure, my time had come.
I heard the swish of the warrior’s blade.
The rattling at once ceased.
Then in my hand he placed,
six bony beads.
“A message from your Spirit Leader.
Time to start your medicine bag.”28Nov08

Mystic warrior
One man crawls to the gate
screams in rage of his fate.
Village seeks vengeance
with razered steel.
Rolling madness
on spiked wheels.
Dead warriors carried
home on shields.
One lone warrior lance held high
old mans wisdom young mans eyes
Mystic warrior courage abides
just his presence gives others pride
Mother told him brave son
but she knew he'd never run
Honer glory conquest done
love of battle bloodshed begun
One lone warrior lance held high
old mans wisdom young mans eyes
Mystic warrior courage abides
just his presence gives others pride
I wrote this at 15 and never finished it.
Part of it was used in a song for a local band so I stopped writting it.
A Warrior Has Come Home
Waiting all this time for that one warrior,
Challenges through these hard times
Crying and being alone at night,
Her warrior has finally come home.
His life meaningless before,
Day after day
Same routine.
The warrior has finally come home.
The things he has seen
No one will ever know
The cries he has heard
No one will ever hear.
Children in the future
Will never know the pain and fear
Never encounter the enemy
They will be free.
Today,
A parade travels through the city
People showing respect and loyalty,
A warrior has come home.
The end of the parade has finally come,
They lower the casket
With tears in her eyes,
A friend says a few words.
This warrior was brave.
Served his country
No regards to his life
He found peace and meaning to his life.
Shots were heard all over the city,
Heads are bowed in respect for the warrior
Prayers are sent up above
For the warrior who has finally come home.
Song of Warriors and Saints
Sing me a song
That could lull me to sleep
And make me dream
Of my dream before I weep...
For in my sleep
I may see again
Visions I cannot remember
At dawn when I was awake.
And when my skin is seared
By the scorching heat
Of day, my sweet dreams
And the song can heal the pain.
Sing to me the song
Of a courageous warrior
In the field of battle
That leads to honor and the grave...
But in death, the warrior sees
The struggle to fight
For freedom and equality
Is his poem of elegy...
And in his wake,
The living sing a new song
And to his funeral they march
With a jaunty heart!
Sing to me the song
Of Solomon or Socrates -
The right way - or the road
To perdition and to shame!
Or the songs of angels
That lift my ailing spirit-
For the good and the truth,
In my heart, I always seek...
And with a melodious cry
My world is free of lies
And I live the life
I longed for before I die...
For the song in my dream
Is the song of all songs-
The song of warriors and saints!

Since I From Love
Since I from Love escaped am so fat,
I ne'er think to be in his prison ta'en;
Since I am free, I count him not a bean.
He may answer, and saye this and that;
I do no force, I speak right as I mean;
Since I from Love escaped am so fat.
Love hath my name struck out of his slat,
And he is struck out of my bookes clean,
For ever more; there is none other mean;
Since I from Love escaped am so fat.

The Spirit Is Willing
The Holy Spirit inside is willing, through The Lord’s Holy filling,
But our flesh can be weak, even when we’re humble and meek.
When fleshly desires are strong, inner thoughts may be wrong,
Which leads many hearts to stray, from The Lord’s narrow way.
It is that quiet inner voice, that guards my thoughts and choice,
This, as I am confronted with, those daily choices on how I live,
In a world that opposes light, that preaches wrong is really right,
Thinking that’s so contrary to, the Spirit Christ gave me and you.
Although the Spirit lives within, a choice is made by us not Him,
And I can reject His gentle plea, thinking not of Christ, only me.
With a gentleness from within, He warns hearts to flee from sin,
Guiding us through The Light, back to the way we know is right.
So that spiritual battle inside, a believer’s heart can’t be denied,
As sin crouches at every door, to hinder our walk with The Lord.
Even as believers go astray, God’s Spirit to our hearts will say,
This is not the way to go, from that Truth we’ve come to know.
But as the battle stirs deep inside, The Spirit continues to abide,
As the battle rages, and it will, we need to remain quiet and still.
For He inside me’s greater than, the evil cunning of wicked men,
And only He fills me with peace, that from God will never cease.

Rondeau III
Syn I fro love escaped am so fat,
I nere thinke to ben in his prison lene;
Syn I am fre, I count hym not a bene.
He may answere, and sey this and that,
I do no fors, I speke ryght as I mene ;
Syn I fro love escaped am so fat.
Love hath my name i-strike out of his sclat,
And he is strike out of my bokes clene :
For ever mo ther is non other mene,
Syn I fro love escaped &c.
