Our life is frittered away by detail. An honest man has hardly need to count more than his ten fingers, or in extreme cases he may add his ten toes, and lump the rest. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!

The Compulsion To Settle For Simplicity....
there is no denying that as a native
i think like a native
am no Englishman from
London Bridge
but a Bisayan from
Mindanao,
as such, i have no choice
but just to be myself,
in the utter simplicity of my language
translating myself
word by word in the nuances of
your Anglo-American world,
there is this attempt to be a part of
your world
did they say that Enlightenment?
that Genius of ideas
is only possible in your world
and not in the
land of my ancestors who know
nothing but only about spices and
spears and arrows and
jugs of wine and tattoos and
barbaric songs?
let me say what i want to say
in a few vocabularies
you may not listen, but at least
i have spoken.
I am thus compelled for that
simplicity that allows me to write this way.
Because i have nothing more
to offer you
Because what i have is only this
insistence to open my heart
and speak
what little love is still
left in there.

The genius of the French language, descended from its single Latin stock, has triumphed most in the contrary direction - in simplicity, in unity, in clarity, and in restraint.

Brilliant Genius, April Fool So Tedious
April Fool So Tedious……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius …..,
Through an elite prism he sees us……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius …..,
One step short of Jesus…….,
No doubt he doesn’t need us……,
And would never heed us……,
But wants to clothe and feed us……,
Poor bare lawn, he’d even seed us…….,
Just like a lonely, forlorn Venus……,
April Fool So Tedious……,
Brilliant Genius, Brilliant Genius…..! ! !

Lyrical Genius,
lyrical genius,
compare the man of genius,
to all those,
who wish to reach our level,
when you see me,
I got lyric's,
The diction of poetry,
the euphoric nature,
the rythmic tone,
the man of genius reveal's some occult power,
morals and grace,
not playing the victim of false pity,
just like will power,
in nothingness of distinguish character,
the prodigy in the society,
the seeing as the menace,
the crime from man of genius,
man of genius reveal's so much poetic language,
write some classic lyric's,
think of another enigma,
nostalgia, retribution,
bloody fiend,
all those men of genius from history did these,
genius has to go with the moral's,
grace and morality,
will to create in humanity,
not to ruin humanity,
think and act right,
the world belong's to us.

It is not because the touch of genius has roused genius to production, but because the admiration of genius has made talent ambitious, that the harvest is still so abundant.

Runaway Genius
Running & running, of course i know where I'm going, I'm a genius.
Running & running faster now, my family is coming, yelling, & screaming. I know why, I'm a genius.
Running & running faster than before, here comes my friends with bats & sticks. I know why they're coming, I'm a genius.
Running & Running as fast as I can, here comes more people with pots & pans. I know why they're chasing me, I'm a genius.
Eventually, I tire out & begin to jog.
But as soon as I stop here comes the mob. I was about to resume running but then I turned around. The mob was in silence, then I ask a very simple but complex question, 'What is the meaning os life? ' I know of course, I'm a genius.

A Fine Culture
They were indeed simple people
the people of the east
A FINE CULTURE they did have
the people of the east
A FINE CULTURE
the east should have given the rest
when the west brought out the 'machine'
the east brought out the 'human'
Today's world is not lacking in machine
Today's world is lacking in human
Today's east is sending 'productive men' all over
the east should have sent 'human men' all over
How did the east stray?
when did it loose it's way?
The east then found everything in simplicity
simplicity was it's strength and beauty
simplicity gave the east it's integrity
simplicity never ever gave the east an inferiority
Today the east mocks the west
the 'material' wealth of the west..has
put to rest...the
true spirit of the east
We blame it on simplicity
we say we were plundered due to our simplicity
a handed down book on simplicity
only became a liability..we say
What the west had gained
everybody did gain...the 'machine'
what the east had lost
everbody did loose...the 'human'
Today what are we in
an 'un human' man is managing a dangerous dumb 'machine'...and
THAT'S THE DANGER WE ARE IN...without
a fine culture

Simplicity
Simplicity...
Isn't often easy to achieve,
When teased by variety.
And those assortments of life.
Yet when simplicity arrives,
As a necessity...
One is able to breathe deeply,
With a sense of peace and clarity.

Genius Born To Break Rules
slant rhyme corrected
poetry teacher corrections
stuck in muddy rules
the great and genius
are born to break rules
mainstream adhered
seasoned esteemed
recognized poetry teacher
had taught his poetry
classes for decades
basking in certainty
of set academic rules
inferior gerund form
not to be maturity used
in verse perfect line
please do not
embarrass him
do not mention
masterful classical poem
'The Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner'
one of the greatest poems
ever written
penned to paper
dramatic verse
immediacy of active
masterful gerund form
infuses genius verse

Waxed dreams
Broken crayon
grimy orange,
Smudges of
dirt, of love,
of hope of angst.
Smooth, waxed
long-ago childish
dreams.
Colourful, vibrant
(now dulled)
memories of
candy-luminous
clouds and infantile
simplicity.
Broken dreams.
Or a broken
red crayon,
angry
and lying forgotten
on the cold
hard, grey floor.
