Malarkey Driven

If the day is fresh...
And has begun anew.
Why do some insist upon dragging,
Old garbage packed upon their backs.
As if that attracts!
With an excitement given.

Anyone wishing,
To make real changes in their lives...
Should come to realize,
Eventually...
Any waste flushed down the toilet,
Seldom returns to the giver.

Unless...
The one donating this mess,
Also enjoys...
Searching through a cesspool,
For something of value dumped yesterday!

And I observe many folks like that.
Anxious to express their burdens.
Day in and day out!
No matter who is offended by the stench.
Or a pride that seems to keep them addicted,
To this ssshhh...'malarkey' driven society.

'If you don't like it here...
Why don't you go back,
To where your ancestors came from? '

I would like to.
But I can not afford the hotel prices.
And the million dollar condos that line the coast,
Are way out of my budget.
Plus,
The last time I visited...
The tourists treated me as if I had invaded,
'Their' space.

We Are The Same...

gas rices up,
fuel prices up,
grocery prices up,
heating prices up...

and the poor man's dollar
is still a dollar!

cant afford sickness,
cant afford hospitals,
cant afford shelter,
cant afford, cant afford.

it's time to band together
in small communities,
and be neighbors again.

we cannot rely on the government,
on churches, on the elite...
we have each other,
and that is all!

forget about differences.
skin color, religion, politics...
let it go.
we are the same!

same needs, same desires,
same prayers, same love...
red blooded, dirty, stinking
human beings...
human beings in need
of each other!

Back To The Coast

West coast, try outs
You've got to make it before you die out
New York is the hard way
Time to pack it up and get to L.A.
If you want to be a star get back to the coast
Back to the coast
You're gonna make it real far so get back to the coast
Back to the coast
My way is the sky way
Ain't got no time for the highway
I've got to get to the coast, fast as I can
Get to L.A. we'll be the number one band
If you want to be a star get back to the coast
Back to the coast
You're gonna make it real far so get back to the coast
Back to the coast (come on)
You've got to get on back (get back)
If you want to be a star get back to the coast
Back to the coast
You're gonna make it real far so get back to the coast
Back to the coast
I say back back back back back, back to the coast
Oooo, yeah get back back back back back, back to the coast
Whoa yeah
If you want to be a star get back to the coast
Back to the coast
You're gonna make it real far so get back to the coast
Back to the coast (oh, get on back), back to the coast

Million Dollar Face

You were hungry for the lights,
You spent your nights with socialites
Youre a million-dollar baby
With the million dollar blues
And you only gave your time to people you could use
Million dollar face with million dollar grace
You got off to a real bad start
Million dollar face in million dollar lace
You wound with a two cent heart
You were mine for just a little while
But true to style and with a smile you said,
I have to leave you, baby, hold me one more time
cause I know where I should be and its a long hard climb
Million dollar face with million dollar grace
You got off to a real bad start
Million dollar face in million dollar lace
You wound with a two cent heart
Million dollar face with million dollar grace
You got off to a real bad start
Million dollar face in million dollar lace
You wound with a two cent heart

A Mess Left To Deepen

A mess left to deepen,
By those who now weep...
Yet they swept this mess to lay in the streets.
While shunning away those,
That came to volunteer their services...
For free.
But told the debris,
Had been a figment of imposed negativity.
What was imagined was theirs to condone,
With a turning of their backs...
To expose an ignorance shown.

And what was in sight for all to see,
Was an impossibility to correct...
With a steadfast stubbornness,
Heating up to get more upset.
And what had been mentioned,
Created tensions amongst those offended.

Well...
Offended and left alone to condone their mess,
Has been done.
Leaving those who weep in their sleeplessness,
United with their wishes kept intact.
With nothing to bring them back to their senses.
Since outstanding were the payments...
To keep them smothered in delusions.
And being addicted to delusions is all they've known.

Wasn't It Sold a Long Time Ago

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Integrity?
When did they lose it,
And who took that away?

Dignity and pride?
The last time I witnessed that...
It was on life support.
And I don't think they were able,
To bring any of it back.

Let's see...mmm,
Oh yeah,
Humanity?
Remember when homelessness, poverty and hunger
Were all associated with the inner city folks?
Now everybody wants to get into the act.
But...
Humanity?
Still has taken two or three steps back!

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Jobs and...well, jobs!
Remember the terms downsized and outsourced?
Can you say...
Betrayal and deceit?
And add corporate greed to that.

High prices?
Low or no wages!
The economy is on the brink.
Banks are closing.
And...
No one dares to mention truth.
Or the pollution done to the environment.

Why are people so alarmed?
And what is it are they wishing to take back?
And from whom?

Well...
Not too many are far away from ignorance.
So that can't be what they are wishing to take back.
And if it is the country they refer to?
Wasn't it sold a long time ago...
When racism was used as a distraction?

This country has been ripped to shreds!
With few wishing to prioritize,
A patching of this quilt done.

Catfish

Lazy stadium night
Catfish on the mound.
Strike three, the umpire said,
Batter have to go back and sit down.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.
Used to work on mr. finleys farm
But the old man wouldnt pay
So he packed his glove and took his arm
An one day he just ran away.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.
Come up where the yankees are,
Dress up in a pinstripe suit,
Smoke a custom-made cigar,
Wear an alligator boot.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.
Carolina born and bred,
Love to hunt the little quail.
Got a hundred-acre spread,
Got some huntin dogs for sale.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.
Reggie jackson at the plate
Seein nothin but the curve,
Swing too early or too late
Got to eat what catfish serve.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.
Even billy martin grins
When the fish is in the game.
Every season twenty wins
Gonna make the hall of fame.
Catfish, million-dollar-man,
Nobody can throw the ball like catfish can.

You Will Get What's Coming

What makes you think,
You can play me cheap.
Like a bootlegged DVD,
And get away with it?

Look around you
What part of Earth living the experience,
Is suspended from it
And still exists?
And as part of it
From where I observe with contributions,
I attempt to make to express a thankfulness
I am grounded to grow aware,
Of a 'reality' that escapades are mind made.

You and I may have grown,
With similar capabilities.
But being conscious of doing anything to me
Seems to have affected your beliefs,
You can do to me and go unscathed.

There is not one inhabitant on or 'of' this Earth,
That does a misdeed to another
That will not 'one day' become victimized,
By what has been done!

You may have had your fun
Believing what you did to have done,
To lie and deceive like many 'choose' to perceive
They also can do,
And not be repaid for those efforts.

There is no hiding away to convince others,
You have no clue why someone else does
What they do to you,
And 'you' are innocently treated
As a culprit who has initiated an action,
That has been mistakened.

What makes you think,
You can play me cheap.
Like a bootlegged DVD,
And get away with it?

Look around you
What part of Earth living the experience,
Is suspended from it
And still exists?
And as part of it
From where I observe with contributions,
I attempt to make to express a thankfulness
I am grounded to grow aware,
Of a 'reality' that escapades are mind made.

And folks like you who declare not to know,
Why others do to you what they do
Will eventually expose yourselves.
Physically, mentally
However Mother Nature chooses to do it to you.
You will get what's coming.
And at a price you can afford.

Million Dollar Bash (1)

by Bob Dylan
Well, that big dumb blonde
With her wheel in the gorge
And Turtle, that friend of theirs
With his checks all forged
And his cheeks in a chunk
With his cheese in the cash
They're all gonna be there
At that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash
Ev'rybody from right now
To over there and back
The louder they come
The harder they crack
Come now, sweet cream
Don't forget to flash
We're all gonna meet
At that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash
Well, I took my counselor
Out to the barn
Silly Nelly was there
She told him a yarn
Then along came Jones
Emptied the trash
Ev'rybody went down
To that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash
Well, I'm hittin' it too hard
My stones won't take
I get up in the mornin'
But it's too early to wake
First it's hello, goodbye
Then push and then crash
But we're all gonna make it
At that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash
Well, I looked at my watch
I looked at my wrist
Punched myself in the face
With my fist
I took my potatoes
Down to be mashed
Then I made it over
To that million dollar bash
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
Ooh, baby, ooh-ee
It's that million dollar bash

Falsely Applied Devotion

They still insist,
Upon critiquing others lives.
With a passing of their judgements.

They still point their fingers,
To pick out weirdos and freaks.
Those they consider different from them.

And those folks are hardly uptight.
Those folks picked sleep peacefully at night.

They still insist,
Upon critiquing others lives.
With a passing of their judgements.

And everything around them has begun to sink.
As their hypocritical lives lived...
Shows cracks in foundations,
And with their beliefs on the brink.

But still they think of themselves as better than others.
And nothing they can show with evidence can prove this one bit!
Since the medications they take everyday faithfully...
Can not with falsely applied devotion just be prayed away.
Nor can their evils be hidden in masquerade.

Why Did They Not Move?

'I thought you said all of you were together? '

We were.
Years ago we thought we knew one another.

'Well...
Can you explain to me,
Why you and the others survived this incident...
Unscathed for the most part.
And some did not make it?
They appear to be lost...
Babbling about how things used to be,
In complete darkness.
They seem to be tranced!
Trapped inside some illusion! '

I told them.
It was no mystery what was happening.
I told them that 'truck' was coming,
To dump major trash on them!

'Why did they not move?
They are now at the bottom of that cesspool.'

I was told they did not like my tone of voice...
Nor my attitude!
Many of us got out of the way.
It still affected us.
We prepared to get splashed,
By some of the trash!
But those folks stood there...
Accepting all that garbage!
And no one can tell them,
That's what it is!
They refuse to see it.

'And the sad thing about it...
They are shouting for it to be changed.
But into what? '

That is why we are standing here.
Praying for a miracle.
Some of us have family and friends mixed up,
In that mess.
They shout for a return to relive yesterday.
Some of them have repeated visions,
Of going back 'home'.
Hypnotized by some 'The Land of Oz'!
And we have tried to tell them,
That place does not exist!
And they persist in their own demise.

Out Of This World

When we look back at it all as i know we will
You and me, wide eyed
I wonder...
Will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?
And i know we have to go
I realize we only get to stay so long
Always have to go back to real lives
Where we belong
Where we belong
Where we belong
When we think back to all this and i'm sure we will
Me and you, here and now
Will we forget the way it really is
Why it feels like this and how?
And we always have to go i realize
We always have to say goodbye
Always have to go back to real lives
But real lizes are the reason why
We want to live another life
We want to feel another time
Another time...
Yeah another time
To feel another time...
When we look back at it all as i know we will
You and me, wide eyed
I wonder...
Will we really remember how it feels to be this alive?
And i know we have to go
I realize we always have to turn away
Always have to go back to real lives
But real lives are why we stay
For another dream
Another day
For another world
Another way
For another way...
One last time before it's over
One last time before the end
One last time before it's time to go again...

People Experience

It’s so much fun to observe people
As you travel all around
They make life so interesting
A fun experience I have found

A man who knows his candy
And shares the tastes with you
A gal who enjoys watermelon
The taste so fresh and true

A lovely sales lady in Russia
A gardener in Oklahoma
A lady making Crepe Suzettes
Some of the many folks I saw

Folks that we see everyday
Just out doing their jobs
But it’s fun if we can stop
To meet and maybe hob nob

The lady atop an elephant
At a circus nearby your home
Folks who work here an there
Oh, it’s so much fun to roam

Whether you study these folks
Or just see them at a glance
It makes your life much richer
To have a people experience!

Indoctrinated Through Ancestry

They are here in droves...
Those me-me-I-I folks.
The ones who have been told they are attractive.
Those with slave mentalities,
And still trying to please their masters.

And I can not say how many folks there are...
Who are afraid to express too much 'identity'.
For fear they will upset someone else's wishes!
And they know what on me they can kiss!
Anyone who has a mind like this!
I'm not having none of it.
There is an addicted sickness inflicted.
Alive and well.
And profiting the few,
Who have so many messed up in their heads!

The more pretentious the folks...
One can find them driven to play charades,
On all coasts.
Wherever they are found 'coasting' and cruising!
It just seems that way.
Those on escapades and away from their identities.
And ready to please.
As if indoctrinated through ancestry!

Sweet Home

My home is calling
And my heart; responding
The abode of pleasures and exhilaration
Where my mind prepares for some missions
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

Am not among those who cry
Seeking for hope, but it's dry
Am a free man
Facing difficulties which is so hard
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

Do i look like a convict?
The one who cries in the prison
Or like the bee that flies
And returns with joy to it hive
No! But no! I am not
I don't crave for the monastery, I'm not a monk
All i want is to return back home
To stay with folks but not alone
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

I traveled abroad
I had much fun
I visited the queen
She offered me a tea
With all these pleasures
Without doubt cos am so sure
The home holds lot in hand
Treasures, happiness, so much to count
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

I went to Brazil
I saw their windmills
I ate their food
Which made me cool
Delicious was it their fried fish
The one i ate which made me wishing
Then i remember the panla which we eat at home
So delicious and irresistible for the hungry throat
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

I journeyed to Kenya
I saw a tiger
Its eyes scared me
Its claws; waiting for a meal
I rode on an elephant
So huge; so large
I saw lot of things
The zoo, the views
But still i craved
For my home; for my space
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep

I traveled all around the world
And everything seemed so bored
My eyes craved only for my beautiful home
My hands, my mouth and my little nose
They are all wishing to see
My house, my room, my folks in the street
All i have to do is go back home
To stay with folks and sleep on their foams
For wherever you are meant to be
Your home provides a beautiful space to sleep
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep.

The Burden...

there are burdens
like sack filled with rocks
at our backs
we feel the weights
pulling us
to the holes of this earth
but those
who underestimated us
cannot see

we carry these burdens
silently
those that watch and humiliate us
shall never know
the wisdom we have
our sacrifices are invisible
our faces show nothing
but satisfaction

there are burdens
that make our lives worth living
in another hour.

Talent That Is Given

Would you ask a mason,
To build you a home?
Because it appears...
He enjoys laying bricks.

Would you ask an architect,
To design it for you...
Without a thought of paying for it.

Would you ask someone to 'act' for you?
Because that's what you know they do.
And acting seems easy too?
That's what many people think.
Until they discover each would printed...
Has to be absorbed into the brain to sink.
Without pauses or thoughts to make one blink.
If that is not in the script!

And what would you get from that?
A satisfaction you believe,
Others are wishing to supply?
Or are you just a dreamer?
Thinking what seems easy for others...
So you also wish to give that a try!

Just because one does what one enjoys...
Does not mean it comes easy.
Well...
Maybe for them it does.
Because that's what they wish to do.
Like some folks climb mountains.
While others jump from planes...
Using a parachute.

Or perhaps you believe it takes less work
To get what you observe,
Done.
Whatever it is.
You believe for you will be equal fun.

Well...
Let me say this!
If something done appears easy.
And it has a quality.
Someone has taken hours, years...
And maybe a lifetime to perfect it.
And a talent that is given...
Does not diminish the time one gives to it.
WORK is involved!
With a concentrated effort.
