When I Borrow

I borrow some blue from the sky,
Pour them on my sadness
And living becomes joy!
I borrow some laughter from the spring,
Rub them over my face
And returns my happiness!
I borrow a little of the tree's selflessness
Plant them in my heart
And living becomes caring for others!
I borrow some radiance of the sun,
Store them in my eyes
And all darkness is illumined!

Opportunities

I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, i've got the brains
Let's make lots of -
I've had enough of scheming and messing around with jerks
My car is parked outside, i'm afraid it doesn't work
I'm looking for a partner, someone who gets things fixed
Ask yourself this question: do you want to be rich?
I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
You've got the brawn, i've got the brains
Let's make lots of money
You can tell i'm educated, i studied at the sorbonne
Doctored in mathematics, i could have been a don
I can program a computer, choose the perfect time
If you've got the inclination, i have got the crime
Oh, there's a lot of opportunities
If you know when to take them, you know?
There's a lot of opportunities
If there aren't, you can make them
Make or break them
I've got the brains, you've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
Let's make lots of -
(aahhhhh) money
(aahhhhh)
(aahhhhh - di du da di da bu di ba)
You can see i'm single-minded, i know what i could be
How'd you feel about it, come and take a walk with me?
I'm looking for a partner, regardless of expense
Think about it seriously, you know, it makes sense
Let's (got the brains)
Make (got the looks)
Let's make lots of money (oohh money)
(let's) you've got the brawn
(make) i've got the brains
Let's make lots of money (oohh money)
I've got the brains (got the brains)
You've got the looks (got the looks)
Let's make lots of money (oohh money)

Shehanu

Tomorrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.

Morrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.

Then comes tomorrow for your sorrow!
And like the Egyptian Obelisk;
But, your love is unsurpassed.

Pressure, sure, pure, jure, sure, lure, cure;
And from the things to come!
But, i am Shehanu in your neighbourhood.

Not To Temporary Borrow

What is it you are here to prove?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
And,
What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
Untold?
With a telling of a version,
You hope gets sold.

The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!

What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
Well...
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is sustained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and remains unchanged.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!

Their Brains in the Bottom Drawer

With some people, the more power they receive,
and the bigger boots they get,
they file away their brains in the bottom drawer.
Their brains end up where there ass should be,
and their ass where their brains should be.
This leaves everyone to wonder,
did they get a degree in stupidity.

We meet them all the time,
and we all know the old saying,
a little power goes to their head.
How many times
have we heard that said?
Little people with big notions,
well beyond their station.

Some people are born to be leaders,
some others are the righter of wrongs.
Some think they know it all,
but most of them are dumb.
They abuse the power they have acquired
in a most idiotic way,
so in the bottom drawer their brains are bound to stay.

042611I caught between edges

would you buy a car from
your friend so he can get
rid of high dollar payment?
or just say ' i can't afford'
would i have a thought he
would borrow it sometime

i won't subject myself to
questions 'that's... car? '
or worst 'did you borrow? '
i'm in this situation, tough
my only alibi is i have a car
maybe you have better one

You can't imagine how much detail we know about brains. There were 28,000 people who went to the neuroscience conference this year, and every one of them is doing research in brains. A lot of data. But there's no theory. There's a little, wimpy box on top there.

A poet ought not to pick nature's pocket. Let him borrow, and so borrow as to repay by the very act of borrowing. Examine nature accurately, but write from recollection, and trust more to the imagination than the memory.

Always Tomorrow

There's always tomorrow
when you feel like giving up,
and from another day, you can borrow.

When sorrows come your way,
so confused that,
it makes you sway.

Always someone worse than you,
today may be depressing,
but tomorrow will be brand new.

Time heals all wounds,
each day will get better,
and you'll see many moons.

There's always tomorrow,
so don't give up,
and you'll another day borrow.

Ex-Lovers (a found poem*, October,2012)

Borrow my allergies
uptight
as we ate grape
fruits and pinned
numb-
ers-long

Borrow my parts
grandmothers;

Sort out my bank account
sort out my bank account
ridiculously&surely
borrow me
without
an
interest
rate.
Without
love.
Without
the smallest
amount of time
without
posession&thought
Sort out my eye-blink
and piles of money
& messages-
Unpin your palms
to
me.
Unpin your palms
to
me.
And please:

Log off
without
reading
my
in-
box
without
boxing
me
out-
of:
your lipped in a secret alley:
fists.

Four Seasons

Maple leaves of yesterday
Rainbow leaves of morrow
Autumn strolls on its way
Time it fails to borrow.

Ice crystals of yesterday
Snow flowers of morrow
Winter roves on a dray
Time it fails to borrow.

Oak leaves of yesterday
Verdant leaves of morrow
April flows into May
Time it fails to borrow.

Blue blossoms of yesterday
Forget-me-not of morrow
Summer rides a railway
Love overcomes sorrow.

Sistamamalover

I've gone from talkin' to walkin'
You touch me deep down inside
Oh can't you see that I'm fallin'
And I can no longer hide
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
When I get up in the morning ( When I get up in the morning )
I feel like I'm so alive (Feel so alive)
With you it never gets boring (Hmm hmm that's right)
'Cause you always get me high (Get me high)
High
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
I'll never go with another
'Cause baby you are so fly (You know you're fly)
Don't have to live undercover (That's right)
Because I don't have to lie (I don't have to lie baby)
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
You are my everything (My everything!)
My sistamamalover (Sistermama...lover!)
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you (And when I think of you)
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby (I'll always love you)
Like there's no tomorrow (Like there's no tomorrow)
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
(Sistermama...lover!)
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow (Waouh !)-ac

A sister

A sister is

a shoulder to borrow
an ear to bend
clothes to borrow
money to lend

friday night movies
afternoon walks
being together
girly private talks

mending eachothers hearts
crying those tears
planning our future
voicing our fears

our memories together
will never end
not only are you my sister
your my best friend
and to us there will never be an end x x

Sail Away

If youre driftin on an empty ocean
With no wind to fill your sail,
The future, your horizon,
Its like searchin for the holy grail.
You feel theres no tomorrow
As you look into the water below.
Its only your reflection
And you still aint got no place to go.
Time will show,
When, I dont know.
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
Ill be there someday
Oh, woman, I keep returnin
To sing the same old song.
The storys been told, now Im gettin old.
Tell me,where do I belong?
Feel like Im goin to surrender,
Nard times Ive had enough.
If I could find a place to hide my face,
I believe, I could get back up.
Time will show,
When, I dont know.
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday
Sail away tomorrow,
Sailin far away.
To find it steal or borrow.
But Ill be there someday

Unwrap Their Brains From The Cellophane

Unwrap their brains from the cellophane.
Something has curtailed their use.
A preservation will not induce thought.
Who wrapped them up like that anyway?
And 'why' to us have they been brought?

Unwrap their brains from the cellophane.
Resuscitate them quick.
Perhaps they have something to say.
And this action has been legit.

If they had not use them at anytime before...
What makes saving them,
Something to explore?
If the user has ignored them,
What use are they to us?
Shouldn't we continue,
To let them cuss their own existence?
Eliminating for us this fuss.

And like they've done in the past...
Let the brightest amongst them,
Be ignored.
Disrespected.
And distanced...
Until they have become wasted?
And they amongst themselves be trashed.
They alone delight in performing this task!

Where will they be stored?
It is hard enough to move fat asses now.
Don't you think it would be dangerous,
To give them another chore?
And hear complaints of choking yokes,
Their ancestors wore!
We don't need to provide another reason...
For them to sit on stoops.
Drooping to drop,
In front of their doors!

Unwrap their brains from the cellophane.
Something has curtailed their use.
A preservation will not induce thought.
Who wrapped them up like that anyway?
Is there a lesson in this to be taught?
And to whom will this benefit?
These dead brains will not be sought!

Heart Cooks Brain

Slow walk
Its land mine
Its coal mine
Its a bad thought
On the way to God dont know
My brains the burger and my hearts the coal
Im trying to get my head clear
I push things out through my mouth I get refilled through my ears
Im on my way to God dont know or even care
My brains the weak heart, and my hearts the long stairs
Inland from vancouver shore
The ravens and the seagulls push each other inward and outward
Inward and outward
In this place that I call home
My brains the cliff, and my hearts the bitter buffalo
My hearts the bitter buffalo
We tore one down, and erected another there
The match of the century: absence versus thin air
On the way to God dont know
My brains the burger and my hearts the coal
On this life that we call home
The years go fast and the days go so slow
