042611I caught between edges
would you buy a car from
your friend so he can get
rid of high dollar payment?
or just say ' i can't afford'
would i have a thought he
would borrow it sometime
i won't subject myself to
questions 'that's... car? '
or worst 'did you borrow? '
i'm in this situation, tough
my only alibi is i have a car
maybe you have better one

Surprise in Japan - The woman next door
a japanese woman
becomes our friend
then asks to borrow money
our apartment
an old couple before us
took their own lives
We were really surprised by a middle age Japanese woman who came over to borrow money from us, students. Though Japan is an economic power, life is not so rosy as thought to be as the cost of living is extemely high. Most people in Tokyo cannot afford to own their houses. An old couple who lived in our apartment earlier committed suicide because of financial woes.

When I Borrow
I borrow some blue from the sky,
Pour them on my sadness
And living becomes joy!
I borrow some laughter from the spring,
Rub them over my face
And returns my happiness!
I borrow a little of the tree's selflessness
Plant them in my heart
And living becomes caring for others!
I borrow some radiance of the sun,
Store them in my eyes
And all darkness is illumined!

Tomorrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.
Morrow, borrow, sorrow;
But it dates back! !
And today you will still borrow.
Then comes tomorrow for your sorrow!
And like the Egyptian Obelisk;
But, your love is unsurpassed.
Pressure, sure, pure, jure, sure, lure, cure;
And from the things to come!
But, i am Shehanu in your neighbourhood.

Sistamamalover
I've gone from talkin' to walkin'
You touch me deep down inside
Oh can't you see that I'm fallin'
And I can no longer hide
You are my everything
My sistamamalover
You give me everything
I have no need to borrow
And when I think of you
You take away my sorrow
I'll always love you baby
Like there's no tomorrow
When I get up in the morning ( When I get up in the morning )
I feel like I'm so alive (Feel so alive)

Not To Temporary Borrow
What is it you are here to prove?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
And,
What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
Untold?
With a telling of a version,
You hope gets sold.
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
What is it you're here to prove and to who?
A truth...
That I borrowed?
Well...
The truth I know is in me and it is maintained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and it is sustained.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!
The truth I know is in me and remains unchanged.
And...
Not to temporary borrow,
No!

Don't borrow from a baby-boomer, if you borrow, don't spend it.
Ex-Lovers (a found poem*, October,2012)
Borrow my allergies
uptight
as we ate grape
fruits and pinned
numb-
ers-long
Borrow my parts
grandmothers;
Sort out my bank account
sort out my bank account
ridiculously&surely
borrow me
without
an
interest
rate.
Without
love.
Without
the smallest
amount of time
without
posession&thought
Sort out my eye-blink
and piles of money
& messages-
Unpin your palms
to
me.
Unpin your palms
to
me.
And please:
Log off
without
reading
my
in-
box
without
boxing
me
out-
of:
your lipped in a secret alley:
fists.

A sister
A sister is
a shoulder to borrow
an ear to bend
clothes to borrow
money to lend
friday night movies
afternoon walks
being together
girly private talks
mending eachothers hearts
crying those tears
planning our future
voicing our fears
our memories together
will never end
not only are you my sister
your my best friend
and to us there will never be an end x x

If you know what a dollar is worth, try to borrow it.

Macer : A Character
When simple Macer, now of high renown,
First fought a Poet's Fortune in the Town,
'Twas all th' Ambition his high soul could feel,
To wear red stockings, and to dine with Steele.
Some Ends of verse his Betters might afford,
And gave the harmless fellow a good word.
Set up with these he ventur'd on the Town,
And with a borrow'd Play, out-did poor Crown.
There he stopp'd short, nor since has write a tittle,
But has the wit to make the most of little;
Like stunted hide-bound Trees, that just have got
Sufficient sap at once to bear and rot.
Now he begs Verse, and what he gets commends,
Not of the Wits his foes, but Fools his friends.
So some coarse Country Wench, almost decay'd,
Trudges to town, and first turns Chambermaid;
Awkward and supple, each devoir to pay;
She flatters her good Lady twice a day;
Thought wond'rous honest, tho' of mean degree,
And strangely lik'd for her Simplicity:
In a translated Suit, then tries the Town,
With borrow'd Pins, and Patches not her own:
But just endur'd the winter she began,
And in four months a batter'd Harridan.
Now nothing left, but wither'd, pale, and shrunk,
To bawd for others, and go shares with Punk.

The voice that comes to borrow is more humble than the voice that comes to sake payment.
You couldn't beg, borrow, or steal a job in 1931, 1932... it was really tough.

Natural Light
There is nothing wrong in seeing life,
From your perspective and point of view.
That has never been a question I presented to you.
I just have questions why you should have a need,
To constantly borrow my flashlight.
By now your decision to live in darkness,
Seems to be something you are not familiar with.
Or one you are trying to pretend,
Makes more sense than the one I have chosen.
The one I am comfortable in.
And I am to be convinced...
Your way of life is right and envied?
And for you makes tremendous sense?
And you tell me I'm the one in need of therapy?
If I am going to have shadows around me...
The sun is going to be above.
Natural light.
Nothing I need to borrow.
Or discuss its value...
As I stumble around to find my way.
I've done that.
Charading then in masquerade.
No one could tell me I was not fabulous.
A breath of fresh air.
But the staleness of my routine helped me to awaken.
You still have not arrived.
And that's okay.
Either you will...
Or you will kill yourself!

A poet ought not to pick nature's pocket. Let him borrow, and so borrow as to repay by the very act of borrowing. Examine nature accurately, but write from recollection, and trust more to the imagination than the memory.

My Friends
they are my friends because
i am one with the money
and they borrow
and not pay and borrow again and i let them
and they do not pay
and they come
to eat in my house
for free dinners and some snacks
and tell me stories
about their sorrows and problems and their
broken ambitions, and i am left with no choice but to listen
and stop for the meantime
doing the things i want to do, and they call
needing more
and asking more and pouring out and i assure them
i am here
and i am here to listen and cater and always
be their friend
but soon, these, all these will be over
i am tired
being abused by these friends
i guess, i must stop being stupid
i have decided at the end
to lose them and junk them
today, i befriended myself.

Waiting For An Alibi
Valentinos got a booky shop and what he takes
He gives for what hes got
And what hes got he says he has not
Stolen from anyone
Its not that he dont tell the truth
Or even that he misspent his youth
Its just that he holds the proof
But you feel theres somethings wrong
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
Valentinos in a cold sweat, placed all his money on that last bet
Against the odds he smokes another cigarette
Says that it helps him to forget
That hes a nervous wreck
Its not that he misses much
Or even that hes lost his lucky touch
Its just that he gambles so much
And you know that its wrong
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting just to catch your eye
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
Try to say I told you I told you
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting just to get you
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
To say I told you
Waiting for an alibi
Waiting for an alibi
