Malarkey Driven
If the day is fresh...
And has begun anew.
Why do some insist upon dragging,
Old garbage packed upon their backs.
As if that attracts!
With an excitement given.
Anyone wishing,
To make real changes in their lives...
Should come to realize,
Eventually...
Any waste flushed down the toilet,
Seldom returns to the giver.
Unless...
The one donating this mess,
Also enjoys...
Searching through a cesspool,
For something of value dumped yesterday!
And I observe many folks like that.
Anxious to express their burdens.
Day in and day out!
No matter who is offended by the stench.
Or a pride that seems to keep them addicted,
To this ssshhh...'malarkey' driven society.
'If you don't like it here...
Why don't you go back,
To where your ancestors came from? '
I would like to.
But I can not afford the hotel prices.
And the million dollar condos that line the coast,
Are way out of my budget.
Plus,
The last time I visited...
The tourists treated me as if I had invaded,
'Their' space.
